“Someones at the door!” Seungmin yelled, too busy chopping vegetables to care.

He heard Jeongin emerging from his room with a frustrated sigh, going to answer the door.

It wasn’t until Seungmin heard your voice, that he cared who was at the door.

“Is Seungmin home?” you croaked, trying your best not to sound like you had been crying. Either way, you sure looked like you’d been crying.

“Er, yeah he’s home let me go get him.” Jeongin was unsure what to say to you, but he could tell something was wrong.

The sight in front of him crushed him. Your hair in a messy low bun, a big T-shit that hung off one of your shoulders, Pj pants caught in your barley tied red chucks, and of course his favorite, your big black blue light glasses. Your eyes looked up at him big and scared, obviously puffy from crying, your bottom lip quivering slightly.

“What happened?” He breathed, looking at you with worried eyes, “Was it your roommates again?”

You slowly nodded looking down.

It was no secret your roommates didn’t like you. You were never one to hide who you were, so the bisexual flag on your wall had said. Your roommates didn’t feel comfortable with you, a bisexual person, living with them. They often bullied you, broke your stuff, and physically abused you, wanting you to leave. But you didn’t have anywhere else to go, you chose to dorm at college because your parents ,ade your life a living hell. The only person you could go to was your best friend Seungmin.

“Come inside,” he said, leading you to his room.

“I don’t want you staying there anymore,” He said, shutting door behind him.

“I don’t have a choice, I can't go back to my parents.”

“I know.” Seungmin knew ever since you were kids you dreamed of getting out, away from your family.

“Stay here.”

“What?”

“Stay here, you can stay in my room, there’s plenty of space in my closet for your stuff, and I don’t even use my desk, you can use it for work.”

“Seungmin, I don't want to take your space.”

“It’s not up for discussion, I don’t want you ever going back there. I’ll go over to your dorm and get your stuff. You’re not staying there anymore.”

Around three hours later Seungmin returned with your things in suitcases.

“What are those?” Jeongin asked almost critizingly

“Y/n was bullied again, she's staying with us now.”

“Where's she staying?”

“With me, in my room.”

“That’s a bad idea.”

“Shut up.”

It wasn’t a secret to Jeongin that Seungmin had been hopelessly in love with you since forever.

But Seungmin needed to grow up and ignore those feelings for now, he needed you to be safe.

-time skip, 3 days late-

Seungmin stood above you in dismay, not liking that you’ve been sleeping on the floor. He sighed and picked you up, placing you on his bed. He tucked you in quietly, putting some onf your stuffed animals from his closet next to you.

You didn’t expect to wake up on Seungmin’s bed, and for Seungmin to be on the floor in a sleeping bag. You were about to scold him until you looked up to see some of your posters and personal pictures on the wall, along with your flag. You kept them packed for a reason, not wanting to invade Seungmins space.

You felt like crying right then and there, he was too sweet for you. You couldn’t lie, part of the nervousness of moving in here was caused by your feelings for Seungmin, and this wasn’t helping at all. You moved to wake up Seungmin.

“Seungmin.” you mumbled, shaking him slightly to wake him up.

“Mmm what.” He groaned, not fully awake.

“Seungmin, what are you doing on the floor?” you asked with a scolding tone.

“I just didn’t want you on the floor.”

“Then get in bed with me.”

He blinked at you, taken aback.

“What? It’s a big bed, there’s no use fighting over who sleeps on the floor or not.”

“I- You’re right, Okay.”

Seungmin felt his face heat up, and he hoped to god you didn’t notice.

As he was getting up, he was shocked when you suddenly wrapped your arms tightly around him.

“Thank you for putting my stuff up, it makes me feel at home.”

He chuckled, “You ARE at home silly, this is your place now too.”

-time skip, 4 weeks later-

Living with Seungmin hadn’t gotten any easier. It was wonderful, yes. But it was so so so hard to keep your feelings to yourself. Especially when he does little things that he thinks you don’t notice.

Like when he puts his arm around you when he thinks you're sleeping, or when he’d kiss you goodnight on the forehead. You noticed all of this.

Today Seungmin invited you to go to a party with him, since you hadn’t left the house ever since you moved in with him.

“I don’t wanna go, what if my old roommates are there.”

“They won’t be, and if they are I'll be with you the whole time. No one will ever lay a finger on you again as long as I’m here.”

You immediately felt uncomfortable at the party, anxiety quickly taking you over. You didn’t want to worry Seungmin though, and you knew he’d pick up on it. So of course you decided to hide in the bathroom, a mistake.

I immediately freeze when you hear a familiar voice, “well look who it is.”

