You used to say you wanted at least three children growing up.
But then your sister gave birth to one beautiful son, a nephew you love with everything your heart can offer and more, and, after seeing the hardship she went through, you decided motherhood isn't for you. You had never thought motherhood was easy, but seeing someone so close to you going through it was another experience altogether.
The thought of being the aunt that spoils their nephew to no end definitely seems like the better choice. Given, your sister's journey is probably harder than most because the father isn't in the picture and God knows how cruel the world can be to single mothers, especially those out of wedlock.
Still, you had lived with her for the first three months after she gave birth to help her around, and you’re 99% sure (the 1% you keep around just in case your words will bite you back in the ass) you would never be able to care for a child 24/7. Even babysitting during the day was hard, but she had to care for Seungyoon during day and night and you don’t even dare to imagine the amount of patience it took her to do that.
“Seungyoon is… how old now?” Jisoo asks as she bounces your nephew on her lap. You’re on babysitting duty today, as Yuri has a business trip to Suwon and you’ve convinced her to let you babysit Seungyoon. That sister of yours can be too hard headed for her own good when it comes to her son, which you understand to a certain point, but you don’t see why she should bring her toddler son to a business trip when you don’t even have work today and you’re her sister for a reason.
It’s always been you two; three now, with Seungyoon. You don’t have any other family and it’s okay as long as you have each other. You’ve found a lot of family along the way in other people: like Jisoo, your best friend since high school, and Seungcheol, another best friend of yours from university. Not to forget Jinyoung, Yuri’s only and closest friend who’s basically your big brother. You’re happy with this family and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
"He's three next month." You grin as your nephew giggles uncontrollably on Jisoo's lap, the way Seungcheol is poking his belly making his giggle louder by the seconds.
"Already?" Seungcheol exclaims, his mouth turning into a small 'o'. "Wow. Felt like it was just yesterday we visited Yuri after her labor."
"Right?" Jisoo sighs as she hugs the kid closer to her. She has always had a soft spot for him, to the point where she was probably more excited about Seungyoon's birth than you were almost three years ago. "Now this brat can already talk back if we try to make him eat his carrot."
Seungyoon scrunches in distaste at the mention of the vegetable, frowning at Jisoo like she has personally offended him. "Auntie. No carrot."
"Why do you not like carrots though?" Seungcheol intercepts, indulging him.
"Yuck." His frown deepens, followed by a yawn that makes its way out of his small lips.
"They're good for your eyes, you know." You poke his cheek to gain his attention and, just like that, the little kid turns to you and extends his arms so you'd take him to your lap instead. It's something he often does when his mom isn't around; seeks for your warmth when he's sleepy or uncomfortable. Because you're you and you're always there together with his mom that his mind already registers you as another safe place for him. It's something that Yuri has taught him too, to find you or Uncle Jinyoung if she's not there.
"Sleepy?" You take him into your arms and whisper with a soft kiss on top of his head, the way you endlessly caress his hair lulling him to sleep. "We'll go home in a bit, okay?"
Seungyoon doesn't answer, simply buries his face in your chest as sleep overcomes him bit by bit.
Almost an hour goes by just like that, with the three of you quietly continuing the discussion in the cafe, talking about work and whatnot as your fingers absentmindedly comb through Seungyoon's hair even if he's already asleep at this point.
"Hey, didn't you go on a date or something last week?"
Seungcheol looks at you, nods, then shrugs, not giving any details until Jisoo prods, prods, and prods. You're thankful she does it for you, because you're actually also curious but don't really have the heart to force it out of him.
Seungcheol is a romantic. Has always been particular with the girls he wants to date. If he's not interested, then he wouldn't spare them a glance. If he's only remotely interested, he'd still be skeptical and find a hundred reasons not to agree on a date. There's just something bothersome about going out with someone he doesn't know without anyone else present.
You and Jisoo have been encouraging him to go on dates though, if only because it's been too long and you recognize the longing in his eyes everytime he sees his friends with their partners. He claims he's not currently looking for a relationship, but it's also been quite some time since he even goes out with anyone other than you two, and that's why you've been telling him to be more open at least for the first meetings. If he doesn't want to continue from then, then it's up to him. But how would he find someone–anyone if he doesn't even want to go on the first date?
"It was okay… but, nothing special. She's nice and we have some common interests but…" His gaze falls on Seungyoon on your lap, then caresses his head as if seeking some sort of comfort from the little boy. "Not interested in a second date."
Jisoo is about to argue, probably meaning to convince him to tell more, but her phone rings and she immediately picks up when she sees her fiance's name. Jeonghan rarely calls when she's out with you both, that's a rule they've decided together: to respect the time they spend with their friends. So she knows it must be important if he calls her instead of leaving a text.
You see her panic the longer the call goes, hand already busy packing up her stuff as you barely hear Jeonghan's faint voice calmly speak through the phone.
"Jeonghan’s sister got into an accident." Jisoo relays the information once he hangs up, voice shaking, and worry floods over you despite not knowing the girl personally. "I… I need to go. She's being taken to the hospital now."
"Want me to drive you?" Seungcheol offers, but Jisoo shakes her head and says she's going home first, that she'll go with Jeonghan because the accident isn't in Seoul and, even if he didn't mention it, she knows he needs her with him.
"Update us?" You try to be calm for her, your palm caresses her arm in comfort.
"I will." She bites her lip in worry, looking at the map on her phone that indicates the location of the taxi she's just ordered. "She's… she's on a trip with her friend and she's supposed to come home today. But there's an accident on Seocho and it's quite a big one because a loading truck caused it."
You blink at the location, the transition between your heart dropping then speeding up as the worst case scenario goes through your mind is a matter of seconds. Yuri would need to go through Seocho too on her way back from Suwon.
It's only 3PM now. If she's on a business trip, surely she would go home later in the evening, right? Fuck, your phone is in your bag and you can’t take it without waking your nephew. You just had to put it on ‘do not disturb’ too, though you’ve made sure to let it ring if a call goes through.
Your tendency to spiral into worst case scenarios makes it hard to convince yourself everything’s fine because it hasn’t rung. You’re dying to just call Yuri and listen to her calling you dumb for worrying; because she’s okay and she’ll be home in a few hours. That you need to calm down because she promises she’s okay.
Jisoo doesn’t seem to notice the shift in your mood due to her own stress, but Seungcheol does and he doesn’t address it until Jisoo bids you two goodbye along with a soft kiss on Seungyoon’s head. He shifts closer to you, his palm reaching your shoulder before he asks if you’re okay.
“Can you get my phone, please?” You say instead, the tremble in your voice worries him. He goes through your bag like you ask him to, then hands you the device as he notices the way your arm tightens around Seungyoon.
You’re so tense that he almost reminds you to breathe, he sees you scroll but it seems like you find nothing by the way you’re biting your lip. Then he sees you type, another sigh escapes your lips as you anxiously stare at your screen. Before he can ask if something’s wrong, you bring your phone to your ear, an endless ring greeting your ear because whoever you’re calling isn’t picking up.
