you were ai’s lover, you met her soon after she gave her birth to aqua and ruby.

and so today would be the first time you’re spending halloween with them.

you were excited so you went all out with your costume, you were still young after all.

meeting up with ai and her children at her place, the four of you went off trick-or-treating. ruby and ai were the most enthusiastic of the group, practically running from house to house. while you and aqua were more chill although you were impressed by how mature aqua seemed to be despite his young age.

“y/n! y/n!” ai called out to you grabbing your hand, “let’s go to this house next!”

with a fond smile, you ruffle her hair.

this time you actually went up with her to the house and before knocking on the door, you and her noticed the bowl of candy in front of the door with the classic sign stating “please only take one.” knowing your lover so well, you knew she wouldn’t listen to it. so as ai and ruby were starting to take all of the candy from the bowl, you playfully hugged ai from behind pulling her away while saying, “leave some candy for the kids!”

In return Sarina glared at y/n, “I can try though! I’m getting better promise!” She replied pumping one of her fists into the air.

Y/n gazed towards her trembling legs in worry, “You really should overwork yourself” she sighed once again in disbelief walking forward to hold the girl up right.

“B-but I didn’t even fall this time! I could go on for longer” she interjected, “Sarina your body clearly can’t handle this your legs are giving out!” She pointed walking her to her room.

“Sense I would’ve understood” she pouted, “How about I get you pudding would that make you feel better?” The woman tried lightening up the mood after placing the girl in her bed.

“Really! You’d do that for me?” She questioned beaming this time, “Of course just don’t move out of your room I’ll call goro to stay with you” The woman replied standing up before grabbing her phone to dial her husbands number.

“He should arrive soon okay? I’ll be back before you know it!” She winked with a smile before leaving the room.

After they were finished, your husband practically leaped out of his chair and went into a frantic panic, “Y/n you saw her right! That’s Ai right right?” He questioned as if he was out of his mind.

“Mhm that is now here’s your drink I’m going to go have my lunch break” she muttered leaving the room. “Hello!” The purple head greeted from the side, “Oh Ai is something wrong” y/n questioned the girl.

“No I was just wondering..” she fidgeted with her arms for a while, “I figured out your married to goro sense I correct?” She hesitated, “yes I am!” She answered.

“And sense the two of you are married and probably have a kid or two was your pregnancy difficult?” She questioned smiling.

For a minute or two there was silence, y/n for the first time in a while was speechless, “Ai.. I’m really sorry but I don’t have any kids” she replied awkwardly.

The idols face quickly turned red, “I’m sorry for assuming!!” She apologized, “It’s okay..” Y/n stared into space, “How long have you and sensei been married?” She questioned.

“2 years” she muttered, “Oooohhh” the 16 year old said.

After a day or two, Ai seemed to adapt to the atmosphere quickly often hanging around you or your husband.

“Goro! I’m going to store need anything?” Y/n hummed, “Soda” he mumbled loud enough for her to hear, “typical.” She thought walking off.

After 5 minutes or so she exited the store with a bag of food.

“Excuse me miss” Someone called out to her she turned her head towards the voice, meeting a young man who’s features weren’t seen.

“Yes?” She questioned in confusion, “do you know where the hospital is?” He questioned, “Ah yes it just around the corner” she pointed.

“I’m bad with directions..can you lead me there?” He questioned once more, for a minute the woman hesitated, it was night time there wasn’t anyone around only the two of them.

“S-sure” she replied a drop of sweat falling down her face, Y/n lead the mysterious man to the hospital.

It didn’t take long for you to find out you were reincarnated, it took you a few weeks as your mind couldn’t concentrate and you’d fall asleep whenever you’d open your eyes. But you managed.

The two siblings stared at y/n as if she was an alien. Ruby quickly spoke up stepping forward with a smile.

“hellooo, what’s your name? Your hairs really pretty” she pointed out shaking the girls hand aggressively.

Y/n answered quickly, Rubys aggressive hand shake turns into somewhat of a hug, “I’m ruby” she announced her eyes drifting to her brother before pointing at him.

“That’s my brother..his name is aquamarine..but you can call him aqua” she said her tone somehow lowering her excitement.

There was an awkward silence as you and ruby stared at the boy waiting for him to speak, “Anyway!, y/n isn’t my mama so cool!!” Ruby gushed.

The conversation soon faded as the girl ran towards her mom once she was able to.

