Oof. This has been stewing in my inbox for awhile, sorry for that lol. But it's because my indecisive ass could not pick a destination for their first vacation lmaooo

Officially, their first vacation together was London, UK.

They officially got together, and M became the leader for DT and Ethan became Chief soon after. They were definitely busy and needed time adjusting for quite some time. However, during the Conference and See You Soon fic, Ethan asked Marchia to come to London, which became the first place that they went on vacation together!

They stayed around a week there, exploring the city and also exploring one another in their hotel room lol. It was certainly a fun and relaxing trip, no fixed itinerary, and they visited cheesy tourist places (courtesy of Marchia lol).

Hmmm, this kinda inspired me to make a short social media edits for their trip there... Are you interested in that kind of thing, Anon? Let me know! I haven't done those in awhile and I think it would be fun.

5x18 point of no return: the way cas slams dean into a wall and says: ‘i rebelled for this??’ oof

6x20 the man who would be king: a classic, literally cannot exlude this one, it just slaps all around.

8x07 a little slice of kevin: i cannot stress enough how much i love purgatory arch. it is just  SO well done, and it all cumilates in this ep. i love benny, i love the first hug between dean and cas, and i truly believe that purgatory changed their bond for the better. 

9x06 heaven can’t wait: the main reason i love this ep is for the fact that they had dean stare longingly at cas through the window... but also the fan fic gap, of course.

11x04 baby: if you ever told me i would love an episode told through the perspective of the damn car, i would have laughed at you, but it is done so well. i am a big fan of experimental television, and this is just perfect.

12x09 the future: the mixtape my beloved...... need i say more?

13x01 - 13x06 sorry but the widower arc has to be viewed as a whole i literally can’t seperate those episodes and i love it because it’s hella angsty but in a good way. dean has FEELINGS!!! and it’s SAD!!! until it’s NOT ANYMORE!! because he gets cas back oh oh my heart.

i honestly love all of s15 but if i had to choose my fave it would be 15x09 the trap. the prayer scene in purgatory is probably the most i have cried during this show ever. idk what about it got to me but i do know i blame jensen because he is a powerhouse of an actor.

Hello!! Just wanted to say I just re read Heard Your Heart Beating for like... The fifth time, probably?? And now that I know ur tumblr, I just wanted to say. Its probably one of my fav Klapollo fics. I LOVE your characterization in it. Especially Apollo's, in which he gets flustered and provoked quite easily but he can also get super sassy and bitchy lmao. And I love his and Klavier's friendship? It makes me so happy to see fics where their pre-relationship is explored. I love seeing romantic interactions but it's also SUPER nice to see them just being... Platonic and hanging out together and supporting each other and being friends!! I mean relationships are founded upon friendships so it's really cute to read about them before they get all romantic too. I loved reading about their Valentine's Day hangout at Apollo's house. It's just... So chill. Even though you touched on the big Kristoph issue, it is also lighthearted at times. It was really nice to see Kristoph being addressed but it not being the whole point of their 'date'. And their banter...... Omg.... Especially Klavier's highkey flirting LMAOOO ITS SO FUNNY TO READDD!!! And Trucy omg.... I love the inclusion of her because of course she needs to be included. Love her. Anyways thank you so much for writing it!!! I don't want to, like, unknowingly pressure you into continuing or anything though!!! I just wanted to share my thoughts! I know how hard it can get continuing a fic when you have real life obligations lol. Anyways I will be suppperr happy if you do but even if you don't! Anon, I am just dead from this comment.  When I read this, I wanted to cry because I am just so touched and humbled.

“Heard Your Heart Beating” has such a special place in my heart and I am sorry that it takes me 5ever to write in general that the updates to it are slow. Never did I think that a story I came up with nearly seven years ago (lsdkfmslkfdm) would take me this long to write but also I like taking my time with it, as I’ve never ever written a slow-burn fic.

I love Klapollo so much, and I just want to do them justice (haha), because there is so much there between them as characters.  They’re two characters bound by tragic events but, they’re both forthright individuals who have a lot of external factors (good and bad) impacting their relationship.

AA5 was such a great game and full of emotion, but there was a lot to read in between the lines-  Apollo had suffered a personal tragedy in losing Clay, and his introduction as an attorney had been fraught with betrayal and a lot of fighting against the odds, then he nearly has to accuse Athena for Clay’s murder...and it was just a lot for him.  

