Remembering a detour on a fall trip to #NYC which took me to @harpersferrynps which was the sight of a historical rebellion. John Brown tried to initiate an armed slave revolt there but sadly failed. With about 20 men, he took the Calvary and took the town but the marines later overtook him. Brown was hung for treason. It was part of the buildup to the Civil War.
