9. John and Cyn (1962)

I feel a little bad ranking them this low because the four of them had about two shillings to rub together between themselves, but this was just not a great effort. John appears to be wearing A Suit. Perhaps with a tie of some sort. Paul and George's fits look kind of similar, which makes me think he got married in his Beatles suit. I guess that was an appropriate start to their marriage.

Cynthia's having a classic Cher Horowitz faux Chanel suit moment. It's not a bad look, but it's literally something you would see in Zara. There's a pneumatic drill in the background. Cyn nearly got married to George instead. What a world that would be.

8. Paul and Heather (2002)

Did you know this was one of the most expensive weddings in history? It cost 3.6 million. They rented a castle in Co. Monaghan. There were fireworks. Did you know that Heather Mills wore the most 1980s wedding dress known to man in 1989? These are the things I was forced to find out while researching this look.

I originally had this a bit higher. I didn't want to rank it low just Because Heather. But the more I look at this dress, the more I hate it. She's doing the Kate Midleton lace sleeves -- which, in fairness, was pretty forward-thinking in 2002 -- but then the lace just goes over the whole outfit, which has the effect of making everything look very same-y. Barbie in A Christmas Carol executed this idea way better.

I don't have many objections to Paul's outfit. He wore a vest. That's effort. And he matched his tie to the flowers. Like job done, basically. My only real issue here is the lack of vision. If I was Paul McCartney in 2002 and a knight of the British Empire or whatever, and I'm getting married in a castle -- I'd have a sassy little sword with me. Perhaps even just to cut the cake. Come on.

7. Paul and Linda (1969)

Don't let the cuteness of the pictures distract you from the fact that they're both dressed like they have a meeting with Harry from accounting in an hour. Paul appears to have shown the barber a picture of the guy from The Peep Show. She married him when his hair looked like that. That's love.

It's possible that Linda is wearing a non-business casual outfit under the trench. We'll never know. The problem is that these people refused to get married any time outside of the cold months. It's weird how this is the one Indian thing they all adopted.

The kid is a fun accessory. I enjoy how she and Linda appear to be matching trenches.

6. Maureen and Ringo (1965)

I enjoy how Cyn, John, and George seem to be haunting the proceedings in the second picture.

Originally, I had this lower, but you know what? I like Maureen's little Jackie O suit with the Peter Pan collar, and I love that hair accessory she has over her bun with the bow. Ringo is fine, even if he does look like he's wearing his Dad's jacket. I really don't think it's supposed to fit like that. You're Ringo Starr and this is your wedding, you couldn't get it tailored? Or just buy one that fits better?

And once again: she married him when his hair looked like that.

5. [ERROR] (1978)

I saw a lot of sources saying the first pic is George and Olivia. It is not. The man looks a bit like George, but the woman looks nothing like Olivia. The second picture, I think, is from George and Olivia's wedding, and yes, that is the best quality I could find. I think George has the same '70s open-collar suit thing as the man in the fake picture, but that's about all I can tell. Olivia could literally be wearing a rug for all I can see about her outfit. Since this is Schroedinger's Beatle wedding look -- neither good nor bad since I Literally Can't See It -- it goes right in the middle.

I can't believe they wanted to have a small personal wedding. It's like they weren't even thinking about all the Tumblrinas.

4. Paul and Nancy (2011)

Nancy's wearing a Stella McCartney dress -- cute -- inspired by Wallis Simpson of all people, which is kind of wild as royal wedding inspiration goes, but I like it. It's tasteful while still being unconventional.

Paul also looks great. The longer hair suits him much better. Nancy Shevall is a businesswoman, and it shows. She did not marry a man with bad hair.

3. George and Pattie (1966)

Mary Quant herself personally designed George's coat. That's how serious this is.

It's a strange occurrence because this is one of the few times that `I feel more let down by the woman than the man. Don't get me wrong, Pattie looks great. Her hair's great. Makeup: great. The tights? The coat? Fantastic. But the dress itself does look like something I wore to my friend's birthday party when I was eight. Do better.

Not featured: Paul McCartney being out of his gourd during the proceedings. Sorry, Paul. This ain't about him.

