Never make a major life decision based on fear. It will be inauthentic—often made ‘in order to’ not lose something you don’t even know that you want—like a job or a relationship or someone’s love, or to not be seen in a poor light. ** A choice that is inauthentic will have very little staying power, the dissolution of which will be inevitable. Which will only have the pain draw out for a longer period, wasting everybody’s time because your choice was based on fear and/or confusion. Making the time and effort to gain clarity about the truthfulness of your heart, and choosing from a place of stillness as opposed to chaos and reaction will always be in everybody’s best interest. ** When you make a choice that is authentically real and true for you, everyone in your space will benefit, whether they realize it initially or not. You choosing that which is NOT your truth, will serve no one in the end. Especially you. Love yourself enough to unabashedly choose you. ** You’ve been taught, that doing so is selfish and have been shamed with words like ‘should’ and ‘duty’. Stop taking on that bs. ** The truth is your choices should be made whole-heartedly, from the space of devotion and clarity. If it isn’t an overwhelming ‘Hell yes!’ then it’s not a real yes.
