Just curious, but how would you recommend referring to the Pokémon world equivalent of the Great Lakes Region of the United States?

I remember seeing a post that directly referenced Africa, and I've wanted to say "Midwest Unova" when asking, but looking at the last person who referenced Western Unova, with the Rapidash reintroduction ask, I feel like using Unova as a catch-all for the USA isn't something you're a fan of?

I guess I could just say Minnesota, on account of Movie 1? I'm just kinda curious how you would like references to people living outside the canon Regions to be handled.

//if it's supposed to be a direct parallel to a real life location without a region based off of it, you can just refer to the real place. the reason i don't like unova as a catch-all for the entire us is that it's not supposed to be the entire us, and there are way too many ecosystems that get erased by doing so.

when you hug asriel after his fight, it’s not asriel saying he doesn’t want to let go, otherwise it would have his talksprite next to it. It’s probably not frisk either; they don’t say anything directly, not even when they’re telling asriel their name earlier in that scene.

it’s got the narrator’s star next to it, so it’s the narrator saying it. 

that’s chara hugging their brother vicariously through frisk for the last time, saying that they don’t want to let him go.

Just curious, but what factors play into when you decide a recurring Pokémon (for example, Bertha the Mudsdale) is put down or dies?

//it depends. sometimes it's based on a real event; bertha's death was based on the euthanasia of a horse named kate at the barn i live at. kate was a percheron and was the reference for several of the drawings i did of bertha. other times it's just when i think it's natural for a pokemon to pass or it's based on events in the rpm server, where most of charlie's life plays out. iris the archeops died in part because he was very old and in part because i wanted charlie have a nice space for the pidove as well as for her adopted kid toast's pokemon to hang out.
