Want to read a short story about a nonbinary autistic ship captain and a mysterious magical passenger?
In THE QUEEN OF CUPS by Ren Basel (that's me!), a mysterious woman known only as The Oracle resides on the seashore, blessing ships and telling fortunes for those who can pay her price. For new-made ship captain Theo Marinos, the price is higher than it first seems.
If Theo has any hope of surviving their ship’s first voyage, they must trust not just in The Oracle, but in themself–for the journey is long, and the ocean’s tests are many.

Touch from the Dark
Rating: E (18+)
Yandere!Sephiroth/Reader
Words: 3,279
Description: Nothing in your life matters besides submission, and Sephiroth wants nothing more than for you to find your true place in life and eternally submit to him. The small piece of your mind that's left won't let it happen, but it's not clear if that small piece will last.
AO3 link
this could be viewed as a sequel to my other fic, but i didn't write it with that in mind. i'll admit, i went a little crazy with this one. there's a lot of abuse, mindbreak, and non-con in this so you've been warned!
You don't have anything now, not even your thoughts.
This realization - this particular thought - isn't exactly a new one. You'd known it for so very long by this point, long after you've lost count of the days or the time or anything because nothing in your life matters anymore except submission. Nothing else matters.
It's something you've come to terms with, but for some odd reason, this time it feels especially brutal. The condemnation to a life of agony with a truly monstrous man was a bitter pill, but you swallowed it, the complete lack of agency. This time, however, the thought cuts like a wire through your brain, a shock to the system unreplicated since your initial capture.
Something deeper unsettles you - it comes to you as a vision of the future. The future feels vague, and fuzzy, almost like a far-away city. All it contains is you, and nothing. You've become nothing, no personality at all, a completely blank slate in the future, no thoughts or ideas or any original action, just an eternal cycle of yes-sir-of-course-sir, casually looping on, never changing, never stopping, never faltering. It makes you feel sick, in a way the whole situation hasn't before, like the disgust and fear and desire are rotting inside you, tainting everything else hour by hour. You try to squeeze the vision, the concept, out of your mind.
The thought came to you at the feet of Sephiroth. He was kicking you in the stomach.
-
You run your fingers over the deep bruises, flinching at the touch. It's not clear why you keep touching the wounds, but it makes you feel more real. (What is "real"? You don't know anymore.) A particularly tender spot makes a jolt of pain rush through you that’s so sharp you suspect he’s accidentally cracked a rib, and it doesn’t surprise you. It’s happened before.
There’s no point in trying to relax since you know it’s impossible. Since day one in this Godforsaken compound, you couldn’t relax, and that was likely the point. Over time, you’ve learned that if Sephiroth is anything, it’s calculating. Every square inch of the compound - the blankness of the walls, the lack of windows, the lack of clocks, the constant cold - is to help weaken you, break you down into what he wants you to be. His perfect little pet at the perfect little position - at his feet.
For a brief moment, there’s the echo of footsteps and you immediately straighten up, completely at attention. It’s funny, the little ways your brain has been trained to respond perfectly yet unconsciously. It was not an easy shift; at first, there was fight, at first there was soul, but now you’ve become insipid. Maybe that’s what you wanted this whole time. After so much pain and agony after breaking the rules, you realized you needed to wave the white flag, at least in most ways - you still had a little piece of yourself, seldom-seen, but still there.
However, over time, you can’t help like the little bit left is fading. Sometimes, entirely at random, you feel good about your situation. They’re so brief and fleeting yet intractably devastating, the idea that eternal submission is a great deal, that you love Sephiroth and everything he gave you. Yet they keep coming, and each time you get more and more concerned, wanting to punish yourself a thousand times over. You’ve lost your mind - in more ways than one.
-
Later in the day? Night? Sephiroth comes to you, again, as icy and mysterious as ever. He approaches you in your room, a small blank space with a (surprisingly comfy yet so incredibly cold) bed and not much else. There you sit, dumbly, and he doesn’t say anything; after looking at you for a few stomach-churning moments he reaches a hand up and strokes your hair, rather delicately. Initially, you attempted to avoid his gaze, but you quickly corrected yourself. Such a basic rule couldn’t be violated at this point, or he might actually make you pay the ultimate price. Then again, you’d deserve it.
He still hasn’t said anything, instead traveling his fingers down your jawline, trailing across your neck. After another moment of staring, and then he sits next to you and grabs you in a tangle of limbs to sit on his lap. Pain from your core immediately shoots through you, exceptionally sharp, and all you can do is whimper at the sensation and you notice the self-satisfied expression on his face. After the initial wave of pain, you relax, leaning against his toned chest, trying to breathe deeply enough to help cope with the stinging. He starts stroking your hair, again, and you suddenly feel very, very tired and extremely elated and satisfied. It’s hard to hide the weariness on your face, although you always looked weary so it’s not like much changed.
However, since Sephiroth seemingly knows you better than you know yourself, he seems to be able to tell the difference between actual tiredness and the general exhaustion that plagues your whole being. “Go to sleep”, he says, more a command than any sort of suggestion, but you obey; the tiredness in your body wouldn’t have allowed you to stay up anyway.
In the early phases of sleep, you feel your body being moved, clothes being methodically taken off, but you don’t even respond to it. It’s not even really on your radar anymore, so you simply plunge more deeply into dreamless sleep.
-
All you can do with your free time is wander the halls of the compound, counting steps and walls and the few pieces of furniture that you were allowed to have. You’ve read the few books here 15 separate times, it seems, so there’s not much else to do with your life. The true purpose of your life was right in front of you but you kept denying it. The cherry on top of the cruelty and sadness of your life was the simple fact that it had become nothing more than a waiting game - waiting for your master Sephiroth to arrive, whenever he did, and inflict whatever he saw fit upon you. It was a gamble, all day every day, and when he arrived this time, you wondered if you were gonna get lucky, but you knew you probably were going to lose.
He walks up behind you, slowly, and places his hands on your shoulders, and you flinch. It felt like you couldn’t compose yourself well, today. Tonight. Seemingly ignoring your mistake and leaning in closer, his voice suddenly seems thinner than usual, like a shadow of a whisper. “You’re almost there.”
“What?” Your voice is so quiet that you wondered if you even said anything.
He grabs your forearm, tightly enough to bruise. “Do not make me repeat myself,” he replies, the darkness immediately back in his tone. Your voice catches in your throat instead of being able to respond, and the punishment is swift; a sharp slap across the face, stinging brutally. In other words, you got what you deserved.
“I’m sorry,” is all you can squeak out. He lets go of you, and you stumble and fall suddenly, seemingly off balance. He begins to walk away, stopping only once to glance at you, in a sickeningly-familiar look of disgust, yet also affection - both affection out of pity, and a genuine, sick, disgusting, amazing love for you. Will you ever be able to return it?
“How pathetic.”
