He also makes sure to let me know when he needs to have time for himself and also when its time to train his students. And any other lin kuei affairs. He isnt perfect tho. He does have messy days. This is where i help him lighten the load and take over for a short time if needed be to the best of my ability. Or even have him genuinely get some much needed r&r. so i watched cobra kai all in two days and i have so many -

this show has so many cool and smart angles to it, but the same time.... its so stupid oh my god everyone is so dumb literally mr miyagi held all of the braincells in this whole universe 

like i am but at the same time i am not surprised it was made like this, bc in hindsight of course there were hordes of ppl simping over johnny lawrence ....  but it still amuses me that this is like... an Actual Official Thing

how much fun this cast has is super visible and i love it

i rly enjoy how the world was expanded ! i did grow up watching the karate kid movies, so watching how they progressed the world of the movies so organically was pretty cool. it rly feels like its the same universe

i fucking LOVE stories that are largely about a Thing. dancing ,skating, sports its just so thrilling to experience this all consuming relationship people can have with this type of activity? and martial arts are just that much more intense, so yeah, grown ass men kicking each other around at the lightest provocation and a war veteran caring so much abt teen karate is Ridiculous.... but i love it all because thats the intensity i find so thrilling

was kinda surprised with how much im missing mr. miyagi. first because, like everyone is so unhinged jesus christo, it just really throws into relief how much his character grounded the narrative of the movies. but also hes just a really great character

and on that note it rly Gets Me that the show itself aknowledges that and plays that into daniels angst and all the little ways they sorta weave myiagisms into the whole show........ im not getting emotional over this dumb karate dads show OK

they really went down the down and out johnny lawrence route huh. like i was always kinda bummed we see kreese choking him and then we never see him again in the movies, and while i love dumpster fire problematic trash himbo ck johnny, its like......................... actually really sad that his life turned out like this fjngn

everytime i hear ‘babes’ and ‘pussy’ i die a little inside. i know thats the point but i am a v cringe easy person, have mercy (ehe)

loved the way they are constantly drawing parallels between johnny and mr. myiagi of all people. hes the handy man of his building that has a bullied kid asking for help and eventually steps up to teach them karate, beats up a bunch of bullies for him, creates a friendship with said kid, estranged from family, drinks his sorrows away, surprisingly one of the least quick to anger characters (which says more about everyone else really but.... Well.), no schemes or ulterior motives hes just tryna vibe here.... oh and ofc magically heals miguel of is asthma apparently. the true disciple.. meanwhile daniel is his usual messy petty self even tho he wants to be mr myiagi so bad 

also interesting about that is how miguels character is a parallel of both johnny and daniel at the same time

overall the parallels in ck are done really well, drawing comparisons and also subverting them constantly. theyre well thought out

fr tho, the angle being explicitly the cycle of trauma and its effects and how trumatized adults in turn traumatize kids, maliciously or not, is so interesting

but! on the flip side of that, it feels like the writers are getting in their own way @ letting the characters grow. especially this last season. theres only so many times you can do "johnny and daniel are getting along but 5mins later they are (literally) fighting over some dumbass random issue" or "johnny puts in 20% of effort with robby and then gives up" before it gets on your nerves yknow?

i see daniel no longer talks like macchio ingested 15 shots of espresso before every take and idk how to feel about that tbh

interesting tension in daniel, as in, in tkk mr miyagi was there and daniel was frankly, kind of a lil shit, this messy petty spitfire hot tempered sassy kid,(johnny lawrence voice: just... stop being so annoying) but now hes the adult, and he wants to be mr. miyagi... but hes just not, and never will be to his very core and it shakes him and in a way hes trying to find who he is now that he sees himself in a position to be a not! cobra kai figure. i kinda really like that 

plus how that relates to his cobra kai trauma. idk if the writers thought abt it Like That, i think so, but in any case, its interesting bc it seems like daniel has told everyone whod listen about johnny lawrence his Pretty Boy Karate Rival and high school and 84 cobra kai... But. no one seems to know what went on in 85 (or 86? idk) which was just so much worse

like ye og cobras were shitheads, but tkk iii is just two hours of daniel being emotionally and physically tortured. 