2. Ringo and Barbara (1981)

Unghhh they look so good. Sorry there's no joke.

Barbara's dress is so lovely and romantic -- I think it might be a top and a skirt, actually? Anyway, love the neckline, love the sleeves, love the bell skirt. The flowers tucked in at the waist? The lace? That's how you do lace, Heather! And Ringo. He got his hair cut by someone who actually likes him this time, and he's wearing a jacket that fits! That's how you know he was serious about it, and it shows -- forty-two years later. Very fond of the star pin on his lapel.

What really puts this look over a lot of the others is I do feel like they coordinated, her in all white and him in all black. And they one-upped both John and Paul by having not just one, but two kids. Beat that, McLennon.

Awarding The Beatles with The Order of The British Empire

George: "Brian was not invited to the palace. In my opinion, we were only allowed to invite someone from our family. He must have been annoyed in his heart. But he didn't show it."

Cynthia: "One thing was disappointing: the Beatle families were not invited to the palace for the ceremony. However, the guys didn't want that either: they were so nervous themselves that they didn't have enough to worry about their loved ones. We, their wives and girlfriends, really wanted to go with them, but the guys decided that it was better without us, since a real pandemonium of hysterical fans was expected at the palace. We watched everything on TV and were incredibly proud of them."

Tony Barrow: "The Beatles went to Buckingham Palace in John's shiny Rolls Royce Phantom 5 ("exactly the same as Elvis, but my windows are tinted")."

Barry Miles: "The group arrived at Buckingham Palace at 11 a.m. for the award ceremony in the Great Throne Room. Outside, about four thousand fans chanted "yee-yee-yee" and pressed the police, who tried to restrain them, and therefore could not prevent them from climbing the gates and lampposts at the palace.

John: "We were instructed in advance by some big guy, a guardsman."

Paul: "He took us aside and explained what we should do: "Approach Her Majesty like this, do not take your eyes off her, and do not speak to her until she speaks to you." And all that. It was pretty funny."

John: "When the names were read out and we got to Ringo Starr, we almost burst out laughing."

Paul: "The word "Starr" was a signal for us to step forward with our left foot, as instructed. It was like some kind of performance."

Ringo: "Then we bowed our heads and went to the Queen."

Barry Miles: "The Queen shook their hands, talked to each of them and attached an award."

John: "I really wanted to laugh. We were giggling like crazy all the time because we had just smoked a joint in the toilet at Buckingham Palace. We were very nervous."

George: "No, we didn't smoke marijuana before the ceremony. Just regular cigarettes. I have no doubt that years later John turned those cigarettes of ours into joints. What could be more terrible before meeting the Queen? Get high! But no, we didn't do that."

Ringo: "I was so worried that I won't remember anything anymore."

Tony Barrow: "After the ceremony, they were inspired, but nothing in their eyes, voices or other signs suggested that they were under the grass. I doubt they even took her to the palace, which was swarming with security forces of all levels."

John: "Although we didn't attach much importance to the royal family, you can't help but be impressed when you're in the palace, when you realize that you're standing in front of the queen. It was like a dream. Fine.

The music was playing, I looked at the ceiling – and it's not a bad ceiling. It was a historic moment. It's like you're in a museum."

Barry Miles: "The Beatles were awarded the Order of the British Empire, the lowest of the five categories of the order. His title ranks 120th out of 126 in the ranking system."

Ringo: "I was wondering if Brian was upset that he wasn't awarded this order. But he was always really happy for us. I think if he wanted to, he would even be knighted.

Barry Miles: "Immediately after the award ceremony, a press conference was organized in the bar of the Saville Theater, where the band members discussed their award and made comments about the protesting statements of the award recipients addressed to them."

Tony Barrow: "Brian Epstein was pleased with the Beatles' remarks that he deserved such an order."

George: "I brought the order home and put it in a drawer, and later put it on for shooting for Pepper's envelope, and Paul did the same. The order remained pinned to my Pepper coat for another year, and then I put it back in the box and put it in the closet."

John: "I keep the order in the smallest room of my house–in my office."

And closer to Christmas, John will give his order to Aunt Mimi.