-
You, being the silly, sad, precious little thing you were, had to push the limits. You made a mistake. It was a serious mistake, and you knew it at the time but at the same time something had possessed you and you couldn’t stop it, it was like a forest fire, wildly out of control, completely consuming until there was nothing left -
“Just what were you thinking?” Sephiroth’s grasp on your hair is so tight, he practically picks you up off the ground. “I do all these things out of love, and this is how you repay me?”
“I - I -”
He drags you by the hair a few feet over, causing you to cry out in pain - he’s strong enough to rip the hair out of your head. He pulls out his sword, endlessly long and sharp, and holds it against your throat, just grazing the edge on your skin. “I thought you knew better than trying to leave me.”
You hiccup with sobs, again. The words won’t even come out of your mouth despite your best efforts, only coming out as an incoherent, sloppy mess of tears. The sword is still at your throat. “Perhaps I should break your legs,” he says, casually. All you can do is whimper in response, trying to plead with your eyes, although you knew it couldn’t outdo the sheer hatred in his.
He pulls the sword away from your throat, but quickly settles for a solid slash against your arm, making you squeal in pain and blood to pour down your arm. You think it’s deep enough for stitches - all the cuts you’ve gotten make you have a solid sense for these things. Redirecting his efforts, he slices through your clothes and gives you plenty of little cuts in the process, and you’re reduced to gasps, trying to get air through your abused lungs.
Wordlessly, he picks you up - all your wounds, and you scream in protest - and slings you over his shoulder like it’s nothing (it is nothing) and you love being nothing. He carries you over to your bed and roughly throws you down on it, making you writhe in pain, blood still leaking from your arm onto your bedsheets, tears freely flowing from your eyes. No sounds are in the room besides your desperate sounds of struggle.
He approaches the head of the bed briefly, wiping away your tears. “Poor thing,” he cooed, condescension dripping from each word. “Too stupid for your own good.” You offer a wheeze in response, and he slaps you so hard you swear you can feel it in your neck.
“I-I’m hic sorry!”
“You’re not,” he snaps back, wrapping his hand around your throat so tightly you begin to struggle for breath. “Don’t worry, darling, you will be.” You cannot wait.
He takes his jacket off, but not his pants (probably to make you feel more vulnerable in the nude), and grabs some ropes, beginning to tie you to the bedposts with ease. It’s hard not to struggle in response to the sheer pain, screaming louder than ever and the material of the rope seems to gnaw right through your skin. Blood is still leaking from your wound.
Admiring his handiwork for a moment, he brushes a strand of hair from your face, in a way that is far too delicate for the situation. “You’re perfect like this,” he murmurs, and you’re positively elated that you’re perfect for him notices the blood on your arm, trickling down all over it and soiling the sheets. He leans down and licks a bit off, making your wound stab you and making you whimper meekly. Before standing back up, he gets close to your ear and gives you a simple instruction.
“Embrace the feeling.”
You’re thinking you might know what he means.
Of course, since this is a punishment that you deserve, he quickly begins running his hands over your body, intentionally putting pressure on your most sensitive wounds, particularly the potentially cracked rib, making you scream and making him smile smugly. “We haven’t even started yet, and you’re screaming already.” The words put the fear of God and a deep excitement in you.
He retreats from your tear-blurred vision for a moment but quickly comes back with a flogger. You’re almost sick at the sight, knowing full well what’s coming already. Sensing the fear in you, he smiles, prideful and disgusting and beautiful. “I’m teaching you your place. I think you know it already”, he adds, and something stirs inside you. It’s not clear what.
He whips you, hard. You can’t help but scream and writhe in agony as he hits you hard enough to leave welts, and it feels like he’s practically ripping your skin apart. Not too long after the beginning, you lose the will to scream and are reduced to pathetic mumbling and sobbing, feeling the pain intensify over and over and over. It’s like he’s trying to kill you with pain alone, and maybe you’re willing to die.
Bordering on unconsciousness, the something inside you that was stirred is still kicking, deep inside you, and you’re almost as worried about what it is as the situation at hand. It’s strangely sick yet soothing, and you’re almost longing for it, even though you don’t know what it is, you seem to want it but also not want it and it’s all too confusing and you just want all of it to be over. But deep down, you don’t.
Suddenly, you are awoken out of your dream-state by another harsh slap to the face. “Pay attention”, he commands, anger clear in his voice, and punctuated with another slap for good measure. There’s a seemingly endless amount of red marks on your stomach on top of your wounds, stinging and making your heart beat faster than ever before, feeling like you may actually die this time, but you don’t want to. And you’re not sure why you don’t.
Staring blankly, you watch him reach down and pull his cock out in all its glory. It’s hard not to stare at his body for a moment - the almighty Sephiroth, so much power, so much strength…
He approaches the head of the bed and grabs a solid fistful of your hair with one hand, using the other to slap his cock against your face a few times. Instinctively, you try to shy away, but the hand in your hair guarantees that won’t happen. It’s another indignity in a series of indignities, and yet, it felt different than anything that he had done before.
“Open,” he commands, and you obey. All hell breaks loose as he immediately slams his cock down your throat, making you gag and tears well up in your eyes. He keeps your head nice and steady as he fucks your throat, seemingly trying to ram himself as deep as he could get. Violently, you gag and sputter, too distracted by the relentless assault on your throat to do anything to give him any sort of satisfaction. Still blocked by the last barrier in your mouth, he growls in frustration.
Pulling his cock out of your mouth and giving you a few more good cock slaps - getting even more spittle and saliva all over your face - he makes a second attempt. “Come on,” he says, voice unusually husky as he plunges into your mouth again. “Take it.”
Relaxing your throat as best as you can, he finally pushes past, causing you to essentially choke on his cock, and he leaves it in so you can thrash about for a few moments before withdrawing. Coughing violently, you writhe in pain, not only in your throat and body but also mentally. You felt as if you could almost reach out and touch it, this invisible thing you wanted oh so badly.
In the moments after his withdrawal, where you caught your breath and fought with your both physical-and-psychic pain, he was looking you up and down, admiring the sad mess you were.
“How disgusting.”
He reaches aside and pulls out a towel, roughly rubbing it against your face, to get most of the mess off of you, but not all of it, and it doesn’t make you feel much better about anything.
“Open,” he commands again, and you immediately comply for him to spit in your mouth. “There,” he says, stroking your hair. “Since you seem to like it so much.” The action didn’t sicken you as much as your immediate compliance did. The immediate compliance didn’t sicken you as much as the brief jolt of pleasure that came with obedience. What was happening to you?
In the back of your mind, you knew Sephiroth could feel the internal battle inside of you, but he gleefully let it rage on in favor of untying your legs, stroking them a couple of times, a strangely tender action in a moment like this.
“You’re right there,” he says huskily as his hands go up and down your legs. “All you need to do is embrace it.” Without much else preamble, he rams his cock inside of you, causing your eyes to roll back at the white-hot sensation of pain, mixed with pleasure. It was so much, everything everywhere all at one moment, and it makes you disgusted, but you love it. The combination seemed so strangely intoxicating, in a way you couldn’t put your finger on but all you knew is it made you feel good.
