       a starter for @katieqecko / @katieqeckowrites !!
Xavier wasn’t stressed per say, but he had piles of work to do on his desk, work that had to do with the company he owned and ran. But he needed relief, he needed something to take his mind off of it all. He knew, leaving would only prove finishing his work harder than need be, so rather than leaving the comfort of his office adorned in wood and gold accents, Xavier had sent a message to Tessa, telling her to get ready as his driver would be there in less than fifteen minutes to pick her up. After the message was sent, Xavier could feel the grin pulling at the corner of his lips, the thought of seeing Tessa already putting him in a better mood.
The man knew it didn’t take long based on the sound of the door opening and closing behind two sets of feet walking into the flat. Xavier had messaged his driver-- who also happened to be his right hand and closest confidant, telling the older man to escort Tessa towards his office, a place where not many people found themselves. His office was a sacred place, where many things found themselves hidden. It was the place Xavier locked himself away in to escape, but Tessa was someone he found himself trusting, someone he wanted to surround his senses entirely with.
When the door to his office opened and the sound of steps crossing the threshold were heard, Xavier lifted his head to see the blonde, his tongue darting out to wet his lower lip, “Miss Montgomery... I’m glad to see you.”

Looking for a 1x1 partner, who enjoys writing for fandomless OCs and who loves to world build. I much prefer playing female and female-presenting characters, but I’m not opposed to playing male and male-presenting characters on occasion as well - I’m just a bit more picky when it comes to them.
Must be 21+, although there will definitely be no heavy smut until our characters are well established. So if you’re just after smut without building chemistry first, then please keep scrolling. That said, I’m more than okay with other adult themes, such as violence, gore, drugs, alcohol and other topics one would expect from  a 21+ roleplay.
Crime/gang-based roleplay. This idea is very loosely inspired from Peaky Blinders, SoA, The Fast and Furious, Sopranos, Animal Kingdom.
1950′s-style, forbidden romance roleplay: Idea is loosely inspired by Romeo & Juliet, West Side Story, The Outsiders, Grease, Cry Baby
I’m happy to rp on either discord or tumblr.
I Will Write: But I’m open to other fcs that aren’t mentioned

Intermission: The way you look (tonight)
kth x reader / fame!au / masterlist
A little bonus story from Taehyungs perspective in scene 13 when they were in Paris. Originally I wasn’t going to write this, but after listening to Crush by Tessa Violet on repeat I got inspired. Those who’ve read my other works have probably noticed that songs often trigger my writing bug hahah.
Tumblr media
Taehyung is feeling pretty good, fantastic, over the moon. How could he not be? First of all, he’s in Paris. The city he has always adored, ever since he entered the world of art. Second of all, he had spent a wonderful day, with a very wonderful person. A person who was cheeky enough to (successfully) sneak a picture of him. Was he trying to do the same? Maybe. Is he pouting because y/n managed to get a shot of him while he didn’t get any of her? Possibly. He did get plenty of pictures, but none with that smile.
He looks at the Instagram post again. Y/n was a sneaky one, he would admit that. Taehyung let his finger slide down the screen, scrolling past the latest post stopping at the next one, and the next one. There were few pictures of y/n, but many of her friends. Namjoon at the supermarket, bundled up (posted at 2 in the morning?). Jungkook smiling wide, probably because of something the person behind the lens had said. And a lot of Chungha in their (then) shared apartment.
“Taehyung, aren’t you going to get dressed soon?”
Right, that was what he was doing. Getting ready for the banquet. Ever since the museum and finally realizing he had a crush, Taehyung had been a bit distracted. Or, according to everyone else he had always been. Okay maybe he wasn’t just crushing, maybe he was in love. But who wouldn’t be with someone like y/n. After the auditions he had suddenly been curious about this person who had only been in the peripheral of his attention. Hell, reenacting Montgomery’s monologue from Fame with your own experiences required bravery. Leaving yourself that exposed yet distanced from the audience. So, when professor Kim had asked him about the experience exchange, he had jumped on the opportunity immediately.
Now though, painfully aware of his own emotions he tried to take a step back. Was Taehyung head over heels? Most likely. But, that didn’t mean he had to be painfully obvious about it. After all y/n had turned out to be a person who guarded themselves if you got too close for comfort. He could play it cool. He’s majoring in acting after all. Even though it was the entirely opposite of what he wanted to do. Coming on too strong wasn’t what he wanted to do either, so until he got a hold of his emotions Taehyung decided to distance himself a little.
