i think its fun to see them explore mods, and varied gameplay, and varied stakes and test each other's adaptability each time, i think adaptability has been a large theme of the life series i havent seen many speak about and can often be the make or break of whether a player does well or not, and i love analysing the way people's personalities influence their gameplay and how someone's gameplay speaks about their personalities etc lol. anyway im also biased bc joel won and i dont want to be mean about the series joel won in. because he genuinely did so good lol. he was adaptable and level headed and reliable and i was soooo proud of him throughout the whole series because he's come so far, because it's a culmination of everything hes gone through. each player, and especially joel rn, has grown tremendously throughout the series and i think its fun having this growth - whether the growth has been positive or negative - be challenged constantly.

i think the main problem with the reception of this series, and with the reception of.. every new life series since last life ngl, is twofold; i think due to how dramatic and intense third life and last life got depending on which pov you watched, as well as the mythologisation from the fandom itself, there is this expectation of the life series being the intense, heart wrenching, tragic roleplay series when it was always meant to be a fun competitive improv series where they got to mess around and let go of their inhibitions. because near everyone in this series comes from established smps that are peaceful or highly controlled when it comes to conflict due to the amount of work poured into builds and storylines, so having a sort of anarchy server always felt to me like their way of letting go of these rules they always abide by and go wild. meanwhile, i think when you play minecraft for a living for longer than some of your viewers have been alive, there is a real danger of it getting horribly, intensely, soul-suckingly stale. furthermore, when you have a wide breadth of skill and experience like the life series has within its members, you WANT things to be varied and sometimes even unbalanced to give each players a chance. it might sound counter intuitive, but the thing is that it HAS worked, to a relative extent. there is already this kind of "going with the motions" feeling that is instilled in the members, and has been for a good few seasons. it is noticeable. and when you are the game master, it is even more noticeable. it is expected of the game master to vary the gimmicks and premise in order to keep the game from being predictable both for its players and for the viewers.

i think sometimes it doesn't always land, because the truth is there is only so much testing you can do in a series that is about surprising not just the viewers but the players (and where the players not fully knowing what is to expect is a core point of the series*). not only is there only so much testing you can do to make sure it doesn't impact gameplay too much, but also so much testing you can do to make sure it doesn't impact dynamics too much, and the viewer experience. and then the question is: when you do realise, maybe an episode or two in, what do you even do? a ton of work (and potentially money) has been poured into setting this up. so what do you do? do you continue? do you tweak it mid-season, potentially breaking the complex mods put in place? do you just stop it? do you like, apologise to your fanbase -- "sorry guys, this one was a dud!" ??

like, genuinely. what do you do in this situation? and what do you do when something you would've expected to be a labour of love, with input from the fanbase even, is received in such a way? im not saying "uwu think of the creators feelings" or whatever, they make more in a month than i make in a year. but i do sympathise with them because when creating an episodic and improv series like this there is very little you can do if you see it not going the way you or the fanbase wanted. i personally enjoyed it, even if some bits fell a bit flat, because there were good moments and i thought a bunch of the gimmicks were funny, and i thought they challenged the players in interesting ways. although they are linked and this link IS important to the series as a whole, i like to let each season stand on its own as its own experience as well -- and imo this one does stand. depending on what you want out of the series, the gimmicks might've taken too much of a centre stage, maybe they were too intrusive, maybe they kept players from interacting in a way you enjoy. i tend to take it as kind of... what it is, with an episodic, improv series made by people who are neither professional nor trained storytellers or game developpers (well tango was a game dev wasn't he, but tango isn't the admin of the server so that doesn't even matter anyway)

*you wouldnt think surprise is a core point of the series, but it is. ive already said many times but third life would not be as it was if it wasnt for the fact that no one knew what to expect from the series. they didnt think it would get competitive so fast, they didnt think it would get so dramatic and intense and involved so fast. they didnt think the scarcity of resources would be such a hot topic so fast, etc, etc, etc. you literally hear it so often in various povs in third life, especially grian's though i think, how they just didnt expect the series to have such a feeling. furthermore, theres a clear shift in the series when murders start truly happening. there will never be another series like third life because the only way to have a series like third life is to erase the players memory. since that's impossible, the closest thing grian can get to is introducing strange and unexpected gimmicks to their gameplay.

OOC: The future of angelxxreaper (and our other bedrockverse blogs)

Hello everyone, I’m Cam, I’m the one who writes axxr (along with my co-host Phthalo). I just figured I’d write something quick to try to explain what’s happening over here in light of casinoroyale and songbird-sunrise’s announcements.

First off, I would like to say, thank you for sticking with this blog for 2+ years. You guys made this experience very fun for me and I really enjoyed writing this blog for you. We would never have made it if it weren’t for your continued support and questions. For that, genuinely thank you.

I have and will be taking a massive stepback from writing this blog. A lot of things have happened in my personal life that have made it hard for me to continue writing this blog, along with the fact that my interest in the Dream SMP has dwindled significantly. Additionally, writing emerald duo, while very fun, has also been causing us a lot of grief for Techno and has been making it very hard for us to continue.

As of right now, I still feel physically ill any time I go onto Tumblr over the stress and grief I’ve been experiencing lately with school and my family life. I do hope one day that I will be able to feel better enough to continue writing, but maybe not as angelxxreaper.

We may post some of our drafts, maybe not, and I am sad that we never got to do, and probably will never do, a lot of plans that we had for this blog. However, I’m not upset about where we left Phil. Thunder and I may write an official happy ending for subtotechno and axxr, but the idea of an official end is very sad to the both of us so I don’t know if we ever will. In the event that we don’t, please imagine them happily living their lives together, with Techno’s huge zoo and maybe them going out on another adventure to take over the world on another server again.

This isn’t to say that I will never ever write another rp blog again. I still very much adore roleplaying, Philza, hardcore and the colorzas. I may make a comeback in another way soon (I’m very much addicted to roleplaying still). But please don’t expect anything official.

As a final note, if I never come back to this blog again, thank you guys for the unending support and thank you to the other bedrockverse mods (especially Thunder, Holly and Atlas) for allowing me to be apart of your silly little roleplays. I had a lot of fun and these blogs (and you lot) were always the highlight of my day <3 I’m not very good about the thought of things ending, (I’m crying as I write this), but should this be final, think about this not as a loss but as a graduation. We’re off to tackle some other things.

What is each character's and yours favourite weather?

Headcanoning that Evil english would just be slang. From all centuries combined. So like. "Hii, how goes't doing? We sh0ulda sl@y on dis mew1ng rendezvous cuz YOLO n me fam iz gonna bee there. Omg did ya 1nv1te that anti-skibidi loose woman with negative rizz 2?? Damn, ur a real hater." (Hi, how is it going? We should try our best at this gym session because you only live once and my friends are going to be there. Oh my god, did you invite that childish ugly prostitute too? Wow, you are a real asshole.). Like, can you just imagine Wilbur actually speaking like that? Just.. casually? Sounds great to me. (I dare you to try and write a sentence in that style.)

Which any characters from Fault would you want to have as plushies? What types of plushies would they bee, do you think? (Tommy as a weighted plushie because of that drawing on him sleeping on Phil and them both being in denial about his size?)