"Your sister really likes your mom, huh?" Y/n tried to strike up a conversation with the blonde-haired boy.

"I guess so," he responded, staring at the girl. "Do you always look like this?" he questioned in a condescending way.

"What do you mean?" she asked, nervousness seeping in. "Do you always look like you're hiding something you don't want anyone to know about?" he questioned once more, making his question clear.

She didn't answer, only staring straight ahead. "Even if I'm hiding anything, it doesn't matter, does it?" she replied. "You remind me of someone I used to talk to," he confessed. "You do too," she responded.

"Ruby, Aqua," the teenager called out to her two children, her hand reaching for the glass.

"I love you," she cried. "Those words were definitely not lies," she said weakly, tears flooding her eyes.

And with that, Idol Hoshino Ai was declared dead, leaving her two children, whom the world didn't know about, behind.

"Aqua, Ruby!" The girl waved her hands in the air as she saw the twins entering through the school gate.

At the sound of her voice, Ruby could swear that her brother was walking faster now. "Don't attract attention," he said, dragging the girl with him.

Ruby moved her feet to catch up to her brother. "Hey Y/N! I recently got scouted to be an idol!" she spoke proudly.

"So that means you can become an actress like our promise, remember?" Ruby added. A few years ago, Ruby and Y/N had promised each other that if Ruby ever became an idol, she'd either become one too or become an actress.

"Yeah, I remember. Don't worry, I won't ever forget it...I have good memorization skills," she winked, waving goodbye as she entered her classroom with Aqua.

The boy didn't say much, aside from his face as he heard his sister speak about becoming an idol.

As Aqua had promised himself, that Ruby would never become an idol till he died, he'd made the promise that you'd never become one either.

WAKING UP in a body that wasn't your own wasn't something you enjoyed.

It felt like you were in bed. The next, sitting on the sidewalk with keys that didn't look like your own hanging on your wrist.

The feeling of the metal was cold and woke you from your thoughts.

Your skin felt like a rubber suit, or painted on... The sensation filled you with fear, so you did what any reasonable person would do.

You screamed in terror, jumping up in down while patting your skin and clothes on your back.

It was some work uniform that you had never seen in your entire life?!

While flailing about, you stop when people shot you weird looks. Judgment was very present in passer-buyers eyes. You shoot a nasty gaze right back at them, before turning around and seeing your reflection through a shop glass window.

It was you!

But, not exactly...

Your eyes were big and sparkly, hair was perfect, even after your panic attack. The clothes you wore were only slightly ruffled and a bag that you didn't own, hangs from your shoulder. T

So you threw up on the concrete. You almost choked on your puke because you wanted to laugh at the shocked and horrified people that saw you spilling out chunks of black and purple.

The boy was smaller than you, with short choppy hair and big yellow eyes. That's not a normal eye color, but they looked too real to be contacts.

You want to go home. Or to the godamn new home, your doppelgangers body had just bought!

Damn, now you felt like a ass.

Using all the energy you had left in your system. You hold the container close to your chest.

A friendly smile on your face as you walk over to over clothed man.

The door your neighbor who was standing in front of the door opens.

You're starving. You'd forgotten to eat breakfast that morning. You wandered through the streets of Tokyo, constantly checking the map on your phone for fast food restaurants within a five minutes walking distance.

You find a McDonald's, not too busy, since it's after the lunch rush hour. You order a meal for yourself, and sit down while you wait for your food.

You look up when you see the door open. A woman walks in, two children holding her hands. The woman looked around the same age as you, eighteen or nineteen. Were the two kids hers? You didn't think so. She looked too young to be their mother.

"You two go play in the playland while Mama orders food, okay?"

"Okay!" They both said, the girl more enthusiastic than the boy.

The toddlers skittered off to the play place, while the woman ordered her food. You catch a glimpse of her eyes. You could've sworn you'd seen them before. They were hidden behind sunglasses, despite it being a cloudy day.

You continue to stare at her, almost entranced by the way she moved. She had a grace to her step that reminded you of someone you had seen on TV once, though you couldn't put your finger on it.

They call you for your order, and you run to get it, starving as you were. You feel yourself collide with the woman, her sunglasses getting knocked off.

"I'm sorry," you say. You bend down to pick up her sunglasses. Your hands touch, and you catch a full glimpse of her eyes.

Now you recognize her. Ai, formerly of B-Komachi. She had just held her graduation concert a few months ago. She now had a blossoming career as a solo singer and voice actor. You weren't really one to keep up with idol culture, but even you knew about her.