What a pity that it was impossible to take pictures at Buckingham Palace!

Ringo's pov - what was his opinion on JP

I think at the beginning Ringo tried to be as assertive as possible with them. He gave it all for the band, but after some time he realised that maybe he was naive, and reflected about what he had done. I think it took a lot of effort to convince himself that he was part of the group, but when he did, he felt very happy. It was like an evolution. He thought so much about this and now he felt that he was accepted. I think this was the time when he felt secure, and the time that he thought he could actually do something for himself, but it was something very messy, didn’t think very well about the details, so he felt very depressed for the outcome. I think he tried his best to be as good as possible, but he was very confused, because he thought John and Paul didn’t help him enough. What he couldn’t see, is that they made what they could with the time that they had. But Ringo didn’t understand it and just left them for some time. The cards are still telling me this story about opportunities, so I end this here.

The truth is that I don’t know very much about Ringo’s solo career, but the vibe I’ve got is that it has to be something about it.

Did Ringo know that John and Paul had “something” going on?

At the beginning, the cards start telling me about how he saw them: they were very good friends, “I can’t judge this”. But after some time he questioned their relationship. He tried very hard to “not think bad”, about their weird interactions. But It was like “maybe it’s not what I’m thinking of…maybe this is how they are: they are playful, they are just like kids”. And also it was like “but I know them! They are just two powerful people that happen to be friends” (the leader + the knight (the one that look for the messy parts).

He tried to convince himself very hard that he hadn’t had to think that kind of things. But it was hard! John and Paul would do weird shit again and Ringo was like “ok, there’s something here”. It was like he knew that the dots weren’t connecting. He also thought that If something was happening, maybe it wouldn’t be that bad. It seems to me that he had asked about this to one of them or them. Or probably said it in a way that they could understand what he was talking about. The thing is, the answer that he wanted wasn’t the right one, but it was the answer that he expected. Because that meant that he was right 😢. He thought a lot about them, but this time as a couple, not as friends. He thought about how sad was the whole situation. Because he saw how they were, how they acted, and the things they could’ve done. And how impossible everything it seemed. After that, he tried to not involve himself more in the situation. He also time to time thought how they could be with women??? 😂😭. But overall he thought this was very sad and complicated.

Quick Thoughts On Blue Eyed Samurai

Blue Eyed Samurai feels both extremely familiar and extremely distinct.

All of the characters are archetypes we’ve seen before:

Stoic loner on a quest for revenge

Princess who doesn’t want to be married off

Chivalrous knight

Large guy who is nice but also dumb

However, it is the way these characters are used which makes it special. Our main character, Mizu, is more than just your usual Bryonic character. Obviously, there’s the racial identity and the ambiguous gender and sexuality, but what we learn about their backstory makes them unique. We get an entire episode focusing on how Mizu played the role of a traditional woman for a time, and she didn’t hate it. Mizu is not only mistrustful because of the abuse she suffered as a child, it was because her husband betrayed her, and that was after she embarked on her quest for revenge! I can’t think of another story which does that.

I was also surprised that the blacksmith who raised Mizu is still alive in the present. It shows that there are other choices for Mizu to take in life, and she’s aware of this, but she’s still willing to throw it all away. Her quest for revenge is one of the most illogical quests for revenge ever, and that’s what makes it so interesting.

Taigen is also a really fascinating character because of his dynamic with Mizu. Him wanting to protect her so he can later kill her is pretty hilarious. We really understand that Taigen is constantly trying to prove himself as this honorable samurai, even in situations where it doesn’t matter at all. Both him and Mizu are on really stupid quests. The two are actually quiet similar in a lot of ways, and that makes their dynamic all the more fun.

Ringo is a weird character. At first, I found his childish attitude rather annoying, and he seemed rather one note. However, I quickly changed my mind. Ringo actively making the decision to leave Mizu was not something completely unexpected, but it was done in a perfect way. Not only that, but he never really makes things better between him and Mizu, they just realize they need to work together. This makes Ringo really interesting.