“So wet for me already,” he chuckles, running his hands across your body, triggering quiet protests from your wounds. As soon as he starts moving, his pace is fast and ruthless, slamming into you so hard that the pain in your wounds scream out and you’re reduced to mumbling as he scrapes the edges of your cunt. The lewd, wet sounds fill the room, but everything seems so strangely out of focus…
A jolt of pleasure goes up your spine as he reaches down to rub your clit, making you feel even more overwhelmed yet deeply satisfied as if you’ve sated some deep need. There’s a sudden wave of euphoria flowing over you, and you realize Sephiroth is doing you a favor, giving you the greatest gift of all - the position at his feet.
After that single thought, you cum, clamping down on him, genuine moans of pleasure leaving your throat for the first time in forever. He doesn’t slow down, ramming into you for another solid, sweaty minute while overstimulation begins to kick in and make you squirm before cumming inside you, completely flooding your cunt.
He pulls out, watching cum ooze out of your abused hole with complete satisfaction. You lay in front of him, completely exposed, twitching and bruised and beaten but satisfied - almost perfection in his eyes. You weren’t perfect, not quite yet, but you had made major strides. It seemed it was all beginning to take, and he couldn’t have been more overjoyed.
However, much like all his internal mechanisms, Sephiroth doesn’t express anything. He stands up and dresses himself, leaving you tied to the bed overnight. Yet before he leaves, he pulls you in for a deep kiss, tongue plunging into your mouth and you replied eagerly, suddenly unable to get enough of him.
-
Once you’re untied - seemingly in your sleep, since you don’t ever recall seeing him - you’re completely at peace. It dawned on you that what you wanted, what you needed, had been there all along. Once you finally got your strength back to walk (took a couple of days, but you needed the lesson), you strode around the compound still feeling empty, but not for a lack of freedom. It was a lack of Sephiroth. In fact, you had realized you had achieved complete freedom in slavery, nothing else mattering in your world except submission.
Even through all the agony and abuse and pain, your loyalty could never falter. He loved you even when you were a bloody mess on the floor, having to pay the price for your transgressions. He loved you through all your weakness and whininess and insubordination. You weren’t perfect, not yet, but you were determined to be, all for him. You loved Sephiroth.

twenty questions for fic writers!
tagged by @sunriseverse thank you!!
tagging: @figbian @shark-myths @stoplightglow @zipegs and anyone else who wants to participate (with no pressure if you don't!) questions below the cut :-)
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
currently 65! i've orphaned several over the years though. unfortunately i am an Extremely Slow Writer so i always wanna see this number go up and it never goes as fast as i want it to :') we can hit 67 this year... surely....
2. what's your total ao3 word count?
847,778! used to be higher (more in the 950k range) prior to orphaning, i'm not sure if i've actually written over a million words or not at this point? v excited for the day that milestone actually shows up in my stats though! my current wips could tip me over, we'll see how it goes... 👀
3. what fandoms do you write for?
currently hannibal and stranger things! i've bounced around many fandoms in my day, but my most significant contributions thus far have been for mcr/bandom and the magnus archives. really hoping i end up writing enough for my current fandoms that i can consider them part of that shortlist too!! :-)
4. top five fics by kudos
like a moth to light (like a beast to bait) / 2117 kudos, save that heart for me / 1480 kudos, how particular, my fondness of you / 1445 kudos, convicted criminals of thought / 1177 kudos, and questionable decisions / 847 kudos! wow, that last one took me by surprise, it was such a jokey little fic i often forget about it. nice to look back at these and see things with over 1k kudos though, i remember that being an unattainable pipe dream back when i was writing mcr in the dead era that was 2017 :')
5. do you respond to comments?
i often do! i try to respond to every comment i get when a fic is published, and i like to respond much later on as well, it just tends to slip my mind if it's an older fic. stuff gets lost in my inbox. i certainly read every comment though, and the comments left on older fics are often the ones that make me happiest!
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
hmmm... i mostly write happy endings unless they're character studies. the true angstiest ending i've written is for a fic i haven't posted yet (hint: it's a sequel to a oneshot of mine!) but i do have short fics about both michael and gerry's deaths in tma? i'll go with the gerry death fic, thinking of the sun.
7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
they're mostly happy!!! but the one that ends most on a note of Joy, i think, would be rosemary and thyme, my fae!martin au :-)
8. do you get hate on fics?
nah. i have an extremely vague memory of getting a comment that made me go "omg my first hate comment" but like it's so vague that i can't tell if it's a false memory or not 😭 people have always been quite nice to me, thankfully!
9. do you write smut?
i do! i tried to avoid it whenever i could when i was younger but these days i've actually become super interested in sex as a vehicle for character studies. that tumblr post that's like "the plot of this smut fic is that character A believes himself abandoned by god" is one HUNDRED percent my approach recently, definitely expect some of that upcoming on my ao3 lolll
10. craziest crossover?
i don't really write crossovers! i like them in comic/fanart form, but i tend to be less interested in crossover fic (unless it's HEU, i do quite like spacedogs)... the only times i've ever thought about creating crossover content myself were for a couple pacrim fusion ideas!
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
eh, not really. a long time ago i did have someone basically rip the worldbuilding from one of my AUs with the serial numbers filed off, but they did ask permission - i said yes because i was like 16 and felt too awkward saying no. so that was weird! but not quite stealing.
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
yes!! to steal a kiss from borrowed lips was translated into russian, such an honor :D
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
i have, a really long time ago. i don't think i would do it again (unless it was with, like, one of two specific irls) bc i think i'd struggle with figuring out a collaborative workflow. part of me also thinks it could be a fun exercise though...
14. all time favorite ship?
OUGH..... mannnn what a question. it changes every few years and i feel like my response is influenced by not just the source material, but the quality of the fan content and the fandom interactions i've had... you know what? i know i have current-hyperfixation bias, but for now i am gonna say hannigram. it's just too peak.
15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Too Many Of Them - but in particular, my chrissy cunningham-centric longfic. it's an entire treatise on sapphic loneliness and small-town queer isolation and i do think it'd be a fucking masterpiece if i ever managed to commit to it, but it's on the forever back-burner i think.
16. what are your writing strengths?
hmm... characterization through dialogue is the main thing, i'd say. i'm always thinking about how to match a given character's speech patterns and i think i tend to capture their voices pretty well!
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
i'm my own biggest critic so i could list a bunch, but pacing is a big one. i tend to let things run too long and i feel like i've only just managed to balance it better in my current wip... only took a decade of fic-writing to get there 😭
18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?
depends a lot on context. honestly too many thoughts to condense well into an answer for this djglfg but in short: usually nice if it's just a few words, but can get unwieldy otherwise
19. first fandom you wrote in?
kuroshitsuji 💀 self-insert and OC-centric fic. how very unlike me
20. favorite fic you've written?
moth to light has been the reigning champ for a while now, but i think several of my current wips could potentially unseat it!