1.It’s from a small scp server with irl friends. The plot lines were crazy. It’s been dead for over a year, but I’m the funniest guy alive and wanted to share the highlights.

2. I personally like the wtnv weather, and thunderstorms. Tubbo hates rain and wind and cold for bee reasons. Actually I think all of them hate the rain, Tommy gets worried about contamination, The Blade takes forever to dry and smells awful, Wilbur rarely had a roof over his head. Phil’s probably fine since he can just evaporate it and has nice wings for umbrellas. But he personally likes when it’s scorching, since he likes sunning himself like a lil lizard. The Blade likes the wind, how it ruffles through his fur and allows him to smell really far which is good if Foundation goons are coming. Wilbur goes for overcast days, since too bright can sometimes limit the effectiveness of the void. Also a very slight wind, not too much to move its hair from blocking the void but also enough that movements beneath can be handwaved as a breeze. Tommy prefers colder weather, since he wears sleeves a lot.

3. Oh God. Yes I think Wilbur could deffo speak like that, since I think a component is distinguishing between modern and archaic terms since otherwise it would have a very different speech pattern. Wilbur would know what skibidi means even if I don’t. Let’s see.

4.I want a The Blade plush sooo much. So incredibly fluffy. I think he’s one of the reversible plushies where the other form is a blood splattered Blood God. Tommy should be a little chibi head with the weight to it so kids can chuck him at each other and get in trouble with their mom. Tubbo too and they have little charms attached, like some bees and little representations for the Hive. Phil is in dragon form, super long, and has a wire so you can position him in loops and what not. Wilbur is frowning in a cute way and the void is a pocket where you can store snacks and whatnot.

OK SO. the animations family.

first off i have to explain the QSMP a bit. the QSMP (nobody's really sure what the q stands for afaik) is a multilingual minecraft smp that first started in march 2023. the original server roster was 16 players, half of whom were hispanic and half who were english speakers. (this was bc quackity, the guy who came up with the server and did all the planning and stuff, is bilingual and wanted to unite his two communities). one of these original 16 was jaiden animations (this is important). on the first day of the server, these 16 members were stranded in a place called Quesadilla Island, which is controlled by a mysterious and sinister Federation (run by a weird little guy named Cucurucho)

okay, you know the trope of science projects where you get split up into pairs and have to take care of an egg together? they literally did that. All of the players were split into pairs of one spanish-speaker and one english-speaker, and tasked with taking care of an egg (actually a special NPC played by a server admin). the eggs started out with two lives each, and once those lives were out, the egg's gone for good, and your in-game child is dead. (this is a secret surprise tool that will help us later!)

one of these parenting pairs was jaiden animations and roier, and their egg's name was bobby. bobby was a rambunctious little fella- artistic, brave, very aggressive- and an absolute mama's boy. jaiden, roier, and bobby (aka the animations family) all got along very well, and tbh i need to go rewatch jaiden's vods of them bc they were so sweet together. jaiden changed her minecraft skin to match bobby's so they were both wearing overalls together.

jaiden's character (or cubito, a word from the spanish speaking community that essentially means "minecraft roleplay character" that p much the whole community uses now bc its so damn cute) was aroace (just like jaiden in real life!), so she and q!roier were in a qpr co-parenting situation. and it was really sweet and i miss them. can you tell i miss them.

now, astute readers may have noticed that i use "was" for both jaiden and bobby. on may 17th, 2023, bobby lost his second life to a vindicator and was ruled permanently dead. roier was there at the time, I believe, but was unable to save bobby in time. when jaiden found out, she SCREAMED and it was like. you know in hamilton how when phillip dies eliza screams? it sounded like that. (she also chased after the sunset while saying "wait for me" over and over again, it was really heartbreaking and im still a little bit insane about this).

the next day, the whole server went on a journey to the dungeon bobby died in, to plead with cucurucho for his revival. cucurucho refused to bring bobby back permanently, but allowed jaiden and roier ten minutes to talk with him and say their goodbyes. bobby asked them to remember him every time they saw a sunset.

(^ the last time the whole animations family was together. this was 9.5 months ago).

neither q!jaiden nor q!roier ever really fully recovered from bobby's death (although id say jaiden was hit way harder due to not having a support system outside of roier and cucurucho, who took advantage of her grief to manipulate her). there are some other things that happened here, such as q!roier getting married to a cellbit, a brazilian player working as a double agent of sorts within the federation, and purgatory (all the players were teleported to an island, separated into three groups, and forced to fight one another. in the end the island got blown up by a nuke).

on sunday, cc!jaiden talked about her qsmp character, ultimately stating that she was taking a long break from the server, that she had given the admins permission to do whatever they want with her character's absence, and essentially announced that unless the admins stated otherwise, q!jaiden had died in the nuke explosion in purgatory, firmly destroying the animations family.

(to me, the saddest part is that, recently, new eggs were assigned to groups of childless players, and both jaiden and roier got the chance to raise new eggs, with jaiden being assigned to empanada and roier currently being pepito's sole active parent. and all q!jaiden wanted was to be a mom. she died never knowing she had a second chance to rebuild her family. i am no okay.)

in conclusion:

THE LOVE WAS THERE AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I AM CRYING IN REAL LIFE I MISS HER SO BAD. SHE'S WITH BOBBY NOW.

I made these guys all the way back in October 2023, when I was a bit less than halfway through the comic. They were originally made for a roleplay server but I got too burnt out from school to actually join, and my anxiety was acting up. They're moirails, and wear each other's colors to show that :D

Iridia's the first fantroll I've ever made, she's not exactly supposed to be a trollsona but she kind of started out that way and I did pour all of the anxieties I had at the time into her when I created her, and also gave her my love of cardigans and drawing, her outfit is modeled after one of mine, and we have the same pronouns. So we have some similarities!

Iridia is incredibly scared of the future, she's constantly burnt out and all she wants to do is stay home and draw forever. She struggles to make meaningful connections with people, and is pretty sure she won't live longer than 10 sweeps. Luckily she's not completely alone in the world, she has her moirail and her lussus!

I made Galani because I realized that Iridia would simply not survive alone in the world, and then as I fleshed aer out to contrast to her I got really attached. A lot of parts of her are also inspired by parts of myself! But maybe a bit less

her deal is basically that he has a huge hero complex. He carries herself with a lot of confidence, which he mostly feels, but he gets very upset if he doesn't feel he's living up to the standard of being "heroic" that he's set up for herself.

Galani can get pretty in shines head about issues of morality.

Hey, I know this isn’t exactly the type of post you would normally see from me, since I’ve stopped being so active. But if you’re into the Saints Row fandom and you like to RP, there is someone you should absolutely watch out for. On here, they go by Ashrain. On discord, they go by 🍓✨s o f t s t r a w b e r r y✨🍓

I’m part of a roleplay server on discord, and they had joined for a few days. But over the short time they were there, they’ve harassed a lot of members, including the mods in charge. To top it all off, they were acting very immature when they got called out for their behavior.

An example of their harassment - for context, one of the mods, ZJ, was involved in a 1x1 RP with Ashrain. ZJ hadn’t responded in a few days, which to an average role player is disappointing but understandable. People do have lives outside of fandom, y’know? Anyway- ZJ vented about their elderly dog possibly passing away very soon, and what did Ashrain do? Call them awful names over not responding to a stupid chat.

