#off the top of my head almost every event in the narrative has a double#slash evil twin#gideon's confession to dulcinea followed by her getting caught out by silas#two duels with naberius; one that happened#one that was forestalled until nona#thinking about it a lot of the doubles that don't happen in GtN are actualised later in the series#esp the death of cavalier-necro pairs; palamedes dies first and camilla follows a year later while the 7th#5th 4th and 8th die togetherso to say#rip judith it's not looking good for you#unformed thoughts about the tridentarii and gothic incest as another form of doubling is percolating#anyway everything is doubled and mirrored and it's driving me nuts
