Fuck it Sentinel TFA apparently canonical writes bad poetry so I 10000% am putting his ass in the category of also writing rpf and interfaction smut. It’s his dirty secret. Optimus used to beta read for him before everything went to hell and they often used those fics for roleplay purposes because of course the uptight little autobot cadet is secretly thinking about what if would be like to be swept away in a Decepticon raid and and get the life fragged out of.

So of course when Optimus shows up back on cybertron now a hero and with the Decepticons leader now his partner and sub, he caves pretty easy into playing bitch for Optimus’s new guard dog and taking his old friend’s spike at the same time. Turns out that little fantasy of getting swept away from his responsibilities did come true in the end! Just also from the autobot magnus AND the decepticon leader ;)

Optimus was definitely writing rpf using all the old war vids as inspiration and he definitely wrote incredibly self indulgent reader x Megatron pwp to post on cybertronian ao3. And that has not changed at all now that he's actually encountered Megatron irl. However, he does now get a lot more guest commenters complimenting him on his "true to life" characterization of the warlord in his more recent works.

Anyways YEAH (assuming this a tfa cuz. cmon man) Optimus is not stopped in the slightest by actually knowing Megatron as a real mech. In fact, he's just encouraged! His works get even better too when he convinces Prowl to beta read (on the condition he writes some about bounty hunters and ninja bots)

After Optimus inserts actual dialogue and interactions into his fics a few times too many to be considered a coincidence, several of the Decepticons on Earth make the connection between him and their guilty pleasure reader insert smut.

Optimus is confused when during several fights some of the Cons just... don't fully connect their punches and even seem to just straight up miss shooting at him.

They'd be in huge trouble for sure if Megatron found out they were going easy on an Autobot, but the Decepticons in the know just have to find out what happens next in part 53 of The Warlord's Hidden Desire!

(Optimus's RPF era) Optimus starts getting a boatload more writing requests and even some commissions. This is the most popular he's ever been! But some readers complain that it's just soooooo obvious he's never seen con spike or tried those interface positions and that he should really stick to things he has personal experience in.

Optimus contemplates fragging the enemy for material for his fanfiction.

Omg I bet it's just the cons trying to get him to fuck them. He's actually scary accurate for having no experience. He doesn't know that though, so these cons are gonna be getting laid pretty soon for the writing advice ;)
