The bad luck of breaking a mirror came from wwaaaayyy back in the day when mirrors were extremely expensive. We're talkin' like kings and queens and knights kinda shit. If you broke one, it was 'bad luck' because they were worth so much and hard to get. If you had one and someone broke it? Oh their ass was GRASS. Eventually it just grew into a myth about it being unlucky.