As for Klavier, the year prior had left him with the truth that he’d been used and betrayed by his brother and his best friend...and then as he’s picking the pieces of his life together, transitioning from the rocker life that was his way of life/protection from Kristoph for 7 years, his mentor is murdered.  Klavier is a genius prosecutor, he most likely advanced early through Themis, changed his career path, graduated, got his badge, and then his debut is just a mess.  Apollo brought him back to the courts but Klavier, it seemed at least to me in DD, was still trying to figure out where he fit in.  

Constance Court’s impact on Klavier is a big part of Heard Your Heart Beating and will be explored in later chapters.

But yeah I liked the idea of these two coming together organically- they’re both highly empathetic people, so there is common ground there.  Klavier knows that Apollo has seen the Kristoph that Klavier once knew and admired. It’s easy to paint Kristoph as a monster, but when you look at how Apollo and Klavier speak of him (before the murders obvs) you can tell that all they both wanted was to make Kristoph proud.  And I also wanted to explore those human moments with Kristoph too.  Yes, he’s an asshole- but he was someone that Apollo and Klavier looked up to.  So that betrayal and grief is something they can both share, and while Daryan is still alive, Klavier’s friendship with him died metaphorically. But the hurt and pain of not having that friendship, not having that person you love platonically in your life for the rest of your life- is a death unto itself not unlike Apollo’s pain and grief over losing Clay. 

They strike me as two people who are just looking for safety, and they both recognize (Klavier more quickly than Apollo, although I feel it’s subconscious on Apollo’s part) that they can have that safety with each other.   This theme is reflected in the title.  It’s from the song “Cosmic Love” by Florence + The Machine.

“Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too So I stayed in the darkness with you “

When I heard this song while writing the opening drafts of this story, I felt that this song summed up Apollo and Klavier in this story-  they’re both in personal darkness that no one else seems to understand, but when they recognize that the other is in that same darkness- they reach out, even if it means remaining in that grief and sadness, there is comfort in knowing that you’re understood and not alone.

Oof that was a tangent hahaha.

The Valentine’s Day scene was one of my favorite scenes to write. It comes from such a personal moment between the comfort I’ve found with my own friends during a time where I was trying to get my footing in life.  Also, not to side note again, but this fic is actually pretty personal- I’ve never really put my own personal experiences or feelings into a story to the extent that I have in this fic. The opening chapter was written during a time when I thought I was losing my best friend- I had commiserated a lot with Apollo while playing DD- I cried while writing it and I still cry when I read it because it is so intrinsically tied to that time of grief and a feeling that the universe was taking my friend away from me.

So the Valentine’s Day scene was meant to be a scene of comfort and banter- two friends, just hanging out together rather than being alone on “Singles Awareness Day”.  I love that everyone had an expectation of where I was going with that scene.  Especially when alcohol was introduced and then it ended up with them being in Apollo’s bed XD.  It amuses me that their first time ever sharing a bed together would be under the most platonic of circumstances XD.

Anyway, thank you so much anon for the lovely comment- it definitely made my day and made me look over my drafts for this story :)  Maybe an update will come soon!

I lowkey forgot he was meant to enlist so when the news came out I went through so many emotions. Its why the latest comeback feels a bit bittersweet to me. It is their BEST for sure and for this year, I agree so to not see him perform right before he left is a bit sad. I don't blame him of course (if anyone does i am fish slapping you) but just a shame. I'm happy we do get content with him still? Seems pre-planned so that is nice!