Note
I just got and finished blood moon in one sitting, it was AMAZING!
I will always love werewolves and I think you did werewolves perfectly! Vicky is the best and it was quite the ride with her, so much happened, SO MUCH! (I nearly cried at a few moments with her, glad my run turned out I'm guessing as good as was possible ^^)
I loved all the characters, they felt very well written and I enjoyed them, I very much intend to replay and try other ROs, eyes are mostly on Marco at the moment X)
So many thoughts in my head, but they're so jumbled it's hard to get them out.
But, as much as I do want this to just be singing praises, I do have an actual question to this ask, so I'll leave the last praise as, the writing was hilarious at times, I genuinely laughed at a decent amount of jokes which surprises me, I feel like I don't often laugh out loud when reading unless it's really good! Anyways, with that, to the actual question!
Do you have any intention to make a sequel or anything set in the same sort of setting?
Sorry if that's an odd or rude question after this practically just came out, but I'd love to see more, if there's a plan for it ^^
I just love the characters and the way the werewolves and such seem to work, I'd love to see more, a thought that came to my mind was it'd be pretty interesting to play as an active stray, or maybe I just love angst and team past stray X)
And another question, how do you feel about fanfiction being wrote about blood moon, because like I said, I love werewolves and I love how you did werewolves, so I'd love to get some ideas into a story set in this story's world, if that's alright with you ^^
Sorry for the long ask, it was almost three times the length XD
Hope you have a good day/night and I wish you luck with whatever you make next, probably after resting since I feel like a lot had to have went into this!
This is so amazing. Honestly, getting messages like this makes my day. I'm so glad you liked the game, anon. 💙
To answer your questions:
I am very seriously considering writing a sequel, but it isn't something I can guarantee at this stage. I'm sorry for the vagueness, but I don't want to promise something until I know I can commit to it. I hope you understand.
And fanfic is 100% okay. In fact, I think it's awesome. Please, if you're feeling inspired, don't hold back.

20 Questions Game
Thanks for the tag, @bronzeagepizzeria <3
How many works do you have on AO3?
68!
2. What's your total AO3 words count?
734,052
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently, I really only write Doctor Who aside from a handful of other one-offs I've written, but I literally have at least a hundred WIPs/ideas in my drafts.
Fandoms that I have tons of ideas for are Broadchurch and Jessica Jones (TV series), which I hope to get around to publishing. But I have a fair bit of range hiding away haha.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
In descending order:
Broken-Hearted (cross-over with Broadchurch; multi-chapter; completed)
Braids (one-shot)
Desperate Measures (multi-chapter; completed)
Exes and Ohs (one-shot)
A Lesson in Romantic (AU; multi-chapter; completed)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Pretty much as soon as I can! I appreciate engagement so much and I want to make that known to commenters. Plus, I love a bit of banter and discussion where prompted - it's a delight!
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Oooo, boy. Probably Happy Together? Or maybe the first chapter of Sunburn? Violet Hill was also pretty sad. I love me some dark, heavy stories that fuck up my beloved blorbos.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Although I haven't updated in it in quite a while, I've written a fair bit of the sequels for the A Lesson in Romance universe, and, boy, have I made those two have a (mostly) happy life together.
In terms of published stories, I think Study Buddies would take the cake or one of the many TentooRose pieces I've done. The former is very classic, high school sweetheart vibes with just enough angst dashed in, and I tend to keep the latter sweet, fluffy and horny.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I received some very intense 'constructive' criticism whilst writing A Lesson in Romance - like I'm talking extremely long paragraphs pretty much deconstructing my writing and questioning my content. I was young at the time, it was my first multi-chapter Doctor Who fic, and the fact that this person also pretty much outright told me how I should write my story pissed me off a bit, so I, in the most polite way possible, asked them to stop reading my story and leaving these comments.
Aside from that? I've really only had one sort of bad comment since then, but I opted to not reply.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Oh, you know I do ;) I currently only write F/M; have explored M/M in the past so I'm down to write queer smut if the inspiration ever strikes.
I'm not really a fan of overly kinky stuff that is, say, explicit/specific (e.g. BDSM), but I don't mind stuff that is vaguely/lightly kinky (i.e. I tend to include voyeurism in my stories, but it's generally accidental). I mostly write either very horny or emotional, intimate stuff - I'm a sucker for the feelings associated with the couple.
It honestly depends on what kind of story I'm writing! But as of recent, I've been mostly producing first-time, emotion-heavy smut with a good serving of horniness/wantonness to build up the tension.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I've written two - Broken-Hearted and Fobwatched (if you've been waiting for an update, I promise I think of her often... I'll revive her one day). I'd say BH is crazier, as it does entwine itself with the Human Nature storyline from Doctor Who, but Fobwatched has also had some pretty wacky moments!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge, and I really hope not! I have, admittedly, been a bit fearful of it in recent months.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Again, not to my knowledge! But I'm always open to that conversation if people are interested.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Back when I wrote band/music fanfiction (please forgive me for my crimes), I had started drafting out a fic with someone, but it never went anywhere and we didn't communicate very well either :,)
However, I have been beta-ing the lovely @quite-right-too's fic Dona Nobis Pacem, which has been a lovely collaboration <3 I'm so proud of Cody's work and highly recommend you read it if you haven't!
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
It would probably be DoctorRose! I've never really been more enthralled with a ship before, and the fact that the special interest is still going strong three years on is a pretty good sign. I also tend to come back to Ellie and Alec from Broadchurch quite often.
In the past, I was a hardcore Reylo fan, and I've always enjoyed random, niche ships within my realm of interests (i.e. Evey and V from V For Vendetta; Jackson and Lisa from Red Eye; an array of ships from my horror movies because I love being delusional).
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Look, I'm quite stubborn in my belief that, ultimately, I will finish all my drafts, but I can say that the drafts from when I first started writing Doctor Who fanfiction have been quite difficult to work on because my writing has changed so much since then!
There are also maybe a WIP or two that I have written purely for myself and will never publish. I will probably take these to my deathbed lol.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Hm, I've always been complimented for character accuracy, which I do think I have down pact - writing characters like Ten and Rose have gradually become more comfortable for me over the years and I feel like I know them quite well by this point, which is really surprising considering I've never done a proper rewatch of the show since finishing it aside from some scenes/particular episodes!
I've also always been very anal about detail in my stories - I love including the most unnecessary shit in my work!! Do you need to know what Rose had for breakfast? No. Are you gonna know anyway? YES!!! I just love making my stories feel as organic and lifelike as possible.
I've been working really hard on scenery recently, which I've been getting compliments on! I have aphantasia, so this is something I've put a lot of energy and focus into as I've come to realise it's pretty important for readers lol.
