Instead, he found her lips intertwined with a woman he had never seen before. Howard froze in place, unsure of what to do next.

Peggy and Y/N quickly broke apart, both looking a little embarrassed at being caught.

"Howard," Peggy said, her voice a little shaky. "This is my wife, Y/N. Y/N, this is Howard Stark."

Peggy Carter, the woman he had admired for years, was married?

How had he not known?

"Wife?" he repeated dumbly.

"Yes, Howard," Peggy said, a hint of amusement in her voice. "I got married a few years ago."

Howard shook his head, still in disbelief. "I can't believe I didn't know," he said, walking over to shake Y/N's hand.

Y/N smiled at him, a little unsure of what to make of the whole situation. "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Stark," she said.

Howard sat down in one of the chairs in front of Peggy's desk, still trying to process the information.

"So, when did this happen?" he asked.

"A few years ago," Peggy repeated. "We kept it quiet, for obvious reasons."

Howard nodded, finally starting to come to terms with the situation.

"Well, congratulations," he said, a grin spreading across his face. "I'm happy for you both."

Peggy and Y/N both smiled at him, the tension in the room finally starting to dissipate.

"Thank you, Howard," Peggy said. "It means a lot coming from you."

OMG REMEMBERING THAT SHE HULK LINE ABOUT STEVE JUST MADE ME THINK HOW THEY KEEP RUINING STEVE'S CHARACTER EVEN FOLLOWING EXACTLY THEIR OWN STORY

So Steve wasn't a virgin right? Lost that V to a girl in the USO tour, right?

So let's go all the way back to Cap 1, why does Steve get no-bitches? Because he's small and skinny, get it, fair, however in that same movie we get him speaking to Peggy Carter for the first time and he says and I quote "Waiting for the right partner" and that is something that endears Peggy to him because it means Steve isn't like other men that just look for women for satisfaction, he wants a partner.

This is something that literally comes to play straight out in the movie when Peggy sees Steve kissing that girl and she mentions how quickly he found that "right partner", she literally spells it out how she now sees Steve like any other soldier that would jump at any chance to getting laid instead of looking for a real emotional attachment something that of course the movie tells us isn't true since it was the girl who kissed Steve and not the other way around and we don't see him flirt or look for women outside of Peggy to the point of carrying her picture.

This thought and their kiss, that he looked like it was his first kiss, is what reinforced the belief that Steve was a virgin because we, like Peggy, believed in him.

Aaaaand that just got bulldozed by that line in She Hulk like literally over 10 years later

That scene in Cap 1 has now become utterly useless because then looking back, by that point in the movie Steve has already lost his virginity and then he has the AUDACITY to look sheepish when he damn well knows he did in fact the moment he got jacked and women ran to him, something we also see in the movie, he immediately found his "right partner" or at least for the night.

Now if you go into White Male Logic that's probably behind this they'd go like, Oh well he just met Peggy Carter so they aren't as close as they'll be later, they just met once, he can have some ass now, he wasn't married or promised to her you know?

Ok fine! Yes, let's buy it, completely yes totally Steve doesn't have to save his V precisely for Peggy or not even until marriage, which btw at that time was encouraged right? Or at least to women so the idea wasn't far fetched and supposedly should've been honored by someone like Steve but ok also men are men, yes yes Steve can be a horny guy, he's allowed to ok? I mean he had just met Peggy Carter a handful of times ok?

Ok but also the ending of his character is how utterly devoted he is to Peggy, someone he's never even being on a date with, to the point of never actually forgetting her and at the end his perfect ending is finally living his dream of being with the woman he loves and never forgot and is so devoted he decided to leave everything behind and "have a life" with the love of his life.

Y'all don't see anything amiss at that? This is so cracked up because Steve is both Not all men while also being, Yes all men

He is so utterly devoted to Peggy to the point of choosing to literally go back in time to live a life with her while also being actually a horn dog and he totally did it with at least a girl because what man would go on tour with that amount of women that would clearly launch themselves at him and just not get laid with at least one? Amairight? We can't call Steve a man unless he at least fucked a USO girl.

You can almost feel the double standard because

Male writer: of course Steve was loyal and faithful to her, he just got a non serious fling somewhere, he's allowed that right?

