Tell me your autistic Drew and ADHD May thoughts 👀

DISCLAIMER: it's 11:55 at night and I'm trying to come down from an afternoon dose of Adderall (HI I AM ON THIS SPECTRUM) so I'm not looking at the DSM-V or whatever the book on mental illnesses is, these descriptions may not line up with other peoples lived experiences, etc.

DREW: long sleeves and long pants everywhere = sensory issues, Contests are his special interest and he is kinda sulky when people 'do it wrong', canNOT flirt to save his life ("it's for your BEAUTIFLY"), avoids crowds and is clearly masking when he's confronted by the Contest Moms

MAY: Really physically expressive and loves being active, clumsy (that's apparently a big thing!), can get a little emotionally disregulated, forgets things and loses track of time (late for her first contest)

TOGETHER: he's the brains, the special interest and the calculating studied genius WHILE she's the party face/social butterfly with killer instincts, amazing ability to push through stress and think on her feet. Who What When Where Wynaut really highlights this dynamic!

SHE is the one who befriends the Wynaut (and Roderick) first and overall seems more comfortable than he is about a sudden change in plans ("May's Expedition!"). HE is the one who spouts facts about Liechi berries like they're common knowledge (love that for him tbh) and hangs back when she gets kidnapped by TR just long enough to have a plan to save EVERYONE!

Anyway I just think they're neat :)