And, not to brag, but I do think I write some pretty banging smut. It's taken ten or so years of practice, but I got there in the end.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Eh, I feel I'm not super great at coming up with like... proper action/plot. Like I can do circumstances and events quite alright, but coming up with something like... say, escaping from a villain/bad situation, I've always felt pretty shit at accomplishing. However, I always try to improve.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I only speak English, so it's a bit daunting! But I just use Google Translate and consult others where possible. And, as Niyati has mentioned in her own post, I recently used her technique of writing from the non-speaker's perspective and it's been a welcome addition to my skills! Shout out, girlie <3
19. First fandom you wrote for?
It would've been 5SOS, but those fics are long gone - I deleted them from Wattpad, and the iPod that the original drafts are on doesn't work, unfortunately.
I also wrote about other bands that I listen to - Asking Alexandria, Of Mice & Men, You Me At Six, Pierce the Veil, and Bring Me The Horizon. I still have most of the drafts, but I deleted all but four of them from the internet lol (the ones that were deleted were unfinished works).
I don't write about these people anymore as I did come to realise, Wait a minute, it's kinda weird and gross to write about these people like this lol (no hate on anyone who does). But I'm always down to chat about my sordid past haha.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
I would have to say "Come, gentle night, come" as it's probably the most amount of effort I put into writing. I think it's my best smut and cherish it deeply!

4. a story idea you haven’t written yet I don't...think...I have one that I haven't written?? I have the story starting disease it's incurable 😭 I mean, I have ideas for sequels to The Novel, or even other stories set in the same world, but I have to finish this one first so they're more vague "one day" threads.
I did have an idea eons ago for a Walking Dead fic but I started it and it just didn't feel any good, so meh. Plus I struggle to maintain constant enthusiasm for that fandom - it hits me for a few months every few years then I get bored of it.
8. if you had to write a sequel to a fic, you’d write one for…
I'm honestly pretty happy with where I've left all of my completed fics. I do think it could be fun to explore James and Theodora's mini adventures with their company, or delve into their "happy" reunion with Jack, but it's also kinda? More fun? To leave it up to the imagination...and let them have some memories that are just theirs.
Yes, I will talk about them like they're real people ✨
13. a fandom you’re thinking about writing for
A Gale fic is a matter of "when" rather than "if", and I suspect I'll really want to write one for Lucanis when I get my hands on the new DA game next week 😭
Thank you!! 💜

20 Questions for Fic Writers
I was tagged by @aawrightworth! Thanks Topaz! <3
1. How many works do you have on A03?
25 currently. Technically, I have 26, including what I wrote for the Ace Attorney Holiday Exchange, but that won't be added to my profile until after creator reveals.
2. What's your total A03 word count?
103,031
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Pretty much exclusively Ace Attorney. I have one Hades Game fic and one DGS one (which AO3 technically classes as a different fandom than AA).
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Of course, the only two smut fics I've written are both in here 😂.
Mile(s) High Club
Locked Inside (The Key to Your Heart)
He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not
Isle of Eros
After All This Time
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes, however, most of the time I'm very slow at getting around to it. I try to match the same amount of time and effort the commenter made when responding, but I sometimes get anxious and overthink my response, which delays me getting to it. I'm working on responding to everyone I haven't yet, and then hopefully will keep up with it from there. Regardless of how long it takes me to respond, please know that I read and treasure every comment. It makes my day when I get that email! 🥰
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
This is a very hard question lol. I'm predominately an angst writer, so I've written some pretty angsty endings. It's hard to think of which one is the most when I feel like a lot are fairly equal. If I had to pick one, then probably The Time Loop Ritual. The ending stands on its own as very angsty, but I've been told the epilogue/sequel fic, All That Remains, has made people even sadder.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
This is hard as well. I've also written plenty of happy endings, and not sure if one stands out happier than the rest. I think I'll go with He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not that I've seen. The closest was something that could be interpreted as a backhanded compliment, as well as a comment that pointed out a flaw in my writing for one of my early fics (which I was already well aware of). But both those comments also contained praise.
9. Do you write smut?
I've only written two smut fics, but I do have some WIPs I hope to finish someday. I want to write more so I can become comfortable with it, but writing it sort of intimidates me TBH. Most of my ideas don't involve smut, so there hasn't really been a need to. But I also know I'd probably come up with a lot more smut related ideas if I wrote it more and became more comfortable writing it.
10. Do you write crossovers?
I haven't and don't know if I ever will. I've tried to brainstorm a Hades Game Thanzag and Narumitsu one before. I came up with some vague ideas for that, but don't know if I will ever go further with it.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I know of, but if anyone ever wanted to translate one of my works, you are free to do so!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! @aeronwolfao3 and I wrote Coffee and Chrysanthemums! It's currently unfinished, but we will continue to work on it one day.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
NaruMitsu/MitsuNaru, of course ❤️💙❤️.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Well, I have a list of 50+ fic WIPs that are in various stages of progress (from a vague several sentence idea, all the way to mostly having a first draft done). That huge, ever-growing list is also why I've been putting off my response to the WIP tag game from a few months ago lol. I also get new ideas fairly often, and I prioritize my writing based on any events and exchanges with deadlines (which I participate in regularly, and also give me new ideas each time). That's all to say that as much as I'd like to get to every idea on that list, I most likely won't. I don't have a specific WIP to mention here, though.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Angsty emotions, especially those resulting from grief, loss, and tragedy. Dialogue. Emotional inner monologue. Creating small little sentimental moments between characters that one of the characters can recall.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Super fluffy content, especially with very little/an absence of plot or conflict. Character and setting description. Writing body language without sounding repetitive or awkward. I've still done all of this decently enough, but it's harder for me and comes less naturally. And I don't utilize description nearly enough.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Maybe someday I'll include some German dialogue for Miles or Franziska or someone else who it would fit for. But I probably will have someone fluent look it over first.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Ace Attorney! While it wasn't my first posted fic, one of the fics I first worked on originated as a script for a comic back in May 2021. It was through the encouragement of some people in the fandom that I started writing and adapted that script and comic idea into a fic: Keeping Up Appearances. My first actual posted fic (not including my co-written fic which first chapter was published two days earlier) was Never Meet Your Idol, a drabble written for a prompt on Discord.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Another hard question. If I answered this last year, this would probably be much easier to answer, but now I've written so much more that I'm happy with.
I'm gonna put two, since one of the ones I really like is still unfinished, and part of my joy is because I know the full extent of it (which the readers don't have that benefit). The one I'm talking about is my 1-2 canon-divergence fic, A Demon’s Justice. There are two chapters out so far that I'm both mostly content with, and five planned chapters still to go. I first thought of the idea almost a year ago now, though I didn't start actually writing it since the summer. It's grown a lot since I first envisioned it, and will probably be close to 30K by the time it's finished. While I won't know how I feel in total until I can read the whole finished version, I am excited to write more and for what I have planned.
For finished, this one is much harder, and I feel like my answer fluctuates. For now, I'll go with The Lies We Tell As Our Secrets Are Held. The idea came to me in the shower when I was brainstorming fic ideas for NaruMitsu week this year. The storytelling style is a bit different than other stuff I've written. I think it achieved the feeling I was trying to capture, and I'm happy with a lot of my descriptions.