What was she doing in a random McDonald's with two children? Were they her children? That didn't make sense. As far as you knew, idols were discouraged from dating, much less getting pregnant. And you could rule out the idea of them being adopted, since they looked so much like her.

"You've been staring at me for a while," she said. You snap out of your spiraling thoughts, looking back up at her. She gives you a cheeky smile, putting her glasses back on.

"Ai?" You say, in utter disbelief.

"Oh, you recognize me?" She asked. "Darn, I guess I need a better disguise."

You grab your food, returning to your seat. She follows you back, sitting down next to you.

"I thought coming after rush hour would keep me from getting recognized, but I guess I was wrong," she said.

You both turn your heads when you hear someone pounding on the plexiglass that separated the playland from the restaurant. There was one of Ai's kids, the girl in a pink dress, slamming her fist on the glass to try and get her mother's attention. Ai waved back

"Mama! Aqua's drowning in the ball pit!"

You have to suppress a laugh, partly from the sheer hilarity of a three year old thinking that her brother was drowning in a ball pit that was three feet deep at most, but also from the name Aqua.

"Sorry, I have to help my son," she says. She runs towards the play place, throwing open the door. You allow yourself a small chuckle.

She came back a few minutes later, carrying her son. He bore a striking resemblance to his mother, even at such a young age. He was scowling at you.

"I s'pose I should formally introduce myself," she says, holding out her hand. "I'm Ai."

"I know," you say. "And I'm _____"

She smiles, shaking your hand.

"Are you a fan?" she asks.

"Not quite," you say. "But it's nice to meet you."

You heard the sound of the girl running up to her mother. She practically slammed into Ai.

"A handshake costs ten thousand yen!" she says, holding out her hand. "Pay up."

"Ruby, they don't have to pay for a handshake," Ai says, scooping up her daughter in her arms.

"But-"

"Ruby, quit it," Aqua says.

"Are they really your kids?"

"Yes," Ai says. "But it's a secret."

She holds her finger to her lips, smiling.

She turns her head when her name is called. She goes to grab her food, bringing it back to the table.

"Do you two need high chairs?"

They both shake their heads. She helps them both up into the booth.

"Why don't you sit with us?" Ai asks. You nod, setting your tray down. You turn a blind eye when the girl — Ruby — steals your longest fry.

The kids looked around two or three years old, meaning that Ai had them when she was fifteen or sixteen, while she was still in B-Komachi.

"How did they not end up on the news," You ask, mouth full of food. "I would assume an idol like you would spark a lot of controversy for having kids."

"Oh, we kept it under wraps," she says, patting Aqua on the head. "It was a lot of work, but they've been kept a secret from the public."

Ruby goes to steal another fry, and you gently push her hand away. She laughs.

"I usually don't get a day off, so this is pretty special for us," she says. "Who would've thought being a mom and an idol is so hard?"

"I certainly would," you say.

"I wish I could find a babysitter," she says.

"I could help out," you say. "I'm pretty good with kids."

You need money, anyways. You don't have a job at the moment, so a part time job would be useful.

"Really?!" She asks. She takes both of your hands, looking into your eyes. "Thank you!"

You exchange contact information, before saying goodbye.

"I'll call you when I need you," she says. "And I'll pay you well."

"Thank you," you said.

"Aqua!!" Y/n yelled, walking closer to the man. It was known to everyone at school that they liked teasing people, no matter who it was. The teasing would continue until the end of the day.

Today's victim was Hoshino Aqua. Ruby had practically begged Y/n to somehow annoy her brother for her. She had told them everything she needed.

Y/n ran up to the blonde, slightly excited. "I heard you're going on a dating show... is it true?" They asked with a smile.

Aqua looked slightly annoyed. "Did Ruby tell you?" He questioned, and that was all Y/n needed to know.

It was no secret that Y/n's only subject to this abuse was Aqua, or mostly Aqua. It had been done for centuries at this point.

"What are you doing?" She asked, but the blonde didn't answer.

"Are you planning on getting a girl pregnant?!" They questioned, the shock on their face evident. "You dirty man! Using that poor girl for children... at the age of 16, nonetheless." They gasped dramatically.

Aqua stared at them in irritation. "Did my sister tell you that?" He asked.

She had pleaded with you promising to never put you up to something like this again. Unfortunately you had agreed to the stupid prank wanting the blonde to just get the reaction to leave you alone.