Akemi is also an interesting character just because of how complex her arc in this season is. She doesn’t to be this princess, but then she finally escapes and goes on an adventure, and she hates it. Then, she learns to actively get power by following the rules of her society. This is really interesting in comparison to Mizu, who does the exact opposite. Akemi learns that what she really wants is independence, not to become someone else. Her story has a lot of interesting things to say about growing up and having to care of yourself and how stressful it is, and it wraps that together with these musings on how women can have strength in a patriarchy.

This story also has a variety of fantastic side characters. I love the main villain, Fowler, as he’s not just evil, he just annoys everyone around him. He’s also a good example of a character who has a tragic backstory, but that doesn’t make us feel bad for him, it just makes us understand him. This guy is beyond sympathy, but seeing him as a human being makes him all the more terrifying.

I also like Fowler’s reluctant henchman because of how frustrated he is with the story he’s in. It’s very funny.

The head prostitute lady was interesting in the way she represented another way for women to get power Mizu and Akemi’s methods, where she weaponizes her womanhood, but in a way that society frowns on.

While the characters are fun, the story does a fantastic job of having them all cross paths at different points, which is extraordinarily satisfying to see.

The story also has some delightful world building. We get a very clear sense of this world, which feels both real and exciting, and we also see how the culture affects every specific character.

Moving on from the writing, the animation can look a little odd at points just in the way the characters look. It’s stuck in an awkward place between realism and stylization, and it’s mixing 3-d and 2-d and it looks a bit awkward. However, I wouldn’t say the animation is bad. It is very fluid, which helps for the fight scenes, which are all absolutely perfect. 

I suppose another complaint I have is that Mizu is a bit to good at being a fighter, to the point where it removes some tension from the story. However, I don’t care to much.

Overall, the show was a very fun time.

Just before homeroom, I listened back to the composition I wrote...

Back when I made it, I thought I did the best I could, but when I listen to it now, I feel like there are some things I’d like to fix.

Haruka Nanami: Hmm… As I thought, listening to it now, it’s not good enough...

Masato Hijirikawa: Hm? Nanami. What are you listening to?

Haruka Nanami: Ehm… I was listening to the composition I submitted at the time of the entrance exam. I thought I could use it as a reference for when I write something new.

Masato Hijirikawa: ...Your composition…? Would you mind letting me listen to it as well?

Haruka Nanami: Ah, not at all. Here you go. It’s a bit embarrassing, though…

I handed my headphones to Hijirikawa-sama.

He closed his eyes and silently listened to my composition.

Shining Saotome: One who is an idol has to be a woman’s knight at any given time! Princess carrying is a necessity in order to learn that iron rule.

Masato Hijirikawa: However, this school has an overwhelming amount of male idols as well as male composers.

Masato Hijirikawa: I think there are more men partnering with each other, rather than men with women.

Shining Saotome: There will be male pairs as well. It’ll just be faaanservice.

Shining Saotome: However, any team that cannot keep up the princess carry will be disqualified immediately!

Otoya Ittoki: Whoa... A guy holding another guy princess-style… That’s a sight I wouldn’t really want to see…

Shining Saotome: Then, let me show you an example! Ringo-saaan! Ryuya-saaan!

Even though he said that, Hyuga-sensei picked up Tsukimiya-sensei with a practiced hand.

While saying so, Tsukimiya-sensei wrapped his hands around Hyuga-sensei’s neck.

