WINTERFEST: at the rink with @weshill

Many might’ve complained about working during the holidays, but not Diana. Not when her work involved something she loved. Sure, all it was was skating duty, which mostly involved a lot of making sure people weren’t hurting themselves or offering a hand if someone looked like they needed a gentle nudge away from the boards. At the moment, though, it was practically empty. Other than a few stragglers enjoying having the open space to themselves, it was free for Diana to roam. She loving the idea of being able to spin and skip and do whatever without being ranked on it. She was about to do just that, too, but seeing Wes passing by caught her attention before she could. She automatically started towards the side of the rink he was walking by. “Hey, stranger!” Diana called out as she skated over, the ice shooting out from under the blades as she skidded to a stop along the edge. It was a strange occurrence seeing Wes on his own. During skating lessons, it was like him and his kids came as a package deal. Him alone was like witnessing a unicorn in the flesh. “You here with the little snow bunnies tonight or is it just you?”