like, the third movie is.............chaotic, to put it nicely, and many people ignore it, but the writers clearly didnt. daniels actions are, in a way, responding so much more to the events of tkk iii than to the first movie ie. johnny himself, AND. daniel doesnt rly seem to have dealt with that trauma? he never told sam? doesnt feel like hes ever told amanda? he doesnt even say terrys name out loud? freaks Out over kreese ? the way he reacts to robbys deceit? his FACE when he walks past the new "fear does not exist in this dojo" paint or kreeses photo? hmMm i sense Pain

his fashion tho........... disappointing. where are the flower shirts daniel huh we had one (1) shirt what a tragedy STOP WEARING SUITS ALL THE TIME . also the band ts/grunge bi are a look for johnny but part of me longs for the preppy lovable 80s bully chic johnny lawrence getups

weird that they never used that last moment of karate kid where johnny kinda... snaps out of his anger and hands daniel the trophy almost in tears. like “youre alright larusso, good match” “thanks a lot”  that being their last direct interection seems like itd be perfect fruit for cobra kai but... they just dont. weird. 

especially when, the FIRST SCENE they see each other, suposedly in 30+ years, the first thing to come out of daniels mouth is QUOTE "u still got those golden locks huh?" WHO SAYS SHIT LIKE THAT DANIEL FUCKING SAN 

also amandas immediate reaction "your pretty boy rival?" like. can we talk about the fact that daniel had to have imparted to his wife the very important information that his high school bully/karate rival was like Really Cute and Fucking Hot Actually

 the writers Knew exactly what they were doing and honestly.............. power to them

also I was thinking that daniel sounded strangely fond in that first scene, and i wonder if he developed a weird affection for johnny on the grounds that of all of his Karate Rivals johnny was actually the only one who didn’t actively tried to literally kill him

i was actually delightedly surprised with how great the chemistry between them is, like from the get go i am Invested. their rl friendship totally bleeds through and its fantastic

. granted, idiots enemies to lovers friends is my Thing so i am biased  

johnny lawrence: i am down in the dumps, i fucked up my whole life and my sons probably, largely in light of the trauma that the father figure sensei and the philosophy of my karate inflicted on me and all my friends. u know what i should do, as a traumatized, unreliable mess of an adult? teach that same philosophy to some other kids! what could go wrong! 

but really i enjoy the setup of it. i kinda like that i watched it late because, season 1 was johnny setting himself up for failure in a way and it was exciting to watch it all go to shit sjfn

Like. his heart might be in the right place, but theres just.... not a way to teach something like ‘strike hard, no mercy’ and not have it fuck up a kid 

case and point: aisha, miguel and hawk become annoying as all hell over that bullshit in the end of s1, even before shit gets truly fucked up

billys subtle panicked eyes when he sees hawk and miguel fighting dirty in the all valley was SO GOOD especially in parallel with the panic that is so visible in his face in the movie when kreese tells bobby to injure daniel and in the sweep the leg scene 

seen people question wether kreese should have returned and i absolutely think he needed to. johnny needed to realize that cobra kais fundamentals are flawed, at the root, beyond kreese himself being a toxic piece of shit 

also who are we kidding? we are here to see the tkk characters play on new playgrounds!

i get what they're doing abt kreeses backstory, ( also. cobra kai. pq eles caem nas cobras djjs sorry) but did it need to take up that much time? feels like they couldve  done it in half the run time and developed some other stories better

love that we get a good follow up to kreese breaks johnnys trophy and tries to CHOKE HIM in the parking lot, which happened in the movie and then....................... was never mentioned again

the new characters! theyre .... good. but. idk. i really like miguel (save for the annoying phase mid s1 - end s2) and amanda, who is a damn riot and has some functioning braincells, but everyone else is       

like dont get me wrong, i dont hate anyone,its not a jane and rafael from jtv situation,  and i am interested and invested in their arcs, but i wouldnt say i like   Like them, as in, personality wise 

like, sams grappling with ptsd was rly gutting and i enjoyed that plus her slight rage issues, 

which nicely parallel torys rage issues. torys background is all over the place tho so im pretty on the fence abt her so far

robby deserves better in every way, and i like how smart and cunning and surprisingly sweet he is

 carmen is sweet but. i just feel like her character is blunted to make the johnny relationship easier. like when shes furious with him after miguels injury but then forgives him like an episode later? and then convinces him to fight for the tournament bc she had a karate epiphany off screen even tho she was always against it? meh. feels like with the plot thiccening she was swallowed and now shes like a crutch for johnny mora than anything, which is disappointing.