Growing up: Since his mother died from an illness at the age of 3 he doesn’t really remember much about his mother other than what she looks thanks to the photo of her that his grandpa still have in the house, on the age of 7 Jake wants to have his grandpa to teach him how to Airbend, on the age of 13 some elder from the White Lotus came to their house to tell them that Jake is the Avatar and since then Jake has been training to master his Airbending the problem is, like Aang and Korra, the elders wants Jake to focus his Avatar training and wants his existence to be a secret in order to protect him from the Red Lotus and because of that he never had a normal life, he never gone to school or made any friends except for Yamu the flying bison and Ringo the winged lemur, on the age of 15 almost 16 Jake has taken a trial whether he pass his Airbending training or not (like the one with Korra Firebending training) he was so excited to pass this test so he could go take a break and maybe finally go to the outside world, what shocked him when he passed his Airbending training, the elders immediately sent to the Northern Water Tribe for his waterbending training. This upset him and starting arguing with the elders that he wants to take a break to go on a trip to America that he always want to see, that he doesn’t want being coop up with his training every single of his lifes, even his grandpa was upset at the elders for not giving his grandson a normal life, after the argument Jake decide to escape from the temple go to America while hiding so with the help of his grandpa he was able to escaped with Yamu and Ringo. When he made it to America between Hollywood and California during his adventure he hears music and see a crowd of people watching and betting on dance battle and then somehow got drag in the dance battle and was able to win the battle one of the crowds apparently was the principle of Hollywood Arts High School offer him to attend to his school from there he made friends but somehow the Red Lotus found out about the Avatar is a student in Hollywood Arts so they decide to go after him and tried to kill, and there went out and he eventually won, then SHIELD found out about him and Director Fury invited him to the Avengers initiative and have him train with them, of course, he will have his break. During his break after training with SHIELD he met Loki after bump into him and have a talk, he made friends with him and introduce him to ice cream and when Coulson found out about Loki is the same as Thor he told Fury and ordered by him to have him to the Avengers Initiative. And things went there as usual in the canon add Jake and Loki in the Avengers, Amora is the villain instead of Loki, and have Loki join Team Avatar and have him stayed on Earth because he wants to take care his adopted son, Jake also involved in Ragnarok when he take Odin to Norway and meet up with Thor, Loki, and Amora and help them. And thanks with the help of Jake, Loki was able to survive against Thanos but Amora still died from him, the Infinity Wars still the same and also Jake and Loki the Snaps by the way, the Endgame though, let’s just say with the involve of Jake and Loki, Tony Stark was able to survive and somehow bring Natasha and Gamora back to life.

Where they are at present: After the Endgame, Jake and Loki are still active as an Avengers on Earth and sometimes help the other active superheroes on Earth and because some of the canon mcu movies/series went different and tried to balancing to the normal life they still have while helping people to the best of their abilities.

Hey guys!! I hope you all like my avatar oc, I have always love Avatar: TLA and LoK and the MCU movies and the cartoons and Victorious so I just combine them all into crossover, I hope you all like what I made in his biography, I’m not really good when it comes to making a story so I’m sorry if the plot or the story doesn’t make any sense, but hey, I did tried my best and this is pretty much what I thought on my oc so I hope you all enjoy it.

In this Au it was right after Legend of Korra, it has been years ever and in each years the Era of Bending has almost come to the end but the Avatar cycle still continues on through generations and generations, the Avatar still exist in WW2 with Captain America.

This crossover Au as you know different in the canon because in here Loki is not the enemy in the first Thor movie instead Amora is the villain as she made friend with Loki and take her to Asgard using him so she could take the throne, and after Thor banishment Loki didn’t accept the throne when Frigga offer him when Odin in his Odinsleep because it’s too much for him Thor banishment and the revelation of Adoption so he goes to Earth for fresh air, that’s when he meet Jake in one of SHIELD base the one where mjolnir is being held for training for the Avengers initiative, and things went there as usual in the canon plus with Jake and Loki as an Avengers ‘cause I love Loki okay.

Living Machines?

So I'm meant to be getting ready for a holiday and instead I'm stuck being weird about anthropomorphic steam engines. (I haven't been here since I was about six, and I'm now the wrong side of forty. Go figure.)

Someone I recently started to follow on tumblr posted a really cute picture on Sunday that piqued my interest, and I ended up in th "TTTE" tag, and-

And for THE ENTIRE WEEK I haven't been able to get it out of my head. Argh.

To be fair I have always liked the concept of living machines. Of course there was Terrahawks, but I grew up on Thomas and Friends (my Mum had a book from the printers that had been stuck into the covers wrong way up, and I can still hear Ringo Starr narrating), as well as things like Knight Rider, and Herbie, and so on.

(It probably doesn't help that I'm going for another trip on Waverley soon, who is a glorious old paddle steamer, and who is really hard not to think of as a living creature when you're down in the publically-accessible engine room, watching her pistons and gears and listening to her BREATHE.)

Is it bad that this is spawning moooore writing ideas. *le grand sigh*

Other nonsense under the cut.