“Aqua can I do something real quick?” Y/n asked him having second thoughts. Without a doubt he agreed asking her what it was.

Ruby hid behind the bushes close to the two of you. As you quickly kissed his cheek running off.

the blonde was stunned unable to speak his face a dark shade of red, the other blonde was laughing her ass off finding the entire thing amusing to her to the point of tears.

what she didn’t expect was that aqua would quickly get over the shock of the kiss and confront his girlfriend knowing how out of character it is for her.

So he marched to where she was and asked her “what was that about” he asked slightly upset.

In her terrified state she confessed to what Ruby had put her up to before continuing what she was doing hoping he’d have a new person to take his anger out at.

In the end, Ruby ended up getting scolded and hadn’t been allowed outside the house for several days

THAT DAY, the day aquamarine hoshino saw you was bright.Warm even the sun smiling upon him almost as if it were a warning. As if it were to good to be true.

Aqua knew what he was getting himself into when he decided to begin a relationship, hell the boy wasn’t ready for one not even for a minute.yet he begun your relationship with him as if it were an experiment in his eyes.

Aqua knew about your family before trying to talk to you.Precaution maybe it was you wouldn’t know.

What he didn’t expect was the fact you and his sister Ruby were in the same class. He had heard that you’d want to become an idol. The poor boy almost went ballistic because in his eyes with your personality there was no way you wanted to be an idol!. Your parents put you up to right?…

Gasping and gargling on your saliva, you try to form words as you sit up and back away from whoever was holding your head up.

"Oh! You're awake!"

Shaking like a leaf in autumn, you pull your hands to your throat.

The words of accusations to the strangers who brought you to a strange room wouldn't leave your throat. It was far too dry and raspy to make a word intelligible to the human ear.

The sensation of when you first woke up in a different body returned. Wanting to hurl, scream, kick, cry. Rip off the flesh that wasn't your own.

But all you could do was shake.

"[Sir/Madame] please calm down!" A young male with sparkly pink eyes with stars for pupils sat on a plain couch with two children by his side. A boy and a girl, the three of them seemed scared like you.

"Papa!" The young girl shrieks, clinging to her supposed father. "It's okay, it's okay Ruby!" He rubbed his daughter's back soothingly, his son leaning onto his side as he stared at you.

"W... w.." You force your hands to lower to your sides. Still unnerved and unable to speak properly. Breathing less erratic and heartbeat slowing down.

""W?'" The purple-haired male asked. Tilting his head quizzically as his kids followed his movements.

A man in his possible early thirties appears in the doorway.  He wore a black suit with a white shirt carelessly, adorning a pair of black shades, blonde short hair, and thin facial hair. Accompanied him was a beautiful young woman with strawberry blonde hair.

Where the hell are you!?

"Oi! Ai, why didn't you tell us they were awake?" The young woman scolded, rushing off to what you assumed was a kitchen.

"Sorry..." The male rubbed the back of his neck, flustered beyond belief. "Relax kid, your safe now." The blonde gentleman states, holding out a hand for you.

Taking the stranger's hand, you ignore the people on the couch and try standing up properly.

The woman from before ushers you to the couch where the person called "Ai" sat with his kids. The strawberry-blonde lady hands you a cup of water.

Greedily gulping it down without a care, you finish the cup in one gulp.

The blonde man laughed at you, while the woman shot him a disapproving look.

"Someone..." You start, looking down at the bottom of your glass.

"Someone, please, tell me what's going on..?" You said pathetically.

The kids look at you in awe as the older adults shoot uneasy glances at one another.

"Uhmm, (Y/N). Correct?" The young woman says towards you. You nodded, that did sound like the name you knew in your past life. Was it the same for this person's body?

"How do you know my name?"

"Your I.D. The thing slipped out of your bag when you attacked that stalker." The young woman nods with the man with shades.

"That's what Ai said, they saw you, euh- ahem, puke, on the stalker. They were about to hurt Ai- or worse if it weren't for you interfering."

The two of them lower their heads and kneel in front of you.

"Thank you." "Thank you..."

The two said in sync.

The young woman started shaking, a quiet sob leaving her mouth. Yet when she raised her head, she simply wiped her eyes. A certain gleam took over the sadness.

"You saved Ai's life, we can't thank you enough."

"You guys..." Ai mumbled. He held his kids closer, hiding his expression as his kids cuddle closer to him.

