“Don’t worry, I’ll get you out of here in no time! I just need to grab my secret weapon and you’ll be out of there in five minutes tops!”

That’s what Eggs told him right before he sprinted down the hallway that loomed over them. Away from the glue trap that Fritz stumbled onto the moment he exited the wall. Left the teenager completely alone to be found by an opportunistic rat, or the only human in the building at this time of night.

Of course, Fritz trusts Eggs really is going to get something that will free him from the trap. Whether or not it will be something that was found forever ago and kept for this exact scenario or the older borrower is winging it, he’s not going to get left behind. They’re going to try everything possible to get him unstuck. And if nothing works, he won’t he left alone to face something trying to grab him without backup.

He just really hopes Eggs gets back soon.

Suddenly, the ground starts to jump. Not enough to make Fritz lose his balance and end up getting both his shoes and hands stuck in the glue, but it’s enough to send a shiver down his spine. The blood drains from his face as the trembles get stronger, closer, meaning the human is currently walking toward him.

Please don’t look down, please don’t look down.

Fritz’s heart pounds as he sees shoes capable of crushing him step out of the hallway. Doesn’t dare breathe as they stop for a moment.

Then they turn toward him.

“Right there!”

The feeling of something big watching him happens at the same time he recognizes the voice as Eggs’. The older borrower seemed to be far away and above him.

Fritz flinches as a shoe steps only a foot away, gasps as everything jumps from the giant’s proximity and nearly has him falling forward. Looks straight up as terror floods his heart as a knee slams down, along with a hand.

When he looks up, blue eyes bigger than his head are locked directly onto him.

“Hey, fucker,” rumbles through the air as Fritz trembles. Knows this is it. He’s been caught, and he won’t see Eggs ever again. “Been A Dick said you got stuck in a shitty trap and needed help getting out of it.”

…wait, what?

Movement on the giant’s shoulder steals Fritz’s attention as he looks over. Feels his jaw drop at the sight of Eggs hanging onto the human’s collar with one hand as he waves for attention.

“Don’t worry! Mike’ll get you out in no time!”

Oh. Oh. So the human was the secret weapon…why is he only slightly surprised?
