"Know your dimension" interview: 1.What do you want your listeners to know about you? I am @jonas-kvederas ( a.k.a @Johnza) DJ from Vilnius, Lithuania. My connection with music started to develop when I was really young. My music taste varies from progressive house, disco to techno. With every set I am trying to narrate a story. I really love what I do and I hope you will too. 2.What inspired you to start your journey as a music producer /DJ? What was the breakthrough moment for you to pursue music as a career? I remember when my dad gave me lots of CD’s and my first mp3 player. Since then music never left my side, I was very interested in it, so I started to learn how to play with different musical instruments – piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar and etc. My music taste has underwent a lot of different genres and phases, but I have always stuck to electronics. In the middle of 2019 summer, after a lot of music related events, I definitely hit a big crush for techno. This became not just listening to ‘some’ music, this became my lifestyle. 3.Does your stage name (project) have any hidden meaning behind it? My stage name is actually my original name with a twist. It just sounded cool in my head and as I said it out loud. 4.What is your creative process like before recording a mix or producing a track? Which software/hardware are you using? Well, everything starts from a sip of coffee or tea. I am always digging, searching for good fresh hits and underground tracks for my new mix. When I just feel the recording and producing moment, it ignites me to move forward. I am using Rekordbox and Pioneer DJJ-400 and XDJ controllers. 5.Which venue or event has been the most influential to your music career and why? I think 2019 “Ant Bangos” festival was a breakpoint for my DJ career. 6.Most memorable moment while clubbing? There was one private party which ended with police. It was fun. 7.Outside of music, what are some interests you have? / How would you describe yourself as an individual? Well, I am a very versatile individual. Right now I am studying masters of chemistry and trying to put chemistry in my life as well. I am very charismatic, enthusiastic, open-minded, determined and creative.
