I would bet so much money on if Stranger Things were mostly centered around women, especially if Will were a lesbian, the show wouldn’t be as popular as it is. If the party were mostly made up of girls rather than boys, it wouldn’t have even gotten a second season. A show centered around a missing lesbian that later develops a major lesbian storyline? Yeah it would’ve been scrapped immediately.

And before you say that the show centers around El, I mean that a majority of the characters we follow on the show are men. Out of the main recurring characters, there are double the amount of men compared to women. If that was flipped, I highly doubt the show would have garnered as much attention as it did.