Me: So it would've been the same say if Peggy also wasn't a virgin right?

If Peggy Carter had been known to have another sexual partner before even meeting Steve I'm sure she would've been hated, let alone one when she'd already met Steve, after Steve is alright because clearly she had to move on and we can assume it was her husband. The idea of Peggy Carter remaining virgin til marriage or at least with the man she was to marry isn't far fetched or difficult to believe but the idea of Captain fcking America, Steve Rogers and also Male, only having sex until marriage or at least with the person he loves is something that bugles the writers or even the public at large just shows you how big double standards are and for me that way of thought is what made the writers decide to add that line and to me personally it leaves a bad taste in my mouth because I have loved Steve's character and resolve and I do like him and Peggy a lot, to have him be reduced back to "men are men" after all is just so sickening

It really boils down to "males are allowed" and also toxic masculinity that he had to not be a virgin to literally just prove a point, what point idk, idk what so bad of thinking he was

Now listen, ok I'll just take it, I don't care he fcked, he couldn't fcked all the USO girls and they could've mentioned it on screen back then, I don't care but then don't double down and try and make me believe how Steve is "different" and oh so honorable even in his private life were he is respectful of women specially to the woman he fell for and was so loyal to her that even time and space couldn't keep them away, don't try to pull that shit now

"Aunt Peggy!" Sharon broke into a wide grin as she looked up from her textbook, but she didn't move from where she was sat cross-legged on her bed with a set of highlighters laid out in front of her. Peggy wasn't a hugger, and she preferred to go to people rather than let them come to her. "I'll be down soon," she assured her, "I just want to make sure I'm ready for my test on Monday."

"Ah, yes. Your mother did say you were top of the class. You wouldn't want to lose your reputation," Peggy said as she made her way over.

"And the sooner I can finish college, the sooner I can work on joining SHIELD."

Peggy didn't look surprised, and Sharon wouldn't have said anything if she'd expected her to be. In fact, Sharon thought she could see the slightest hint of a smile on her red-tinted lips as she sat down in front of her on the bed. Her great-aunt was pushing 80, but Sharon was convinced she'd never met a more elegant woman in her life, and she could only hope that some day she would look just as put together.

"Your mother certainly didn't say anything about that," Peggy noted.

Sharon exhaled, putting her open textbook down and taking a clump of her long blonde hair in her hands to fiddle with it. "She still thinks I'm going to change my mind," she explained.

Peggy gave a small nod. "I brought you something," she declared, making Sharon look up again. She handed over a rectangular white box with a silver ribbon wrapped neatly around it. "Happy Birthday, Shaz."

Sharon grinned again and eagerly began to tug at one end of the ribbon. It came apart easily and she opened the lid of the box to reveal her birthday gift: a stylish black thigh holster. Sharon's eyes grew wide as she looked at it then at Peggy, and when she picked it up to get a closer look, she saw that on the inside it bore an inscription in white: her initials, "S.C.".

"Oh my God," she said softly, "Aunt Peggy, can I...?" Sharon reached out her arms, raising her eyebrows hopefully.

"Oh, go on, then," Peggy declared, and Sharon leaned forward to hug her with a delighted laugh.

"Thank you so much. You really think I can do it?" Sharon asked, pulling away to sit back against her cushions. Had she been speaking to anyone else, she wouldn't have shown even a hint of uncertainty about her own abilities and the decision she'd made, but that didn't mean she didn't frequently have doubts in her mind. If Peggy believed in her, though, then she felt as though that was all that she really needed.

"I think you shouldn't completely ignore your mother. She loves you and she wants to be safe and happy, as do I," Peggy answered, "But I also know that you, my darling, are brilliant, and formidable, and capable of absolutely anything. Not to mention I know that nobody could have stopped me at your age from doing what I believed to be right."

"I can't just...I don't know, marry some guy and go be a real estate agent in the suburbs, not when there's so much happening in the world that I think I could be helping with," Sharon explained, "That'd keep me safe, but it wouldn't make me happy."

"I know," Peggy assured her, taking her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze, "But it is your 21st birthday, which is rather an important one in this country, and you are allowed to go out and get sloshed for a night."