“Okay, talk to me.” Seungcheol finally says, his voice soft but firm. The way you’re looking at him isn’t helping at all, and he sees you gripping your phone like it has personally wronged you. “What’s wrong?”
“Yuri is in Suwon.”
“Okay?”
“She–she’d need to go through Seocho to go back to Seoul, right?” He nods, finally grasping your worry. “She’s not replying to my texts nor my calls and I’m–I don’t know, I’m freaking out.”
He doesn’t want to brush off your worries, because he knows how much Yuri means to you and he understands how your train of thoughts might’ve gone in the short span of time between Jisoo’s news and your current condition. But he’s not sure how to calm you down without sounding like he’s downplaying your worries; so he takes the one route that he knows would at least remind you that you need to get it together.
“Hey. Breathe, okay? You’ll wake Seungyoon up.” He whispers like it’s a secret, and you take a long, deep breath as you nod. Seungcheol has always had that effect on you; to make you calm down and be your pillar when you need someone to be. Jisoo is a little blunt and harsh at times, another type of friend you’re glad you have in life because you definitely need someone like her to knock senses into your head. But that means you don’t always go to her when you’re looking for comfort and validation. That role is Seungcheol’s and, while he can be strict at times, he’s better at sympathizing with your feelings (or everyone else’s, really) than anyone. “Maybe Yuri’s in a meeting and she’s not with her phone?”
He’s probably right, but the feeling inside your gut is starting to root deeper and deeper within you the more time passes by, it’s ugly and it’s unpleasant. Like you can feel something is going entirely wrong though you can’t tell if you’re making things up or not at this point. You try to find comfort in Seungyoon’s sleeping form, his cheek pressed against your shoulder and his arms limp on his sides.
It works along with the deep breath Seungcheol reminds you once again to take, and when your phone does ring thirty minutes later, it’s Seungcheol who takes it because Seungyoon squirms in your arms at the sudden noise.
It’s an unknown number, but the way his jaw tenses at whatever he’s hearing is making your heart twist with worry. You can’t even try to understand what they’re saying, because Seungcheol doesn’t say anything but ‘yes’, but it must be important if he’s still listening, and the last thing you heard before he hangs up is not a sentence you wish to hear in midst of your worry. We’ll be there as soon as possible. Thank you for informing us.
The way he looks at you makes your throat tightens, you can probably feel dread at the tip of your tongue. You hold Seungyoon tighter for the sake of your sanity, the toddler has fallen back to sleep. When Seungcheol speaks, your eyes blur with tears and you hate the way you already know what he’s saying before he even finishes his sentence.
The one time you wish you were wrong, you just have to be right.
“Yuri’s in the hospital. She’s in the ICU and we need to get there immediately.”
You’re trying your best not to bawl on your way there, thankful for Seungcheol as he drives as fast as he’s allowed to, Seungyoon no longer asleep but cluelessly plays with your hair as he obediently stays on your lap. It’s like he knows you’re not okay, knows not to throw a tantrum and not to ask to sit by himself at the back like he usually would.
Like he knows you need him with you to keep you sane.
Seungcheol looks calm, but the way his palm grips yours obviously indicates otherwise and you try to distract yourself from all the worst possibilities in your mind by thinking of how lucky you are to have him with you of all people. You know he’s worried out of his mind too, but he still takes your hand because he knows you need it, knows that it helps to keep you grounded even if you have your nephew on your lap.
It doesn’t last for long though, and you don’t know what to think of Seungcheol’s lack of explanation. Yes, he confirmed that Yuri is also involved in the same accident as Jeonghan’s sister, but he didn’t say anything else. But does he really need to when he’s already said Yuri is in the ICU? If she had been okay, she would be in the ER at most; but they felt the need to take her to the ICU and that must be saying something.
Did the speaker not say anything to him? Or does he simply not want to give you empty hopes?
“Hey.” His voice brings you out of your trance and you squeeze his hand out of reflex. “I’ll be here, okay?”
You tear up again and nod, your arm that’s around your nephew tightens.
Seungyoon shifts at this, buries himself in your neck and wraps his arms around your neck like he knows you need it more than you do.
[✾✾✾]
Jinyoung is already there when you arrive, and he hugs you tight like he’s preparing you for bad news, like he needs to calm you down because whatever follows after isn’t going to be pleasant.
Seungyoon is in Seungcheol’s arms, breaking the older man’s heart by asking why they’re in the doctor’s place over and over again. Seungcheol assures him he’s not going to get shot when the toddler almost cries saying he doesn’t want to see the doctor today, promises to buy him ice cream later on if he doesn’t cry and stays in his arms.
“Is… is it bad?” You manage to choke between your tears. Jinyoung is rarely unkept, but he’s disheveled and if he’s like this then you don’t know if you want to hear what he has to say. You’re sure the doctor has filled him in on something, Jinyoung is registered as both your and Yuri’s emergency contact and if he’s here before you do, they must have told him something.
He takes a few moments to compose himself and arranges his words, his hands holding yours like it’s his lifeline.
“They aren’t sure she’s going to make it.”
More tears spill out of your eyes, though you try to contain your sob because Seungyoon is right behind you with Seungcheol, though when Jinyoung gives your friend a look, he’s quick to take Seungyoon somewhere out of sight so you can finally cry, cry, and cry until your tears dry out.
Yuri might not make it. You swallow the words like needles between your throat, your lips trembling as you stubbornly try to contain your despair. But when Jinyoung pulls you once again into his chest and whispers words of comfort you wish you could tell Yuri who’s by herself in the operating room, the dam breaks and you grip the front of his shirt like it’s the only thing you know how to do.
You don’t want to think of the worst case scenario. Don’t want to think of a life without your sister. But how can you not when you’ve been there in front of the OR for two hours? How can you not when your consciousness is going in and out of your head and the only thing that reminds you you’re awake is Seungcheol’s soft breath and the steady pattern of his heartbeat?
“Drink something?” He asks, his voice hesitant. You haven’t talked at all since Jinyoung told you Yuri might not make it, and you’re thankful Seungcheol doesn’t force you to either when he comes back with your nephew in tow. Jinyoung fills him in quickly between whispers before taking the kid with him and Seungcheol doesn’t waste a second to hold you because you look like you’re seconds away from fainting.
You shake your head even though your throat is dry and you honestly feel like you’re about to pass out any moment now. The only thing that’s keeping you here right now is Seungcheol: he’s basically plastered to you and he refuses to let go of you since earlier, which you appreciate so much because you don’t know if you even have it in you to sit straight without him by your side. You’ve just been spacing out in his embrace for two hours straight, his arm around you and your forehead on the juncture of his neck.
