Why are strangers sending calls unto my device to speak with me, when we have never met nor ever are likely to? Just to attempt a sale, knowing naught at all of my needs?

The latest did attempt to sell me life insurance. I explained to him that I have no intention of ever dying, and thus such a product would be irrelevant, but he was undeterred, and the sales pitches did continue until I closed the call.

Should this trend continue, I may find I must cease to answer calls from those unrecognized.