"Sloshed? I like that one," Sharon said with a small chuckle, "I will try to enjoy myself, I promise."

"Yes, do," Peggy insisted, "And please go dancing."

"Dancing?" Sharon echoed.

"You'll never regret having danced, Sharon. I can promise you that."

Reasons why I love it: Fucking hell, take my heart and shred it into a million pieces, why don't you. This fic is so crazily well-written. Peggy and Steve's relationship is so believable, all of the ups and downs, the uncertainties and certainties. And oh my god, Bucky's letters. Everything about this fic is incredible. My eyes were glued to the screen the first time I read it, I couldn't even stop to make dinner in between. And the ending is so hopeful and melancholy and – fuck, I just really love it, okay? Please go and read it if you haven't, I promise you'll love it.

Reasons why I love it: Just when I thought I couldn't feel anything about Bucky Barnes that I haven't felt before, this fic comes along and makes me feel like I'm seeing a whole new side of him. It feels like the best kind of character study, and holy shit, the creativity when it comes to how this story is told – in comments, TED talks, fucking BUZZFEED ARTICLES – is so incredible that it leaves me speechless. I adored every second of this, I couldn't tear my eyes away from the screen.

Reasons why I love it: This fic took me on one of the best journeys I've ever had while reading anything. I laughed, I cried, I quietly despaired and I got so hopeful that my whole chest felt tight. The ending choked me up so hard I sat sitting into space for at least a minute afterwards. It's beautiful, it's amazing, and it's a sensation that I want you to share, so if you haven't read this series, please do. It's one of the best things on AO3 that I've found in a long time.

 I watched the girl from our street in amazement. For several times already. She amazed me. She held a wooden sword in her hand and she looked like a warrior. Her older brother wasn't with her this time. Sometimes she motioned for me to join her, but I was too ashamed.

 She looked so brave! My parents would immediately scold me in her place. The sword is for boys. Not for girls. I should go sew.

But today it was different.

 I saw myself walking towards her. Some invisible force allured me to her.

"Hi," I greeted shyly.

 She smiled brightly at me. She was missing a few teeth, but it was so.. cute!

 "Hi!" she shouted. "What is your name?" she added.

 "Y/N. And yours?" I asked.

 "Margaret. But that's what people call me who aren't my friends. You can call me Peggy," she ordered.

 I smiled. "Aren't your parents scolding you? You play like a boy."

 She sighed, rolled her eyes, and plunged her sword into the ground. "So what? I'll do what I want. Don't you want to try to play with me, Y/N?"

 "I can't ..." I sighed.

 She brushed her brown hair from her face. "You'll play with me one day."

 And it happened. Not that day, a few days later. We became very good friends, although my parents weren't excited to be friends with that crazy girl.

 1930

 "I'll marry you one day," the nine-year-old girl said.

 I giggled. "We will have a beautiful wedding!"

 "Oh, Y/N. I love you so much," she said and kissed me quickly on the lips.

 Well, we were innocent children. There were no prejudices in us.

1939

 "I'm engaged," she said out of nowhere, looking at her ring.

 I looked at her in shock. "What?"

 "It's Fred Wells. He's nice!" she said.

 I couldn't believe it. Peggy, my Peggy, was engaged.

 "But ... but ... it's early... you .." I stuttered.

 "I know, but I love him!"

 "Peggy. It's not you. I don't know what happened to you! Your dream was to be an agent, remember? If you marry him, you'll lose everything!"

 She frowned at me. "Do you have to destroy my joy, Y/N?"

 I sighed. "Do what you want, but I tell you, you should follow your dreams. I know your mom forced you. She forced you to marry him. Think of your happiness. Not hers. Mike would agree with me."

 She stomped her feet. "Why can't you be happy with me?" There were tears in her eyes.

 I started crying. "For this,"

 I don't know why I did it. But I did it. I leaned over and kissed her on the lips.

 At first, she didn't return the kiss to me, but then something probably broke in her because she returned it to me.

 I don't know how long we were kissing. But I know who ended it.

 She pushed me away. "Stop it! We can't do that!" She wiped her lips in disgust.

 My heart broke. "What are you saying? You returned it!"

 She blushed. "It doesn't matter. We can't. I think our friendship is over,"

 "Peggy ..." I wanted to take her hand, but she pushed me away.