“Mommy?” Seungyoon’s voice brings you out of your trace, and you find him with Jinyoung, though the boy immediately lets go of his hand once he sees the state you’re in. Seungyoon only calls you that when he thinks you’re sad, a nickname that Yuri has always encouraged him for because even if he doesn’t have a father, she makes sure to let him know that he has two mothers who would do everything for him and you’re one of them.
He calls Yuri Mama, and he usually calls you ‘Mi’ because it’s easier than ‘Mommy’. He very rarely calls you by the latter because no one refers to you as such and he’s not used to it most of the time. But he knows you usually smile when he does it, which is why he only calls you that way when he thinks you’re upset.
“Mommy okay?” He climbs into your lap, making your eyes water once again. God, this precious child might lose his own mother and he doesn’t know. He doesn’t know a thing and you pray once again to every deity in existence that you wouldn’t need to tell Seungyoon he wouldn’t be able to see his mom again.
He frowns when you don’t giggle like you usually would, though you do force a smile as you pull him into a hug.
“I’m sorry I left you with Uncle Jinyoung.” You say instead, not wanting to lie to the kid when you’re obviously not okay. “He’s boring, isn’t he?”
His small giggle warms you a little, but then he shakes his head and tells you Uncle Jinyoung is fun today and he buys him food earlier. You hum as he continues to blabber, mouthing a ‘thank you’ to Jinyoung when he catches your eyes.
“Yoon, will you tell Mi to drink water?” Seungcheol hands the bottle to your nephew, knowing full well you can’t resist him. You pretend to glare at him, aware that Seungcheol knows how grateful you are with him by your side. Seungcheol has just texted Jisoo that you’re both in the hospital for Yuri, and she promises she’ll drop by as soon as possible after informing him that thankfully Jeonghan’s sister is okay even though she has a minor concussion.
“Mi, water.” He repeats after the older man, his hands can barely hold the water bottle straight.
You thank him as you take a gulp, only now realizing how thirsty you actually are. Seungyoon shifts to play with your hair, still blissfully unaware why you’re all in the hospital, though he’s just happy in his bubble to be surrounded by you and his uncles.
For a second, you let a little bit of hope pass through you. You hope it can stay peaceful like this, with Seungyoon in your arms as you pretend you’re waiting for Yuri to come home.
Yeah, you’re waiting for her to come out, aren’t you?
Right–you’re so going to give her hell for all the worry and tears she made you shed. For making you lose it in front of Seungyoon and making you cry in front of Jinyoung, of all people. Yuri is in for a lot of nagging once she wakes up. Sick or not, you’re still going to scream at her and you’re going to hug her tight because it doesn’t make sense how deep the dread she makes you feel right now.
Yeah, that’s what you’re going to do.
She’s going to make it. She might not wake up immediately after the surgery, but you’re going to do all that when she wakes up and–
Min Yuri’s family?
And you’re going to lock her in a headlock like you usually would when she’s being annoying–
We’re sorry…
And you’re going to bawl into her chest like you used to when you were six–
…tried out best…
And she’s going to laugh at you because she never knows what to do when you cry–
…too weak and…
But she’ll still hug you back because that’s what sisters are for–
…we’re sorry.
Because you only have each other.
Only have each other.
Had each other.
Your eyes get more and more blurry by the seconds, everything came crashing all over your body from head to toe, it’s getting harder to breathe, someone is holding you and—
You don’t know what happened after.
[✾✾✾]
On your eighteenth birthday, Yuri gave you a silver band and said you’re not allowed to take it off unless someone she approved of proposed. That you’re only allowed to take it off on your wedding day where she’d definitely be your maid of honor because who else would?
It’s a promise that I’ll be with you until I’m sure someone else will take care of you as well as I do.
You have never taken off your ring since then, never had any intention to, either. But now that you stare at it as you pack her belongings in her place, you want nothing but to rip it off your finger like it burns.
Didn’t she promise to be with you until then?
Didn’t she promise to make sure that whoever’s going to marry you is worthy of taking her ring off for?
Didn’t she fucking promise you she wouldn’t leave you behind like your parents did?
“Hey. Maybe it’s time to rest?” You look up at Seungcheol who’s hovering on the door. He looks only a little better than you are, but who can blame him when he hasn’t gone home at all since that day in the hospital? He’s been with you since then; Jisoo and Jinyoung take turns going back and forth, even Jeonghan stays for a bit when he has the time.
Seungcheol was with you when you spent that night in the hospital, when you cried next to Yuri’s body before they closed the coffin, when you went home with Seungyoon to your place because you couldn’t bear to go to Yuri’s place just yet, and now, when you finally gathered the courage to go to her place and pack her stuff because who else will?
“Don’t you have work?” You ask instead, feeling bad that he’s been with you basically 24/7 the past week.
“You know my work allows me to work from anywhere.” He smiles a little before taking the seat next to you on the floor. “Let’s get lunch? Seungyoon says he wants jjajangmyeon.”
Seungyoon. Your poor child. You don’t think he really understands what’s happening. Jinyoung had kindly taken over your role to relay the information to the kid, but he had simply asked if his mom was going somewhere when Jinyoung said he wouldn’t be able to see her anymore.
You’re sure he would’ve cried seeing you bawl if not for Seungcheol quickly pulling you with him and holding you in his arms as you tried your best to block your sob, barely making out the conversation between the two.
Mama is in heaven now.
“Is it nice?”
Hmm. The best. But you won’t be able to see her anymore.
“Even if I miss her?”
Yes. It’s too far and if she has to come here, she’ll get very tired and might even get sick. We don’t want that, right?
“But what if I want see Mama?”
Then you’ll have to wait until the sky turns dark and the stars are visible. Mama is one of the stars now. Is that okay?
“But… there are so many…”
Seungyoon is smart, though. Aren’t you?
“Hmm..”
Then I’m sure you’ll know which one is Mama?
“Mmm… Want Mommy… Where’s Mommy?”
“Mommy?” Seungyoon has been calling you that often now. You’re not sure if he’s simply too confused or if it’s because you’ve been looking too upset these days, but his small voice always makes your heart clenches in the most painful way possible because it sounds like he knows he can’t call his own mom anymore. It’s getting harder and harder to hear him call you anything of the sort because it reminds you that his Mama is no longer around. “Hungry.”
Jisoo looks at you in apology from the door. She’s been with Seungyoon earlier, telling him they have to pack his toys because he’ll be moving with you and no longer live there. The boy has been more quiet these days, and you feel bad because you think he’s quiet because he’s tired and he doesn’t know what’s happening; why you barely talk and why his mom is not here.
“Uncle Cheol said you want jjajangmyeon?” You say as you take him in your arms, the boy suddenly shy as he nods and buries himself in your neck. “Do you want to eat outside or here?”
“Out okay?” he asks, almost hesitant. Then continues to make your heart hurt when he says his next words. “Mommy always inside these days…”
“Oh, baby.” You bite your lip and murmur an apology against his forehead. The way you hug him is more for you then it is for Seungyoon, but he tightens his arms around you also and asks once again if it’s okay to eat outside. “We can. Let’s go with Uncle Cheol and Auntie Choo, yeah?”