“Please, I don’t want any trouble” you felt tears well up, threatening to spill.

-time skip, like 30 min later-

You stumbled out of the bathroom in a frenzy, oblivious to the obvious stares you were getting as you mindlessly searched for the only person you could think of. Seungmin.

And it didn’t take long for him to find you, as he had been looking for you.

“Y/n! Holy fuck what happens?” He held your face between his hands looking at your bruised face.

“Seungmin, let’s just go home please.”

“I’m gonna fucking kill whoever did this to you, where are they?” He was also oblivious to the stares glued to you both.

“Please, I want to go home.” Your breathing became uneven and fast paced, tears uncontrollably falling.

In that moment he understood. You needed him right now, and he couldn’t stand to see you like this.

When you got home, your panic didn’t die down. No, it worsened. At this point you were having a full panic attack. Seungmin didn’t know what to do, all he wanted was to hold you.

So he did. He abandoned all logic and pulled you into his arms sitting on the bed. “Shhh, I’m here.” he rubbed your back with one hand, trying to calm you down. It worked like a charm, you eventually calming down and dozing off to sleep.

-morning-

You woke up on Seungmin arms, quickly recalling last nights events. Your heart melted thinking about it. You look up at Seungmin and quickly realized he wasn’t actually sleeping.

“Seungmin.” No response.

“Kim Seungmin I know you’re not sleeping.” You knew obviously when he slept he had this cute habit of his lip twitching.

“Mmm” he opened his eyes looking at you.

“Were you pretending to sleep to hold me longer?” You teased.

“Maybe.” He said bluntly, smiling.

You giggled at his words, softly hitting his chest.

“I’m sorry about last night.”

“Why what happened?” He asked. You smiled quietly to yourself. Seungmin knows in situations like this you’d rather pretend it didn’t happen.

“Thank you.” You said softly, and he just hummed, planting a kiss on your forehead.

But everything stopped when seungmin ended up hovering above you. You both froze staring at eachother. You gulped as you felt your face heat up, and slight tension in between your legs. Y/N'S POV:

The only thing you actually like about your volleyball team right now is how hyped they’re getting for the semi-finals. You can hear their “zone music” from all the way in the gym coming from the locker rooms. It would actually be a hype playlist if you weren’t suffering through an extreme stress-headache right now. The reason for your stress? Your team barely won the last game. If it weren’t for Jeno spiking the ball from back center at the last second they would've lost. Jeno likes to rub that in your face. “I’m your savior coach, you can’t be mad at me.” Jeno has a past of “jokingly flirting” with you, although you’re not sure it’s a joke anymore. The team snaps you out of your thoughts when they walk up to you and ask if you're ready. 

“Ready?” Jeno says.

“Yeah…” you replied

“Are you okay?” Jaemin asked, worried after seeing your face.

“Yea, i’m good I just have a headache” you added

Another member named Chenle said “Ok, well…let’s hit the road”

After 15 minutes on the road with an hour still to go until you’re at the other team’s stadium, we stop for a bathroom break because Haechan’s bladder “can only take so much weight.” This is why you never go for congratulatory drinks with the team after their games. You always knew Haechan was a lightweight, this just proved your point. The boys switch out driving so they don’t get tired, considering it’s 5:00 in the morning. Now the seating arrangements are Me and Jeno in the front seats(he’s driving because I still have a headache(Haechan is screaming the lyrics to Boyfriend by Justin Bieber), Haechan, Mark, & Jaemin in the middle row. And Jisung and Chenle in the back giggling. That’s the last thing you hear before you drift off to sleep.

JENO’S POV:

She looks so peaceful, asleep against the window, sunlight beaming off of her naturally tan skin and plump pink lips.

Third Person POV

When (Y/n) got the news that they would be moving to Korea to study, they were very excited. A new adventure with millions of possibilities waiting for them. (Y/n) packed their bags as soon as they knew when they were leaving. (Y/n) had fixed a small apartment that wasn’t too close to the university nor was it too far away, it was a bit expensive but (Y/n) also found a job so it would be fine. (Y/n) was looking forward to meeting new friends and exploring a new city. 

However, even though (Y/n) had done everything they could to prepare for this trip, they couldn’t stop their anxiety from ruining the experience. It turns out that making friends was way harder than (Y/n) had expected, throughout the first week of university, they hadn’t met a single person to hang out with. It seemed like everyone had already found their cliques, everyone but (Y/n). 

The apartment might have been small but during the night as (Y/n) was feeling lonely, it seemed so vast. The walls span across the country, the roof nowhere in sight, the small night light only illuminating the shadows that dwell around the room. 

