#mytext#i went snowboarding for the first time in...about ten years?#the first hour was absolute misery. sitting wretchedly in the snow. unable to get up. tired. overheating. utterly defeated#seriously contemplated going back down the lift and just leaving multiple times#only the indignity of having paid TWENTY DOLLARS unexpectedly for parking kept me there. but it was a miserable and wretched slog#after the first few awful runs i regained my muscle memory and was like oh. this is fine actually :)#contemplating taking up skiing instead of boarding. im tired of brute forcing myself to my feet and getting stuck in flat parts#but seriously. twenty dollars for parking? come ON. we are not in LA