 "Go away. I don't want to see you in my life from now."

 Something broke inside me. She destroyed me. "Remember when we were kids? You didn't care then. You've changed, Carter. But fine. I'll fulfill your wishes. We'll never see each other again. I wish you a happy life," I looked at her for the last time. I still remember that picture. Tears streamed down her cheeks. She dropped to her knees. "Y/N .. don't leave .. please .."

 But I left.

It had been nearly 5 months since you had found out that you were pregnant. You and Bucky were letting everything fall into place as you were getting ready for the birth of your baby. He had talked you into finding out the sex when it was born, despite you wanting to hurry up and find out. You closed your eyes as you sat on the couch, your legs propped onto a pillow as you rubbed your stomach as your baby kicked.

"He's good," he says with a smile. "God, you're so beautiful," he says, and you chuckle.

"I'm a whale, Buck," you say and throw a blueberry at him, which he catches with his mouth. "There's nothing beautiful about me," you snort, and he glares at you.

"Baby, how many times do I have to tell you that you're beautiful?" He asks, and you sigh. You just feel so fat and unattractive, but Bucky still stares at you the same way he did before he made the first move and kissed you all those months ago.

"I don't deserve you, Buck," you smile and move, so you are sitting beside him. "I honestly don't deserve everything you've done for the baby and me-" he cuts you off as he wraps an arm around you and pulls you gently into him, kissing your lips with a softness that made you get goosebumps every time.

"Our baby," he says into your lips.

"Our baby," you whisper back and smile as he stands up and takes your empty bowl to the sink, and comes back to lean down to kiss your chin where you had some chocolate. His lips move up to his, and you run your hands into his hair pulling him closer as he gently devours your lips with his own.

"Need to taste you," he says in a rough tone before pulling away. His hands reach down, taking both of yours. He helps you off of the couch and walks you back to the bedroom.

~ 2 Months Later~

You woke up one morning hearing the birds chirping outside of your window and smiled as Bucky came in, bringing you some toast with avocados and eggs on it. You eat the toast as he leans and kisses your stomach, softly singing his favorite song with his head gently lying on your huge tummy.

You giggle as you listen to him singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as you close your eyes and remember your first kiss during "The Wizard of Oz" all of those months ago. You play with his hair, looking down at him, wondering how you got so lucky to have a guy like Bucky. Your eyes close for a moment. You can't help but think of Steve. You hate that he left you, you hate that he chose to be with another woman; but why couldn't you hate him?

If he had known you were pregnant, you know he would've stayed. Wouldn't he?

"Hey doll, you okay?" You heard Bucky ask, and you looked down at him. You smile as you nod your head down at him. You take a deep breath.

"I was just thinking about Steve ... not necessarily the bad stuff. I just ..." you couldn't find the words. "He just would have been a good father," you say softly.

"You're right," he smiles and looks up at you. "He was a good man," he whispers and closes his eyes. "I just ... wish he would've handled all of this differently. He should've talked to you," he said, his fingers gently moving over your tummy. You smile. His singing was always something that could calm the baby's kicking down.

When he moves to lay down beside you, pulling you as close as he could as he rested his head on your shoulder and his hand on your stomach. He closed his eyes for a moment and bit at his lip.

"At the funeral, he asked me if I liked you," Bucky whispered. He'd never talked to you about this before. "He said he saw something about the way we looked at each other. He wanted to know if I had feelings for you,"

You bit your lip as you listened to Bucky, and you placed your hand over his.

"I didn't lie to him. I told him the truth. I'm sorry if me telling him that caused him to leave," he said, and you place your finger over his lips.

"Bucky, even if I do miss him sometimes ... even if I do still love him. There's nothing like the love I have for you," you whisper and run your fingers through his hair. "This baby was made with Steve ... and even tho we told each other 'I Love You,' It is fate that you and I go through this with our baby."

Bucky looked up at you, his blue eyes beginning to tear up, and you smile as you run your fingers gently into his hair before you wiped at his face with your fingers.

"I love you so much," you say down to him.

"I love you," he says back as he kisses your stomach and looks up at you with his head resting against your tummy again.

