thank you to @xiaosean for setting this off, i honestly don’t know how our brains work but that conversation about onlygifs was what started this all i guess? jessica the single braincell is really working over time here xx 

about crediting content creators:

i think i talk about this extensively here but please let me remind you again, stealing i.e. reposting without credit or claiming for your own in any way is not cool under any circumstance

the least you could do if you wish to use someone’s work is to credit them and respect the watermark, it is beyond frustrating and heartbreaking to see your own work (after you’ve spent hours creating it) just simply taken by someone else and in some cases used as the base for another gif. just because something doesn’t have a watermark, does not give you the right to take it!

we are not paid to do this! in fact, i’m probably racking up more debt since i pay monthly subscription to use adobe suite. we make gifs because we genuinely enjoy to do so and we love the interaction we get with the rest of the fandom! most people are so supportive and so appreciative and that’s why we continue to make content! please don’t take advantage of that, especially of those creators who gracefully do not put their watermarks.   

so please: respect the content creator’s wishes and don’t repost their work