help i keep on coming back to your metro lines au :( I love all your works but I think this is my fave (jk I'll probably change my mind tomorrow). I think someone already asked you about other hcs before, but if you can share more hehe also if you're planning any future fics on it?
Ahh thank you so much!! I’m so glad that that fic made a lasting impression on you - Metro Lines is definitely the fic that I worked the hardest on and I tend to think of it as my best-written work, so it means a lot to me to hear that you enjoyed it.
I do actually have a couple of ideas for other fics in the Metro Lines universe that I hope to get around to writing one day, the least-developed of which is a CanMaker-centric companion piece that, tbh, was inspired by the person who asked me for Metro Lines CanMaker hcs. I had a few vague ideas about their characters/relationship before, but writing those hcs made me really want to write a full little fic for them. Paintmaker Geonbu (wait paintmaker + paint cans = literal can maker??? Should I just call Metro Lines universe CanMaker “PaintMaker”?!) is very near to my heart, as is stamp carver Yonghyuk, so I’d love to write about their stories!!
The second fic idea is another spin-off that I was thinking about from the moment I first started the fic (I considered writing this directly after publishing Metro Lines, but got distracted) titled “Your Body, My Temple”. It is a prequel fic about the incredibly storied relationship between Tattoo Artist!Ruler and this universe’s Lehends. They are very messy and very physical but they’re artistic and tragic in their own beautiful way. While I am not brainrotting about them nearly as hard now as I was a month ago, I would not be surprised if they make a resurgence in my hyperfixation cycle at some point.
My final idea is “Paint the Town Red”, a proper sequel to Metro Lines and a continuation of Suhwan’s journey of self-exploration and finding his artistic style. This fic would explore the dynasties and dystopia of this universe’s street artist scene and how Suhwan tries to find his place in it and fight for his newfound beliefs. It may or may not also involve the return of the Unkillable Demon King of the street art world, accompanied by some new blood artists of his own…
Right now, I’m afraid my to-write list is already full beyond capacity, so I probably won’t get around to writing any of these fics until 2025 earliest (maybe December actually), but we’ll see! I have admittedly been in a bit of a slump recently, and whenever that happens, I usually get back on track by digging up an idea that’s not on my list and just vibing with it. So there’s a chance one of these could be my next saving grace.
Thank you so much for your interest and support, and may all your objective smites be perfectly timed <3

I finished re-reading Dis Manibus for the hundredth time, and it’s still 100/100. You made me enjoy Luke as a character, and I think you really highlighted his compassion and gentleness, which not all stories do well. I also loved the Thryce, of course.
Two questions, if you don’t mind: 1) At the end, is Luke coming to like Pryce due to the residual influence of Thrawn, or does he genuinely like her as a person? Maybe a bit of both? 2) I vaguely remember a sequel being mentioned on your blog. Do you still intend to write one someday?
Thank you so much for this amazing note @mireilleblue! So happy to hear Dis Manibus holds up on the rereads! And your words about Luke and Thryce just turn me into a puddle of happiness.
I do not mind questions at all (I love asks!) and in this case you gave me an excuse to talk about a fic that is a fave! It was such an unexpected story that really wrote itself, and it was a real pleasure to get it on the digital “page.”
I am putting the answers to your questions below the cut because there be spoilers if anyone hasn’t read the fic! Anyone who would like to, please come back later and... 😊
So to your first question, the answer is definitely “a little bit of both.” My idea was that Luke, being Luke, can see the good in everyone, including Pryce. Early on, he believes she can be reformed and forgiven, even if she doesn’t see that as a real possibility. He admires her resilience and skills, and because he is so compassionate, he tries not to judge her for the sins of her past (even though he does have initial reservations about it, he is able to trust in the Force enough to let them go).
But when he wakes up after hosting Thrawn, there is most definitely some spiritual residue coloring his perception, as you know. Our first hint is this line:
“Something twinged inside him, an immediate sense of concern. Luke wasn’t quite sure where it came from.”
And then it continues to manifest in subtle ways, from being warmed by her compliments, his reaction to her touch, the way he knows how she wants to argue as if they had done it “a thousand times”, etc.
Luke has the presence of mind to recognize these traces of Thrawn, and while Pryce doesn’t understand it, she also obviously senses something isn’t quite right when he “sounds like” Thrawn.
Poor Luke, complicating his own life to help others (he’s good at that). But as the ending indicates, he’s ultimately at peace with how things turned out. However, my intention with the last line regarding Luke’s dreams.was to suggest that Thrawn’s psychic residue may be quite a bit stronger than expected.
Now…about that sequel...
I think at this point it’s fair to say I probably will write it. I went into a lot of detail about it in this old post below (another wonderful ask from @beebee-76) that you can read if you would like spoilers for what is to come.
If you don't want to spoil it, I'll give some more general thoughts:
The point of Dis Manibus was, as I mention in that above post, to get Luke and Pryce to hook up…that was my original and only intention, and well, you can see that didn’t work out (not that I am complaining! I love when stories write themselves). But I do feel like there is more to Luke & Pryce's story, especially now that we know a little bit of Thrawn’s influence and love has seeped into our handsome Jedi’s soul.
So the sequel would explore that. When I came up with the concept for the sequel, fully formed like Athena from the head of Zeus, I decided “well, if I just type it up for everyone on the Thryce Discord, then I won’t have any more desire to write it.” Well hah, the joke is on me because this is one plot bunny that is not leaving my pasture, just hopping about, grazing, and reminded me occasionally that there is a rich and emotionally very complicated tale to be told.
In the meantime, if you’d like more Dis Manibus content, I wrote a little drabble from the "someday sequel" here:
and the amazing @blackmonitor did some glorious fanart inspired by it here.
Thank you again so much for this wonderful ask and your kind words—it just makes my week to know you still love it! Readers like you are gifts. Please have this pic in gratitude!

WIP Updates
Been a while since I did one of these, and I should honestly be trying to sleep so this damn sore throat/respiratory crap goes away, but I just can't breathe when I lay down >_< however, I'm feeling a bit better than a couple days ago so I'll do this update and see if I can concentrate long enough to get some words in on at least one of these projects.
Project Zander:
I finished chapter five last night and sent it off to the beta readers. That one took a while to really come together to my satisfaction, especially the past scene. I had over 10k words on this chapter at one point before figuring out what it needed and cutting it down to 6500.
I am now working on outlining the next five chapters before I dive into chapter six.
Untitled Original Project:
I decided to scavenge some parts from Teenage Vigilante Witch and build an original story out of it. So far I like what I've got, which is about 4k words and needs a lot of outlining. Still keeping the found family aspect, but I'm doing a lot of world building and outlining to ensure it's a very different story from Teenage Viginate Witch. Looking back on it now, there was a lot of stuff I wish I'd explored in that first story, but it was written very fast and thrown up on archive to prove to myself that I could still write. I never intend to go back and edit or rewrite any of it, so I'm going to take the potential it had and put it into another story and take it a couple jogs to the left. Mostly, I'm going to be exploring that guilty/vigilante mindset with a spell amnesia twist that slowly pulls back to reveal a truth better left forgotten with a different take on found family. Still working out a lot of the details but I'm excited for it.
