This turned a bit angsty and I might be exposing my own insecurities a little but with this one but hey it’s not like I’ll ever meet anyone on here in real life
Anyway I’ll be posting the Dizzie fic as soon as the poll results come in next week so keep that in mind
Hope you enjoyed and have a great dayy!!
——————————
“Of course I’m a royal! My mum is a queen in her own right!” Apple blinked at Blondie as the girl animatedly looked at the princess.
“Right…. so like what kingdom does she rule?” Blondie felt panic rise inside her as Apple cocked her head to the side, staring at her in wonder.
“Oh you know… the one with the forest and umm the animals.” The silence that passed between them could be cut with a knife from the tension.
Blondie wished for nothing more than the ground to swallow her whole. Who was she fooling? Why would Apple White of all people actually believe that the village her mother ruled over was a kingdom.
It was at times like this that she regretted opening her mouth and saying anything at all. But yet she craved for that validation and attention.
From across the hall Cupid watched in second hand embarrassment as neither girls looked at each other, standing in silence as if waiting for something to happen.
She could hear snippets of their conversation earlier and as she did she sighed heavily. Why couldn’t Blondie she her true value?
Why did it matter if she was a royal or not? It all just a fancy title to Cupid. She couldn’t understand why it brought significance. Maybe she could ask Cleo De Nile when she got back to monster high in a few days.
For now, she had to do something to break that tension.
“Blondie!”
Both girls whipped around as Cupid ran up to them, a bright smile on her face as she wrapped her arm around Blondies shoulders.
“Oh Cupid! Great to see you!” Apple rocked on her heels as she looked around for an escape. Thankfully Cupid provided the just right one as she started to pull Blondie away.
“I hope you won’t mind if I steal Blondie for a sec. I need some… mirrorcast advice.”
“Oh no! Take her she’s all yours!”
Apple gracefully ran off without a second thought leaving the two girls to sigh in relief. “That was painful to watch.”
Blondie groaned into her hands as she started to walk away. “Don’t mention it!” Cupid felt a little sad for the girl but she really had to understand her value.
“Why are you so determined to prove your royalty? It’s just a title.”
Blondie stopped in her tracks as she gave a snappy glare to Cupid. What would she know about her struggles?
“Easy for you to say. Aren’t you a goddess?”
When Cupid didn’t reply Blondie muttered a ‘I knew it’ before she walked of her mood totally not just right. In fact, nothing seemed to be just right!
“Blondie wait! I only meant that your value shouldn’t rely on a title.” That seemed to get her attention enough to listen.
“Blondie… you are beautiful, helpful, supporting, compassionate. You are all that and more without some over glorified title. So why do you think being labeled ‘royal’ is going to change anything?”
Cupid didn’t know it, but the words hit Blondie harder than she expected. All her life she grew up not quite with the rebels and not quite with the royals.
She was always at the edge of things for when they needed her. The royal team need an extra hide and seek player? Ask Blondie. The rebels need a watch out? Ask Blondie.
But when it came to actually being part of the group and being wanted and not needed Blondie found she was stuck in the middle.
And maybe, just maybe if that over glorified title came over her head the royals might actually just let her be in their group without needing her.
Just wanting her to be there.
“Because… maybe I’ll be wanted for once. Maybe I’ll be the first choice, someone’s just right! I won’t be the backup or the replacement.”
Cupid felt her heart stir in a way that only one other person she knew off could make it stir. Dexter. But he wasn’t here, and her heart was beating for the sad girl before her.
Beating in a way that it hadn’t even beaten for Dexter.
She reached over tentatively, grabbing her hands and trapping them between hers as she grazed deeply into her eyes.
“You’re my just right Blondie. My first choice and number one. I want you… and I want to be there for you. I value our relationship more than any title.”
Blondie was at a loss of words. Why was her heart beating like this? Like it was just right. Like this girl in front of her was just right.
“And if royals like Apple can’t see that, then they aren’t worth your time or effort. You shouldn’t suddenly be wanted because of a fancy title, you should be wanted for who you are. Just like I do.”
Warmth flowed through Blondie as she gazed at Cupid with a dumbfounded expression. Was this what it was like to be wanted and not needed?

Did anyone catch on to the monster high reference?? I like to sprinkle little Easter eggs here and there sometimes
Anyway currently supposed to be studying for my exams that are in a week but instead I’m shopping for my Halloween party outfit for tomorrow
Hope you enjoyed and have a great dayy!!