"Let's get married," he says, and you look down at him about to say something. He smiles up at you. "I know it's not an ideal proposal," he chuckles. "But I don't want to wait, and I don't even have a ring ... but I can get one. I just want to marry you, and I want to grow old with you and our baby,"

"Let's get married," you say back with a smile. "We can just do it in the courthouse... I don't need anything but you, Buck. Maybe we can get Sam to come," you say, and he smiles as he pulls away and moves his dog tags from his neck to yours.

"Let's get married," he says again and kisses your lips.

Steve had promised Peggy that he would stop by the grocery store he walked out of the store with his paper bags and looked around as things began to freeze in time. He looked around strangely as everything began to move in slow motion. Holographic doors began to show around him, and three guards came out with guns and walked towards him.

One of them stepped towards him and looked down at something in their hand.

"Steve Rogers, on behalf of the Time Variance Authority. I hereby arrest you for crimes against the sacred timeline."

Before he had a chance to speak, he was zapped away with the strange people and was put on trial. He honestly thought this was some kind of joke. How had he messed with the timeline?

"You must be Captain America," a voice said from behind him. He was holding a file and stood to walk towards him. "I'm Mobius," he said.

"Why am I here?"

"You messed up the Timeline by going back in time to be with Peggy Carter," Mobius replied. "We figured we would give you the chance to fix things. Follow me," he said, and Steve sighed, following after the man.

He stopped at an area, and Steve turned towards a vast place with darkness, but soon the darkness lit up. He saw you and Bucky in front of him.

He saw how the two of you had fallen in love, and something inside him twitched as he saw how you looked at Bucky. It was a way she never looked at him before. Then he watched the night she had called him asking him to pick something up for her, and he gasped.

"I wouldn't have left if I had known," Steve finally spoke.

Mobius looked over at the blonde and shook his head. Then looked back at the screen.

"You need to make a decision. But know one thing, them falling in love was always supposed to happen. It would have happened if you would've stayed," he said, causing Steve to look at the screen. "We normally don't do this, but we will give you time to figure out what you want. You can stay here ... you can let them live their lives. Or you can finally man up and admit that going back into time to be with a woman you only kissed once was a stupid thing to do,"

Bucky smiled as he kissed your head as your 6-week old baby girl, Isabella Rose rested on your chest. He looked like he hadn't slept in days, and you didn't look any better.

"I still can't believe she's here," he smiled, looking down at the sleeping baby. "Here, let me take her. I want you to get some sleep," he said as he softly took her and stood up from the bed and walked her to her nursery, and laid her down.

"Hey sweet pea," Bucky says as he winds up the mobile and Isabella glances up at him and he swore she smiled before looking at the mobile. "All of this is new to me. But I promise I'm going to take care of you and mommy. It's going to be the three of us to the end of the line," he whispered and looked up at the mobile where he and you had hung Steve's dog tags that he had left behind. "Your daddy would love you so much. I miss him and I know mommy misses him too. You have his eyes and his hair. But hopefully, you aren't as hardheaded," he smiles and runs his fingers through her blond hair. "Go to sleep sweet pea,"

He came back into the bedroom and smirked, seeing you were already asleep, and he laid beside you and wrapped an arm around you.

He woke up a few hours later; Isabella was crying. He headed into the room and picked her up, comforting her with a smile.

"Daddy's here," he said as she wrapped her hand around his ring finger, and he smiled seeing her little fingers close to his wedding band. "Daddy's always gonna be here," he said, rocking her softly. He heard a knock on the door and carried Isabella carefully towards the door and opened it slowly.

Steve stood behind the door. He had a hand on the back of his neck as he looked out at his best friend holding his daughter just as you walked into the room.

"Buck, who's at the door?" You ask before you freeze as Bucky moves to the side, and Steve is standing there looking from you to Bucky and down at the little blonde-haired girl in Bucky's arms.

"Bucky, turn around," you say, and he backs away from you and turns his back, and holds Isabella close.

"How dare you!" You say as you slap Steve once and then again. "You left!" You say, and he reaches his hands out to grab ahold of yours. It's when he sees the rings on your finger.

"Y/N. I'm sorry. If I would've known, I wouldn't have left," he says, and you feel the tears building in your eyes.