During the start of the second week, (Y/n) was ready to give up, they were ready to pack up their things and return home. That was until they met two boys who finally made the anxiety shrink from a raging storm to a gentle breeze. 

It was during lunchtime on Tuesday that (Y/n) ran into a guy with bright red hair, he was dressed in a dark green hoodie and ripped jeans. The guy was coming around a corner and (Y/n) didn’t see him so they ran right into each other, fortunately, it wasn’t more than a bump so no one got hurt. 

“Oh, I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” The guy stopped and gave (Y/n) a bright smile while also looking them up and down to see if he caused any injuries or anything. “Um, no, no, um, yes, I’m okay, sorry for running into you,” “It’s fine! It was my fault too. My name is Hyojin! I’m an Astronomy student,” Hyojin reached out his hand for (Y/n) to shake, still a friendly and bright smile on his lips. (Y/n) reached out and took his hand, giving it a gentle shake. “Hi, my name is (Y/n), I’m a (subject) student,” “Are you a first-year student?” “Yeah,” (Y/n) felt a bit nervous to stand there and talk to Hyojin but he was very friendly and his aura calmed her nerves. “I’m in the second year, OH SEUNGJUN! Hey,” Suddenly Hyojin saw someone behind (Y/n) and he began shouting and waving to catch the person's attention. (Y/n) turned around and saw another guy who waved back as he jogged over to where Hyojin and they were standing. 

“This is Seungjun, Seungjun this is (Y/n),” “Hello, nice to meet you!” “Hi,” “Sorry, I got caught up with (Y/n) so I forgot we were meeting for lunch, about that, am I keeping you from meeting up with your friends?” “No, not really, I kind of don’t have anyone to eat lunch with,” “Just today or always?” Seungjun asked, his eyes sparkled warmly. “Ya, you can’t just ask them that,” “It’s okay, um I guess always because well I’ve had a hard time finding friends here,” “Are you an exchange student?” “Um kind of, well, I’m not from Korea originally or anything but I’m enrolled for the entire program so not just one semester or so,” “Woah that’s so cool, I don’t think I’d have it in me to move to another country to study, not alone at least,” Seungjun said. The two boys were very easy to speak with, their energy made (Y/n) open up more too, daring to actually speak and show some of their personality. 

“Hey, so um, lunch is almost over now, hehe, seems like we all will have to skip it from talking too much. Anyways, Hyojin and I usually have a little picnic on Thursdays after our classes, because some weeks we don’t have time to meet up before that so it’s sort of mandatory for us to do it. Wanna join us this Thursday? It was so nice talking with you so I’d at least love to get to know you more!” “I’d like that too, so what do you say?” (Y/n) took a deep breath, they never thought that them running into a guy with bright red hair could lead to friendship. “Yes, I’d love too,” “Give me your number, I’ll text you the details of when and where and what you should bring!” “Okay!” Hyojin handed (Y/n) his phone and let them add their contact to it. “See ya on Thursday if we don’t run into each other before then!” “Bye,” 

Thursday rolled around and classes were over, (Y/n) was at a convenience store to get some drinks for them and the two boys as (Y/n) had been tasked with bringing drinks. (Y/n) was feeling excited to meet with the two nice boys once again, they thought they’d be nervous but they weren’t, probably because Hyojin and Seungjun had been so nice and welcoming. After buying some different drinks, (Y/n) began walking over to the location Hyojin had sent. When they got their, they searched for the bright red hair but couldn’t find it, (Y/n) felt sad, had they been played? Had the boys just been fooling around? That was until they heard two voices shouting their name. 

“(Y/n)! Over here!” They turned a bit to the left and saw two boys jumping and waving their arms around as they shouted (Y/n)’s name. Hyojin no longer had bright red hair but now he had a light blonde color. “Hey, I was trying to look for you by your hair color but you changed it,” “Yeah, I got tired of the red, also my teachers didn’t appreciate it, said it was distracting,” As he said distracting he made a funny expression and used a mocking tone, making his two friends laugh. “Well, the red looked good on you but so does the blonde,” “Thanks, (Y/n)!” 

And so the three sat in a park, talking about their lives both before meeting and the most recent days, (Y/n) didn’t feel like an outsider or like they had just met the two boys two days ago, no (Y/n) felt like they had known each other their entire lives. Finally, they could enjoy this adventure. Finally, that small apartment wasn’t vast and lonely, no it was slowly getting filled with happy memories, photos, trinkets, and moments from hanging out with the two guys. And Thursday picnics were no longer just a Hyojin and Seungjun thing, it was now a Hyojin, Seungjun, and (Y/n) thing.