aisha was cool and im kinda mad she wasnt in s3, especially bc a storyline with her tory and sam was like RIGHT THERE , but also... cant say i was super super fond of her... doesnt feel like we ever spent enough time on her

overall its a good cast but the main draw for me remains the og cast 

the tory/sam miguel/robby Thing. enjoy how theyre Narrative Foils and i like how their stories were so dramatically entangled but oh god give me a break with the teenage love square for the love of god. if u gonna put us through that at least have the decency to not make it so straight

and honestly some sam/tory        miguel/robby romantic tension would even make more sense. just saying! 

also im not sure how i feel abt the cobra kai: red miyagi do: blue theyre going with since some of daniels most iconic looks in tkk are also red. like it was a color they (johnny and him) sorta shared. i get it, opposite but complementary but idk... a little too fire nation and water tribe for me .

 and like the cobra kai kids are so funny abt it bc their outifts grow progressively more ridiculously coordinated. its like do they group chat every morning before leaving their houses? 

robby still sticks out like that tho. he went thru an athleisure/daniel san tsleeves phase and now hes back in the bandts grunge, but his color scheme doesnt fully blend with the other cobra kais. hmmmm.

LOVED LOVED LOVED both the okinawa episode and the cobra kais easy rider episode just such good good heart aching fun

bobby is an icon. he was in tkk and he is now ck hope appears more and more

 tommy is like the most iconic background character. all his lines, freaking gold then and now. sigh :( 

the framing in the okinawa trip was so good everything was so good

i stand by the fact that kumiko was the love interest daniel had the most chemistry with and shes is overall such a joy to watch, loved to see her again, idola, fashion icon

also really enjoyed chozens role in the episode, his evolution; i love that they introduced the pressure points (ty lee the blueprint) and! the honk + karate! cousins! absolutely iconic

when kumiko reads mr miyagis letters........ oh my god, my eyes FILLED with tears, it was so heart wrenching :(( tamlyns delivery was so emotional and lovely and its so obvious everyone involved in ck has so much love and respect for pat morita and mr miyagi as character, and i adore that it exists like this electric current through the show

when we were watching i told my sister i thought that ali would be miguels big shot surgeon and ngl i am so disappointed that didnt happen. hire me cobra kai writers

final thoughts! there are def things i hope the writers will improve on the next season, but i am very excited for it either way AND i feel like it has made me enjoy the movies even more and that is a win for a reboot/sequel to me!!

so quick history lesson because i feel like context is kinda necessary to parsing through this, especially since idk who you are, if you know tales of symphonia: martel was engaged towards the end of her life to a half-elven companion, yuan ka-fai, who’d travelled along with her and her brother but she passed away before they’d ever have an opportunity to marry. in her wake, mithos, kratos, and yuan couldn’t cope with her death and instead of accepting her death they keep her soul in stasis in a magic space-tree seed and spend 4000 years 1) literally breaking the world to keep her soul alive 2) building a system of oppression and genocide to feed their various alt plans, 3) create a religious system using her name, make her a fake goddess, and set a practice of human sacrifice to generate body offerings as a resurrection strategy for putting martel’s soul back in her body. her brother, fiance, and best friend are all caught up in their grief of martel (for 4000 years) to the point of enabling each other in this shit show. meanwhile martel is watching this the entire time. 

so thats what martel came into isola with!! memories of a love that was really real and true and beautiful, but after 4000 years of grief really sorta turned into something she couldn’t recognize as love anymore from him. like, he eventually stood up and tried to do something about the situation and try to come to terms with her death... and she appreciates that.