Seungcheol opts to go to the jjajangmyeon place you used to go to during university instead of the one nearby. It takes almost an hour to get there, but he thinks you need it and he’s sure the owner of the jjajangmyeon place near Yuri’s apartment would definitely be asking about her–which you definitely don’t need.
It’s been quite some time since Seungyoon went anywhere too, so he figures he could at least give that to the kid.
“Been some time since we went here, huh?” It really has. The last time was probably a year ago or something, because life gets in the way and even though you’ve been saying you wanted to come here again, the both of you are always too lazy and the university seems too far away even if it’s not really.
Still, the owner recognizes you two and happily takes your order which hasn't changed since the time you were in university.
Apparently, the old lady hasn’t changed either, because her eyes sparkle with interest as she sees Seungyoon in your arms. You dread her question already, knowing what she’d ask before she even does.
But as much as you expected her words, nothing prepared you for her whole sentences.
“Oh my. Is this your kid? He looks so much like you. I knew you two would get married one day.” She says as she addresses you and Seungcheol, way too excited to notice the horrified look you share with your best friend, nor Jisoo who’s trying her best not to laugh at the sudden turn of events.
You don’t even get the chance to deny her statement, because she already turns back to the kitchen then returns just as quick, giving Seungyoon a pack of jelly that’s supposedly her grandson’s.
“What a nice kid.” She smiles at Seungyoon who thanks her with a cheeky smile, the boy clutches the jelly like you’d take it any moment now. “My grandson used to cry all the time at his age. What a nice mom you have, hmm? She’s brought you up really well.”
“Mommy the best.” Seungyoon replies cheekily, which concludes the conversation because that seems to be enough for the owner to leave your table.
Once again, you’re thankful Seungcheol is beside you as you exhale a deep breath and try to swallow your tears on his shoulder. This is just a taste of what you’d need to deal with more in the future; people mistaking you as Seungyoon’s mom and you’ll somehow get the credit for everything Yuri did to make sure Seungyoon grew up well.
It’s not fair.
Nothing is and you hate that there’s nothing you can do about it.
“Mommy?” Seungyoon tugs softly on your hair to catch your attention. “Feed me?”
You tear up again at this, because Seungyoon has actually been insisting on eating by himself the past few months, saying he’s a big boy and that he can manage eating by himself. Does he know? That you need him to depend on you? That you need something to distract you?
“Want Mommy to feed me.” He repeats, his voice faltering at your lack of response. How long have you been neglecting him? How selfish can you be, drowning in your own sorrow like Seungyoon hasn’t lost his own mother? He’s probably even more lost than you are, with Yuri gone and you disassociating for a whole week.
You’re lucky Seungyoon has always been a nice kid, that he simply accepts that his aunt and uncles were to take care of him for the week.
How fucking selfish can you be?
“Yeah.” You square your shoulder and drop a kiss on his head. It’s not only you that needs him, you remind yourself. Seungyoon also needs you and you’re going to give everything you have and more if it means he’s happy and healthy. “Mommy will feed you, okay?”

I have a dirty question 👀 How do you think it was the first time that Nath, Castiel and Rayan fucked Candy out the back door? 🔥
I guess by “out the back door” you’re not implying in the garden right? 👀
lol should we take for granted that this happened and do this headcanon style? I never do headcanons, but I could use the distraction. Let me do this in three parts though, starting with Rayan.
Rayan:
- Candy and Rayan have been in a steady relationship for a while. Since the first time she went to his flat and they jumped on each other the moment she stepped foot inside, they’ve had a very passionate relationship. They spend time talking about everything, their life, art, movies, books and also making love.
- Rayan has such a mature and passionate way to make love to her. He’s neither a wild beast in bed, nor a shy, flustered kid. He knows how to move around a woman’s body and does it in the same way he does everything in life: with expertise, talent and care.
- Candy has never been happier and more satisfied, and she knows that he’s also very happy about their sex life, but more than once she’s wondered if maybe he has some fantasies he’d like to explore and he’s wary to let her know because of their age difference or some other stupid reason. But she has a hunch.
- Several times she’s spotted him checking out her ass. He does it almost absentmindedly, usually when she wears that pair of very proper and professional suits slacks she bought for her internship. Many times this has lead to some of their most intense love-making sessions. When he’s the one leading the show, she noticed he usually prefers positions where he can kiss her nape, massage her back and literally have her ass in his hands. And a few times she’s turned her head, she’s noticed his gaze fixed to her bottom and the raw hunger in his eyes.
- Candy had never considered before the idea of doing anal sex. A couple of weeks go by while she reflects on it, she’s curious and, more importantly, she’s very sure that Rayan would never do anything that would even remotely hurt her. His birthday is soon approaching, so she decides she’s going to surprise him.
- She looks online for sexy shops in town and finds one where she buys a box of lube and brings it back home. Because Rayan’s birthday comes up during a weekday, when they are both busy with work, he’d asked to celebrate with a simple take-out dinner and night in. But she has plans for the after-dinner.
- They spend a lovely night, eating and chatting, Candy had even bought a small cake to celebrate her old boy. The moment he blows on the candle with a smile on his face and shares a slice of cake, she gives him her gift, which is a small sculpture from this local artist he’s a fan of and they are both sure is going to become a big name in the future. He looks at her lovingly and kisses her, telling her that he loves her.
- Things start getting hot as they move to the bedroom and quickly shed their clothes. “I have a second gift for you,” Candy says looking at him blushing a little embarrassed, biting her lip. She grabs the lube from her nightstand and enjoys his shocked expression. She tells him how she’s put together those clues and that she’s interested in trying this with him. He’s cautious, telling her that they don’t need to, that he’s perfectly satisfied with their current sex life and doesn’t need anything else, but she can also notice the excitement in his eyes. So she kisses him and reassures him, telling that that’s what she wants too.
- He kisses all over her, worshiping her body like only he can. She lies on the bed and lets him kiss her nape, and then down her back, tracing her whole spinal cord until he reaches her bottom. She feels something cold touching her back entrance and realises it’s his lubed finger. At first he just rests it at her entrance while he caresses her all over, then he starts pushing just a little.
- It doesn’t hurt. It’s actually an interesting sensation, almost pleasurable, she knows that part of the body has many nerve endings, and he’s being extremely cautious and slow, slipping only the tip of his finger in and resting it there. “Don’t worry Rayan, I can take more”, Candy reassures him, and she feels him slowly slipping his whole finger in.
- The sensation is something indescribable. It’s not unpleasant but it’s something completely new, and the moment he starts moving his finger in and out, she feels her clit rubbing against the bed-sheets and this makes things extremely interesting. His words of encouragement are also relaxing her, and the moment she feels a second finger pressing against her entrance she relaxes further and lets it slip in.
