1926 -- 2018

Today is a sad day for my family and friends, today we mourn our neighbor, our friend, a role model to us all.

Lourdes was a 92 year old black woman that never got married, never had children and yet help raised more children that I can count, she never apologize for exposing her culture in her everyday habbit, she was strong, kind, independent woman, she spend most of her life with her older sister who we lost five years ago, her sister was a fierce woman that would fight anyone that would look at them crossed, I like to think they are united again, they were best friends and two of the kindest soul that I ever met! You could always find my mother at her house, they would drink tea and gossip about whatever was happening around them and they thaught me so much about life.
