It's the start of harvest season over at our place. We got the last of the Shiro Plums yesterday and I think we ended up with a haul of 90-100 pounds of fruit.

That is the same basket being filled 5 times total, dumping out the fruit into paper bags after.

And look at the prime juicy ones we have already separated out!

And here is a little video of me breaking an unripened one to show how juicy they are anyways, before feeding it to our pup (no waste here!)

(by the way I love this dress, even if I maybe got it caught once or twice in the branches 😅)

We've even already made our first good trade on these things. Swapped 20 pounds of fruit for 25 pounds of freshly butchered pork!

Overall I'm really excited for harvest season at our new place. With 22 fruit trees on property and so many people already interested in trading or even paying for the fruits I'm very excited to make more community connections and stock up for a few months.

Now to just find a recipe for good jam using these things 💙
