↠ Summary: Ever since quarantine has started, Changbin has been logging more hours at home, which is more than ideal when he’s swamped in paperwork and in need of some company.

↠ A/N: Hi this is my first stray kids fic and I kinda wanna write more but let me know if you like it and if this is something you’d like me to write more of ♡

“Changbin?”

“In here!” He yells, the sound muffled by the closed door separating the two of you.

Propping open the door to his office, you peek your head inside. He sits at his desk, papers dispersed around him as a pen sits behind his ear. The computer screen in front of him displays his open email, several messages on the side of the screen left unread, marked with a blue dot to tell you so. Ever since he’s begun working at home it’s hard for him to leave his desk, resulting in less time together.

He doesn’t look up from his work as you step inside the doorway, he’s too focused on whatever he’s doing right not to notice you approaching him. “What’s up?” Changbin says as your arms wrap around his neck, your head rests on one shoulder as you inhale deeply, enjoying the spicy smell of his cologne. It always seemed to comfort you, bringing you a sense of home wherever you were with him.

“Missed you,” you say, eyes closing in bliss. He’s been trapped in his office the greater half of the day, only coming out to use the restroom every once in a while. “If you’re busy I can leave you be,” you sigh, straightening up from your one-sided embrace to leave the room.

“I’m never too busy for you, babygirl,” he smiles, his chair turning around swiftly to meet eyes with you. He was tired, you could feel the exhaustion radiating to you right from the bags under his chocolate eyes. That's how he gets when he’s focused on something – he doesn’t know how to let it go until it’s complete. It’s probably for the best if you left and let him finish up so he won’t be here all night...

“It’s okay baby,” you meet him with sympathetic eyes, torn between wanting to stay but not wanting to wait any longer for him to come to bed. “Just don’t stay up too late, yeah?”

“C’mere,” he says as his hand pats his thigh, “sit on my lap until I finish. I’m almost done. Promise.”

Heat rises to your cheeks as you let go of the door handle, raising your eyebrows at him to make sure it’s really okay. Not that you thought he wants anything else, he’s longed for you all day just as much as you’ve missed him. Changbin is looking up at you with wide eyes, trying so hard to stay awake for just a bit longer and wanting nothing more to spend this time with you. The small pout growing on his lips really locks you in, though. How could you say no to him when he’s looking at you like that?

“Okay,” you sigh dreamily, a newfound pep in your step developing as you make your way back to him. The smell of his cologne comforts you once again, gently sitting down on his lip before shimmying yourself sideways, legs dangling off the side. A satisfied breath leaves your lips as your hands wrap loosely around his waist, keeping you steady as you settle into his warm body.

“Comfy?” His voice raspy and calm, soothing your eyes shut while you relax into him. You nod gently against his chest, a small smile playing on your lips when he shifts his weight backwards on the chair to make more room for you. Wiggling on top of him, you make yourself comfortable in your new seat.

“Mhm,” you say leaning towards him, the sound of your voice muffled as you bury your head in his chest. This was something that you could get used to.