Home Across the Universe #10:
It's a little over 3k at the moment but I have notes and scenes in my email that I need to get and stitch together in the draft, so it's likely closer to 5k. Also, I already have the ending outlined and I'm excited to get to that since it's a cliffhanger I'm gonna get yelled at over. Looking forward to that. I may poke at this one today and see if I can get some more written on it.
Rabbit Come Home part 4:
Also a little over 3k written, I'm still outlining the scenes to make sure I include everything I need to so it's a satisfying ending. I'm shooting for this to be the end of the series and there are a lot of threads to tie off.
Into the Black, Episode 3:
Also sitting at 3k, this has a couple of chunk sitting in my email I need to stitch in as well. I haven't worked on it in a couple weeks and need to sit down and outline my scenes to figure out where it needs to go. I have a vague idea but not enough to work on, especially today with my mind being fried from sickness.
Untitled Sequel to the supposed Jurassic World/Teen Wolf Oneshot:
I told myself it was a one shot and I believed it for a while, but a plot bunny bit me after a recent rewatch of Fallen Kingdom and I now have...5,515 words of a sequel. It goes a bit AU from Fallen Kingdom because I had high hopes for the promises that movie set up for Dominion that Dominion just did not deliver for me. I'm still let down about that, apparently. I'm aiming to keep the story small in scale, but it was fun pitting Stiles against dinosaurs the first time and this sequel has him showcasing some more of his smarts while injured and a little delirious from pain meds, so it should be entertaining.
Aaand, that's all I've been working on lately. Hoping to get the next Home Across the Universe oneshot finished and posted first, though I'm not making any promises or predictions on when that will be. Hopefully I can scrape together enough brain cells to work on it today and get it closer to the end scene.

22 and 23 please!
Hiya, Bella! Thank you for these!
22. Do you know how your fic will end before you start writing?
Typically, yes. i'll be fine, i'll be good (my Slytherin!Lily AU) I actually didn't...I had a vague sense of where I wanted her to end up but I had no idea the circumstances surrounding it until much later. restless waves was SO clear to me once I expanded it into a multichapter, I always knew where and how it'd end. And the oneshots...well they're just a little bit easier to plan out.
OH I say that but the restless waves sequel, my waves meet your shore totally took me on a ride and it was NOT supposed to end how it did (I didn't fully have a plan when I started writing, which is pretty rare lol)
23. How do you choose where to end a chapter (if you have multi-chapter works)?
For restless waves, it was mostly about length and where it felt natural. That fic was supposed to be 3 chapters, but when it took like 12k for Sirius to come aboard in chapter 2, I knew there was no way to fit in a fight with the navy in that same chapter, so that got pushed back. And then chapters 4 & 5 were meant to be one chapter as well, and length did it's thing. But when I knew I'd be splitting those up...😈 I knew exactly where to put the break.
For i'll be fine, i'll be good, this is a fic that was also supposed to be a one-shot and then three chapters and is now five (a theme, I think). In it's three-chapter iteration, I was going to group 1st-6th Years together as a chapter, have 7th Year be it's own chapter, and then have post-Hogwarts be it's own chapter. Guess what? IT'S STILL TOO LONG. So now you'll be getting each Hogwarts year as its own chapter, and Post-Hogwarts split into two chapters.
Annnnnd as for Things That Haven't Happened Yet? That's easy—it's by days!
Oops I rambled—sorry! Thanks, Bella! ☺️

Good morning Sflow :)
For the ask game I'd love to hear your thoughts about these two, if you feel like answering (no pressure though!):
🍭why did you start writing?
🌿how does creating make you feel?
Thank you. Wishing you a lovely day! <3
Good evening, friend 💛
I saved your ask for last because these are both really deep questions, and I've actually spent a lot of time reflecting on them today, especially the first one. So, exactly the kind I'd expect from you, and they deserve the kind of rambling personal answers you know to expect from me.
I'll put a cut here to make it easier for people to scroll on if they aren't interested, but of course anyone who is interested is welcome to read my answers!
🍭why did you start writing?
I guess the short answer is, as a creative outlet. But there is also a very long answer, as I've started writing several times over the course of my life.
On the first time, I started for my little brother. We played a lot of imagination games when we were kids, and I wanted to expand on those. We had an imaginary world with about two dozen characters but could only play a few of them at the same time, the stories were 'lost' when the game ended, and I had too many ideas anyway. So I started drawing and writing some of them down. This first phase went on from age 9 to 14 or so.
On the second time (overlapping the first), I started for narrative closure. A video game that I was completely obsessed with had a sad ending, so I wrote another. It was fun, so I went on to another story I wanted to continue, characters I wanted to expand on, and so on. I wrote most of these in my English notebook, for which I also got extra credit and feedback from my English teacher.
After a couple of years of just writing in my notebook, I discovered that I was doing a thing called fan fiction, and there were places to put it online. So I started doing that. Eventually, I got an original idea, and I wrote a story of about 50k and even started a sequel. This second phase lasted from age 13 to 19/20.
Then I started at uni. Life got in the way, and my creativity was gone. I never finished the sequel, and even when I eventually got obsessed with a new piece of media and tried to write something for it, I just couldn't get anything coherent down. I eventually took down all my old fics too, thinking that chapter of my life was closed for good. This phase lasted until I watched Young Royals at the age of 33.
On the third time, I started as an outlet for my suddenly reborn creativity - and my still very fragile ace identity. I found the rich world of YR incredibly inspiring and wanted to continue the story (as we didn't even know if there would be an S2). I also really wanted to contribute something to the fandom that was growing around it, but I didn't have the confidence or the ideas to focus on Wilmon.
Well, as luck would have it, there was a veritable blank slate of a minor character who would be perfect for a canon expansion and even gave me a vague ace vibe for some reason. And if I made him asexual, well, figuring out how he felt about various stuff would be a good excuse to work on myself on the side. I wasn't sure if I actually had the guts to make that part of his characterisation visible in the fic, and he'd have to be very different from me as I never liked self-inserts, but yeah. That could be interesting.
I'm still in this third phase, although the self-reflection has taken a backseat now.
🌿how does creating make you feel?
It's hard to describe. One part of it is just plain relief, because it gets to a point where you really just need an outlet for all the creative energy. One part is this huge sense of accomplishment and satisfaction over seeing the thing you imagined and planned come together. It was just something you cooked up in your head, and now it's out there, making sense. Or at least being its own aesthetic/artistic entity. Either way, you did it, wow.
And of course one part is the joy of knowing that people enjoyed something you made and/or it touched them. I had sort of forgotten about that while I wasn't writing, and I'm very grateful to have experienced it again.
Thank you again for these wonderful asks!
Ask list for reference.

Hi hi~! Life update here
Hi there!