I urge you guys to please NOT harass Ashrain, just try to avoid them as much as possible. Stay safe.

Hello there, I have a possibly long question. I have never been apart of the dsmp or the mcyt or anything but have been vaguely aware of the whole server and such bc of tumblr. I thought I saw recently they stopped streaming? But today it's trending again so I'm assuming there's a new season with the qsmp? I've been thinking about starting to watch but I have no idea where to start or what to do for mini history lessons or anything.

If willing, could you explain the difference or have any yt videos so I can learn some backstory or anything. I wanna join but it seems overwhelming yk?

This is gonna be a long one, bear with me

So, first you must know that DSMP and QSMP are two different SMPs, so two completely different servers, they're not actually connected through lore, so you don't need to know anything about DSMP to start QSMP, you'll only miss some very minor references to the DSMP story, but that's done and the characters are completely different from the ones in the QSMP. Think less of a second season to a same story or even something in the same franchise and more a new series where part of the cast used to act for another series together before and sometimes they'll throw in some cheeky refences

Some terms you need to know first:

cc!Name = content creator Name (so like, the irl person, not the character)

c!Name = character name (the roleplay character, not the irl person, coined by the DSMP and thus used mostly for DSMP characters specifically)

q!Name = qsmp c!Name (to be more specific about the server)

k!Name = karmaland c!Name (Karmaland is a very famous spanish speaking server with a bunch of season in which Quackity played in season 5, some of the spanish speakers come from there and Quackity's possible romantic tension with Luzu also comes from there)

The QSMP is Quackity's server, where the main thing is that Quackity as a mexican bilingual guy who for the longest time streamed in english and this past years started streaming in spanish and growing a new spanish community, joins both of his communities, bringing spanish speaking and english speaking streamers together

They all have their own perspectives you can choose to follow and the server is less than a month old, so you're in high time to cath up! Wilbur for example has only 3 streams up to now as he went away for 28 days

The main story is that all the streamers were brought into Quesadilla island on strange trains, none of them knowing why. Once there, they had to solve some puzzles to give the island electric power again. Once done, they were alerted of a button placed high up on a wall separating the island in two, with half of them on one side and half on the other. They were told by a duck who manages the island that they should never press the button

So they press the button and the wall explodes. At this point they're told they can now never leave, so they better make themselves comfortable

A bit later, the duck tells them a massive dragon used to inhabit the island, but due to their noisiness, it flew away leaving behind eggs. So everyone on the island adopted them from an adoption center the duck set up, in pairs chosen randomly with tickets where the only rule was that every spanish speaker was to be paired with an english speaker and vice versa

So they all have kids to take care of until the dragon comes back now, under the threat of each egg having 2 lives, where everyone has tondo daily challenges and tasks to keep them alive, being told that uf the egg dies they'll be punished once the dragon comes back

There's a lot of lore with the eggs in the little time they've been present. The most famous ones are probably Juanaflippa (Charlie Slimecicle and Mariana's trans daugher, who was accidentally killed by Mariana, brought back to life after a trial with Charlie ready to kill the whole server for her, and accidentally getting killed by Mariana again), Tilín (Quackity's enby kid, his other parent was a mystery between Wilbur and Luzu, the two ones not present for the event and constantly away, with Quackity outright declaring Wilbur to be his absent partner now that he came back but Luzu having later on pulled the ticket to Tilín's egg. Tilín died to an accident by Slime's hand. Quackity blames himself a but and wants revenge, he is grieving and suffering and is unloading it onto Wilbur, trying to get him to help in killing the culprit for his kid's death, with Wilbur accepting not knowing it's Charlie, whom he considers his best friend) and more recently, Tallulah (a secret egg Wilbur found on the attic of the adoption center just yesterday, who looks exactly like him and is now his daughter. Quackity, grieving and feeling like Wilbur is mocking him by having a daughter when he wasn't there when Tilín was, almost killed her as soon as Wilbur left, but decided not to at the last second, becoming emotional)

I'll give you a very quick (it's a two year thing, this is still long as hell, sorry) rundown of the very basics of the DSMP story that could be referenced (specifically by Wilbur and Quackity):

In the DSMP everyone has 3 canon lives.

Wilbur made a nation with his little brother figure Tommy, it was called L'manburg and they had to fight a war for its independence. After some treason and losses (everyone lost one life against an ex trusted comrade, Eret, brunging all of L'manburg down to 2 lives), they eventually win it (with Tommy down to 1 life) and Wilbur becomes president because nobody opposed it. Later on, Wilbur tries to make a show election to make his power seem more legitimate and get his people to listen to him, this comes back to bite him in the ass however, when newcomer Quackity says he's gonna run before they can close the ballot, so now there's 2 opposing parties. As the elections approach, Wilbur and Tommy get a drunk old guy called Schlatt whom they knew as an endorsement for their party, but Schlatt says "fuck you actually, I'm announcing I'm gonna run too", so now there's 4 parties (Wilbur's son, Fundy, announces he'll run too, but that doesn't get too far). Wilbur proposes to Quackity to make a coalition only in case Schlatt wins, so they'd join their votes only if Schlatt overtook them, and Quackity, left with a clear disadvantage in that scenario, decides to do a coalition with Schlatt, where joining votes, Schlatt would be president, with Quackity as his vice. Schlatt and Quackity (Schlatt 2020 + SWAG 2020) win against Wilbur and Tommy (POG 2020), and Schlatt exiles them, killing Wilbur as they ran away (leaving Wilbur with 1 life)

Now exiled, Wilbur and Tommy make a home in a ravine called Pogtopia, with Wilbur's paranoia, trauma and self hatred growing by the hour. Lots of stuff happens, Wilbur becomes very suicidal, there's new people, there's treason, Quackity, abused by Schlatt as his now husband, takes one of his lives and joins Pogtopia. Wilbur is now convinced he is the bad guy, the one responsible for everything bad happening and that the only way to make things right is to kill both himself and his creation. He wants to blow up L'manburg and he's not planning to come out of it alive. Everyone else doesn't pay enough attention to notice how awful he's doing so they don't quite see this coming even though they stopped him in a few if his attempts on his own life

Technoblade joins them not long after they're exiled, a good friend of Wilbur's father and an amazing warrior on their side. Technoblade bends against pressure and kills an ally during a festival made to mock them

The final war of Pogtopia vs Manburg happens, Schlatt dies of a hear attack, shocked, Wilbur is declared president, who declares Tommy president in his place, who declares their friend Tubbo presiden in his place. Wilbur disappears saying he'll come back in a bit. He'w going to the button room connected to the TNT he planted under L'manburg

Phil, Wilbur's father, comes, trying to talk to him, asking if he's sure of what he's doing. Wilbur, overcome by sadness, blows up L'manburg and asks for Phil to kill him. Phil stabs him with a fire aspect sword, killing him

Technoblade unleashes withers, opposing the mere idea of government and betraying the Pogtopians, making the explosion damage even worse

Now without Wilbur, L'manburg rebuilds, with a vital missing piece. Ghostbur, Wilbur's ghost appears and reveals a LOT about just how traumatized, anxious, depressed and paranoid Wilbur was from the beginning, crying on his pillow every night as president. Lots of stuff happens, Tubbo is trying to deal with the pressure of being president while the people who tried to squash their nation from the very beginning (mainly Dream) are trying to manipulate him and drive him into a corner. He exiles Tommy. Tommy gains a fuck ton of trauma and almost tries to commit suicide after a while, deciding not to at the last second