- She feels stretched but not so much for it to be painful. “You’re doing so good, baby,” she hears him say with a hoarse voice and she knows he’s touching himself while he’s touching her. So, as he keeps moving faster and faster, she starts pushing against his fingers, rubbing her clit more and more. The double simulation, combined with his grunts, knowing he’s getting more and more excited without even having pushed himself inside her yet, is enough for her to come after a while, and soon after she hears his loud moans and something wet and warm on her ass-cheeks.
- He lets himself fall down next to her and grabs to hold her tight. He asks her if she was okay and felt any pain. She reassures him, telling him it had been amazing, more than what she’d expected. “But I wanted you inside me, Rayan” she adds a little confused. So he explains that this is enough for the first time and should take things slowly, letting her get used to the sensation and smaller sizes. His size is quite big and would never try to take her immediately. He adds that they will have fun preparing for the time she will be able to take him completely, starting from going back to that sexy shop and doing some shopping together.
- After spending a few more minutes discussing and making plans, they both get so excited that they are ready to go again, so they spend the night celebrating and making love.
—
So, with this I realised I really suck at writing headcanons, as expected. This ended up too long almost like a fanfiction or a summary of one. I’ll try to do better with Nath and Cas 🤔

Episode: Ouroboros
Ouroboros is a fitting title for this episode. Not because it has a snake-creature. Not because of the symbolism of unity or the cycle of life and death. No, in the sense that it's such a clear, contained example of how Dabbernatural is eating itself to death through the writers' absolute incompetence at telling a compelling, coherent story. Or perhaps it’s in the sense of being a never-ending circle of making the same exact mistake over again: Supernatural is the Winchesters' story; making them incompetent fools to highlight your nonentity OCs is always going to read badly to a large portion of your audience.
It starts out okay. The previously seems really overlong here and I do have to wonder if they think our memories of what’s previously happened are as shit as theirs. The episode itself, however, begins well enough with a mysterious cold open involving a MotW who has really creepy new powers. Okay, cool!
Except instead of actually being hunted by Sam and Dean, literally everybody is along on this fucking hunt. Remember when Sam and Dean were allowed to be competent enough to track and kill a MotW themselves, because the writers knew they were meant to be clever, resourceful, and good at their job? Best hunters in the world? LOL.
Now not only do they have to drag Castiel and Jack along, fucking Rowena has joined the Hunters R Us club. Like, I love Rowena, but COME ON. Which doesn't even address how later in the episode, Sam can't even do his own fucking research – they call it out to fucking Maggie! Then Sam & Dean and Jack & Cas ALL get their asses absolutely handed to them … by some random one off MotW that we're not told any reason to expect has major fighting skills. Unlike all the things they've beaten which literally did. COME THE FUCK ON.
What do the Winchesters actually get to accomplish in this episode of their own goddamn show other than exist onscreen to con us into watching the Dabbernatural Gary Stu drama hour?
Blah blah blah, interlude of characters reminding us about Dean having Michael in his head interspersed with oh no, poor sad beige woobie still has magic consumption. [Insert totes concerned hand-wringing here, or don't, because LOL, so over it.] The most charitable thing I can say about it is that presumably Dean talks to Castiel about the box plan again here because Castiel will actually go through with it, unlike Sam.
Also, I'm not a vet or any kind of medical professional, but when they needed to get some antivenom, my immediate thought was, “Wait, what kind?” I figured maybe I was wrong because surely the writers would do the bare minimum of research, but apparently not, as Wikipedia does seem to corroborate that “the specific antivenom needed depends on the species involved”. Pretty sure that their local vet's office doesn't have Gorgon antivenom. Even if Rowena’s magic is involved, if she can just make it magically the right thing, why on Earth would they actually even need any kind of antivenom in the first place? Or not at least talk about getting a specific kind so it doesn’t look like they’ve got no idea what they’re on about? As such, I can’t see this as anything but the writers yet again not bothering to put in the basic minimum of care to explain how this thing that obviously shouldn't work will now work for reasons.
I did genuinely like Sam and Rowena's playacting in the vet office, that was great! Even Jack getting turned into a dog to lift the non-magical magical cure-all antivenom was fun. As well as Rowena chiding Sam about how what they're doing with Jack is doing exactly what she would – as she was until recently a villain. (Although again, putting aside why, if Rowena is their fucking hunting buddy buddy now, why exactly they aren't telling her what's up with Jack. Seriously, why?) Unsurprising that what I think actually works briefly in this episode is the character interactions powered by the skill and charisma of the actors, not anything the writers are doing.
Which brings us back to what Dabb didn't learn from Wayward: making the Winchesters (and Cas) entirely incompetent and helpless to facilitate ludicrously endowed super!kids like Jack stealing the show is insulting enough when it happens with the Gorgon, but it is straight out infuriating as the end of the whole AU!Michael arc. Seriously, I do not get this fetish of his.
Before getting more into that, as an aside, does it matter if Cas can breathe? I don't mean that in a “Die, Cas, die!” way, either. I mean, he's literally an angel in a human suit, even if he's paralyzed by the thing's venom (which I'll accept that the creature can't see him but its venom still works on him because the body is more or less human {sort of, considering it's been turned into a specially constructed vessel made to break all the angel rules for reasons [to not have a supposed good guy holding a human soul permanently hostage and that whole dumb special-vessels-lol-what Lucifer interlude]}) does it really matter? Especially in that moment? Like, if he's angel enough that the monster can't see him, he should be angel enough that mundane damage to a vessel should be nothing more than an inconvenience. Castiel is exactly as human or angels as the writers need in at any given second.
Speaking of which - Jack freaking out over it is another instance where he's dumb as an infant or competent as a trained adult from second-to-fucking-second to facilitate what passes for a plot, because Dabb & Co. apparently got bored and decided they'd rather go back to another round of What's Wrong With Jack, You Should Totally Care! rather than actually write a coherent story around AU!Michael. This infant/adult thing comes up again during the conversation with Cas about humans ultimately dying where Jack suddenly doesn't get death. Even though we had that whole. long. thing. about Jack wanting to know about his mother and talking to that therapist and her parents about her and seeing her in heaven? Yet now we're back to LOL what is death?? Maybe angels or part angels are literally incapable of learning anything. It would explain a lot about both Jack and Cas in recent years.
Also, I take back the points I mentally rewarded at the beginning of the episode for actually involving a new monster taken from mythology. It was at this point when we see that Jack kept the snake that I recalled spoilers about what happens to it and I became suspicious that literally the only reason they went to the trouble was to give Jack a pet that wasn’t cuddly enough that the audience would turn on him if he does something to it. I don’t mind planning ahead, but when the monster hunt was such a manufactured clusterfuck of stupid and the ultimate purpose of it seems this transparent? Sigh.
Oh noes, what if Dean doesn't wake up!? Well, for one thing, he'd be spared continuing to exist in this shitty parody of the SPN universe, so, I'm kinda thinking that might actually be a win...
