Opinions on The Roaring 20s coming back

I think the end of the roaring 20s is coming back- due to the world economy being in recession- in fact I saved an article the other day on fb about how Australia’s economy is in dire straits and looking at a collapse I think- I’ll have to find it and actually give it a read lol. and I mean the return of the roaring 20s, both half seriously and half with the meme in a joke kind of way.

globally it seems like we’re almost always teetering on the verge of a world war, mostly because of the way America’s orange shit gibbon carries on with his godawful approach to politics.... and Australias prime minister isn’t any better tbh, though at least he’s not opting out of the Paris climate agreement and at least his whole cabinet doesn’t hate him, i think.

here in my state of Australia, New South Wales, the Premier Gladys Berejikilian (yes I share her name- but DEFINITELY NOT HER VIEWS- as she’s liberal (right wing and science denying)) has lifted the lockout laws on most of Sydney’s dead night life scene- so bars, pubs and clubs can stay open past 1am and serve drinks past then I think... (I think that’s how the lock out laws worked I’ll have to read up on it again)....

but when it comes to music festivals and pill testing Gladys would rather have them all shut down in a sense, because she’d rather deny expert opinions on pill testing- due to a number of deaths of young people at various music festivals who took dodgy drug pills at various MFs over the last few years. instead she’d rather pander to youngins from 18-25 (my age bracket really) with “JUST DON’T DO DRUGS, KIDS! BE SAFE AND DON’T TRUST STRANGERS THAT MIGHT SELL YOU DODGY PILLS!” or that’s the gist of her pandering, at least. it’s all in the article linked above.

so although night clubs etc are open again and slowly regaining business, some music festivals have been forced to cancel due to other things, like: exorbitant fees around licensing of venues and drinking, exorbitant fees for an increased amount of police and sniffer dogs at these events etc etc.... so that the kids aren’t supposed to have fun. just stay home is the message there I suppose lmao. music festivals might end up being like the 2020s speakeasies under Gladys and her bullshit pandering lmao. hell, just last month some of Australia’s largest music festivals threatened to leave nsw all because of the nsw governments bs with music festivals (not that these ones matter to me though, considering that they’re super overpriced and overrated but still), but everyone deserves to have fun at a music festival.

anyway enough on that. I think the rise of makeup culture and the rise of instagram/YouTube etc personalities and influencers could be likened to the rise of consumer products or whatever in the original roaring 20s lmao. but this time is more insidious, due to the fact that many of these products are now being aimed at kids instead of adults. then we have the re-emergence of emo bands like MCR coming out the woodwork to begin the “rawring 20s XD” which means all the mid2000s emo kids are coming back to spend money on tix for those band’s reunion shows and to be like “hey look im emo again!” or maybe that’s just me lmao 😂

but yeah generally the rise of all the instagram bs with people joining mlm schemes and stuff and becoming “influencers” shows that we’re in decline for jobs and stuff, and that the economies in many western countries are in dire straits, and are likely heading for crashes. okay now idk where I’m going with this, and I’ll shut up. but yeah the roaring 20s is coming back and pls get your flapper costumes etc out 😂.