Quackity meanwhile, now as part of the cabinet, wants to take revenge against Techno. He goes to hunt him down, taking him to be executed. Techno saves himself with a totem and has a confrontation with Quackity, where he win by, in his own words, putting a pickaxe through Quackity's teeth. Now Quackity has a massive scar in his face and a blind eye

L'manburg is later destroyed by Phil, Techno and Dream, betraying everyone again and leaving them all hurting and homeless. Ghostbur considers being revived as he believes himself to be useless, as Wilbur was good at rallying people (yes, this is an extension of Wilbur's suicidal ideation). The attempts at revival don't quite work

Quackity makes his own nation surrounding the idea of a casino, Las Nevadas, he's rich and powerful and finally the president

Wilbur gets revived after an incident where trying to kill dream, Tommy gets Ghostbur killed with Dream's revivebook (long story, just accept that that exists)

Quackity meets a slime pretending to be a person and starts to teach him about the world. He calls him Charlie. Charlie ends up making him reflect and teaching him about the futility of the cycle of revenge

Quackity loses Charlie to this very cycle, getting him killed by Purpuled for something Quackity did

Wilbur, fucked up mental health wise as ever and lacking purpose, goes into Las Nevadas, trying to join but getting denied for being "too volatile"

Wilbur decides to set up a rival burger business just outside the Las Nevadas borders out of pettiness, and Quackity, exactly as petty as him, runs with it and spites him even more

Their whole thing at this point is very gay. They flirted since the start of this whole story, but by this point Wilbur's slipping about Quackity being hot, he says he doesn't quite have a crush "yet" definitely. Quackity's staring at him through his windows while he twirls poker chips around his fingers, admitting to himself that he's excited about whatever bullshit Wilbur will try to make up to annoy him this week, preparing himself for Wilbur to enter his office with fully served glasses and a cool pose that leaves Wilbur momentarily speechless. It's gay as hell

Quackity offers Wilbur to be his vice. Wilbur sees it as insulting and refuses. Wilbur attempts to verbally stomp Quackity but gets verbally smited himself

Wilbur decides to kill Quackity's old horse as a symbol of Quackity forgetting his roots. This goes horribly wrong and they both accidentally kill Ranboo, a friend and Wilbur's now coworker

Wilbur blames himself and goes on an apology tour, trying to say his goodbyes for the last time

After apologizing to Tommy, wilbur "goes to Utah, where he comes from" (this can be interpreted in two ways: as him literally going to Utah and getting away, or as a metaphor for death, indicating Wilbur probably took his own life again, as he said in his mind the perfect afterlife was a desert and showed himself to still be very suicidal during all of this. This is referenced cheekily in QSMP with cc!Wilbur saying "Minecraft Uath doesn't exist and is definitely not a metaphor for death /s")

Quackity, having lost Charlie, goes on about it in a very normal way and makes an army of slimes, trained to be exactly like Charlie. Purpuled and Punz (two bounty hunters) get what remais of Slime and prepare him to go against Quackity. There's a fight, Charlie takes Quackity's second life

Now defeated, Quackity rescinds the cycle of revenge, apologizing as well, leaving even a letter at the place where Wilbur was last seen and one st Techno's house, and he finally opens his casino

You're the fnaf mutual so I'm going to overthink in your inbox for two seconds. The company in game and books is aware of the terrible past, and is using old code to speed up programming things (the mimic joke here) but what if they are using more of the old technology from the old fnaf pizza places? Wouldn't giving their main attractions actual souls make them more life like and relatable to the public? You can literally talk with Freddy Fazbear, he has a personality and everything, isn't that amazing kids give us your parents money. They certainly used certain parts of the funtime designs for the glamrocks, that ice-cream cake and pinata chest cavity wasn't originally designed for that purpose. The scooper apparently still exists, if it's the original one how much soul juice does it still have/had in it?

I like the idea of greedy corrupt company going into an area and not realizing the consequences because they are too busy looking at the money. Not knowing all of the fine details about everything, not realizing how dire the consequences could get, with money-making in the way to blind them further. I don't know if they're getting this detailed with the story though, I'm just throwing stuff at a wall

I'm very tired so if possible I'll try to add on in the morning but this is pretty tricky to answer bc we got a lot from HW2 but not the main answers we were looking for.

I'm pretty confident rn that none of the animatronics are haunted, just super advanced AI (as was suppose to be the case in Sl before Pizzeria Sim happened(?)) otherwise the mimic virus wouldn't have corrupted them, Freddy not being affected may just have been bad writing or safe mode just wiped it out of him somehow idk. Also they make it quite clear almost all the souls have moved on besides a few.

The only thing we don't know about is all the Nightmarionne imagery, possibly/most likely a ghost that just refused to move on bc they knew what the company was doing and wants them to suffer. Dying on your birthday at Freddy's is one thing, but fianlly killing your murderer only for the company to profit off your death is another. And than to top it off a random endoskeleton LEARNS about William and decided to become him? What a fucking nightma(ionne)!

From how I look at it SL was the branching off point for the advanced AI. Baby was a very advanced AI and the literal ringleader of the operation, she would use Ballora and FT Foxy as lures/distractions while she killed the kids and got FT Freddy to help hide the mess. She was also keen on manipulation "faking" being Elizabeth to earn the nightguard's trust and sympathy so she can scoop out his insides and live inside of him till the body rotten so much they had to stop their collaborative roleplay server for being outdated and jump ship. With this ultimately leading to Baby being kicked out for abusing admin.

Also about the Glamrocks using the Funtime's design, I think this was done so the company could cover the fact their animatroncis were literally designed to kill kids. Like oh no no the Freddy hatch was just for cake! See??? Just a simple reuse of the design to deflect instead of actually being the same design itself. Baby's was easier to defend bc she also literally did use it to produce ice cream, I'm guessing the claw was turned into a hand in HW2 because Scott looked at that and went "okay thats a bit too obvious lemme tweak it a bit" or someone at SW suggested the changed and Scott said yes bc it makes more sense. Chica's voicebox may have also been a reuse of FT Foxy's and Ballora's lures but thats more of a stretch.

Pizzeria Sim is,,,something. Baby's characterization basically goes out the window and she fully claims to be Elizabeth. Now a lot of people just accepted Baby really is Elizbaeth (which is the canon answer but idc). While in SL that was ambiguous (bc she was a manipulative genius!) All that gets pushed aside in Pizzeria Sim. What I like to think is that after being kicked out of Ennard and being apart of it for so long she just kinda lost herself, who was she? She wasn't Baby anymore she lost herself, her look, the hold she had on those around, she was like a lost child in that moment...maybe she was a lost child? Maybe she really was Elizabeth this whole time? And in that moment of weakness she fully convinced herself that she WAS Elizabeth, she was William's daughter, his creation.