Onto legends exo, fantastic comeback. I cannot stop listening to the album, its just bops full of bops to me. They broke so many records and I'm over here sipping my tea because fudge yes. It isn't a full member comeback, 2 of the members featured in the comeback are off playing call of duty and they still did THAT. While having lay properly in the comeback!? (Or at least some form, better than tempo era!) Kyungsoo my beloved, the man that can swoon you off your feet, his proper solo album. Omg I am just in love? The album feels like a Playlist that you hear while taking a walk or on a raodtrip? I love it, I just love everything about this with how much thought was given. It makes me feel warm and I'm so proud of him (I think he even got a first win) but sadly xiumin got the it shall not be named virus D: I feel so bad and I can only hope he gets better! It makes me worried because I keep seeing more and more idols getting sick and I can't help but wonder why don't the kpop entertainment just put a pause with stuff? Of course that is VERY unrealistic, I am aware that is naive for me to think but its just so idk how to word it properly (my English brain is not working I am sorry) I cannot help the feeling of while I get people are being safe and yes we need to still live like normal beings, is it worth risking idols health just for some entertainment? Onto svt! That is perfectly fine to not vibe with a comeback! I will admit, I didn't fully vibe with this comeback and it shocked me because every comeback was a hit to me. Even fear, left and right or homerun where I know many fans were split on, I liked but RTL was a grower. For me, listening to it without watching the mv, helped it alot and it is a song I like. Is it their best? No I don't think so but it is alright to say "hey I didn't bop to this, not my cup of tea" (imo I blame the mv? The mv REALLY didn't do the song justice at all, I am sorry if I sound like a fake fan but this mv Just is bad in all aspects. Sure we have some pretty shots but like it just doesn't fit at all?) So if anything listening to the song or wishing the live performances does it better. Seeing the choreography amps the song up more, cannot go wrong with their dancing. As for the rest of the songs, I admit game boy is my top favorite? Idk if it is because I am a gaming nerd and found all the production of the song so creative but yeah. Yeah I totally get you it felt empty without him this comeback and at first it didn't really clicked with me but when the enlistment news came out i understood he had to take care of his health and thoroughly check on his eye sight in order to be 100% ready for the military so it made sense he had to be absent :( everything was so close (the comeback and enlistment) that I'm sure there was no other way for doing it I'm pretty sure he couldn't maybe postpone the enlistment day any further

(From 2010 forward) Since she’s doing Monte Cristo for its 10th Anniversary, please, please check out her “When the World Was Mine” and “All This Time.” The performances I linked are things that I just keep coming back to and it’s amazing!! A friend of mine was able to go see this year’s Monte Cristo run and her “All This Time” performance was just so so incredible, like a complete full body experience.

Like keep in mind that a lot of people still regard her as an idol and an ingenue type cast, so when she did Elisabeth people were starting to pay attention. Elisabeth as a role means a lot to her and she has kind of become Korea’s Elisabeth having represented Korea for the 25th anniversary against Elisabeth’s of the world. 2013 was the real game changer in terms of her career. Rebecca literally shot past the moon, did yall know she was meant to be cast as Ich??? As Ich???? But the CEO of Emk personally was like I want to see her as Mrs Danvers, and honestly I owe my life to that CEO. Having personally gone and seen her live earlier this year HOLY SHIT actually HOLY SHIT because no audio or video really can ever capture the absolute incredible feeling to be in that theater hearing her sing and act. Added bonus is that she thinks Danny is a lesbian so Ock!Danny stans really won LMAO She also did Wicked in the same year and honestly we just kept winning. Her “No Good Deed” is the best hands down don’t @ me @ god

She kept doing Wicked until 2014 then did Marie Antoinette, and as far as she nails all of the angst parts in act 2, I think I’d rather have seen her as the rival protagonist, Margrid. Joo Hyun is deff more of a belter than a soprano but she can do both.

2016 was the most busiest time of year for her. She had her Vokal Concert, which are all crazy, she doesn’t the craziest shit during them and it’s like,,,,, why am I still here and then I see the dumb shit she does and I’m oh, oh yeah LMAO And she also had Sweeney Todd and Mata Hari, both are some of my top favourites from her. Hands down her Mrs Lovett?? Unbeatable, I’m sorry but her interpretation is so energised and layered?? I didn’t expect that she would add this kind of melancholic undertone to her character but she did and it really worked. My personal fav song she does is “By The Sea” which sounds weird because it’s not a hit Lovett song but when you see it you’ll know. Mata Hari was her first original Korean musical role and legit Wildhorn, the composer, was like I really like this woman so much I’m going to write this whole score specifically so she can sing it and I SCREAM like same honestly skljfkjgfdhg I couldn’t find a good audio quality of her singing it live but this is from her 2016 live album

2017 brought me Bridges of Madison County and I have been begging and begging for her to come back to it. Madison County also just held a really special place in my heart well before she even came into the picture, the score is just amazing. And this role I think is where her soprano skills really shine, like she deff does it for other roles, but she is full soprano the entire show and it’s just soooo so good yall. Here’s her performing “Before and After you/A Second and A Million Miles.”