Speaking of the writers just railroading the characters in random directions to get wherever they want to go regardless? Cas's ability to heal is useless again, because of course it is. Somehow a physical head wound is complicated by archangel possession, because sure, why the fuck not? Remember when angel powers weren't a fucking joke, as useful as a knife without the blade? Honestly, I might even accept that another angel was unable to do anything to a human who was playing vessel to a different angel if this wasn’t just one more in a string of so. fucking. many. instances of angel powers transparently and ludicrously existing or not exactly where the “plot” decrees they do.
Likewise, Rowena, the totally most powerful witch ever? Shrug, she can do nothing. Except, it turns out, get handed an idiot ball to make this railroading keep going on the same dumb track. Welcome to the club, Rowena, enjoy being half as competent as ever you were (or less!) now that you're an ally. Again, vessel rules? What vessel rules? Any old archangel can just pop into any old person they want to, don'tchaknow? Not to mention how goddamn fucking stupid Rowena would have to be to let Michael in so he “doesn't harm anyone in the bunker”. Are you fucking kidding me? The only thing letting him possess her is going to do is give him immediate faster access inside the bunker without any chance to prepare for his attempting to kill all the people he definitely intends to kill. Not to mention that they turned Rowena from completely self-involved to brainlessly selfless in this episode, suddenly, because because as if nothing exists in-between. This literally happens because the show decided it was bored and uninterested in Michael after half-heartedly playing with the character for half a season so it chopped everyone's brains out, including their own, to make him go away. I just cannot see any other explanation for Rowena both being that dead stupid and conveniently being able to house Michael.
The only worthwhile thing in this episode is the good riddance to bad rubbish of all the AU!hunters in the bunker finally getting wiped out. That the show actually expects me to be in any way upset by a bunch of people who don't even fucking have names and just keep milling around in the background taking up space biting it? Aside, from, of course, another Dabbernatural-style cardboard sue like Maggie who went from not even knowing how to hold a weapon to being the goddamn leader in a handful of episodes? Presumably because the Winchesters are? Yeah, no.
Even though when he actually had his powers it wasn't a foregone conclusion that Jack could effectively take on Michael? Now that Jack doesn't have his powers, suddenly he can burn up his soul and just completely overpower Michael with the total McGuffiness of his existence for reasons. If doing that is so powerful, and we’re stuck with this retcon about divisible souls, why can’t any old angel just burn out their vessel’s soul to get super-powered magic? If the powers that any individual or item has have no logical consistency, and every new idea that pops into what passes for the writer’s brains is introduced as TEH MOST POWERFUL EVAH? No conflict over supernatural powers in this show can have any legitimate narrative weight. If the audience can’t adequately gauge the threat, it all becomes a muddle of random events that happen rather than a coherent story we can actually invest in caring about.
Look, I’m not saying that no Supernatural plot before the current era was resolved by McGuffins or random powers. The issue here is the general issue with their use in Dabb’s era. Jack doesn't have to work for it. He doesn't have to figure out some complicated way to boost his powers to make it work against the most powerful archangel. There’s no buildup for us to invest in. There’s no sense of the characters actually working at an obstacle and earning a victory. He's just suddenly handed this level of power to make it happen right now, at this arbitrary moment, because the show decided it was done with this arc now and could not be fucking bothered. It makes no sense with anything we’ve been shown about the characters' powers, it makes no sense for the story actually feeling like the characters are meaningfully accomplishing anything by their legitimate merits. It sure as fuck makes no sense for the lore. That whole thing with Billy's books they've been harping on and on about as TEH ONLY WAY? Which Rowena even calls back to this episode? Nah, nevermind, tossed out the fucking window without even a goddamn handwave.
Seriously, the Michael arc is not resolved here because the Winchesters outsmarted destiny again, or that they found some way to cleverly subvert it. It’s not even that they worked to find a solution and finally the work paid off by them coming across something suspiciously perfect. It’s that they waffled around for several episodes being dramatic and making literally no progress until Dabb & Co. arbitrarily and literally handed the power to end the arc to their pet joke fake!Winchester “son” because they did not care. And yet they expect us in the audience to continue to care, even though I can not think of any other development in any other professional media I have ever consumed that was as unsatisfying and honestly infuriating as this pile of haphazard bullshit.

My 14x17 Opinion
Game Night
This was the first new episode since “The Announcement” and I have to say I was putting off writing it. I usually post these the day after, but I procrastinated so it’s a bit late. So forgive my butt-hurt tardiness and let's have at it.
I enjoyed this episode, though it wasn't without some issues. I must say that I was pleased that it wasn't as Sam-lite as I thought it would be from the promo pics, trailer, and knowing Jared didn't work a lot that week, I will always want for more Sam in an episode, but all his parts were necessary and high quality in this one, so I'm not angry at all.
We start the episode with Donatello making cookies, singing Raindrops are Fallin’ on my Head, which made me smile. It made me think of Butch Cassiday and The Sundance Kid and I love that movie, and if J2 ever want to play the leads in a remake, I would be willing to pay for it myself!
Donny gets interrupted by the door, and we know this is a problem because its the first 5 minutes of SPN, let's be honest. As soon as I see the bad guy’s wedding ring, I think “Shit... here comes Nick”. I thought he was gonna kill him and I'm glad he didn't. I like Donny, he looks like my dad. 😊
Back at the Bunker, the fam is getting ready for “Winchester Game Night” and Dean is playing Mouse Trap, and having no luck getting it to work. I had that game as a kid too and was never able to get it to work either, but it was fun putting it together! I did think it was a little sad but fitting, that Dean would have played that game as a 4 yr old, but leave it to John and Mary to give Dean a game made for older kids, that never worked out the way it was supposed to and had too many small parts he could choke on. (the irony is not lost on me)
Mary and Jack are in the kitchen. I could literally almost smell the Jiffy Pop popcorn. A Saturday night staple at my house growing up (any of you out there ever taste that greasy salt left on the sides of the foil pan? Good stuff!) and Mary starts in with the questions for Jack. I got a kick out of him telling her its annoying, and her face after. It’s ok Mary, he’s fine, he’s just a teenager now. Something I guess she never got to experience from the adult side.
Sam is out getting pizza, and all the times they’ve had pizza, I never really saw what Sam likes on his. Apparently both he and Dean like lots of pepperoni. Good choice boys! The joy is short-lived (of course) by Donatello’s call, and Dean and Mary go off to help. I loved Sam sitting there researching. I have always loved his look of interest and concentration during these times. Smart!Sam moment #1 he figures out the language is ancient Hebrew, #2 he has the moment of realization that he knows it’s from the Bible, and knows what chapter and verse. (demerits for the writers though for not knowing Peter is in the New Testament and is in Ancient Greek, not Hebrew, but kudos for Sam/Jared for at least knowing the book is located near the back of The Bible)
Mom and Dean in the car. Now we have the talk about how wrong she knows she’s been but how appreciative she is to have this time with him and Sam. Uhoh... sounds like lines typically given to a character who is soon to be killed off? Hmmm we’ll see. Soon they arrive at Donny’s to find Nick. He says he's poisoned Donny and to save him, they have to help him. He wants to talk.