In HW2 I just want to note, as other have, how Baby feels different. Shes her old self back from good old SL. Now you might say well yes of course she is, she doesnt get like that till Pizzeria Sim. But it should also be noted on how emphasize was placed on her and her alone, not the other Funtimes, and not certainly not Scrapbaby. They wanted to emphasize SL's Baby, the "advanced AI". What I'm hoping this is that its a roll back on the character, not necessarily a retcon but trying to fix her character a bit with how it was fucked in Pizzeria Sim.

So basically SL was the introduction of the advanced AI era, Pizzeria Sim got rid of most of the spirits (and helped trapped William in hell in UCN) and made the companies ads literally help fuck you over on nights which is pretty on the nose looking back, and SB was our formal introduction to the new era of Fazbear Ent and its consequences with HW2 tying them all into one game/one era (HW going up to SL and HW2 having SL and after in it)

Or maybe I just pulled most of that out of my ass bc when it boils down Baby ACTUALLY being Elizabeth and being such a "daddy's girl" instead of the manipulative genius she was in SL literally ruined her character in general idk (like yeah shes a traumatized child but the way it just happens still kinda sucks) . And also again I'm tired as hell!

I love my fucked up guy. I love him so much you have no idea. 6+ years of having this little fella in my "Jetfield" Undertale AU, can you believe that!!

River - 15 y/o

After a long and hard couple of years living with their father leading up to his disappearance, River and Jay take over the house and River gets himself a small job working at Torch's metaphysical shop in the city. Jay starts volunteering and doing odd jobs around town, which it turns out he's very good at! They both want to move out of Jetfield when they can, but the city does a very good job of getting monsters stuck in its hold.

In this design, River's claws are finally starting to grow in, albeit late. His features are rounder and less defined, and his sockets still have a less distinctive shape. River wears lots of blues, purples, and greys to match his love of space. He gets scolded more than once for buying space-themed objects that he absolutely does not need.

River - 16-17 y/o

River is taken to the hospital after humans kill his brother, and try to do the same to him. Starts showing signs of intense paranoia that lead to delusions and hallucinations. Late 15 when this happens, spends his 16th and 17th birthdays both within the walls of the hospital. Stress is triggering previous DT usage in his body, causing his right socket to start to warp. Bandaids have become a coping mechanism, given to him sometimes by a kinder doctor — Delta Yarrow (@quizlythenerd 's OC in the server). His right leg starts deteriorating, and doctors break it further for use in his assigned experiment (DT usage in fusion of lost limbs). His memory gets worse and worse with each passing day.

In this design, his claws have developed and he uses them frequently on himself. Sometimes staff members catch a stray scratch or two during outbursts. River's bones are greying from physical and mental stress, and have become more brittle. The scar across his neck is from a random roleplay a few years ago (that clearly didn't end well). Notice some of his bandaids are brown instead of colorful — these are from other, more reluctant staff members that just needed to cover scratches. He doesn't like those ones as much, and typically replaces them with Delta's after wounds have healed.

Evermore - 18-19 y/o

No current graphic for this fella, but I have some info!

After a particularly bad outburst that ends with the hospitalization (and later death) of an important figure in the hospital, River is punished severely for this accident. He is restrained while doctors cut off the right leg completely (about mid-femur), forced to stay awake for the procedure, and then injected with a normally lethal dose of Determination and thrown in a room with a raven monster to melt. The resulting amalgamate is dubbed "Evermore", because staff members would try to get it to repeat the word "nevermore" and laugh when it couldn't get the whole pronunciation down.

The figure's death leads to public outrage, so the hospital erases public records of River and claims he was "punished for his actions", implying he was killed through the justice system. Previous patient friends lose sight of him, his room ID is changed. Nobody knows where he went, so to patients, he's assumed to have succumbed to the hospital. Meanwhile Evermore is locked in his room for weeks on end.

Silver - 20+ y/o

After the hospitals near-success in putting Evermore out of its misery, he's taken to a new hospital out of the country to treat his conditions. He spends a little over 18 months here, in and out of new treatments while they try to figure out how the hell to fix this guy. Samuel Smith and Zef Merrado (@intriheart 's characters in previous RPs) devise a plan to stabilize his body and remove the excess determination, and from there it's a group effort to get Evermore Silver back on his feet. Talons? Foot and talon? Whatever. When he's well enough to get on the right medications and live on his own, Silver is given the financial and mental support to go out into the world. He finds a roommate in the city of Darten who turns out to also be from Jetfield, but he has no solid recollection of the previous hospital — let alone memories of the two meeting and becoming friends.

In this design, his bones are a little brighter with color increase to indicate recovery. His claws have grown longer, and curve in more from his time with the raven. The bone surrounding his right socket is more fragile, and has become easily damaged after a few close calls with the sidewalk. He's very ashamed of the feather-like markings across his skull, and the leg that regularly gets him odd stares. They serve as a stark reminder of where he's from. He opts for regular bandaids now, and keeps his sleeves loose to prevent him thinking too much about restraints on his arms. Not pictured is the faint quill knobs left on his arms from his feathers as Evermore.

@bookworm-2692 - Very minor #ridspoilers - Pixels Imperfect

Wheeze... I am unfortunately obsessed with Grian's Snail, but the reasons why are extremely specific to my lore and would not make sense to ramble about in liveblog posts.

You get me... The existence of a sentient build that Grian adores in Season 10 is a metaphor for him embracing the beauty of the digital world he accidentally fell into and can never leave... It's about growing from being the person he was in early Dog's Life (who implied to Joel's face that he could break Hermes to prove he's "just an armor stand") to someone who has found his own sparked thing to love.

The origin of the snails is a Whole Thing. And probably something that will never come up in-story because even though I think it's fun to talk about The Implications, I feel like it would be confusing for readers looking for Hermitcraft 'fics to find one-shots that are dedicated to very specific snail-spawning lore. It's about Respect and Character Arcs...

Grian happens to be neighbors with someone who is known for spawning way too many sparks when his firefly traits go from 0 to 100 on full moon nights, much to the eternal annoyance of the "totally not obsessed" soulmate who actually wants to spawn a spark with him.

Joel takes no responsibility because he handles his full moon behaviors by asking chat if anyone needs anything sparked and if they say yes, he'll donate his spark. If he trusts a person not to get romantically involved, he'll make a silly bit of it. Otherwise he'll just show up, bonk them on the forehead, and leave. Never speak of it again.

-> I like to think Sausage specifically came to Joel pre-Empires 2 and asked permission to roleplay the Hermes plot with him, and Joel agreed because Sausage is his friend and it dovetailed nicely into Joel's own plans for roleplaying as a Zeus-like god. If you ask Joel directly, though, he'll insist it was a one-night stand because that's the roleplay. He's not going to break the immersion... that's weird.

Anyway, that brings us back around to Joel's body issues (drawing from the "self-conscious of my Minecraft body" canon we saw in Double Life) and why he chooses to run around as a modded player to tamp down his firefly behaviors. We know from Dog's Life, that worked well until he lost his mods, and from that point on, he just has to redirect his energy into other things.

He's usually found near Lizzie on full moon nights because it's a lot easier to switch from "flirt with everybody" to "flirt with my wife" (compared to resource gathering or building).

Joel coming onto Hermitcraft and spawning Tiny Tom really messes with Etho's head- in the Pixels canon, Tom was running around for the rest of Season 9 and would just show up in their bases, so sometimes Etho had the little guy hanging out with him, leaving him to wonder how Joel is okay just casually sparking things and not committing to them. How can he just show up on a server that's not his own, spark something, and leave forever?