Y/n looked stunning tonight. From his vantage point at the other side of the gigantic aquarium dividing the room he could see her laughing with her friends. Hair tucked behind her ear and eyes shining bright, lips taking sips from a champagne flute. Taehyung suddenly wondered what the fabric of her dress felt like. It looked like silk by the way it was shimmering under the light. Suddenly he felt a blush heating up his cheeks, giving himself a mental whack on the head. “You’re not that close.” He reminded the lovestruck part of his brain. “Stop being weird Taehyung.” He mentally reprimanded. But it would be nice to be over there though. Closer to her.
Sending a text wouldn’t hurt, right? It’s just like a conversation, minus actually standing across the other person, looking into their eyes and the hearing the sound of their voice. He was in deep, wasn’t he? Suddenly he felt the telltale buzz from his pant pocket. As if his mental mooning had somehow summoned her. “You’re rooming with Jimin right?”
This Taehyung could do. This way he didn’t have to stand close and control himself. And typing out what he wanted to say gave him the opportunity to double check the words before he pressed send. Not that he was being subtle, at all. Y/n didn’t seem to notice though, being more open than usual. She had paused a little when she noticed him on the other side of the aquarium though.
“Hey, let’s dance!”
Yeah, this would be the end of him. No way he could say no. He didn’t care if he sounded more intense than usual. Taehyung was a fool in love. Sue him if wanting to express those emotions was wrong.
When they got back, he would really go for it. Wooing y/n was definitely the status quo.

Liist of my wip's! (August 2019)
Hello there! I'm Nicola! I mainly write contemporary YA stuff (mostly read that, too!), that feature all of the lgbt rep I'd like to see but don't :)
The following is a list of my current wip's, along with a quick summary of what they're about! If anything here interests you please don't hesitate to ask about it! I love talking about anything from characters to plot and it helps me build ideas when I'm talking to someone else :)
The History of Great Thing That Have Happened to Great People: Taylor, convinced of his extremely bad luck, isn't expecting to catch the eye of Patrick, who's extremely out of Taylor's league in every way that counts. Taylor is convinced their whirlwind summer romance will be regulated to just that: the summer, because with their insanely different lifestyles, coupled with living on opposite ends of the country, and Patrick's slightly obsessed ex, theirs no way they could make it work long term, right? Right?
One More Minute: Kat signs up for a competition that wins her an hour long skype date with her celebrity crush, Harley. Kat can hardly believe it- clearly this is a sign they were meant to be together. Battling demons of her own while being forced to maintain her public image all at the age of 19, Harley is infatuated with Kat from the first minute they spend talking, but she's reluctant to drag the starry eyed, optimistic girl into her world.
For The Throne: The unprecedented assassination of her brother, Jude, just days before his wedding, leaves Genevieve in the position she never envied him: Atop the most powerful and coveted throne in the world. As her relationship with American journalist Eva Letman comes to light, Genevieve faces opposition from both outside and within the palace, forcing her to question her place as a Monarch and her ability to rule. Jude's widowed wife, Sarah, carrying his alleged unborn son, is the power hungry daughter of the Prime Minister, and she's determined to regain her position in the palace, whatever it takes. As the investigation into Jude's death goes underway, and England is sent into a disarray over Genevieve's reign, old and new secrets begin to reveal themselves, threatening to bring down the entire Monarcy down with them.
Title TBD: Hedley knows vampires exist: they have to. She's spent her entire life learning everything she can about them, and in the depths of her research she found solace from her life in a children's home. As she turns 18 and the system prepares to spit her out onto the streets, Hedley goes to the only place she's ever felt at peace: Hartman's Hallow, rumored to be home to the last existing vampire coven in North America.
Title TBD: Skye Nolan has a plan. He's counting down the days until he can start HRT, while trying to survive living with his father and soon to be step-mom after his mother's career takes her to New Zealand. It probably wouldn't have been so difficult, except he also has to handle having a crush on his long time friend, Caden Montgomery, who Skye isn't willing to risk losing over anything. Skye is convinced that a relationship with Caden is completely out of the question- until suddenly, it's not. Caden returns from music camp with the news that he's broken up with his boyfriend, and his sudden availability pushes him and Skye to testing the boundaries of their frriendship.
Who We Were: Noah Hapstall's plans to enjoy his freshman year of university take a sharp turn for the worst when his ex girlfriend reappears in his life after being gone for over a year. Melanie had previously been nothing more than the embodiment of everything Noah despised, the wounds she left cut deep and not even his current seemingly iddylic relationship could heal them. He swore he would never let her back in, but his parents' divorce and the increasing distance between him and his boyfriend, who's currently studying in another state, leaves him vulnerable to Melanie and her typical manipulation. As Noah unwittingly becomes more involved in her life, he is forced to remove his rose tinted glasses and examine the world as it really is, for all the lies, secrets, and pain it holds.