Back at the bunker, violent rage!Sam awaits!! GOD that gave me tingles in the best way! I loved Dean leading Nick down the hall in cuffs, in slow motion as if leading him to his execution, and Sam standing there with his chest puffed out like a friggin’ bulldozer, and the snarl and slam attack against the wall!! (hand me that towel, please??) Dean backs Sam off, lots of brother touching going on, but we need intel, we can't kill him yet.
Now Sam is in self-loathing mode.... he thinks everything is his fault. So many people dying because of him. This is gonna be a big issue soon, I promise. Mom talks Sam off the self-deprecating ledge and tells him he gave Nick another chance because he’s a good man and that's why she’s so proud of him. Sam softens up into the sweetest “aww shucks ma” smile and I want to hug him💕 also, still lines are being spoken by mom that are synonymous with being killed off.
Now, I procrastinated talking about Cas and Anael because the whole thing was boring. I'm not a wife hater but at least make her necessary if you’re going to cast her. I was ok about her role as Sister Jo for Devil’s Bargain but she hasn't been necessary since. Cas wasn't even necessary in this episode. We knew he was hiding the fact that Jack killed the snake, and there are probably 1000 other ways they could have reminded us that the Samulet is still around and maybe they can use it, than for him to find a similar one in the thrift shop or whatever that place was. I dug Methuzula though, he was the oldest dude in the Bible. He wasn’t an angel, for any of you worried about him liking lasagna or why he couldn't just smite Cas... its because he's HUMAN just extremely old.
On to more interesting things.
Nick wants to talk to Jack. I was not pleased with Nick referring to Jack as his son. Im not 100% convinced that the writer (and all involved really) remembered that Jack isnt Nick’s son, but added that as a note of empathy Nick has for Lucifer, you’d THINK someone, particularly Jack would say “Im not your son” ?? but anyway, he gives intel to Jack and also gets his blood (dun dun dunnnn)
Sam is again a smarty pants and knows the antidote for Thalium is Prussian Blue (makes note) and figures he can hack the live feed (brains are so sexy) I also love that Sam’s word is the go word. So many more decisions are made because Sam thinks its the best option than he's ever given for in the fandom. So Sam and Dean take Nick with them to find Donny.
I really love the broments in this part. Dean tells Nick if he tries anything funny, Sam will shoot him. “And if anything happens to me....” “Sam will shoot me” “To start!” says Sam... because if he hurts Dean, Sam isnt letting him off that easy. But in true SPN form, as soon as Sam and Dean are separated, shit goes south.
Mom calls Sam and lets him know Donny was shot up with Angel grace, as Jack figured out, Nick was playing them. Now the fight between Sam and Nick ensues! Nick tells Sam why he used Donatello, which was to bring Lucifer back, “You can't, he’s dead he’s in the Empty” Sam says but this show’s self-awareness gets me sometimes lol Nick’s like “Cmon Sam you know no one stays dead anymore” and Sam starts kicking his ass.
Now, I have already seen a million of you whine and complain that Sam didn’t kill Nick. It’s almost as though some of you have never met Sam Winchester. Of course Sam could have killed Nick, and most of us wish he did, but Sam has stopped himself from killing humans before. He stopped himself with Jake in AHBL and also with Toni in 12x01. Unfortunately it always bites him in the ass. Could it be that Sam thinks if he can kill a human with his bare hands that he’s a monster? This isn’t bad writing folks, this is Sam’s character.
Nick takes advantage of Sam’s hesitation and starts nailing him with a rock. Spewing crap about Sam being Lucifer’s Perfect vessel and such.... this can only mean that issue will be coming up soon! Sam gets in the car and starts laying on the horn for Dean, calling out to him... Dean hears Sam is in trouble, enough playing around here time to kill some demons.
When he gets to Sam. he sees he’s badly injured. Sam can hardly hold on to consciousness, protective!dean kicks in! Apply preasure to the blled, call 911, call mom. Now check for brain damage and play a counting game with Sam This hurt my feels so much, it made it feel so much more serious than all the other head injuries he’s sustained. Dean and his caring big brother smile and light hearted speech so Sam doesnt panic just kills me in the best way!! Sam tries to count with him a little and breaks into “You always put me first... your whole life” and manages to muster a little smile. Dean knows Sam believes he’s checking out, and you see the fear all over Dean’s face as Sam fades away. (OMG these 2!! Every freakin time!!)
Meanwhile, Mary and Jack found Nick and he has summoned Lucifer and just about to take him in again (Lucifer looked pretty cool,,, gotta say) and Jack zaps Lucifer back into the rift (no not forever guys... cmon) and starts torturing Nick. Mary kinda flips out telling Jack to stop. He’s contorting his hand, burning him from the inside out... not simply killijng him. Mary is full on worried now. Jack stops and Nick is laying on the floor. Mary is in shock and tells Jack to go help Sam, He heals him and Dean cant even hide his relief as he turns away to catch his breath.
Now Jack returns to Mary who is more than worried about how Jack was torturing Nick. We know the Winchesters dont mind killing, but draw the line at torture. However, Mary stupidly poked the bear. She could have just kept herself and Jack calm and talked to the boys later, but she poked and poked till Jack freaked out. Though I am wondering if Jack was also hearing Lucifer when he was shouting “Leave me alone!!” But in any regard, he looked at Mary and something happened. Fade to black.
Aside from the Cas/Anael part, I really enjoyed this episode. A few issues yes, but it hit most of the marks needed for me to enjoy an episode. Ive already rewatched it twice and will again and again.
On a scale of Bloodlines to Lebanon, I give this a strong 7.5 without the Cas/Anael bit it would have been an easy 8.

