currently reading: Expectations by Goerge Gopen. It’s a book on how sentence structure/word order influences a sentence’s meaning/vibes, and also how to structure sentences to be easy to read and get your intended meaning/vibes across.

An example of sentence structure influences vibes is this:

This story is excellent, but the dialogue needs work.

The dialogue needs work, but the story is excellent

Same words, different order, different vibes (though these ideas aren’t a science by any means, and not everyone will agree on which sentence has the better vibes or if the vibes are different at all. But anyway.)
