oh throwing back to my post abt how sex games are so interesting bc the sex and the game is kind of at odds with each other, i recently played coc2 and it's exactly that

well it's very ??? i don't know. i was trying to think of my feelings about it... and like, the actual narrative of it is Fine so far. fine positive. it's on the positive end of "good enough", i think, honestly, i don't like fantasy stories to begin with, and it has all of the fantasy problems of "the elves are colonizers and the orcs are slave driving rapists and the minotaurs are slave driving rapists and the catgirls are orientalist" and its just liek GOD WHATEVER but the story itself is like. Fine. obviously. i must be enjoying it on some level or else i wouldnt have kept playing it

the game has several writers, like a LOT of writers, which is a blessing and a curse, i think they must be held to some sort of standard bc i can never really notice when a writer changes (it tells you on the sidebar when a certain scene is written by someone else) ... it's a blessing mostly bc some of the writers have to be less cringy than other writers.

and the sex part is like. well. you can have sex at the end of every battle ("can" if you win, and "have no choice" if you lose) and with hella npcs around the place. but honestly really truly? the sex in this game? girl it does nothing for me. it's amazing how much it doesnt do anything for me. tmi, but written smut generally does a lot for me, so when i read these descriptions of my character eating someone out and im like....Anyway....it's truly impressive. theres oviposition in the first area and i ignored it. that's crazy.

my main character is a virgin (it just ended up this way) but i made a side character to have sex as many times as possible bc i was like, maybe i don't enjoy it bc i havent seen any good scenes. and well. i still have not seen any good scenes

but it's funny. the "sex and game being at odds with each other" is so... the game itself is like, pretty enjoyable. except everytime it introduces a character its like "...AND ALSO SHE HAS UM GIANT MILKY TITS AND YOU CAN SEE HER 3 FOOT HORSECOCK BULGING BENEATH HER SKIRT. JSYK." Like frantically, as if it forgot it was a horny game and has to quickly remind you that This Is A Fuck Game

it's like if dragon age or baldurs gate gave you an x ray of every other model's dick and vagina just to make sure you're aware that they have them. 😭

...also the writing is very cringy cus it's obsessed with epithets and saying shit like Slab Of Meat and Fuckmeat and Baby Batter and Whorenet and Your Slutty Pink Catgirl and "the pink furred orc-bork (half orc half wolf)/the fuzzy pink borclet" which were so egregious that they made me lose my shit on twitter, and i'm still mad, bc what the fuck are you talking about, and every girl is like bubbly quirky cutie or muscle mommy dommy and there's like Three Guys and two of them are femboys and $%^$&#$%^@$%LIEK I JUST HATE ALL OF IT IM SURROUNDED BY A STRAIGHT NERD'S WET DREAMS. But when the game isnt focusing on this, it's like, fine! and enjoyable! and even the wiki jokes "this game isn't about smut it's about metagaming the strongest build possible"... of course part of the issue is that what the game considers sexy is just Not Appealing To Me in the slightest... so i dont know...there's also like, it has like, it's like, Like, it has,LKNELKDNFGD there's some weird gender shit going on in here but NOT in a good way necessarily?

you can choose your gender seperate from your genitals which is always a little based, but then the game insists on calling you a cuntboy/trap/probably futa, idk, other things, which is crazy work. but it can't be helped, i don't expect nuance from horny games. but they go into npc gender somewhat, a little bit, too, in a way that's ...???

one of the first characters you meet is a girl who got a dick put on her randomly due to The Corruption and she freaks the fuck out about it until you remove it from her and that's like, interesting. a dysphoria i guess? one of the femboyish characters (or so im told) says he was dosed with feminizing drugs while drinking tea from his mentor but never strictly minded the changes. and somewhere along the line, he ends up reconstructing his identity from memories, changing his body and name (or not!) and ends up feeling better because of the agency he had in choosing that identity afterwards... and then there's another npc who i havent met, but goes through a similar "help me figure out my identity" struggle...... and you can forcefem one of your companions in a way that irreparably changes his personality/behavior to the point where ive seen comments that it feels like an entirely different character and they regret doing that to him. Which is...

well again, you can't really expect nuance from horny games even though you Really Should Be Able To by this point, which is probably why they make me so ...??? because i know it's not done out of any interest in exploring noncis experiences but rather "this is so sexy" and thats just like. Sighs. Whatever

well... it was overall a well-realized, visually stunning episode... but i was kinda bored the whole time :/ ... i think the reasons were that: a) the world of the town and clare didnt feel as "live in" or imainative as other ones we've seen in flux. and b) the lack of doctor o/ companion interactions set it down my stimations too. and c) it didnt really feel like a flux story? besides the little vignette with in space venice, it could have been inserted any other season. all that said, the last 3 minutes almosssst made up for all of that sdkljf

god so....me nd jester finished gravity falls and....GOD

i have sos oso much to say about it, (under the cut tho ofc)

but like....tl;dr.....that was easily the best show i’ve ever watched, and one of the best narrative’s i’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing

oof ok so i’ll start small

the animation in general, ESPECIALLY the scenery was rly nice

god the theme like not the theme SONG (though that will get its own bullet point)but like??the theme of the show??? the mystery feel mixed with modern stuff, and still being REALLY DARK AND HAVING GENUINE HORROR whilst still managing to be a kids show is wild

like!!! they didnt pull any punches!!! they didnt treat kids like dumbasses that would get the show!! it complex and intelligent and engaging!!!!

ok so the THEME SONG ok GOD I LOVED IT BUT....turns out bc me and jester were using dailymotion well.....uhhh 90% of the gravity falls eps on there are sped up?? (like 1:25x speed) i NEVER NOTICED i jsut thought all the eps were around 18-19 mins??? turns out thery’re actually 22, so we’ve been watching at a slightly faster pace??? we watched ONE at a slower pace and i was like ‘WHAT’ but like!! that slower pace wasthe reAL SPEED NKHDFHNJHJF its...v strange tbh bc i’ll probably rewatch them on kimcarttons bc thats’ more reliable and all in the right palce but....idk i kinda prefer the slightly sped up version??? its enough that al lthe characters still seem rly natural they didnt...seem liek they were sped up but they WERE but it means the natural ones now seem slower to me nkjkdhjfkd, either way watch the theme song on 1.25x on youtube and you’ll see my experience its....rly good