2018 was her 20th anniversary debut in the entertainment industry and she held another Vokal concert. As I said before she does some really crazy shit and was not surprised when she hit the fan in the best way LIKE kjsdfkgljdflkj she was doing the most in her concert and it was great LMAO I’ve seen a lot of other musical actor’s concerts and most of them are very lowkey, sitting on a stool and singing or moving around a bit but she’s out here doing full choreography and belting her face of it’s real fun! As for her roles, she premiered Anna Karenina in Korea and let me just say even though Anna Karenina as a musical kinda really sucks ass it really rests so heavily on the actors to make to run well and Joo Hyun has never let me down. I tend to usually favour the second act and OH MY GOD she does it perfectly, like I swear angst and crying is Joo Hyun’s super power. Her “Lullaby” and “Anya Oblonskya” and the part from “I’m Losing You” to the very end of the show is absolute goosebumps. Like the way she goes through Anna’s mental breakdown and her specific take on it (I legit just wrote probs a 5k word essay comparing her and So Hyun’s takes on Anna’s characterisation) and there’s just something about her madness that you can see in all of her characters. It’s this strange sympathetic pride and really truly something amazing to watch.

In 2019 she did the Camping Club variety show with her idol group where they all reconnected over a trip and did a concert at the end. Even though she was kind of really in the background of the show a lot of people really took her quiet, steady love of her group to heart. And I think it reveals, if you’ve been following her as long as I have ^^;; it that she really really cares very deeply. She’s really thoughtful and aware of people around her and how best to meet their needs. You can see it a lot with how she treats her fellow cast members, she’s gifted basically all the casts she’s worked with in some form or another. For earlier this yearn Rebecca she gifted them all coats, and hand sewed all the Dannys and Ich’s personal monograms into their coats. She’s also highkey a mentor LMAO in an interview she was like “I will teach you all that I know without mercy” LMAO and it’s so funny how often people catch her teaching. I think after she’s done with musicals (which tbh I don’t really see) she might go into teaching the nest generation of musical actors!

And just before I forget 2020 also brought us a new role! Marie Curie! Though technically it’s classified as Popular Theatre now, it started off as a Small theatre show (think bway and off bway size) and it caused a bit of minor chaos because of her casting LMAO. It came so left field a lot of people were stunned slkfjglkjg we thought we all knew what kind of roles she’s be taking but it was a really pleasant surprise! Here’s her almost breaking her mic stand during the musical press presentation. And this is her singing the song “An Other Name” again but this time an official MV. There was a free livestream a bit earlier this year and I managed to record it, it’s only her in the first act though because they changed. And yooo I really forgot how much I needed her being happy LMAO Angst may be her forte because that’s all the characters she’s been given, but with this native Korean original musical she’s really been allowed to explore the entire breadth of the emotional spectrum LMAO like legit Marie Curie was so well written she actually got to emote properly and have a well written arc. And a happy ending LMAO Like god this is the first show where she doesn’t die horribly.

Now that I’ve gone through most of her history. I thoroughly recommend checking out Elisabeth, Sweeney Todd, Mata Hari and Marie Curie. (Since you’ve already checked out Rebecca) those shows are the shows that she really out does herself. All of the roles she’s done has always been knockout to me but these in particular are the rubies of her crown. They show the most passion she has in theatre and as an actor. They also show off just how crazy her voice is. (I would add Wicked but there’s only her concert videos that you can hear her sing the score rather than properly check em out, but ocme off anon and I can change that LMAO) Rebecca I’d say is her crowning jewel. And that really boils down to the way that it changed her career, the types of roles that would be offered to her from then on, audience perception, and her interpretation of that character. I don’t think she’s every thought of a character as deeply as she has done for Danny. And though Elisabeth is equally tied to her name she even admitted that she didn’t do as much for Elisabeth as she had done for Rebecca.

But anyways! That’s just the best shows to introduce yourself, I’d recommend checking out everything her theatre history has to offer!

sljfjfd ok so i broke my ankle at a monday morning volleyball practice before school 🥴 i was in grade 12 so my final year of high school (i guess senior year as you americans say?) so i was pUMPED we were winning all our games and stuff 🤩🤩 but alas...i jumped up to block this girl when she was hitting and she accidentally landed under the net which is a big nono in volleyball for this reason bc when i landed from jumping her feet were under mine so my ankle just kinda....twisted and ✨snapped✨ and i was like 😳 uhhh that hurt and also made a loud noise hm... so my teammates carried me off the court and then after practice my coach drove me to my mom because she’s a physiotherapist so she had some crutches and an air cast that i could use until i got x rays and then yeah i found out it was broken!!! and had to be on crutches for 3 months in the winter which lemme tell you was NOT a vibe (i slipped on ice or slippery floors too many times slfkdksj)

funny story one time i fell in the hall at school because the floor was wet and it was in between classes so there were a ton of people walking by and NO ONE HELPED ME GET UP and i couldn’t get up by myself it was...quite embarrassing 🥴🥴 luckily some guy eventually helped me tho!!