"But you left Steve ... you left. You said you loved me, and you left," you shook your head. "I loved you, and you left," you said as you began to hit his chest before collapsing into his chest as he wrapped his arms around you.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," he said as he held you close against his chest. "I came back ... I came back," he said against your head. "I know you and Bucky are together ... but I have to be here for her," he said, and you look up at him and feel his fingers wiping your eyes.

"Can I hold her?" Steve asks, his voice slightly cracking.

"Yes," you whisper and have him sit down on the couch as you motion for Bucky to take Isabella over to Steve. He hands Isabella over carefully, and she looks up at the strange man and wiggles a little in his arms as tears roll from Steve's blue eyes down his cheeks.

"I'm sorry I left you, little Angel, but daddy's never leaving you again," Steve said as he leaned and kissed her head and took in the smell of his daughter for the very first time.

Tragedy (Steve Rogers x Reader)

You were nothing special, just a plain female that grew up in one of the burrows of New York and never left. That was, until the aliens showed up.

During that time, you were working in an art gallery. You weren't creating them, you didn't have that talent, you just placed them on the walls. Your mother owned the gallery so you were just a lifter when she didn't want to get her hands dirty.

You remember your mother screaming about all of the art that needed to get taken out before the place collapsed. She didn't care about you, just the art, so you did your best to please her. Heaving one of the bigger paintings over your head, you slowly made your way to the closest exit. A beam fell in front of you, blocking your path.

"Sweetie, hand me the painting," your mother said to you, holding out her hands to take it from you.

You almost cried at how she acted, but you held it in. The building could collapse at any moment, now wasn't the time to cry. You yelped as a hand grabbed your waist and pulled you through a newly made hole in the wall.

The alley you were pulled in was filled with smoke and soot, that was where your hero put you down. The man was blond, blue eyed, tall, handsome, and in spandex... weird.

"Are you alright," he asked, bending down to take a closer look at you.

"Physically, yeah. Thanks, for saving me."

"I'm not done just yet." Your hero grabbed your wrist and pulled you to where your mother stood, admiring the picture in her hands. "Ma'am, the next time you want to sacrifice something, let it be the painting, not your pretty daughter." The man walked away, mumbling abot how he couldn't believe he just did that.

You rushed towards him, yelling, "Wait, sir, who are you?"

He stopped and faced you with a smile. "I'm Captain America."

After that, you left home and began working somewhere else. That was when you met the Captain again and found out his name was Steve. The shoppe you worked at became his frequent lunch spot. You even got to meet the rest of the Avengers, including the flirtatious Tony Stark. You met him only once, though, you weren't sure why but thought a certain Captain might have had something to do with it.

Eventually, Steve finally asked you to be his girl and, of course, you agreed. You two were practically joined at the hip, you even slept in the same bed. Clothes were required and it took you ages to convince him you weren't going to fondue.

During this period of time, your mother tried to get a hold of you, but to no avail. You never answered the phone or door and if Steve was home he did it for you.

Here you were, sitting on the couch, controller in hand as you flipped through the stations. You sighed, gazing at the front door, longingly, waiting for him to come home. The door opened and you got to your feet, running to him.

Steve caught you in his arms, kissing you over and over before he set you down. "We need to talk and I think it's best if you sit down."

The words chilled you to the bone and all happiness that you just had, vanished. You sat back down on the couch while he sat on the coffee table. So many thoughts swam in your mind as to what was so serious.

Steve took your hands in his, looking down. "I need to tell you something. Fury wants me to move closer to one of the bases. Says I'm needed there in case of an emergency. I can't tell him no, so I'll be leaving at the end of the week."

Your face drooped, but you willed yourself to not cry. "I can't come with you, can I?"

"No, I can't bring anyone with me except for my future wife." Steve went silent, waiting for everything to register.

Your head shot up, your jaw dropped in shock. It took you a few moments before you spoke, "Steven Rogers, are you asking me to marry you?"

He nodded, placing a hand in his pocket and pulled out a small, black box. opening it to show a ring. "Will you marry me?"

You hugged him roughly, causing both of you to land on the floor. "Yes, Steve." You repeated the words until he placed the ring on your finger and kissed you.

Who knew that such a tragedy could cause the best thing to ever happen to you?