Who We Want To Be: Sylvie Montgomery has had enough of living in the shadow of her celebrity father, her perfect twin brother, her genius best friend and even prodigy violinist younger sister. She doesn't know who she is without the people around her always overshadowing her, and so she jumps at the opportunity to find out when she's offered an internship far away from home: in the city of love, Paris.
Where We Began: Tessa had her heart broken when her girlfriend of two years broke things off out of the blue. But now Hanna's back, begging for a second chance, and Tessa is unbelievably close to giving in. She never really got over Hanna, and maybe they can make things work again, if only they could get over all the baggage their history brings with it.
Rules of The Road: Five best friends go on a cross country road trip the summer before departing for college. They must navigate the rules of road while discovering things about themselves, and each other, that will either tear them apart for good or make them stronger than ever.
Rules of The Game: High strung student body president Sophie ends up tutoring Oren Black, the school's laid back, fun loving quarterback.
Rules of the Heart: After coming out as gay, Alexa goes to live with her father in Oregon and ends up falling for Harley, who recently got out of an abusive relationship.
Title TBD: Broadway actress Olivia (Liz) Chandler meets Tomi Reign, the socialite daughter of Liz's new director. Sparks fly immediately, and supposed-to-be straight Liz can't deny that she has feelings for Tomi. Tomi herself is intrigued by Liz, who's cheeky and flirty personality is far from Tomi's usual type. But her usual type.... usually leaves her heartbroken and alone. She's more than happy to play along and be Liz's pet project as she explores her sexuality. It's not like she has anything better to do. Except things take a turn when real feelings begin to get involved, and neither of them really knows how to react to it.
All We Have (8 part series): Follows the life of childhood best friends, Aaliyah, Nicky, and Ryan, as they navigate their tumultuous familial, platonic and romantic relationships. Spans over the course of several years, from their early teens to their late 20's.
The Other Life: Penelope Carmichael has lived in the shadow of her best friend Kris Johnson for as long as she can remember. Kris is popular, beautiful, and perfect, and while Penn tries to be happy for Kris' success', she finds it difficult to shake her jealousy. On the eve of their 17th birthday, Penn and Kris get into a car accident, and Penn wakes up several weeks later to find herself in Kris' body, and her own nowhere to be found. As months go by and Penn remains trapped, with the real Kris seemingly gone forever, she slowly allows herself to adapt the life of the girl she always envied. However, Penn quickly begins to realize that Kris' reality may have been far off from the one everyone believed her to have, and that underneath her facade of perfection lies the haunting and tragic truth of a girl Penn realizes she never really knew.
UnSavior (stand-in title): 5 years after saving her world from imminent doom at the age of 16, Lina packs up and transports herself to another dimension: Earth, with the sole purpose of having a normal life where she isn't regarded as a Hero. However, her arrival to Earth has consequences. Lina doesn't realize that her absence from Ethera sparks an uprising amongst the warring nation of Xaida, who lost the Battle 5 years ago. Furious at the way they've been treated since and determined to avenge their fallen, those left of Xaida want to secure a better future for themselves, and they see Lina's absence as their opportunity. As Lina becomes more and more infatuated with her new life on Earth, caught up in the new experiences and friends it brings, a full out war is on the brink of breaking out in Ethera, and her old mentor Azi attempts to seek her out to draw her home to stop it before it has a chance to begin. But Lina has other plans; she still hasn't fully recovered from the scars the Battle left her with, and she doesn't want to leave Earth and the sanctuary she found there. As a revolution stirs up in Ethera, Lina must question everything: her identity, her loyalty to her nation, and the very people who made her who she is.
Title TBD: 4 college students recieve a series of mysterious emails from an anonymous sender, instructing them to commit several atrocious acts over the course of one night (12 hours) or risk having their secrets, each more damning than the last, revealed to the world.

"The Full Monty" show #655
They had the goods! StageWorks Fresno just closed a remarkable production of The Full Monty, David Yazbeck and Terrence McNally’s adaptation of the 1997 film of the same name.  Though it didn’t win any of its ten Tony nominations, the title alone garners interest, curiosity, and excitement as to what a Full Monty is. As demonstrated by the six actors portraying unemployed steel mill workers in Buffalo, the Full Monty is more than just stripping down to the birthday suit for some singles. It’s a mentality, a brotherhood (or sisterhood), a commitment to bearing it all to win what is most precious to the individual, a sense of pride in this case. Director Joel C. Abels helmed the production, one that had as much heart as it did laughter and skin-bearing performers.