Etho wants to spawn a spark because he's never done it before and thinks it would be fun... He feels obligated to maintain this image of "being a hero who never asks for anything" and it is very much falling apart during the general timeframe we see in Pixels Imperfect. He has this idealized version of Joel in his mind- Joel gets to do anything he wants and no one ever judges him and he gets to live a happy life with his wife and all these wonderful things. 

Etho, who feels like he carries the weight of the server hub on his shoulders, has never had the mental stamina for taking care of sparked things because he might need that brainpower to help "real people." He wouldn't mind making his own choice to care for something. Not necessarily a child, but even a sentient flower that can crawl and wrap around his arm like some kind of pet.

The issue is, Etho thinks sparks are this nice connection between two people and doesn't just want someone to spark one with him if they don't want to commit. In the past, he's asked Joel if he needs any ferrymen for Stratos, or any sparked birds who could carry a message between the high and low areas. Joel always shuts him down.

Joel just wants to help his friends get a spark they can use for roleplay without it being awkward. I mean, it IS kinda awkward to ask someone to go under love hearts and spawn a spark with you. Why not do something that helps both parties?

Joel would rather go offline during the full moon (and often does), but he likes to help his friends. At heart, he's a builder and an artist who wants to help them add life and charm to their fun. Joel's pretty sure that if he donates a spark to Etho, Etho will "take it too seriously" so he refuses to. Very confusing and/or heartbreaking for Etho, who doesn't understand why Joel will do this for everyone else, but not for him.

Joel just wants his sparks to be platonically spawned. They're fun toys for his friends that have the added benefit of satisfying his currently unrestrained firefly urges, which are very overwhelming now that he's off his mods for the first time in several centuries. You definitely won't see him around on a full moon night if the local vibes are flirty. It'd be too much for him, so he just leaves.

What I'm saying is that you could argue Grian's snail is half-brothers with Hermes. But if you said that in front of Joel, he wouldn't like it. You are breaking roleplay immersion by implying he helped with the snail. This is Grian's snail. Do not acknowledge any connection to Joel. That's weird.

I lean towards Gem sparking hers with Pearl since iirc, her snail came from outer space, which fits the alien vibes of Season 9 Pearl. No body image issues or mob traits there- just general "Hey, I want a snail like Grian's and I trust you'll keep this platonic- Do you mind?" / "Not at all" vibes. The Soup Group are buddies and Pearl doesn't associate with Gem's snail either.

tl;dr - The snails live with single parents, or at least they do when they're not eating builds and causing problems. Grian had help from a surrogate who is not acknowledged as a parent. Gem found a snail in her backyard (alien baby style) and it's her special little guy.

It's not likely to come up in 'fic because the amount of set-up required to convey "so Joel, who is a firefly hybrid who just got 70% of his body ripped out, asked in chat if anyone wanted anything and Grian said 'Yeah come over' and then Joel gave him a headbonk that gave sentience to a block and trapdoor and some candles, and everyone is cool about it except Etho, who is still standing on the sidelines with upturned hands because Joel never bonks HIS head" is kind of a lot, but. there ya go.

Snails are tricky creatures… They don't signal their injuries with the crook of their tails like dogs do, and they're not immune to fall damage like cats. Gingerly, easily, he brings the snail's neck to his chest and gives it a little hug. He makes a little noise. This world is beautiful if you know where to look. "Please," begs the voice in the wrinkles of his damp and dripping clothes. "You'd be a better dad to Tim. You'd be a better husband- I want what YOU have… That's MY life. Give me back my body!" Grian ignores this, peppering sloppy kisses on the snail's sweet head. It nudges into him, cuddly and sloppy and alive. Beautiful, sparked son of a thing. He'll tell Grumbot sometime, but Grumbot might not love to know he's got a snail for a younger brother now. And he laughs again, because it's stupid. It's just… It's really stupid. But he nuzzles the snail and the snail nuzzles back, and the voice in his head wails and scratches at him in the strain of Gem's boat anchor against the pebbles and sand.

In the Pixels Imperfect canon, a creature or build that is portrayed as having sentience beyond that of its basic mob AI (if applicable) needs an AI spark. Grumbot and Jrumbot are perfect examples of "portrayed as sentient" vs. "offhand joke about the build being a child, but not followed through with." Jrumbot is a non-sentient build and Grumbot is a sentient one.

Grian's snail is played as sentient - Grian even makes a huge deal about Scar "not playing the game right and making the snails do things they wouldn't do" - so in the Pixels canon, the snail is a sparked build.

Sparks don't have to be perceived as offspring- they simply embody whatever the intended roleplay was. Grumbot initially referred to Grian and Mumbo as Creator 1 and Creator 2 in Hermitcraft canon, then swapped to addressing them as dads after a certain point (to their surprise), which underscores the idea that in-universe, he is sentient and making his own decisions.

That said, Grian considers the snail his biological son, yes. His baby boy who does crime.

I have some news about Box from Double Life, wheeze...... BigB made it VERY clear in canon that Box is sentient enough to "say its first word," and Ren jumped up and down all giddy exclaiming that he was "such a proud papa," confirming that he sees it as his child.

When they're in couple's therapy, BigB explains that he "knew Ren would like it if Box had a hand so it could reach out and give him a hug." Also, special spotlight on BigB bragging about how "Box is going to need to find a soulmate" because that's so funny. I like how after BigB goes red, he invites Martyn to Box, he says "We look forward to seeing you. That's 'we' as in me and Box."

Shout-out to Martyn and Cleo getting "We will take care of Box in your absence" signed and agreed by Ren and BigB "by law and by will." Sorry you two are horribly broken up, but congrats on ur giant son. They will not nurture it, but they will definitely look at it and go "... Huh."

Guess who has one thumb, canonically wears a monocle and walks around looking like it's been "punched in the face," is technically in the Clocker family tree via Martyn, rocks he/it pronouns, and is heir apparent to Dogwarts in the Neighborhood Watch AU.

INTRODUCING THE 80S DOCUMENT... a comprehensive doc on this funny mentioned-only raider faction that is incredibly fucking cool and a crime no one has mentioned them yet

this is more or less a compilation of different canon, semi-canon and fanon references! most of it taken from the hearts of iron 4 mod old world blues, joshua sawyer's simple and sprinkled some fanon from my head in here as well. this is to hopefully make other people aware of these guys!

The 80s are a gang of raiders that operate along the Northern California 80 Freeway, mostly in the region northeast of the lawless, uncontrolled city of Sacramento. They occupy their own territory stretching between New California and the shores of Great Salt Lake, bordering the land of their longtime enemies the White Legs.

They are known for raiding frontier towns for supplies, kidnapping people, their tireless pursuit of enemies and for their occasional use of motorcycles. They are rightly feared for their ability to cover large areas of land with very few men using said motorcycles. They have recently spread out over a larger area, notably the I-80, due to the collapse of the Nevada Desert Rangers and the NCR's inability to patrol or keep tabs on the territory.

History

After the bombs desolated the country, the 80s began as a group of people that banded together out of necessity and trekked through the I-80, believing that the highway had to lead somewhere safe. The early origins of the 80s are muddled by word of mouth and mostly forgotten, but they fully coalesced into a raider faction when others learned to fear them.