The smell of breakfast covered the house as you fixed it for your husband. He had work soon and you wanted to make sure he went on a full stomach. You hummed a favorite song as you set the plate of food down, grinning at the feeling of Steve's arms around your middle. He placed a kiss on your shoulder before sitting down, praying, and then devouring his meal.

You had been married for three years and they were the best years of your life. You had a simple wedding, much to the disappointment of Tony, and it was just the way both of you had wanted. The only people to show were a couple of friends you made after your move and the team from S.H.I.E.D. Natasha was the one that caught the bouquet which surprised everyone.

"Have a nice day at work," you said to Steve, giving him a peck on the lips.

"Where do you think you're going?" He took you by the hand and pulled you to him, planting a loving kiss on your mouth.

"I love you, Cap."

Steve smiled, kissing your forehead. "I love you too, hun. See you when I get home."

"I'll be waiting," you said with a smile before he walked out and you closed the door behind him. You grabbed the dirty dishes and washed them, sticking them in the dish drainer.

You occupied yourself during the day by going grocery shopping and coming home to do a couple of chores. Thankfully, after you were married, Fury gave Steve a raise as a wedding present which meant you didn't have to work anymore.

The home you shared was one that the agency had picked out, but it was so much to Steve's taste that you couldn't help but love it. A classic American home on a classic American street where Steve had no memories of being beat up.

That was also part of your breakfast plan, his past. It was getting closer to the day that marked the last of when Steve saw his friends in 1942. He was only twenty-four, but it was something he would never be able to forget. So you helped him through it, even when he mentioned Peggy Carter. Steve had also told you about her, and you knew that he still cared about her, but not the way he felt about you.

When everything you could think of was done, you sat down and picked up a book, knowing that your husband was in for a surprise when he got home. You couldn't help but hug the book to your chest, thinking of how the love of your life held it before he handed it to you. You shook your head at your schoolgirl antics and began to read.

The hours seemed to fly by and before you knew it, it was time to get in the kitchen. Placing the book down, you headed into the kitchen and began preparing the food. While you were working, Steve came home and called out for you.

"In here, Steve," you said, placing pots on the stove and a couple of steaks in the oven.

The blond entered the room only to be tackled by you in a hug. Steve chuckled and held you, giving you a soft kiss. "How was your day?"

"Could have been better," you told him, laying your head on his chest.

"How so?" Cap's fingers ran through your hair in a calming gesture.

You looked up at him with a smile. "You weren't here. Now go take your shower so we can eat." He gave you one last peck before he did as he was told.

Steve sat at the table, waiting for the finishing touches of the food. You smiled and set a plate down in front of him before doing so for yourself. The man said grace and was just about to pop a piece of steak into his mouth when you stopped him.

"What is it, dear?" He looked at you curiously.

"I gave you the wrong plate, this steak is too big. Here, let me switch them." Steve looked confused but said nothing as you switched them.

When Steve looked down to catch a pea, his eyes grew wide at what was there. Each green pea helped to form 'I'm pregnant.' His fork clattered to the plate before he stood up and grabbed you, spinning you around. "We're really having a baby?"

You giggled and kissed him. "Yes, Steve, you're going to be a father."

Even though it was close to the day that Steve considered a tragedy, this great news would replace it.

I love Stucky and I love Steggy but...

The fxking AUDACITY of marvel of putting the Stucky storyline into Steggy

In case y'all don't know, the titles of What ifs next season apparently are out and one seems to be Captain Carter or I think is Captain Britain against the Hydra Stomper aka non-serum Steve as the replacement for the Winter Soldier.

I loved watching Peggy become Cap and also my favorite Cap outfit is his stealth one at the beginning of Cap 2 so seeing Peggy in it was amazing for me.

BUT

I draw the line at this

For YEARS marvel has told us how Steve and Bucky's story is an epic FRIENDSHIP story, nothing more

But then the moment one of them becomes a female... suddenly it's an EPIC LOVE STORY!!!

FUCK YOU!!!

Bunch of cowards, seriously can't believe they hetero-washed stucky's story but you know what?

FINE!!

If with Stucky they decided to no-homo it at the end then I'll fucking no-hetero it too!!

