We finally have an updated Map of Onmyoji world.

Kyoto - also known as Heian-Kyo and act like the capital of Onmyoji's world, where the privelege mortals and Onmyojis reside.

Mt. Septem - First mentioned in "Ch. 21 Secrets of Mt. Septem". First meeting with Hotarugusa(Kusa). Hakuro and Yotohime were found together caught by spirit but saved by Seimei's group.

Mt. Oe - Demon King Shuten Doji's territory. Hoshiguma Doji and Ibaraki Doji are his loyal subordinates.

Mt. Gloom - Where "Ch. 5 Mt. Gloom Expedition" took place. The place where Seimei first met Kagura without memories and the same place where Kamikui kidnapped Kagura planning to eat her hair.

Ominous Land - The place where Tamamonomae and Dark Seimei's group headed to search for Ungaikyo shard.

Arakawa - Deceased Lord Arakawa and Kingyohime's territory. Invaded before by Otakemaru during the Sealand Invasion arc.

Mt. Suzuka - Otakemaru's home with Suzuka gozen, Sasori, Kanihime and Kujira. The place was dying so Otakemaru decided to invade places near it such as Arakawa, Mt. Oe, Mt. Gloom, Ominious Land, Mt. Septem and Kyoto to form a star that will save his home but failed after Seimei stopped him in Heian-Kyo.

Isle of Sorrow - Where the rumored popular songstress and dancer, Shiranui's story took place.

Itsukushima - A cursed land without sunlight and infested by demon spirits related to Fujiwara clan's Michitsuna and where Kinnara's story took place. Hiromasa and Kagura gone to this place to find a shard of Ungaikyo.

Sea of Eternity - Senhime and merfolk's territory. Yao Bikuni with Suzuka Gozen visited this place to find a shard of Ungaikyo and they both actually have strong connection with the former Merdragon Queen.

Demon Domain - Asura's Hell-like territory. Asura is the lord of the place and currently imprisoned there with demons in exchange of something.

Zenken - Where Celestials reside and ruled by Taishakuten.

Onmyoji Main Clans

Kamo Clan - Seimei studied the arts of Onmyoji under Kamo Clan's teachings where he meet Kidomaru and Kamo no Tadayuki during his childhood. Kamo no Gishin, the Onmyoji in Shiranui’s story is from this clan but quit to become a fisherman near the Isle of Sorrow.

Minamoto Clan - Related to Emperor and well-known powerful Onmyoji clan. Currently lead by Yorimitsu with his ghost army, Hiromasa and Kagura's older brother. This clan used to worship the fallen snake God, Orochi and used maidens as sacrifice offerings to the God. It was revealed in Hakuzosu and Onikiri’s story that Minamoto clan is also known for binding their shikigami as if they are weapon instead of befriending them. Powerful but corrupted clan

Fujiwara Clan - The clan of Fujiwara no Michitsuna, Kinnara’s Onmyoji. The clan is secretive, low profile and don’t involve themselves that much in big matter for now.

For my Story (strongly Onmyoji inspired) story I need help deciding something.

Should I make Seimei so powerful for being from the bloodline of god Susanoo and Orochi the Fallen Fifth Guardian (the Golden Dragon/Serpent of Void).

Or should I make Seimei so powerful for being the reborn fallen fifth Guardian, and Orochi a Primordial Serpent of knowledge who grew corrupted?

Onmyoji Headcanons pt 1

Part 1 because I know I’ll be doing more of these

SSRs

Out of all of them, only Tamamo-no-Mae bothers to follow current trends. Catch Shuten and the lot wearing the same old robes a thousand years later while Tamamo strolls down the catwalk during Paris fashion week.

Susabi has met his frog self.

(Rumors say he brought it to Takaharamagara and almost made it the patron god of adoration.)

Out of all the spirits, Shishio is the hardest to find. He and Yamakaze are acquainted if only for their shared habitat, so the only way you’ll catch a glimpse of him is to ask Yamakaze, and that’s only if Yamakaze doesn’t immediately tear your face off for intruding on his forest.

Lord Arakawa and Ootengu meet up once a month to complain about discuss their grievances with bureaucracy.

Shuten used to join them, but ever since he lost his memories the state of Mount Ōe has sharply deteriorated from “yeah he knows what he’s doing” to “there’s paperwork piled in every corner of Shuten’s home, it’s been three days since he’s slept, and every time he blinks there’s an imprint of words imprinted on his eyelids.”

Otakemaru has a pet turtle that sits on his shoulder whenever he plans his conquests. He claims it’s a good luck charm, and at this point Kujira is too tired to disagree.

If there’s one thing they all agree on, it’s to protect Kaguya at all costs.

Ootengu has the softest hair, followed closely by Shishio. But you’ll never get close enough to check.

Put Shuten and Shiranui together, and chaos will erupt. Shiranui may not look the part, but she’s got a killer alcohol tolerance and enough stubbornness to rival Ibaraki.

Yoto-hime met Onikiri once during their shared time under the Minamoto Clan. Once they were freed, they met again and spent the night complaining talking about Minamoto no Yorimitsu.

Hana (or Kachōfūgetsu) is the de facto therapist for the spirit world. You often can find Onikiri at her home, falling asleep to the sound of her birds and nightmares chased away by her cool hands on his forehead.

On the flip side, she has arm-wrestled Shuten and won, so don’t underestimate her.

To the rest of the spirit world, Ibaraki Doji is a terrifying force of nature, capable of destroying forests and wrecking entire villages with a single sweep of his demonic arm. Unpredictable, foul-tempered, anyone who gets on his bad side will most likely cease to exist.

Which is why it surprised no one when he was finally tamed by the most powerful spirit of the generation. Who else to curb one of the greatest oni in the world but the greatest?

Put Shuten and Orochi in close proximity, and Shuten will immediately clam up and refuse to move, while Orochi pretends that Shuten doesn’t exist.

Some people chalk it up the natural animosity between the demon king and a (fallen) god. Others aren’t so sure.

Bonus: SPs

SP Ibaraki is how he appeared when he challenged Shuten for the first time, and it’s his natural form.

Ibaraki only changed his appearance after he made a smaller spirit cry with his resting bitch face and Shuten grabbed him by the horn and demanded that he apologize.

During his younger years, Lord Arakawa fought everyone. Otakemaru was the least of it.

Tamamo-no-Mae, Shuten, Yuki-doji, even Menreiki.

Even though he acts all cool and collected now, the older spirits know exactly what kind of spitfire youth he used to be, and they’ll never let him live it down, especially since he scolds Kingyo for being too “battle-hungry.”

Tamamo-no-Mae? The ultimate mom.