So first a disclaimer: I'm not a huge fan of "characters re-envisioned entirely as humans" stories (or "characters can become human at a whim with no complications or even any visible shapeshifting"). It's not that I don't enjoy them, because I've read some and enjoyed them, but it's not what I'd go out of my way to choose to read. (And done badly, it's just cheating.)

Give me sappy old hundred-ton sentient machines figuring things out and having totally different ways of emoting and being affectionate because they're machines, right?

So with that disclaimer out of the way...

This is precisely what my unconscious brain has said yes, go write that!

Whyyy, brain.

If a character has to become human, for me, it has to be for plot, like… one half of the pair (because we like snuggly romance as well, come on) becomes human by mystical woo because plot happens, and then when the shock of oh holy hell what the fuck is all this has faded, they have to somehow cope with their new anatomy and fragility and everything. But, only ONE HALF of the pair change. That would be fun I think. Ultimately, one has to be the other's driver/fireman/whichever-they-will-enjoy-the-absolute-least because PLOT HAPPENS.

"I've never seen this before from this angle."

Gets weird about touching the other's controls because it feels strange (and a little bit publically intimate?). Eventually they're out in the middle of nowhere because that annoying plot happens again when one of the actually-human-born-humans collapses because medical issue like an injury or a heart attack (don't worry they have plot armour, they'll be fine, it's just an NSTEMI) and the shapeshifted engine eventually gets yelled at for being ridiculous about not helping crew their friend because they're IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE and they have to get the injured man to hospital BEFORE THEY DIE so stop being an idiot and drive (or at least fucking shovel, man)!

Side benefit of still trying to be romantic and snuggly even though only one of them is still a hundred-plus-tonne sentient steam locomotive, any more.

(Sidenote: I do think it's funny there's apparently an engine called "Hiro" in later series of TTTE)

Unfamiliar adrenaline surged through his veins. In spite of breath ragged from exertion and hot as steam in his lungs, and a heart pounding in time with the clackety-clack as they thundered over the expansion gaps in the rails, it felt like they were one enormous single organism with multiple hearts all beating together, perfectly synchronised for that one singular purpose - save the dying human in the cab.

2007 - Bono

U2 singer Bono accepted an honorary knighthood at a ceremony in Dublin. Fellow band members The Edge and Adam Clayton joined the frontman's wife and four children at the British ambassador David Reddaway's official residence. The rock star and campaigner, 46, was not entitled to be called "Sir" because he is not a British citizen. The U2 singer's new title is Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE).

2005 - Neil Young

Neil Young was treated for a brain aneurysm at a hospital in New York. Doctors expected the 59 year old to make a full recovery. The aneurysm was discovered when Young's vision became blurred after the induction ceremony for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last month.

1999 - David Bowie

The David Bowie Internet Radio Network broadcast its first show for Rolling Stone Radio. The show was Bowie's favourite songs with Bowie introducing each track.

1996 - Phil Spector

Two former members of the 1950s group, The Teddy Bears filed suit in Los Angeles, California, against producer Phil Spector and several labels. Carol Connors and Marshall Lieb alleged they had not received royalties from re-issues of their 1958 No.1 hit 'To Know Him Is To Love Him'.

1986 - Falco

Austrian singer Falco started a three-week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Rock Me Amadeus', also a No.1 in the UK. Falco became the first German speaking artist to achieve a No.1 on the US charts.

1980 - Mantovani

Mantovani, (Annunzio Paolo Mantovan), Orchestra leader died aged 74. Born in Italy his family moved to England in 1912, where he studied at Trinity College of Music in London. He recorded over 50 albums for Decca records, including Song from Moulin Rouge and Cara Mia, both reached No. 1 in the UK. In the United States, between 1955 and 1972, he released over 40 albums with 27 reaching the Top 40 and 11 the Top Ten. His biggest success was with the album Film Encores, which made it to No. 1 in 1957.

1979 - Bob Dylan

After attending a Dire Straits show during their residency at the Roxy in Los Angeles, Bob Dylan asked Mark Knopfler and drummer Pick Withers to play on the sessions for his next album. Slow Train Coming was the album, recorded in Muscle Shoals in May of 1979, with Jerry Wexler producing. Dylan had first heard Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler when his assistant Arthur Rosato played him the single 'Sultans of Swing'.