I'm telling, I'M TELLING YOU, I'm just fxking waiting for that season 2 comes out because when I (pirate) watch it you bet your ass I'm gonna grab it just to make a fic about it reaching Endgame and have Steve backflip into the past to live with Bucky.

I don't care if they show Bucky married and with kids, I don't care if they even show Steve and Peggy kissing because Marvel has already been there and done that in their own MCU.

You gotta remember Marvel itself pushed Steve and Sharon and they literally share a kiss on screen and years later they choose to have Steve backflip into the past to stay with Peggy.

They where lucky they didn't explicitly show Peggy's husband so they conveniently went with that idiotic "he has been her husband all along" but it is obvious that she did move on and had a husband and kids of her own but decided to smack them.

So honestly Hydra Stomper Steve going back in time to be with Bucky is EXACTLY the same movement they did for MCU Steve.

I'm telling you I'm shaking I'm just waiting for that thing to come out to fcking pull that fic outta my ass and as shitty written as Steve's ending and it's gonna be so fxking on brand with what marvel has done.

So sure, steal that story, I'm fxking waiting to turn it into a Stucky one.

Ugh I can't believe I'm whining about Steve's ending again, like what is my life now?

Did Steve cuckold himself when he jumped to another timeline with Peggy?

Supposedly Steve created a new timeline where he lived with Peggy and jumped back to his original timeline just to give the shield to Sam, he made the jump around 1949 but that means there's another Steve there and that timeline's Steve is still in the ice...

What's gonna happen when that Steve is defrosted?

I guess the answer is the same as in the movies but it all narrows down if Steve made any changes in this timeline.

Remember in the other option of Steve's ending, the one explained by Endgame's screenwriters, since he goes back in his own timeline, he has a reason not to move anything so he can stay in his own timeline and reach where he gives Sam the shield, since he's able to stay without generating another timeline, it basically says that's how the timeline is supposed to be, that's where we get the whole "he's been Peggy Carter's husband all along" and creates a loop that, while there are two Steve's, it's the same Steve.

However with this other option, which I believe is also "confirmed" since it's said by the directors of Endgame and I think also in the MCU's new book which makes it the "canon", feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, he does generate a new timeline where he lives separate from his original timeline and just jumps back to give the shield to Sam, we can only infer he probably jumps back to it.

This however creates a new problem, this new timeline has his own Steve Rogers, this isn't an alternative reality where say Steve does die in the Valkyrie, Steve can't jump to other realities, he can only create new timelines when he deviates from it's intended story, it being him staying with Peggy instead of being frozen in the ice, this means in his original timeline, Peggy does in fact marry and has kids with someone else and let's remember Kang still makes sure the MCU timeline is separated from other timelines/realities, which means that even with the infinity stones, Steve can't jump to other realities, he probably doesn't even know they exists, he only knows he can create new timelines, not jump to other realities, which btw would inherently be different from his, the point of his time travel is to just deviate from his own timeline.

So let's go back to the initial question.

What happens when that timelines Steve is defrosted?

You can easily say it stays the same as in the movies and there's no issue except there is because that means that timeline's Steve is going to reach Endgame and just jump to yet another timeline, basically creating a loop of infinite Steve's making new timelines to be with Peggy.

This of course if Steve doesn't change anything, now in this new timeline, Steve has no reason to keep history the same, he knows he doesn't have to worry about repercussions on his original timeline, he knows he's in his own new one so he can do whatever he wants, he no longer has to hide from view in case he gets recognized like he would if he'd stayed in his own timeline, he can simply say he survived the crash and walked back

No one knows he's actually alive and frozen.

What does Steve do? Does he rescue Bucky sooner? Does he prevent Hydra from infiltrating SHIELD? What if Steve does in fact prevent Endgame from happening and creates his own idyllic timeline? Or as idyllic as he can with minor hiccups and no major catastrophic events and especially no Blip, but if he changes the timeline it still leaves out a major component

What does he do with that timeline's Steve?

What does that timeline Steve do if he wakes up to a world where an alt version of himself has been living there, with his girl, while he was frosted? And the other guy knew it?

Honestly the most chilling solution would have to be... if Steve made sure there was only one Steve in that timeline...

Which we know he wouldn't... would he?