You on the other hand felt a weird warm sensation on your back. You thought it would be your embarrassment, but no, it was the two kids.

Their eyes were so big and thankful towards you, but you honestly thought they were glaring at you.

"It-its no problem! Really... I didn't even know it was a stalker..." You said truthfully, "I thought they were my neighbor. I wanted to thank them for the cookies- THE COOKIES!" You get up from your spot on the couch but fall back down.

"Auh... Never doing that again. Phew.."

You said to yourself, holding your head as you try to recall your surroundings. Ai gently pats your back as you shoot them a thankful look. Causing them to quickly bring their hand back to his lap. You would have thought he was surprised at his actions.

"BUT- The cookies! I wanted to thank you, they looked really tasty and made my day... There probably destroyed right?" You smiled sadly at the thought of wasted pastries.

"No!" Ai exclaimed, pausing when he sees the startled expressions on everyone's faces.

"We still have some! No worries." Ai plays off the slip-up, and his kids cheer at the idea of more cookies. Unaware of their agreeing nods of a silent conversation between his twins.

"Uh-umm, you okay?" Your voice captures his attention as you gave him an awkward smile.

"Yes." The blonde replied smoothly as he watched you nod unsurely.

"You were talking about how you felt bad for not getting in the assignment for one of your classes, right?"

You look at him blankly... Then, eruptly bang your head against your desk. Comically, whining as your female friend, laughs at you robotically.

Aqua studied you like a new breed of animal.

Your eyes were big and sparkly, hair was perfect, even after your panic attack. The clothes you wore were only slightly ruffled and a bag that you didn't own, hangs from your shoulder. T

You felt sick.

So you threw up on the concrete. You almost choked on your puke because you wanted to laugh at the shocked and horrified people that saw you spilling out chunks of black and purple.

Whoever's body you were in had eaten some weird-looking stuff. Gross.

Wiping your mouth of the residue and gagging at the taste in your mouth. Listening carefully to the sounds around you, which was some cheesy-sounding pop music.

You look up from your puddle of vomit and see a boy wearing your same uniform. Visibly weirded out by you, yet asks you if you were okay.

As if a switch was inside you, you felt like your body and mind were no longer in one.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Just a little too excited, I got a new apartment so I have to deal with all the moving stuff."

The guy nodded politely, but his face lit up when seeing a poster nearby.

"Ah, I forgot! It's your day off tomorrow, right? Maybe you'll feel better by then!"

The boy was smaller than you, with short choppy hair and big yellow eyes. That's not a normal eye color, but they looked too real to be contacts.

You want to go home. Or to the godamn new home, your doppelgangers body had just bought!

"I hated today..." You groan, feeling whatever food was in the stomach of this body swish and gurgle in unpleasantness.

After digging around the bag that wasn't yours. You find a phone, I.D., wallet, and a note.

God or whoever, clearly had a love-hate relationship with you.

After walking inside the apartment complex, you smile proudly at yourself.

Look at you! Tired and scared shitless and finding possibly your forever home! Great.

Walking to your room number, you notice someone concealed in dark clothes following after you. Stopping at your neighbors' apartment. Quietly mumbling to themselves as they played with something in their pockets.

Weirded out. You ignore them before looking down at your doorstep.

You feel your eyes widen, a fond yet tired smile masking your face.

Someone left cookies on your doorstep in plastic tupperware.

Maybe.. Maybe that weirdo that was following you was your neighbor!

And you were just brushing off his kindness?!

Damn, now you felt like a ass.

Using all the energy you had left in your system. You hold the container close to your chest.

A friendly smile on your face as you walk over to over clothed man.

You call out to him happily. "Hey! I just wanted to say-!"

The door your neighbor who was standing in front of the door opens.

Your supposed "neighbor" pulls out a knife-

You throw up all over the attacker.

"AUGH! WHAT THE-!" Their weapon falls to the floor as a sickening *crack!* resounds in the hallway.

The attacker's body falls to the floor, vomit mixed with blood staining their hoodie.

Spit dribbles down your mouth, your body finally collapses due to all the stress in your system. Your eyes become blurry with tears or sweat.

You hope once you become unconscious that you'll wake up back in your actual body.

Unaware of the audience that watched you from their doorway.

Their star-eyed pupils become big at your fallen, disgusting form. The beats of your heart barely beating. Which caused your actual neighbor's heart to combust.
