Generally I think the 2023 Camelot cast recording does a very good job of conveying the onstage vibe of pretty much all the songs with the dialouge snippets. However in my heart of hearts I truly believe the Simple Joys of Maidenhood feels incomplete without the moment of Arthur realizing Guenevere has run away and right to him after she sings her intro. I'm sure I could choose many hills to die on for cast recording opinions but apparently the one I feel the most is a particularly good delivery of the word shit.

#It just is the exact tone of the scene and it's the one bit of song dialouge that feels missing #and also in my head I say it every time because I forget it isn't there #My other thought was the end of What Do The Simple Folk Do because it's weird they have a part of the song that doesn't exist in the show #But I'm not sure you can adequately convey the energy they have at the end there so maybe it's just as well that it's a little deceptive #Today is apparently national bird day that's why I decided I was gonna listen to Camelot today gotta honor my fave bird nerd #it's been a while #And I may now be doing a slight backslide into having too many Camelot thoughts #Camelot Musical #I had a moment of does this belong in the tag and then I figured no one else is using it so why not #The show has been closed for like six months so I'm gonna assume standards are low to nonexistent #The other thing I forget every time it's been a while since I listened to the album straight through is how I'll listen to the act 1 finale #and it'll scratch some part of my brain and I'll have so many thoughts throughout the entr'acte #And then If Ever I Would Leave You comes on and my brain gets completely wiped and I have to stare at a white wall for an extended time #to recover #I just love this album so much #glad I bought the cd #This Barbie can't shut up about Camelot

i think this is possibly the best night I've had all year or maybe even in the last three years

#OH MY GOD THIS WAS SO FUN #the band was so fucking nice they signed the poster i got and gave me fistbumps as they walked off stage #i told them this is my first time ever going to a live show and they were like REALLY???????#they talked about how they can see the playlists people make out of their songs on spotify #and one of them mentioned one of ththeir favourites was named something like piratecore: bisexually coded lmao #and everyone was really nice about the wheelchair #i couldn't get in the front door (STEP) but they let me in through the side door #and Slightly early as well because i was really worried about my wheelchair's electronics in the very sudden thunderstorm that appeared #someone found me a spot so i could see and they were really really nice #i got a poster of my favourite album cover and it looks very nice #someone here was wearing the same shirt as me LMAO #i was sitting there like 'idk what to wear to this i hope i don't look weird' and then Everyone had an similar style as mine LMAO #ive never been to something like this before so i didn't really know what to wear but floral button up and rue21 cherry blossom shirt works #there were a lot of moments where the crowd was singing along which i liked bc i love to sing along to my fave songs #small bar live shows are now one of my fave things to do i think. i hope the next one i see is as fun #i definitely prefer this to an 150$ ticket stadium show or something #i nearly went to see idkhow later this year but that ticket price goddamn #mini update: i found the playlist they mentioned LMAO #piratecore? did you mean: bisexual culture

it's really funny getting into a band before they even have an album out. i found a single released last year from Wild Disguise and i've been listening to it a lot and i'm like "WILD DISGUISE NEVER MISSES!!" yeah man because they only have 6 songs. lol

i LOVE mania, i genuinely think they’re a band that does not have a flop album, and it’s always so crazy to me how much hate it always got (and i still see it get) because it’s genuinely so! and it was such an interesting shift because it was so very very much fall out boy but there’s an exploration there and while stardust is definitely the album and era of healing and the boys™️ there’s such a love in the lyricism of mania that is just unlike anything else in fall out boy’s discography that i just think is fascinating and beautiful and just genuinely love the album so much

#also some of their best singles ever hands down #and i think so much about the album and the transition from #from ‘seems like the whole damn world has went and lost its mind’ -> ‘the glow of the cities below lead us back’ ->#all of lake effect kid -> ‘the city always hangs a little bit lonely on me’ on the opening to stardust #like oh and the album cover is so #the transition to purple the separation of ‘man i a’ and the subtle #‘a fall out boy lp’ like please 😭😭#and some of my fave one liners are on the album #‘you were too good to be true; gold plated’#‘confidants but never friends were we ever friends’#‘i hate all my friends i miss the days when i pretended’#alllllll of young and menace (this song getting hate pisses me off so much it’s SO good)#and so much more hit alakkakaks #ask: loveaffairmaimyou #mutuals: alex