SPN Episode 14 - The Raid - Running Annotations
So much to unpack tonight! Let’s get started... (beware, obviously spoilers abound): -In the “Then” segment, holy cow, the boys are such babies! Look at how cute they aaaaare <3 -I love watching the boys in this scene--both reacting in their own ways, but both equally interesting to watch. -”Cas almost died!”--That’s right Dean! STAND UP FOR YOUR HUSBAND! -Oh, my heart...you can just see Dean rebuilding those walls brick by fucking brick. Someone he loves has broken his trust...again...*sob* -”I watch him die, every night--” “Good.” - COLD, DEAN. Oh the feels! Such painful, delicious feels. -The BMoL compound has a very Alien feel to it. Sterile. Claustrophobic. I’m sure that’s on purpose. -”I’m doing this for you!”--Mary...but also Cas (who did bad things for Dean for a good reason). Parallellllllllllls! -Dean thinks his mom wants to get away from them! God, the pain on his face... -Dean desperately still wants to cling to his image of his mom. Dean, sweetie...you have to...you have to let go... -”You are not a child!” “I never was.”--GGGGGNNNNGGHHHHH! This...this broke me. The tears are literally pouring out of a cavity in my chest where my heart used to be. Kill me, please. It’d be a kindness T_T -”Yeah, Mary, it is.”--He--he...he called her Mary. Oh. Oh my God. Just...oh my God... -Holy SHIT and he threw her out...and the tears in his eyes...GOD...*openly weeping* Moving along from that first six minutes, which just about fucking killed me... -”But that’s not your call, is it? Or mine?”--WHO ARE THE MYSTERY MEN WHO HEAD THE BMOL?! -Oh, Sammy...honey...he’s so sad about Mary and Dean doesn’t wanna talk... -Hello Dean’s Red Shirt of Poor Decisions! What bad life choices will Dean make today? :D -”I need to hit something, now...”--liiiiike Cas? :D! (I’ll see myself out...) -Poor Sam. I definitely feel his pain--I’ve been in that position of mediator between family members so many times, and it’s always so awful. -”I chose this life” Aww, Sam, look at you and your character development! -So, the barbed wire fence rolling back really reminds me of a fucking concentration camp, and considering I feel like the BMOL are okay with monster genocide, it’s making me even more uncomfortable (in a way that I think it’s meant to?) -Dean calling “Sammy” and then “Lucy” made me jump. Are we trying to reestablish the Lucifer thing here? Or is it just an homage? Either way...I have unhappy feels about that choice. -HAH, goodbrother!Sam emptied the alcohol. Serves you right, Dean, trying to regress to your old habits >.> -Did Dean really just let Ketch in for a bottle of alcohol? Oh, he is in a much worse place than I thought... -”We treat them all like terrorists”--GEE ARE WE LAYING THE SYMBOLISM ON THICK ENOUGH FOR YOU YET? -Oh, the sight of Rick Worth--it’s been far too long! He still looks so classy! -Scotch whiskey...is it too far of a stretch that we ought to associate this with Scotland and Crowley, and therefore crossroads demons and bad deals and selling the soul? Because that’s the vibe I’m getting here. -Still calling her “Mary.” Poor Dean, he’s so hurt... -”You’re a killer, Dean Winchester”--First Rowena, now Ketch. We’ve heard this before, other people trying to label Dean as a killer, even though that clearly bothers him. I feel a character arc (re)surfacing... -And there’s Dean making his deal with the devil (again). Another parallel to early seasons? Check. -Rufus! Gone but never forgotten :( -Aww, Sam is gonna end up guilted into this because he doesn’t want the other hunter to die...fucking Brits. -Interesting Cas parallel with Ketch here, complete with flirtation. The difference here seems to be that Dean is not biting on the flirting front. -OH SHIT VAMPIRE COUNTERSTRIKE! -Oh, Ketch does the torture thing. Fun. And of course, here is where it goes too far for Dean. Memories of Hell, much? -Remember how I said earlier that the BMOL compound felt like the ship in Alien? Whelp, considering I think everyone but Sam, Mary, and Mitch are about to die from a stealth attack by vampires, I think it now feels that way even more so. -The Brits hide from the vamps, Sam and Mary on the offensive. Not surprising... -”He’s been there for at least a decade” “WRONG!”--Lol, the Brits and their Fake News. -The Brits all flinching when Mary beheads the vampire...I’m getting a feeling it’s going to be like that one Star Trek episode where people voluntarily die painlessly to simulate their war rather than have a terrible, bloody war. The Brits have to learn that hunting should be messy and awful because it reminds you of how much the taking of a life should be avoided if possible (a major theme this season, especially regarding the Luci-baby). -HELLO COLT, MY OLD FRIEND. I DID NOT EXPECT TO SEE YOU SO SOON, BUT YAY. -Lol, Sam is all “dude, I forgot we even dropped this ten years ago.” Good job, boys. Good. Job. -When Mary mentions stealing it from Ramiel and all the pieces from 12.12 fall into place...how they all almost died...oh God, the depths of the betrayal! Look at his poor, kicked-puppy face! Sammy’s walls are breaking. He knows that Mary not only is working with the BMoL, but USED he and Dean and Cas for a selfish reason. Oh man, I can’t wait for Dean to find out... -BEHOLD MOOSE, HOLDER OF DOORS! -Pierce, I saw you bein’ creepy over there. Don’t think I didn’t see you. -”...because it’s...England.” Lol, Alpha Vampire is clearly not a fan. -”It is time you get off my lawn!” HAH! For some reason, this line fucking tickled me. The Alpha Vampire as a grouchy old man... -That AVD seems kinda useless if you can break it just by stepping on it o_O -Sam’s speech: “Blah blah yin and yang blah blah light and darkness blah blah bring balance to the force...” -Awww...I’m sad that’s it for the Alpha Vampire...I’d have loved to see more of him :( But hooray for the Colt being back in action?! -It’s interesting watching Mick and Ketch parallel the Winchester family in different incarnations--like how here they seem to parallel Sam and Dean and their different ideas and methods concerning hunting. I feel like there is a wealth of meta to be written on this. -LOL SAM, YOU DIDN’T KNOW HE CAME FOR MARY, YOU DUMMY. (Or was he? Maybe he just wanted Dean to make it clear to Mary that he still cares about her...) -Look! Look! Dean is communicating his feelings! CHARACTER GROWTH! -He called her “Mom” again *^.^* -SHE CAN MAKE HER OWN CHOICES EVEN IF HE DOESN’T LIKE THEM. GOOD LORD THERE IS SO MUCH GROWTH IN HERE I FEEL LIKE I’M IN A HUMAN GREENHOUSE! -Ooh, interesting reversal. Sam and Mary saying that they’re glad Pierce will be tortured (using Dean’s words from earlier--”good”), but when it comes down to it, that actually makes Dean uncomfortable! Look at him shuffling around! Dean is a lot of talk when it comes to being cold, but deep down, he is the most kind and humane of them all. Someone should write some meta about this bit! -Oooh, after Sam’s conversation with Mick...the framing of that shot, of Sam and Mary against Dean...I don’t think Dean’s going to be an easy convert on this BMoL thing. I wonder...will it be Dean against Sam and his mother? Will Cas be on his side? Gah, SO MUCH TO UNPACK @_@ Overall Thoughts: This episode was a fucking breath of fresh air after last week. I really enjoyed it and thought it showed such significant character growth for Sam and Dean. And the opening scene with the boys and Mary was one of the most emotional this season! I loved every second of that first six minutes. I’m still not 100% sure where this BMoL plot is going, and I don’t know that I like how the Winchesters are slowly getting on board with it. On one hand, this could be the route to a happy ending for them. On the other, it could come back to bite them in the ass in a BIG way. Whatever happens, though, at this point, I feel I trust Dabb to do it well. I’m so thrilled with the back half of this season (ignoring last week’s episode), I seriously could do this for another twelve seasons. But for now? I guess I’ll settle for getting Cas back next week!
