Ranking My Interest in GMMTV2025 BLs/BL-adjacents/Bromances (pt. 2)

These are shows that seem more interesting then the average GMMTV series from 2024's lineup. These are either stories I've not seen done before in BL (or at least at GMMTV), shows with bolder storylines, and/or shows with a stronger cast of actors or higher production quality than the ones in lower tiers.

Me and Thee | PondPhuwin, PerthSanta

These are all shows that look a cut above the typical GMMTV BL. I feel like each of these has potential to be individually great, but A LOT would be riding on a couple very particular aspects (I note what those aspect are for each show below)

Burnout Syndrome | OffGun, DewGun

A lot's riding on whether GMMTV will be bold enough to give us DewGun and the arthouse vibes of the opening sequence.

A Dog and A Plane | TayNew, MarcPoon

As long as we stay focused on Tay and New and the romance doesn't take too long to develop, we could be in business.

Boys in Love | LukeMick, ChokunAston, KenPaul, PoddPapang

Given that the entire main cast has never had a lead role (and how young they are), I am skeptical of if the acting talent is there to carry us through what is a very classic and well-trodden path for hs BLs. They need to prove that they can be just as expressive and comfortable-feeling as, say, a Fourth in MSP or Progress in LoveSick 2024.

The only reason this isn't in the Platinum Tier is because I'm like 90% certain this isn't even a bromance, let alone a BL. I think GMMTV is seeing the reaction to HSF and playing into it despite the fact that Nani clearly does not want to do BL lmfaoooo. /hj

This is a BL (yes, there's only one Platinum Tier showing) I cannot see not going well. Like everything from the plot, to the mise en scene, to the acting CLINIC showcased in the trailer by one of the leads gives me so much excitement. I will be so shitty if GMMTV finds a way to ruin what looks to be one of the best BLs in YEARS.

I kept swinging from nah not for me to yeah I'm interested. I think I'll have to wait for the final trailer but I suspect I'll end up watching it based on what peeps are gifing as the time more than anything