The first peak of the 80s’ was reached when they took Sacramento for their own. For the first time, many 80s began to settle down and build a raiding community, often attacking smaller settlements in the area. These transgressions eventually led to the New California Republic expanding and securing its borders by taking Sacramento back, forcing the 80s out of the city.

The 80s then tore through Nevada, following the I-80 and launching massive raids on almost every community they came across for supplies and equipment, including NCR cities such as New Reno or Vault City. This led to even greater notoriety and, despite having been mauled by the NCR, drove fear into the heart of the Republic as they made their way to Utah.

Currently, the 80s have mostly settled in Wendover, expanding it into a town. Most of their conflicts lie with the neighboring White Legs, and they await the opportunity to strike back at the NCR and reclaim Sacramento.

Culture

The 80s primary philosophies are that other 80s come before all else, that the enemy of their enemy is their friend, and that settling down is the opposite of freedom. They value a wild and free lifestyle, cheap thrills, mechanical and driving prowess, and the road. While some communities support them along the roads, they are their own priority above all, and many relations with other groups are sustained through physical threat.

While all 80s can be defined by a few common traits, most of them are decentralized and spread across various chapters. Each has their own rules, hierarchies and banners. Some chapters are nomadic, while others settle in towns they have conquered, and others live in self-made settlements by the road.

Identification between each chapter varies from chapter to chapter, with the most common traits being tattoos, body art, patches on armour and jackets, and so on. While in-fighting between chapters is common, the 80s are generally extremely close-knit compared to other raider factions. In most chapters, higher-ranking members wear red or blue I-80 road signs, while regular members wear the more common green signs, and initiates and hangarounds have no signs.

While most 80s are born into their respective chapters, the 80s will occasionally take on new initiates that are young or have potential when it comes to driving and repair skills. An initiate, or hangaround, mostly runs errands for fully-fledged 80s until the others have decided they are eligible for an initiation ritual. Most potential initiates have to go through a ritual to prove their worth, such as salvaging a motorcycle and making it their own.

Economy

When the 80s started out, they were disorganized and originally had to rely on raiding to get by. During their early years, raiding was quite profitable in the wasteland, and this time period would later be called the golden age of raiding. As time went on, however, theft and slavery became unsustainable as societies grew, and many chapters of the 80s were forced to turn to other means of survival.

Using their vehicles to travel greater distances faster than any other society could manage, many chapters of the 80s turned to drug trade, gun running, package delivery, caravan running and trading. Many chapters have become their own communities, and some have settled in certain locations to farm. There are still active raiding chapters, but in the present they are few and far between.

Despite no longer solely relying on raiding, some chapters still intimidate weaker communities into giving tribute to them, having no issue doing so with their vehicles. They also charge a travel tax on all outsiders that would cross their roads.

Military and Technology

The 80s are well-known for their expertise in and quantity of vehicles ranging from the common motorcycle to the large semi-truck. The 80s scavenge, repair and even build their own vehicles, and almost every member at least has their own motorcycle, as a common initiation rite requires new members to salvage their own bike. They also find and use old schematics to improve upon their designs, or create their own from scratch.

Most 80s make their own equipment when they cannot scavenge, from tires and tools to homemade fuel. Many bikes have been made to run on ethanol and other biofuels, while others run on energy cells, fusion cells, or any energy source that’s available.

Using these vehicles, the 80s utilize speed to break through enemy walls in battle, and often overwhelm their opponents before they can truly attack. They rely on hit-and-run tactics, and as a result have great offense and poor defense. For example, one common attack involves holding out a machete while driving by the enemy; destructive, but leaves the rider open for many attacks.

The most commonly used weapons are anything close and decimating. Many 80s carry shotguns, automatic guns and throwable explosives that are relatively easy to use while riding.

Politics and Diplomatic Relations

The cultural tenet of the 80s coming before anyone else carries into their politics. Little of the outside world affects their internal politics or laws (or lack thereof). They are somewhat hypocritical in that they believe in freedom for themselves and no one else. The 80s have no one leader, and overall are decentralized as a faction.

Each chapter has their own subset of laws, or none at all. While most 80s are close-knit, there is currently infighting between chapters as they debate on whether to settle down or continue raiding. Some believe that settling down goes against what the 80s stand for and would be abandoning their origins, while others believe they won’t stand a chance against other factions if they continue to raid.

The 80s are relatively cold toward other factions, with few allies and many enemies. They are generally neutral toward other raiding factions, such as the Jackals or the Vipers, but would put aside their differences for the sake of attacking the greater enemy, such as with the Great Khans or the Powder Gangers. No matter what, however, they will make it clear that they are their own priority.

The New California Republic is one of the 80s greatest and most powerful enemies. From the very beginning, the 80s and the NCR have fought each other as the 80s raided civilians and the NCR tried to stomp them out along with other raider factions. This culminated in the NCR taking Sacramento and forcing the 80s to leave for Utah, marking the NCR as the 80s’ worst enemy. Any 80s would not hesitate at any opportunity to get back at the NCR, no matter how petty or who they would have to ally with.

After the 80s were forced to travel to Utah, their territory began to border the White Legs’, and they frequently intruded on their land. This has led to many skirmishes between the two factions as they compete for their own territory.

While Caesar’s Legion does not have much presence in the West, many 80s have heard of this new threat against the NCR, and most who have are eager for any potential ally to get back at the NCR for Sacramento. The 80s know little of the Legion or what would happen to them if the Legion was successful, but are willing to do anything if it meant victory.

Big Brothers Friend🌱

Your older brother Quackity had suggested you join him on his stream while he's hanging out in the dream smp, he offered to give you a tour of the smp and teach you some basics of minecraft, considering you haven't played the game much at all.

So you wait out of frame for him to greet his stream, and after that he pulls you and an extra chair next to him.

"Hey chat! I want you guys to meet this little shit!" He pats your head affectionately, while trying to hold his laugh as you shoot him a glare.

"Alright alright- this is my little sibling, who doesn't know jack shit about minecraft! So now we get to bully them live while they learn how to play the game!" He exclaims loudly, still trying to stifle his laughs.

He opens up minecraft and logs into the server, then moves over to let you reach the keyboard, you spent a good ten minutes just walking around the smp as he teaches you how to play the game.

But then as you're building yourself a little house in Las Nevadas, you hear a faint voice from your big brother's headphones.

You could faintly make out someone saying "Quackity why didn't you tell me you had a sibling?" and "can i talk to them?" You brushed it off since the questions weren't directed at you, and just waited patiently to see if your brother would let you talk to this mystery person.

"What the fuck Wilbur- why do you want to talk to them,, fucking creep-" He huffs, obviously joking. From the way Alex was talking you could tell him and this Wilbur person we're friends.

Then after a few seconds he turns to you "Hey, Hermana. Wanna talk to Wilbur Soot?" He grins, briefly glancing at chat to see them spamming "creepbur" quoting Alex's prior comment.

You nod shyly, you now realized who you were gonna talk to, you didn't know Wilbur Soot very well, nor did you watch his content, but you've seen him in your brothers streams before, yet you were a little bit nervous to meet the man yourself.