ok so what happened in isola: this all happened in 2018... so some details are fuzzy. as seen above, yuan’s got a lot of trauma regarding martel, and martel isn’t very good with acknowledging her own trauma... so things just sorta got messy. i remember martel found a letter he’d wrote to her (like... in her memory) where he had said something about loving her forever and that broke her? because considering how his love had manifested for 4000 years after her death, she could see that as real and that in the moment really sparked deep trauma in her. she’s had 4000+ years of loving yuan but at this point even she had to step back from her own feelings and consider if he could even love her anymore, or if this obsession was too great. in either case she didn’t feel like she was alive to him even tho she was forced to be alive here in spirale. she knew he had a lot of trauma and emotional issues gong on, but she didn’t know if she could help, or if her being alive in front of him would keep him from improving. it was really heartbreaking for her as someone who loves him so much. i remember she cried a lot. 

so martel dumped yuan because she didn’t know what to do, honestly. she sorta fell back on the idea that he can’t love her as he once had, that she’s just a source of pain and this is a wound she can’t help heal, and she ran away from the situation by telling him that he’ll find someone new, a new love, that he will some day cherish and by doing that maybe she’ll die enough for his mind and he can actually grieve? oof, it was a lot. she didn’t want to break up with him. that was never premeditated or even anything she wanted. in the moment, it was all just so scary. it was all highly impulsive for martel and she honestly took months after to become functional again because it was so intense and many times she considered going back on what she had done. anyways, now its 2021! i think she would struggle to talk about her breakup or anything about their love from 4000 years ago still without getting upset. he was her first love and she’ll always love him. but she has accepted their breakup, and hopes he gives someone the love they deserve and that he receives so much love in return.

i think she put her old engagement ring on a necklace in her bedroom somewhere??

-"i admire your allergy to pleasantries" bess and nancy both have reveals to big families but nancy does not have the graceful, accepting reveal to her rich family like bess does at this lunch. nancys reveal is messy, cold, bloodstained and sticky-fingered, not nice in any way whatsoever. and this little chat with everett (bit of a parallel to lucy's) just highlights how nancy is always bad at bargaining with her grandparents*- always trying to fight on their level but giving up her equal hand bc she doesnt know how to hide it when they bring up something she doesnt know. like confronting celia at the masque: she was so confident with her theory and what she knew, but then we got a "what does that mean?" like. the instant you say that, you lose. and she walked right into the "yes i do have someone, hes in jail" 🤦���‍♀️ even in the car with ryan at the end of s1, he literally just fucking leaves her there. like 🤷🏼‍♀️ what did u think was gonna happen sis?? for all she can predict how past things lead to present circumstances shes fucking awful at seeing the direct future *(grandparents except for patrice bc her dementia makes her inaccessable)

-that bess/lisbeth look while lisbeth does something badass (+diana reassessing now that lisbeth has been revealed to be useful)

-"almost as fun as a real fight" why do i believe him? lmaoooo a bit weird that he would enjoy a fight w a partner, but i also think this is an acknowledgement of nancy being an "opponent" who exists at his level. but i also love the "let me take you out" as a direct mirror of her relationship with nick, where she avoids the public acknowledgment/"going out" but prefers the more subtle/hidden arrangements of staying in. but as shown with later eps, owen is way more capable of meeting nancy where shes at, which is so important to her + the only way of getting close to nancy. (the only foil is ace who somehow is able to do both)

-"not always about a guy" <---- this could have been such a powerful statement if the show had thought having nancy end up alone/choose herself instead of pitting her between love interests (nick, owen, gil, even potentially ace, in only 2 seasons) was a more worthy stance to take ; as an aro/ace person i cant tell you how much i would kill to see just one female protag choose herself over a man. and its more realistic to end up alone than have a happy ending anyway, for all that these shows try to be as "real" and gritty grimdark as possible