Leader of the gang is Jerry Lukowski, an unemployed divorced father who needs quick cash to pay child support to ex, Pam. James Schott delivered an excellent Jerry, complete with stellar vocal turns in Yazbeck’s demanding rock-esque score, specifically in “Scrap,” “Man,” and “Michael Jordan’s Ball.” His smooth, quiet tone did justice to the melancholy “Breeze Off the River,” and was met with comedic delight alongside Jeffrey Lusk and Dominic Grijalva in “Big-Ass Rock.” Mr. Schott balanced the personality of down-on-his-luck dad with being completely dedicated to his son, Nathan’s, welfare. Jeffrey Lusk was an excellent compadre to Mr. Schott’s Jerry, as the heavier-set friend in the bunch, Dave Bukatinsky. Mr. Lusk’s drab demeanor and self-deprecating inflection drew the audience in to absolutely adore the character,  as much as Meg Clarke’s committed, spirited Georgie, Dave’s Wife. Mr. Lusk and Miss Clarke shared an infatuated chemistry all performance long, one that showcased a very real side of marriage, not just the musical dramedy versions that can take little effort to create. Miss Clarke shined in her leadership of “It’s a Woman’s World,” and in the near all-call number, “The Goods.” Miss Clarke’s passionate presence and energy played well off Mr. Lusk and the other ladies in the cast.
Dominic Girjalva’s pitch-perfect tenor voice brought a level of comedic legitimacy to his performance as Malcom, a homebody whose endearing dedication to his mother matched the character’s nerdy persona and complete lack of social awareness. Mr. Grijalva’s ‘ooohs’ and ‘ahhhhs’ in “Big-Ass Rock” prepped the audience well for what was one of the best physicalized performances I have seen on stage this year. Mr. Grijalva led a stirring “You Walk with Me” at the most dramatic point of the plot, and did so with astute composure and a sound vibrato. Aaron Pierce’s performance as Ethan was also a comedic highlight, making him a memorable performer among a cast of excellent actors and actresses. Chris Mangels’ turn as Harold, former boss man of the out-of-work mill workers was a demonstration in how whole-heartedly committing to the mood of each scene can result in an outstanding, fully-developed character. Mr. Mangels’ chemistry opposite Julie Lucido’s flamboyant, loving Vicki Nichols was a carefully crafted, engaging relationship to watch, culminating in one of Mr. Abels’ most poignantly blocked scenes in Act Two leading up to a beautiful “You Rule My World (reprise)” with Vicki and Georgie expressing the love they have for their husbands.
Rounding out the six Buffalo strippers was LaRon Lee Hudson as Horse, an older black man whose fulfillment of a particular stereotype makes him an ideal member of the sextet. Mr. Lee Hudson’s performance of “Big Black Man” is literally a breakout number for the “older” character, dazzling the audience with dance turns and vocal riffs that diversifiy Mr. Yazbeck’s score with a more-groovy, soul-filled tune. Tessa Cavaletto was gifted with one of the best-written roles of the show as veteran of the stage, accompanist Jeanette. Miss Cavaletto delivered every insult, reference, and one-liner with class and gruff timbre, letting it all loose in the Act Two ringer, “Jeanette’s Showbiz Number.”
Reining in all the personalities and talents to fit the dance demands of the musical was Josh Montgomery’s vibrant, dashing choreography. Starting with the sexy Keno strip number to a pulsating “Scrap,” the choreography was executed with excellent precision. Miss Lucido performed Mr. Montgomery’s Latin ballroom-ography in “Life With Harold” with the right amount of flare and passion for her to warrant the show-stopping applause it received on the matinee I attended. Follow that with Mr. Lee Hudson’s fantastic performance of the chicken, jerk, and slew of other “dated” dances in “Big Black Man,” and Act One was all set for “Michael Jordan’s Ball” to finish Act One. The athleticism coupled with numerous formations made for a non-stop finale, tipping its hat to the Broadway company while still incorporating lots of nuanced movement that complemented the six abilities of the six men. Act Two comes and it’s time to “Let it Go,” the culminating number that audience (and probably cast) have anxiously been waiting for. The energy was contagious, and the six men delivered all the goods, vocally and physically, that earned the near-immediate standing ovation post-light cue.
A technically sound production, Mr. Abels left no aspect unchecked. Mr. Mangels did double-duty, as he also built the set with the right amount of visual aid to help the audience know when we were in a new location, while being stripped down enough to allow space for action rather than crowding the cast in the intimate Dan Pessano Theater. Kyle Jensen’s sound design was a job well done of balancing the cast’s more tender singing moments with Dakota Simpson’s gloriously rocking band. Jennifer Malatesta’s lighting design absolutely did the job of illuminating the group numbers and focusing on just the intimacy of the solos and duets.
The Full Monty has moved on, but StageWorks Fresno has plenty more theatre in store for Fresno later this season. By all means, head over to their website or social media outlets and pick out your next date night at theater so you don’t miss it. Go see a show!
