It's so difficult to narrow it down to 10 songs, really!

1. Into the Unknown by Idina Menzel and Aurora (Frozen 2)

This song is the Let it Go of Frozen 2! And I'm obsessed.

Idina hitting that E flat like a champ, and Aurora's mystical voice calling out to her.

2. Always Remember Us This Way by Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born)

Lady Gaga's expressive voice, damn.

“...all choked up and I can't find the words..”

Hella relate.

3. Bad Romance by Lady Gaga

The perfect song for cheering me up, for dancing like weirdo, for shaking your head along while everyone thinks your crazy. Has so many fun elements.

4. Hold Me While You Wait by Lewis Capaldi

Lewis Capaldi's raw emotions and beautiful voice (and accent 👀). Someone You Loved might be the chartbuster, but this one is an amazing rendition of that time when you know it's over and you're just waiting for that moment.

5. Apologize by OneRepublic feat. Timbaland

Onerepub will always have my heart. Each and every song from their albums are beautiful. But Apologize, it's just, that OG you keep going back to.

6. Red by Taylor Swift

Red was the album that made every teenage girl's heart beat faster and flutter. And Red, the song. Wow.

7. The One That Got Away by Katy Perry

Katy reminding us one that one person we have, who we might lose, or that one person we already lost.

How many times do we think of the past, and go “what if” ?

I love Sam Smith. And I love Normani.

They've just got this magical voice, and i just can't get enough!

9. Million Reasons by Lady Gaga

My go to Karaoke song. Simple background, Gaga let's the emotions speak for themselves.

10. Chandelier by Sia

This song has won me prizes. Enough said.

TAG GAME!

tagged by @midnanoire​! Sorry it took me a bit to answer, I’ve had some stuff to deal with!  Rules: answer 21 questions and tag 21 people I wish to know better (I definitely don’t know that many people but I’ll def tga a few!)

Nickname: I’ll be vague for identity purposes BUT a few years ago I was called Ferny as both a bit of a mean nickname but also because of a pun with my surname! Online I currently go as Meep or Mira, mostly Meep.

Star sign: Aquarius.

Last film I saw: Gintama’s Benizakura-hen! It was a remaster of the actual anime arc so I’m not sure if that counts. If I had to name a proper movie, I’d say Wall-E (one of my fave movies).

Favourite musician: I don’t really have picks for individual musicians, but I really like Marina and the Diamonds and Christina Perri. I have more picks for groups: The Fray, OneRepubic, Set It Off and Arrows To Athens. I totally have to look these up because I never remember, for some reason.

Song stuck to my head: none at the moment but give me an hour and I’ll be unfocused and needing some jams.

Other blogs: @icechipsx​, a blog I abandoned that I once thought I’d use for writing when I thought I could separate and classify things in my blog. If so I recall there are only reblogs for some of my story chapters and a pokemon Livecastershipping story I never continued. If I ever retake Pokemon I’ll for sure continue it, I was so excited for it.

Blogs following: 47! I purged a lot of blogs a bit ago so I need to rebuild that side of my blog.

Get asks?: I sometimes do! It’s usually regarding fanfics or writing, and I love getting them! I love doing asks and getting them.

Dream job: either a writer, an artist, or a game translator! The latter is what I’m studying for at the moment.

Dream trip: Canada, Canada, Canada, Norway or Japan.

Play any new instruments: I want to learn how to play the violin or the piano, but I’m a bit too busy at the moment to take up any instruments. 

Favorite song: I don’t have any, I’d say it depends on the season, my mood, and so on. At the moment I’m actively seeking new songs to listen to because I’ve realized most of my songs are overrepeated-- and I have almost 1k songs in my phone! That says a lot.

Random fact about me: I really thoroughly enjoy martial arts and I used to practice karate when I was a kid! I had to drop it because I wasn’t really interested in it at that moment (I was like 6? maybe 7, just like school kid) but I want to take it up again. The world of self-defense is truly amazing. I’m also a very avid language learner!

guy sebastian is so underrated, honestly :c same goes for bands that actually make good music these days, like imagine dragons, onerepub, coldplay, the script, etc..

ikr! it makes me sad that artists like them don’t get recognized as much, because they can actually sing/make amazing music while the people that are popular right now are mostly all the same?? like yeah there are some good songs, but i really wish those^ artists were noticed more :\

2. “Let’s Hurt Tonight” by OneRepubic

I’m gonna call it pure willpower and a desire to stay on this list because in all retrospects, there should be no reason to have a OneRepublic song on this list in 2017. But here we are.

Why is that though?

Cause it’s amazing, first of all. The acoustic adds a level I’ve never heard before to Ryan’s voice. The lyrics speak about love as if it’s a unmerciful thing, which it can be, while addressing the fact that their love is still love.

He asks his lover not to walk away and roll her eyes in disconcern or some other apathetic emotion, but all Ryan does is ask her for to “let’s hurt tonight.”

It’s not a very original concept by all means, but the pure feeling that Ryan shreds into his words absolutely makes this a definite contender for the top song.

In a year where the songs were positive in the face of Armageddon, it really means a lot, at least to me, than one of my favorite bands ever can still find a spot in my heart.