-"is that what you want?" this is an interesting question to his mother- like maybe he senses her unhappiness? combined with his issues with his father- still trying to look out for his mom? either way it's sweet. (it could also potentially work as foreshadowing of something happening to her, but i think that was played with but then diverted when it was revealed who really killed her) "i think its time i steer this ship" still kind of patriarchal tho. i get that its him coming into his own as a dad technically but still. i also like how he calls her "mother" and not mom

-parent politics: "you are taking your life in your hands / no, i'm putting it in yours" vs "i know well enough not to get involved when hes in play" both carson and ryan try to dissuade nancy from pursuing her pulling this con on everett but go about it different ways: carson is wildly concerned with nancys physical wellbeing but ryan appears to be leaning more towards weighing the odds for her/ like a "you cant win so cut your losses/dont try" scenario which interestingly might have more weight with nancy; its easy for her to brush aside carson's worrying like second nature but nancy has been established to be a determined winner, and ryan speaks to her here like shes a beginners luck prodigy at a blackjack table by encouraging her to keep her record clean by not dealing in this next round. of course she herself admits shes incapable of not dealing in ie "you know me better than that" but i have lots more thoughts on how effective ryans approaches to nancy can be sometimes (saving for the reveal ep 🙏🏻)

-wonder what all carson knows about the hudsons? + that look on his face when he hangs up... wonder if he was just lying to her about knowing anything or just ashamed at having to admit bad things hes done for them

Fantastic ending to a very good book its, definitely a different energy from the third but I'm really enjoying this I'm still excited as hell!!! I got worried things would get kinda bad from here but nope!!!! Very fun stuff for now this is very very good and I am enjoying it

This is definitely one of the most fun arcs I've read so far!!! The drama the stakes the little moments everything is tying together really well into a very fun story I'm enjoying a lot!

I worry for Twigpaw and hope for her happiness, and Violetshine too, hope her and Hawkwing deal well with missing her. Tree is being interesting. Alderheart wasn't much of a focus here but always fun to see him trying to solve the damn prophecy no leaders seem to care about. Mousewhisker was okay??? Lots of very fantastic turns for all events and uh let's see where this all goes next!!!

answer: thank you omg! poor emory really thought - and had every reason to think - that they were over. it was such a heavy thing, one that couldn’t be taken back, you know? and he couldn’t do anything but break down into sobs when lux was able to talk to him and forgive him.

answer: that’s my favorite line too!! the pain of being understood and treated with empathy when he felt he didn’t deserve it. emory flinching was a detail i loved putting in. and you’re still allowed to hope for more flinchy lux around emory, but with this particular arc, i think it’s better not to write lux getting flinchy! i’d feel much more comfortable seeing lux feel relatively safe and in control of his reactions.

answer: i agree. it felt realistic and important to show. they love each other, but they’re not perfect, and things can get messy and unhealthy and scary sometimes. they’ll be okay, though! they respect each other and love each other very much.

interesting that they focused on junhao for everybody. can understand he probably has the most different and struggle experience so probably more interesting for dramas sake lol im surprised they dont spend more time on shengen, considering his popularity.

LOL thats the level of tyger + kou cong + shengen, i can imagine the struggle of the yang guang nan hai group in comparison AHAHA i just imagine him running down the hall freaking out like HOW DID THEY LEARN THE DANCE IN JUST ONE CLASS WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE 

lollll “theyre all dachang boys” “theyre all zhang yixing’s students” HAHAHAH you know even though he is slightly struggling compared to the rest, he aint bad and theyre all taking it light hearted with laughter so seems like a good learning environment! and he’s confident he’ll get it LOL thats good! i think thats what makes him so amusing

wow the lyrics are so fitting for lin mo to scream LOL but also ay his vocals?! aw im glad they put in a little rap for shengen and akey! honestly was kinda hoping for more bc they havent had a proper stage together before and i feel like itd be awesome but also junhao and zhan yu vocalization at the end was on point!!

lol all the kids being like zhang pd’s words are so detailed and professional... sigh theyve been missing out until now 

im glad they really pointed out how each member of this team did well! they really all did a great job with each of their parts, and they each got a little part to shine, and when put together, it was a complete performance. im proud of them and happy for them!

