okay but yeah? it was so weird how dante was being towards ignoring v at times compared to how nero treated him but i can like see why if he heard vergil was up to shit and that became his main focus / not really thinking about other stuff/people which mostly just came off as him ignoring them shsf ( i need to rewatch cutscenes as i'm basing this off memory atm )

Vergil was dying. He was dying and all he cared about was defeating Dante. He’s such a child, I really am excited to see more of him after he’s reformed because he has not had a chance to mature since 3. He’s still a goddamn teenager.

Dante obviously knows who V is at that point but refuses to let him tell him himself, and he refuses to hear it from Trish twice as well. I guess theres a part of him that would feel... Uncomfortable? Wrong? Working alongside V if it was actually confirmed. Or maybe he can’t consider his own emotions because that would hold him back from defeating Urizen? Idk

the fact he leaves regrave an after years ends up in another city that gave him so much trauma (the first novel) to THEN SET HIS OFFICE UP AT THE PLACE WHERE ALL HIS TRAUMA BEGAN ??? I ????? dante must just believe redgrave is the hotspot of demon activity so best place to set up shop despite his feelings towards the city sfjhsfhj

i mean that’s the ONLY reason i can think of as to why he fucking stayed in redgrave after fucking off for so many years.  like it being the hotspot for demon activity   ---   which is   true    considering temen - ni - gru,  the qliphoth and shit like that and with how dante,  no matter where the fuck he went would drag shit after him.  

the novels happened along with the anime show clearly that a lot of things happen in redgrave   A LOT  which would be the epicenter i guess.  since fucking sparda was a goddamn idiot and didn’t think super well in closing up big dealio things so close to each other.  like  ............  it makes sense.  it would suck to   be there   for him but if he’s doing what he does for his reasons and stuff of the sort it does make some sense despite his feels and trauma.

ffff, thank you so much, this truly means a whole lot to me to hear. i never expected to end up in so damn deep with nero as a muse and being a part of this fandom. he was an experimental muse and then just… the more and more i looked into him and fleshed out how i wanted to write him? the more i found myself in love with him as a character. so, to know that anyone sees that or gets that notion from my blog? woof.

He knew that Vergil was never the one to be thankful, but it did leave a bit of an ego damage on him to learn that he wasn’t getting any form of thanks.

          curious  eyes  peek  through  the  shop’s  window,  safe  from  the  crowded           streets  and  never - ending  noise  /  it’s  too  different  here,  loud  and  full           of  people  ;  real  people,  nothing  like  the  hollow  puppets  that  filled  the           castle  he  once  called  ‘home’.  and  he  still  doesn’t  really  get  why  that           man  that  looks  so  much  like  his  father  would  bring  him  here  /  dante           is  nice,  but  he’d  rather  stay  with  his  dad.  he  really  misses  him  a  lot.

          something  seems  to  shift  within  him  /  almost  like  calling  him  in  a  too           familiar  tune.  he  slips  to  the  ground  easily,  sneaking  out  of  the  shop           before  its  owner  could  even  notice  it ; he  doesn’t  plan  on  worrying  his           caretaker,  not  really.  he  just  needs  a  moment  or  two  to  check  this ----

V’s lips quirked up, and he closed the familiar book of his - the one from his childhood, the one with his true name - and he leaned back, other hand slowly curling around his cane. “I am weak. I am fragile. I am mortal.” V paused, flicking his eyes to the familiar figure. “And yet, I don’t regret it now.”

mike your v is glorious, from the way how you characterise the 'vergil' side of him but also still make v his own character as well its just honestly really soothing to read how you write him from his actions/emotions to his dialogue to, you're just doing such a fab job with your portrayal ❤

           AND WHAT DOES HE DO ? he starts picking up the scattered papers and books.  the untidyness of it all was ridiculous,  but he expected no less from dante ; a common trait he noticed between any he came across that wasn’t his own brother.  taking a deep breath, he looked at the other.

          “    do you intend to fix it yourself,  dante ?   ”     he raises a brow,  before looking back to the book in his hand and placing it down in another pile separate to the paperwork.  it may be the others property,  but while he is ( forced to ) staying here he won’t settle for this filth. it gives him something,  other then reading or training,  to do.

           >> 🔥 <<    TONGUE CLICKED IN ANNOYANCE ‘FORE IT CONTINUED TO ROLL THE STICK LOLLY   in his mouth as a frustrated huff left out of his nose.  his mess was his own and he knew were everything was but it being moved now   BOTHERED HIM   greatly   ---   though he wasn’t surprised that this was even happening.

        sunlight  shines  between  thick  clouds  as  the  last  demon  falls  to  his         attack,  trained  hands  evoking  the  remnants  of  energy  before  it  was         gone  /  and  he  could  save  so  much  of  that  stolen  energy  if  he  just         decided  to  leave  the  city  and  wait  for  the  boy  to  RETURN. not  that         he  would  really  run  away,  not  while  he  could  fight.

        it’s  griffon  that  notices  the  strange  situation  first,  and  soon  his  eyes         fall  on  the  figure  he  knows  too  well  --  a  twisted  mirror  of  days  long         gone,  of  times  where  he’d  fooled  himself  over  and  over  again.  and         maybe  it’s  just  another  of  urizen’s  tricks,  maybe  he’s  walking  into  a         most  coward  trap  but  he  doesn’t  care,  not  for  the  moment.  

            ❝  kill  not  the  moth  nor  butterfly,  for  the  last  judgement  draweth  nigh.  ❞

the  sigh  that  he  offers  in  response  to  the  taunt  is  harsher  than  usual,  almost  cold  /  he  is  no  idiot,  not  as  blind  as  he  used  to,  not  when  it  came  to  his  brothers -- or  someone  that  looks  too  much  like  one  of  them,  that  emanates  almost  the  same  aura  of  a  brother  he’d  believed  to  be  dead  and  gone  for  too  long  now.  it  would’ve  make  him  happy  and  he knows  he  should  be  HAPPY  to  finally  be  able  to  see  vergil  again  after  everything  /  but   by  god,  he’s  grown  too  old  and  too  tired  of  mourning  people  he’ll  lose  some  way  or  another.

( he  should  be  happy  but  this  twisted  mirror  only  brings  back  the  memories  he’d  rather  bury  deep  within  his  soul. )
