i was into slay the princess before listening to the magnus archives, but going back to watch a playthrough of the game NOW makes me feel insane. i can’t unhear jonathan sims, head archivist. with every word the narrator says, i feel like i’m listening to jon read the longest, most convoluted set up for the supernatural experience of a person described in their statement, ever.

“…i found myself on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path was a cabin, and in the basement of that cabin was a princess. apparently, i was here to slay her, which brings me to the first strange thing; there was a voice in my head describing my every action, and telling me what to do. the second strange thing was what happened once i did enter the cabin and meet the princess…”