aw.... i feel like we’ve been waiting so long to hear lin mo get complimented.... i feel like it’s been since qcyn namanana that we’ve been waiting for him to redeem himself and climb back up to the peak. ugh its been nearly a year and a half. im just so terrified of whats gonna happen next bc im way too skeptical at this point to expect this high to continue, esp with what happened after namanana last time......... but for now, im happy. relieved hes finally getting the recognition he deserves and im happy that hes happy. lol i was also half scared we were gonna get spirit of the knight-ed again with his pink hair (nightmare flashbacks to lin mo and changxi’s deletion from that perf) i dont think ill ever get over that :( i feel like as a lin mo stan, ive been trained to not keep my hopes up and to prepare for the worst bc hes the type of person who just always gets the short end of the stick, it feels like. 

aw the part when they go back to the waiting room and jin fan is waiting for them with an encouraging smile and the whole exchange of "帥的真的帥的" "哇~可以吧" "我沒想到" "那必須的" our leader did them proud :’) 

ugh the part where luo jie calls them and tells them he can’t come back........ heart breaking. i can see why lin ran and xikan would be really affected. lin ran has been luo jie’s go-to since he left and knowing how their usual friendship involves making fun of one another and jokingly complaining about each other, it hits hard when lin ran says he cried his eyes out. it hurts that they didnt get to share the stage again before he left. xikan may not have shared the stage with luo jie during ip, but hes known him since then and has been with him through both rounds here. it interesting bc i feel like the namanana perf was very light hearted on qcyn but i cant see that happening here, esp with their outfits? 

aw shiwei and chaowen taking charge to raise their spirits :’) 

lin ran’s voice fits so well with this song wow! i really like his lines! also lol i didnt know xikan would have abs but okay and tbh im always hesitant about dances with props bc it always is so easy to look messy..... like every slight difference in angle in the way you hold your arms is immediately magnified 

and like sxl’s fan is obviously broken and having performed fan dances myself i know that that’s like the most annoying thing to happen on stage, and can be really difficult to deal with, even tho it happens ALL THE TIME with those types of fans ugh :( 

i mean its super kind of them to leave luo jie’s space empty for him, but its kinda weird to have parts of the audio missing sadly :( and also chaowen’s voice did something weird in the middle there, like its sounds weirdly weak 

wait didnt yixing tell them to close the fan? but they didnt? 

xikan’s facial expressions are perfecttt, good for him! wish they gave more screen time to shiwei during shiwei’s lines lol... but also i cant help but hear lin mo’s voice during that part LOL ugh speaking of which i miss that team dynamic namanana team a on qcyn HAHAHAH hwx being a brat and fjj running around wild and lin mo giving up on them all just laughing like idiots for hours on end while bo yuan just judges them from a corner LOL i love the beginning of the wenxuan and lin mo friendship good times :’)

So I just saw the new star wars movie and honestly? I’m disappointed. They had a good concept but why were they so horrible at executing it. So I am going to give all my opinions/rants whether you like it or not.

1. Plot. Did they know that Rey was gonna be Palpatine’s granddaughter or did they just decide that in the last movie? It feels like there was no hint of the presence of Palpatine in the other two but they decided to put him in now and sprinkle in how he could of possibly be seen in the previous movies.

2. Rey*lo. Unnecessary. I never liked movies where a woman falls in love with their abuser. I am fine with Kylo Ren but I feel like he was a horrible love interest for Rey. It was literally so forced at the end. Why couldn’t they just have a close bond that was fake forged by Snoke/Palpatine. I never liked this ship from the beginning and if they wanted me to like it they should have made it differently.

3. Queer baiting. We all know that Finnpoe would have been a great end goal for both the LGBTQ+ community and for Disney but since it was so “controversial” they did not do it. All the gave us was a 2 second kiss between two girls at the end and called themselves allies. Oscar Isaac tried to fight for us but in the end Disney had a stick too far up their a** to give us a main gay couple.

4. Kylo Ren. They literally did that to him didn’t they? He could have been a great villain with a great redemption arc but they literally made him sad, confused emo boy. He had such an opportunity to be my favorite star wars villain or even my favorite villain of all time but no. they didn’t. Disney used poor writing and poor character development and massacred my boy.

