So, consider!

Rodimus sparking Getaway (idk maybe it was consented hate fucking or Getaway got sparked when everyone thought he was a decent guy, idk). ANYWAY! Getaway ends up with a little sparkling speedster. And you expect Getaway to be like a shitty maybe manipulative parent? Nah, Getaway’s actually a really decent carrier. Yeah he probs expects his kid to end up a prime so there is so pressure, but also like is probably gentler when parenting his kid bc well, he tech didnt have a childhood being MTO soo may as well give his kid one!

Not saying he was tamed with the sparking btw. Its still Getaway lol. He probably would try use the fact he is a carrier or the fact the Lost Light on board to manipulate people into listening to him or get ppl to his side. Probably also ends up teaching his kid how to trick people and he is just impressed and proud while Rodimus is just SLOWLY connecting the dots.

Or Getaway kicks him off the ship via mutiny and goes “Oh btw hard your kid, see yaaaa~”

This is why Getaway is interesting

I vote this started when people still thought Getaway was a good person (or simply didn't think much of him at all)

Getaway still being Getaway but also a (relatively) good parent is intriguing but I bet has so many fun moments to it

He would teach that kid so many tricks, whether it's for escapologist reasons or more mean reasons

On one hand, I find the idea that it hasn't quite clicked for Rodimus yet (extra points if this is a universe where kindled mecha don't look exactly like a mix of their parents) (also makes some sense because they ARE on a massive ship with a lot of people on it) funnier than it should be

... but now I'm thinking about Getaway's plan with Tailgate, how that failed, Getaway's (imo) fucked up punishment, and that very specific mutiny (unless it was one of Getaway's other mutiny plans that did work?)

Because I'm imagining what happens to the kid when everyone gets Really Mad at their carrier and their carrier disappears? What's it like when their carrier comes back, but things are very different on the ship now?

I'm starting to get angst ideas regarding how this might fit with some of the events that typically happen in MTMTE and LL in regards to Getaway.
