Is hearts still related to Diamonds or no?

As in are the royal families related? Technically yes

Kellan’s father was a diamond prince (Jasper diamant) and his direct line is still in charge. Kellan’s aunt (opal xxi)’s family is there as well so the Cors and Diamant are still related to one another. Mahira is third cousin to Lazuli and Rubis through Jasper and Opal xxi

Wait, why was Jade's pregnancy bad agin?

It was bad cause no one knew who the dad was (Jades knew but she wasn’t going to tell her type-A controlling mum who).

Even her daughter (Opal XXII) didn’t know who her father was. Biggest mystery of the century

Diamonds Royal family tree, I think this one is the biggest. It also connects to the hearts family tree, slightly.

God I love making these things. It’s such a niche weird hobby but I fucking love it.

How was queen Jade not very responsible, how did Diamonds manage to survive her reign?

Well 1) it was pretty short. She only ruled for five years before dying in a fire. Her mother had left her a very organised and well put together kingdom so she was relying on her mother’s work so she didn’t really face any consequences from her party life and ignoring her duties. However her daughter, Opal XXII, was left with a not so great situation but she managed to get organised like her grandmother. Jade’s reign ended up just being a little blip and pretty much forgotten about

How would you say prince Jasper's life was?Sometimes i have the feeling that he was not happy

His life is somewhat a tragic one. His mother died when he was born so never knew her. His fathers attention was on his older sister. And Opal wasn’t the kindest big sister in the world. She was very bossy and was always making him do stuff he didn’t really want to do but he just kind of accepted it. When Opal was the King of Diamonds she married him off to the Hearts royals in hopes of getting a treaty and trade deal. For a short while he was relatively happy in hearts until Opal fucked it up. He was stuck in Diamonds again and didn’t get to know his son after Lezabel and Kellan ran away back to Hearts. The war that had started when Opal imprisoned Lezabel lasted for a few years that ultimately lead to his death at just 25 years old.

What can you say about Opal XXI, I became interested in her after your revealed that her mother died early and that her marriage was arranged

Ok here we go!

Opal XXI was the daughter of Opal XX (diamonds really didn’t try to hard their names) and King-Consort Morgan. When she was six her mother died of Preeclampsia when giving birth to Jasper (he is Kellans father and Lezabel’s first spouse). Upon her death Opal XXI automatically became the King of Diamonds however she wasn’t queen and was still just a princess. Her father became regent and pretty much ruled Diamonds until she turned 18. During this time Morgan was really unpopular and so were his family, he worried that soemthing could happen to his daughter once she became queen officially so arranged a marriage between her and the son of the then Ten of Diamonds, the Labelle family (they are now the five of Diamonds). The day after Opal’s coronation she married Cobalt (who was 17).

Opal was actually a really good queen and King of Diamonds. Unlike her predecessors and her successors she was level-headed and didn’t party as much as most diamonds did. She was however a control freak who wanted to know what was happening and she had sign off on everything. While she worked her husband politics with the other nobles convincing them to hand more money over to the royal treasury to fund different things Opal had set up. She opened hundreds of mines all over Diamonds and funded smaller business to make them bigger.

She wanted to make a trade deal with Hearts. Where Diamonds and Clubs were allies and had their treaty Opla also wanted to trade with the other kingdoms to bring in more wealth for diamonds (she was a money hoarder). She couldn’t with Spades since it was busy isolating itself and hissing at anyone who tried to interact with it. And Jokers did their own thing that didn’t work with how the rest of Cards di things. She made a peace deal with Hearts marrying off her little brother to Lezabel. This went well for around three years until Opal’s control freak nature set in and imprisoned Lezabel in Diamonds in hopes that her child would be born a diamond and making Hearts heir a diamond thus making Hearst a satellite state. Didn’t work out like that tho and a war started which ultimately lead to her brothers death.

She had two children with Cobalt, Onyx and Jade. Onyx was easily shaped by his father into being a standard man in Diamonds society (being married off to whoever and being charming and polite) while Jade was much more of a party goer and did whatever she pleased throwing parties at the many estates her family owned. However when Jade was 18 and gave birth to Opal XXII, Opal XXI shut that shit down. She forced more responsibilities on to her daughter keeping her busy and away from the party life. Since they didn’t know who Opal’s father was Cobalt was the one look after his granddaughter while Jade and Opal were busy working or Jade runnning off to wherever to party or schmooze with people. Opal found her inability to control her daughter stressful and infuriating as she had control over everything else in her life.

When Cobalt died from a riding accident Opal became very depressed and just through herself into her work and making sure she had control of everything else in her life. She loved her granddaughter who she saw herself in and gave up on teaching her own daughter how to rule Diamonds properly and focused on teaching Opal XXII instead.

Opla XXI died from a heart attack when she was just 60 years old. Mostly because of her high blood pressure. Jade was the King of Diamonds for five years before her own death when a candle fell and killed her in her room as she slept leaving Opal XXII the next King of Diamonds.

And that’s the life and death of Opal Diamant XXI. WHOOP!