You had to admit he did look pretty cute with his bright red nose and puffy face, but if you said anything he would get 10 times whinier than he already was.

Seungjun bit his lip, head falling back onto the couch. You giggled at his antics. He was dramatic even when he was healthy, but no one could ever beat the melodrama that came with a sick Seungjun. He didn’t say anything for about 10 minutes, and you thought he had fallen asleep.

“Get me the throat spray.” He mumbled just above a whisper.

“Knew it would work.” You giggled.

“You feeling any better?” It was hours later, and you were just slipping under the covers after brushing your teeth, joining Seungjun who was hugging a pillow.

“A bit?”

“Still probably not enough for my goodnight kiss, then?” You pouted. You had already gone 2 days without one and a part of you was really hoping to sneak just one peck in before bed.

“I’m sorry, baby.” Seungjun whispered and held out his arms. “All I can offer is hugs right now.”

“You owe me at least 10 kisses once you’re better, got it?” You said seriously, settling so your head rested on his chest and he could wrap his arms around you.

“I’ll give you 20 kisses once I’m better if you want.”

“30.”

“50?”

“100.” You giggled.

Seungjun tried to stop himself from laughing since it usually ended in a coughing fit, but he ultimately failed.

“You sound ugly when you cough.” You joked.

“Can’t really help it.”

“I miss you singing me to sleep.” You sighed, tracing little shapes on his shirt with your finger.

“I miss it too, but my throat is really out of commission.” 

“I know…”

“I thought I was whiny, but you know, you’re pretty whiny too.” Seungjun smiled.

“Maybe if my boyfriend wasn’t sick for so long, I wouldn’t be so whiny.” You countered.

“So it’s my fault, huh?” 

You nodded.

“I like it when you’re whiny, though. It’s cute.”

“Shut up.”

“You think I’m annoying when I’m whiny, though, don’t you?” He didn’t say it in his usual teasing tone where you knew he was joking. He rubbed your arm as he spoke, his breath coming out a soft tone that you rarely got from him.

“Do you want an honest answer?”

“Hm?”

“Usually I would just say ‘of course, you’re the most annoying person I know’, but I feel like I shouldn’t tease you while you’re sick.”

“How thoughtful of you.” Seungjun mumbled, voice coming out softer and softer as he teetered on the edge of drifting off into a slumber.

“I don’t mind when you’re whiny. It kinda reminds me how much you love me, and that you would even want to put in that much effort just for my attention… So, I guess I like it too.” You glanced up only to find Seungjun already asleep, softly breathing while still holding you close to his chest.

“Why’d I even say all of that if you were just going to fall asleep on me?” You muttered. “…Sleep well, baby.”

ONF has recently concluded their domestic activities for their eighth mini album, 'BEAUTIFUL SHADOW'.

Now in their eighth year, all members of ONF have completed their military service. True to their nickname as a "home of great songs," their new song has ignited the hearts of K-pop fans. Seungjun: "The killing point of this song, I think, is the overwhelming emotion it evokes. When I first heard it, it touched my heart, carrying a charm that spans all generations, unlike today’s trends. Also, the unique characteristics and abilities of each ONF member blend well, enabling this expression."

Wyatt: "I think our team’s vocal and powerful high notes are the killing points. Thankfully, many have said our music is trustable. True to our group's name, showing distinctly different sides on and off the stage is a strength of ONF."

Now that the military hiatus is over, active participation is expected. How do you feel about the recent album activities ending? Any plans and goals for the future?

Minkyun: "It was a fun time showing a new side of ourselves, although it ended too quickly. We will be touring in Japan and North America. We’re also preparing diligently for the next album."

U: "Concerts and album activities have been fun times spent with fans. Many listened to our songs and supported us with love, allowing us to conclude our activities well. We plan to be active in Japan and later in North America this summer. Since we couldn’t meet fans during our military hiatus, we aim to meet them frequently starting this year. Meeting many of our fans, Fuse, is our goal this year."

Can you recommend a hidden gem song from ONF’s discography?

Hyojin: "From our sixth mini album 'Goosebumps', I’d recommend the track 'Alarm'. I personally love this song. We released this album just before enlisting, so we couldn't promote it much and perform as much as we wanted. It’s a really good song, so please give it a listen."

E-Tion: "From our recent eighth mini album 'BEAUTIFUL SHADOW', I recommend 'Slave To The Rhythm'. It offers a different sentiment from our title song 'Bye My Monster'."

Seungjun: "From our third mini album 'WE MUST LOVE', I recommend the track 'Yayaya'. It’s a song I suggest listening to when you’re facing tough times or want to break out of the mould. I hope the fun lyrics will lighten your mood."