5. Rey. I love a female lead and I love the acting but the actual character. She felt so unimportant throughout the whole movie and was just used to push the plot. She easily could have been an amazing heroine but no. She was used for plot and then also a stupid romance. She came out as a messy, strong, and impressionable woman who little girls will look up to hopefully for her strength, not for her intelligence. I feel like if they took her out completely they still could have easily found a way to make the plot exactly the same.

6. Leia. They really had to nerf her with old age huh? and then on top of that kill her for plot so Kylo will realize that he is Ben Solo and become a good guy... oof. I did cry tho, Poor Chewie has been through too much.

7. Plot, Part two. Ok but why was the plot written so poorly for the whole series. It had an amazing concept but the outcome? Horrible writing and awkward encounters. I can’t even explain how much I hate it. The characters were so poorly developed and there was a lot of unnecessary stuff thrown in.

8. Zorii. Why did she need to be a love interest. Was that just so Disney could try to convince us that Poe is straight. Well jokes on them Zorii figured out she was a lesbian and it is a joke between her and Poe to act straight. I am so upset with Disney for this.

9. Finn. Finn is a beautiful poc and John Boyega is an amazing actor. However, they tried to throw at least 3 love interests at him and hoped one of them stuck. Rey? maybe. Rose? oh yeah they forgot about that plot line. Jannah? you know why not. I was especially upset at the thought of him ending up with Jannah. I love her with all my heart but with her as a love interest I feel like thats just putting them together because of skin color.

10. Hux. I loved this boy, but they did him so bad killing him. He could have been a hugely important character if they had let him come with the rebels but no. They made him a spy because he hates Kylo. Guess they had to destroy that ship too huh?

11. Deaths. I love Rey but honestly? I felt they should have left her dead. Now here me out. It would have been very powerful for her to have died there and then give Ben Solo some love and development. She could have died and a new era would be upon the rebels. They would build a new universe and help Ben find peace. Rey would join Luke and Leia and the rest of the Jedis and watch over the Rebellion as it grows. Instead, they let our beautiful female protagonist kiss her abuser/savior and then have him immediately die. This was honestly so rude and disappointing. I know that having a lead character die is tragic but I feel like that is what made be like Rogue One a lot. They showed us that not every ending is happy and perfectly wrapped up.

12. I feel like I can forgive this movie for a lot of things but the two previous movies just left a twisted plot line that was impossible to fix. Disney just made this series to make more money and tried to represent people but did horribly. I had high hopes for this series but it was crushed.

13. I am not a writer but given this plot line I feel like I could have done the Star Wars universe more justice by physically taking the reins myself and writing a better series.

14. Palpatine can F*ck. No more needs to be said.

Disclaimer: I love all the actors of these movies and I am not bashing the animators and filmmakers. I am just upset at how these movies played out because they could have been amazing, but they were not.

big dilemma land approaches

i love aesthetics, and i think in some way i can get behind almost every aesthetic

kidcore? i fuck with those colors, and it feels nostalgic

vaporwave? nostalgia again?? also so pretty, like a dream

forest cabin? fuck yes very cozy i love nature

like anything, i love it

but you cant demonstrate all of those in your art, you gotta pick one or 2 and stick with em (or at least i cant, without it being messy af)

my problem is that i have 2 main general aesthetics, and thats fine if i wanna incorporate them into my art, except

they couldnt be farther from each other, like im talking polar opposites

one of them is vaporwave retro arcade blacklight coins n space

and the other is very mute subtle colors, dull shades, forests n deer and bones and mushrooms-

i cant for the life of me figure a way to make them both work. it looks so bad when i post my cool edgy blacklight characters, and then post my dull foresty flower characters. they dont go together at all

all i want in life is like.. harmony and being able to have an identity, yknow, but its hard to do that when one day i want to cry and listen to music in an empty (but functioning and very much activated) arcade for hours, and the only light being the neon signs and blacklights, and the next i want to sit alone in a forest by the shrooms and birdwatch with the deer while i doodle sketches of fauns and unicorns.