I've said this in a post somewhere, but I think don't think that expected value actually works as a formalization of the intuitive idea of "rationally expected payoff". Like, let's say that a guy comes up to you and offers you a bet: flip a coin with a 1/10 probability of coming up heads and a 9/10 probability of coming up tails. If it lands on heads, he gives you ten dollars. If it lands on tails, you give him one dollar. The expected payoff is 10$*1/10 - 1$*9/10 = $1 - $.9 = ten cents. So you should take the bet! But actually, it would be irrational in the intuitive sense to expect this bet to turn out in your favor: the most likely outcome by a large margin is that you will simply loose a dollar! I personally would not take this bet, as what I would rationally expect to happen is that I'll loose money.
What the expected value is saying is that if you were given this same bet many times, then in the limit you would earn ten cents per bet. So if the same guy comes up to me and says "hey, I'll let you repeat this bet 100 times", then I would totally do it—and I could rationally expect to make money. But if he's like "you only get to try this once, then I'm leaving!" I don't think it's a rational choice for me to take the bet; I'd effectively just be handing him a dollar.
Probably you've considered this argument before and I'm just repeating stuff. Well whatever.
Anyway I'm not sure what a good formalization of "rationally expected payoff" is, but I don't think it's expected value.
The problem is that the marginal value of a dollar decreases very quickly and you cannot interpret the utility of money as just whatever corresponds to the numbers after the unit of caring $. This is a mundane point often elided in discussion by actual professional economists, whom one might have hoped to know better if one had forgotten much of their professional raisin detour is to sophistically justify the obscene riches of their capitalist masters both to the masters themselves and to us their benighted class war cannon fodder
The stuff about conservation of expected evidence tho isn’t anything to do especially with maximising expected utility. It is (I think roughly) that if ones (prior) rational credence in p is X, one should expect ones (posterior) rational credence to be X, i.e. E(E(X) = E(X) where X is 1 where p is true at 0 where p is false. This is an attempt (in a style one quickly grows accustomed to over the course of the sequences) to pass off as a trivial truth in the theory of probability a substantive falsehood in normative formal epistemology, by paying insufficient heed to the scope of the relevant operators. The Williamson refrances should explain this better than I am at the present moment in a position to (am tired and dumb and wanna play viddy games)

NONA THE NINTH SPOILORS!!!!
Am I the only one who saw a possible Frankinstine parallel in John's chapters erly on?
I know Nona the Ninth is full of Biblical refrances, but I swear some of the erly John POV chapters reminded me so much of Victor Frankinstine, since there was talk that no one wanted to work with him as well as the obvious parallels of messing around with the dead to reanimated them. Also John going a bit nuts (or at least everyone thinking he was on somthing) just reminded me of Victor Frankinstines deranged behaviour as well as John's habit of self pity and blaming everyone else. Just read very simuler to Frankinstine.
And I mean, By reanimating the dead, that basicly makes Viktor Frankinstine a Necromancer right?
Also in Frankinstine the monsters eyes are prefured to as a "dull Yellow" and John's eyes turned gold.....so....is John just Victor Frankinstine? (I could be compleatly wrong tho lmao)

Human return au little ideas
humans
“The only thing they fear is you” plays when steven fights somebody, only him, Henry, and Michael can hear it though.
Michael thinks Vanessa is crushing on Freddy... for whatever reason, so he trys to play the wingman, and get them alone as often as he can. Freddy knows about vanessa crush, well, it’s more of her being slightly attracted to mike, but the bear keeps telling her to ask him out
Henry is the grand father figure to gregory, as he is the oldest out of the group. he also sees michael as a son, and steven as a brother.
Michael and gregory plan to burn the pizza plex. Henry knows but won’t do shit about it.
stevens axe is named peter(you’ll know if you get the refrance ;)
Vanny is a doubleganger of Vanessa, their twins. She fears steven for, very obvious reasons.
Steven may be a sociopath.
Michael, henry, and gregory have PTSD.
animatronics
there might be a love triangle with freddy, roxy, and chica(this may be taken out later)
monty didn’t kill bonnie, the rabbit fell of the catwalks chating to monty(got that idea from a comic, don’t remeber the name tho)
Foxy is alive, and so is bonnie, their just deep underground.
buff helpy may be hiding around.... you can never know
same with breadbear.