Quackity handed you the headphones as you carefully placed them on your head, as you continued to build your house, waiting for Wilbur to say something first- and soon enough, you heard "Hello?" from the other end of the call, you smiled slightly.

"Hello Wilbur Soot" you said in a joking manner, as you heard him chuckle quietly.

"i had no idea Quackity had a sibling" he ponders outloud, probably waiting for you to introduce yourself.

"yeah, this is my first time on stream since im kind of nervous to be on camera" you giggled softly "i do sometimes bring Alex food and water while he's live, but I've always stayed out of frame"

"understandable- so.." his voice wanders off for a moment, before he laughs nervously "what's your name? I was gonna introduce myself but seems like you already know my name"

You smile to yourself at his awkwardness "My name is y/n, I've seen you on Alex's streams a few times but i can't say i really know you mr. Soot" you giggle, as he joins in with a light chuckle.

"i hope you haven't gotten a terrible impression of me" he hums, and you can hear typing from the other end of the call.

"not at all, quite the opposite actually. Your energy is quite immaculate Mr. Soot" you proclaim in a way too dramatic tone before bursting into a fit of giggles, while your brother stares at you like you were crazy.

You immediately heard Wilburs iconic laugh from the other side, before he responds "im glad my energy is to your liking Mx. y/n" he says, copying your dramatic tone as you try to calm yourself from the fit of giggles.

After you two finally calmed down, he joined you on the dream smp and showed you around while talking about the whole roleplay thing the server had going on, but that wholesome bonding moment quickly turned south when the one and only Tommyinnit logged on and you and Wilbur decided that it was the perfect time to prank the poor child.

So wilbur prepares both of you with a handful of invis pots as you drink them and start annoying the child, soon enough Tommy joins the discord call, screaming profanities at mostly Wilbur before realizing you indeed aren't Big Q, and he screams before leaving the call. Leaving you and Wilbur struggling for breath in your laughter.

Soon enough it was time to end stream, so Quackity took the headphones from you not before Wilbur started protesting on the other end though, you giggled to yourself as you heard the brit furiously asking your older brother for your discord, or number or anything.

"Yo are you trying to hit on my little sibling? Kinda weirdchamp Wilbur" Quackity huffs loudly, before Wilbur says something too quiet for you ti hear which causes your brother to start cursing him out in Spanish, as you fall to the floor, clutching your stomach from all the laughing.

Eventually you end up giving Wilbur your discord as you decide to head back to your room for the night, and let Alex wrap everything else up in the streaming room, just as you are about to head to bed, you hear a small ding come from your phone, and as you pick it up, you can see a new discord notification.

I know I already reblogged a post about this but the thought of Wilbur going back to writing on the dream smp is stressing me out. I need to stop being protective of Technoblade's plotline and the dsmp plot in general but it's kinda hard. They're a huge part of my life (second to sleep and college) and seeing something I care about be "messed up" would really bother me.

In the interest of organization here's a list of poorly sourced paraphrased things that concern me in regards to Wilbur returning to writing. (In no particular order)

1) Technoblade's excitement about writing

In "a new home" Techno was so genuinely excited about writing. I just want him to be happy honestly

2) The revisions Techno made to Nov 16th

I'm sure everyone remembers how anticlimactic Nov 16th felt after Tubbo was declared president. It was way too easy since everyone defected from Schlatt. The Great President Handoff (tm) started to feel really lame after the dust had settled. All that work for nothing. But then c!Technoblade starts freaking out and goes rogue to fight the new dictatorship. And it was such a climatic ending

But if you remember, Techno said that Wilbur was gonna just have him as another fighter with no significant contributions. No vault, no withers, no Theseus. Maybe he would have managed to make the post president assignment less awkward and anticlimactic but I kinda doubt it. There wasn't much that could be done with it imo.

My point is collaborative story telling gave us Nov 16th not head writer Wilbur

3) Wilbur's cursed canon

The thing Wilbur said about being twins with Techno was never about the dsmp and rather the general family dynamic au that already existed (we know this because Wilbur said that in response to discourse about the au not canon). However the rest of Wilbur's cursed canon is still yikes. Having sex with a salmon, dating a sheep, the refrigerator mother, his references to the family dynamic on the server, etc. When Technoblade says "canon" for the 50th time when Tubbo dies no one takes it seriously. 4) Techno's commitment to clearing up false info

On a related note Techno's commitment to his characterisation keeps me going. He corrected the family dynamic and comes up with arguments against all the bad takes about his character. He makes fun of Tommy's blame game logic, fights bad character takes by other cc's and pushed for Nov 16th. I trust him to have our back on character and plot nonsense and Wilbur's sometimes opposite demeanor concerns me

5) Wilbur saying he would only come back to be head writer

Wilbur said (before the recent confirmation of him as a writer) that he would only come back if he was the head writer who got the final say. That obviously concerns me because he's coming back now, but the general attitude also feels bad. It insinuates that having his way in the writing is really important to him which doesn't bode well for other writers

6) Wilbur appreciating Tommy not wanting to control his character

Wilbur says (maybe in that same stream idk) that Tommy was super flexible with how Wilbur characterised him while Technoblade wasn't. I can't remember the wording but he sounding noticeably appreciative of Tommy's aquiesence to any sort of writing. Another attitude about writing that I worry won't mesh well

7) Wilbur saying he wanted more geopolitical plot

We have a lot of non geopolitical plot and I'm concerned for how he'd treat them

8) But like seriously Nov 16th??

9) How Philza got into the plot

Not a criticism but Phil got added to the plot and to the smp early because Wilbur wrote him in. What does that say for people Wilbur doesn't know who are running their own story lines. People got really mad over Niki not being involved in the plot like she wanted to and there was no head writer at the time. If you wanted your arc to be important you had to push for it. Now imagine Wilbur not letting someone into the central plot cause he's got his casting already prepared.

10) The exile arc would never have happened

Character driven story telling? Wilbur would never

11) The eggpire would definitely have not happened

Secondary plots that are supernatural and don't involve countries or politics?? No.

12) Techno's retirement arc would be unlikely

Certainly not with the level of development it got

13) -1000% chance of Doomsday happening

Large scale battle to settle conflict?? Not a chance

14) Tommy's hotel bit is cool after all the action

I feel like Tommy in the spotlight just gets repetitive. It's like a tv show desperately trying to make another season. I'm really glad Tommy stepping back from the eggpire arc and giving his character some room to breathe

15) Tommy's non dsmp videos are really good

Another point in the less main character Tommy please column. I personally find the mod videos so much more entertaining than his dsmp stuff. I feel like spending all your time on a server either walk around aimlessly or roleplaying a character someone else made just isn't peak content. Tommy vibing in non plot streams was where his better dsmp content came from. And now he's vibing in videos not even in the server

16) Wilbur plot holes

Despite being a writer before want collaborative story telling, Wilbur's writing has a lot of lore breaking plot holes. The family dynamic obviously, but also the age and death stuff. Fundy's age is a mess and Wilbur writing Phil in as his dad made it so much worse. Is Phil supposed to be 50? How old is Fundy actually? The inconsistency between which lives mattered and which didn't also came about while Wilbur was writing. A fan theory came in clutch but it was very frustrating before that point

17) Wilbur's joke about writing Ranboo out of the story

Obviously a joke but I dislike the implications that he would have that much power over other people's characters