1978 - David Bowie

David Bowie kicked off his Low / Heroes 77-date World Tour at San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California.

1975 - Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin saw all six of their albums in the US Top 100 chart in the same week, alongside their latest album Physical Graffiti at No.1. Physical Graffiti has now been certified 16 times Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for US sales in excess of 16 million copies.

1973 - Dr Hook And The Medicine Show

Dr Hook And The Medicine Show got their picture on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine after their hit, 'The Cover of Rolling Stone' reached No. 6 on the US singles chart. According to members of the group, they really did buy five copies for their mothers, just like the song said.

1969 - John Lennon

John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Black Sabbath, The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Curved Air, J.J. Jackson's Dilemma, Shy Limbs, Spontaneous Music Ensemble, Sunflower Brass Band and Toe Fat all appeared at the London Free Easter Festival in Bethnal Green, London, England.

1967 - The Beatles

Working at Abbey Road studios The Beatles finished recording ‘Good Morning Good Morning’. They then started work on a new song ‘With a Little Help From My Friends’, (originally titled ‘Bad Finger Boogie’), recording 10 takes of the rhythm track, then Ringo overdub a double-tracked lead vocal.

1966 - Mick Jagger

Rolling Stone Mick Jagger was injured during a gig in Marseilles, Southern France after a fan threw a chair at the stage. Jagger required eight stitches in the cut.

Okay but genuinely, ‘Lost in a Foreign Land’ and ‘A Company Vanishing into the Deeps’ were so incredibly fascinating for getting into the Fatui’s mindset. We’ve gotten that a little bit with Childe, but Childe is a tiny sample size, being a single person, and is a bit unique being a Harbinger. He’s also not totally accurate compared to the footsoldiers, because compared to most of them he also has his own personal desire-- fighting stronger and stronger foes. 

From the two Chasm World Quests I mentioned, however, most of the Fatui seem to believe they’re good guys, but also can comprehend why others would see them as bad guys. 

The Remnants of the Ninth Company really seem to hope to see the Traveller again as a friend, but at the same time, they’ll fight you with what seemed like no hard feelings should the need arise. 

Likewise, Katarina was distressed enough over her actual brother’s disappearance that she abandoned the rest of the Ninth Company to search for him, despite the other surviving Ninth Company members viewing her as a sister. But when you tell her Kolya might have survived by fleeing a battle, she says that if that is the truth, she’ll have to kill him for being a deserter, and seems intent on following through despite the thought appearing to distress her. She seems to have similar feelings about Gendou Ringo. 

It’s really interesting to see their worldview, and supports my theory that the Tsaritsa has good intentions, but has come down on being EXTREMELY ‘ends justify the means.’ It’s also interesting to see just how much the Fatui honor their ancestors who fought in the Cataclysm, and why the Fatui were originally in Liyue to begin with-- to investigate the potential of signs of the Cataclysm in the Chasm. 

...Actually, knowing my theories that Mondstadt and Khaenri’ah have some special connection, I wonder if that’s why Fatui sometimes try making moves in Mondstadt. Like, in the Prologue there was obviously Durin, and the need to acquire a Gnosis... but they still seem to have a presence with Viktor, Mikhail, Lyudmila... 

It’s also interesting to see how much of the Fatui mindset in footsoldiers appears to revolve around the Cataclysm. Anton and his troops appear to have never forgotten it, but almost no one in Liyue, Mondstadt, and Inazuma seems to remember it. Ignoring what Ei has told us, the only people to really talk about events that happened around the time of the Cataclysm are Zhiqiong talking about the Lost Yaksha, and Neko missing Asase Hibiki. Otherwise, only people who lived through the Cataclysm seem to mention it. And it’s not like people in Teyvat don’t care about the past-- the Knights of Favonius continue to honor Venessa’s memory and resent the Lawrence Clan for what they did, for example. 

But like... The Cataclysm appears to be a thing of the past for everyone else, while it’s still very much an ongoing crisis for the Fatui.