Yes, I'm still alive lol, it's just that 85% of my social media time I currently spend it on Twitter (I refuse to call it how Elmo Muskrat wants the site to be called lol), and 15% I spend it on Bluesky (which, by the way, if you wanna find me there, I'm Eirenare too there lol).
I'm still very veeeeeery much in my Reylo brainrot haha, so yeah, you might see me posting or reblogging every now and then some of it, although I've been as well into some other stuff lately (Elden Ring for example), so you might see me posting about that too, so just a heads up there about it (and don't worry, everything I post here, regardless of what it is, as usual it'll have its tags and spoiler warnings, a "read more" if need be, etc).
My energy's been specially low for the past months though to be honest, so I can't guarantee I'll be very active around here (except for private messages, I'll be checking these every little time), just that every now and then I'll come here and post or reblog some stuff, probably Reylo and other things Star Wars or series/movies, life updates too, maybe will share in a bit of my Elden Ring brainrot and theories as its DLC approaches and I get more and more excited.
Anyways, here's some random life update stuff and anecdotes that I wanted to say before I log off for the night here:
I fell into the Kalluzeb (Kallus x Zeb, from Star Wars Rebels) rabbithole some time ago and it was, and is, neat, I love them so much
earlier today I had churros and hot chocolate as desert at lunch time and I was in cloud nine all the while I chomped on them
apparently my brain won't cease to come up with new Reylo AUs which is amazing and so much fun but also if I ever showed you guys screenshots of my Google Docs you might just faint because there are just so many things there between WIPs I'm currently working on that are already on Ao3, future things to go on Ao3, vague WIPs, AU ideas... and my energy is running so low and I'm working on various Ao3 WIPs so yeah lol I don't think I'll ever write even half of the fics I noted down
I watched Barbie at the cinema and it became one of my new comfort movies and one of my fave movies of all time
somehow I'm not as bad as I thought I'd be at Elden Ring even though I'm clumsy, a scaredycat and my tunnel vision goes lvl 100 when I'm playing videogames which usually means "good luck remembering to look at your stamina bar and using key items", so seeing myself not get too stuck on bosses was unexpected and neat (in fact, funnily enough: somehow this game even makes my anxiety lower at times and it barely increases it at all even when I'm fighting bosses, go figure lol)
I had the chance to buy Final Fantasy XVI at a much cheaper price than release price but because at that site I didn't see any warning that it was temporary, by the time I went to buy it, it had risen price again so now I'm awaiting once again for both better prices and for my wallet to recover
my brother bought a PS5 back in spring and a copy of Star Wars Jedi Survivor and, since we live in the same house, I did play that game and it was amazing asdfgffdgfjfb there were only a very few things I didn't like that much but holy shit was it good, some stuff even felt tailor-made for me in ways I wasn't expecting but that I enjoyed very much (and also the tears, the rivers of tears I shed on certain scenes lol) and now I'm super hyped for the 3rd whenever it is that it'll happen
the official Star Wars accounts at Twitter have been posting quite a bit about Reylo and the sequels and Ben for the past days (and I gotta say, the account from Spain even added some extra Reylo flavor in some tweets that other accounts didn't which is curious) and I'm clowning kinda hard, hoping that DLF finally realized most of the people actually like a lot Reylo (or don't mind it) and the ST, and hoping (always hoping, always dreading to hope too much, but hoping anyways) that we'll get Rey and Ben reunited in her movie
Anyways x2, enough anecdotes and thoughts for the night, see you around lovely people~! <3 Hopefully soon lol, but if not... *looks at 2024 fast approaching* if not, then I'll 100% be around to gossip and scream for when the Rey movie begins production and talks begin and all that stuff, lol.
Good night~! :D I hope you have a great day and/or a good sleep~! <3
EDIT: looooool apparently this was my 100th post in here and I got a free badge for my profile so yay, nice~ x) XDD
#My life#Life update#My personal life#Reylo#(adding Reylo to the tags because there's a little bit of talking about how the official SW Twitter accounts have been posting about it)#(which is kiiiind of sus if you ask me but maybe that's my clown ass hoping for good things in post-TROS aka the Rey and Ben reunion)

13 and 16 for fanfic ask game please 😍
Thanks for the ask! <3
13. What’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?
I'm. Not gonna lie. I, uh, don't know. I, uh, think the main one is like, keeping a habit of it? Even if it's not all fic writing or even if I don't get much done or not everyday, I do my best to do some writing almost everyday.
16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?
Ok, so I'm nurturing about 22 right now, but not all of them are that serious or will happen anytime soon, though they're all still something I would like to do one day.
Ok last night I talked about my Tamers sequel fic so instead I'll talk about this like, vague half-formed idea of a project that I don't know if/when it'll ever come together but the brainworm entered me and I want to try and do it someday. I had this thought after seeing Digimon Emperor!Yolei AUs, of one for Kari? Some malevolent force from the Dark Ocean manipulates her, having her believe it's Homeostasis and sending her on some sort of, zealot's crusade in the Digital World to "improve it" or keep it safe under her rule when really it's just the darkness manipulating her to no end while she believes she's doing the right thing?
It would be something fun I would like to do one day, basically just turning the dial of goodness on Kari so far that it eventually just circles over into bad and the implications of the child of light being corrupted in a bid to doom the digital world
Thanks for the asks! This was a lot of fun even though it proved VERY difficult to answer lmao

K, L and/or M <3
K: What's the angstiest idea you've ever come up with?
Back in the Alias days, I killed off Vaughn and/or Will (I'm sorry, Will Tippin, I did love you!) so many times. In my defense, that show lent itself very well to Sydney Bristow's sadness and how no man is an island but Sydney Bristow sure could be! I also probably wrote a bit of angsty House stuff, particularly during that Tritter arc. I can barely remember it now, but didn't Cuddy perjure herself for him? God, they were so good when they weren't canonical! I wrote a lot more angst back in the day, that's for sure.
L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
I'm constantly revising while I'm writing because all my pre-existing plans are vague enough that while I'm writing, it's a lot like those magic tricks with the ball shuffling between three solo cups. Then once the thing is done, I'll usually give it a read through once or twice, but by then I've read segments of it so many times that there's not much left to edit except flow. As an aside, this is also why I rarely post WIPs (never again!) because once it's out in the ether, it's set in stone and I'm committed to serving that narrative, which kind of narrows the choices – or forces you to become more creative about them? I'm not entirely sure the trade-off of feeling like it's a story I have to finish because I started posting it is worth the restrictions it places.
M: Got any premises on the back burner that you'd care to share?
I am always thinking of space/heist/spy AUs because you simply cannot go wrong with that. I'm still flirting around with Top Gun: Maverick in space – the idea is astonishingly well formed in my head by now: a Mars rescue mission reluctantly spearheaded by an astronaut who has already lost his mind once – but it feels like it would be a tome and I'm not sure I want to commit to that. Once The Batman sequel rogues gallery is announced, I'm sure I will once again be obsessed with bridging emo Nirvana-on-repeat guyliner Bruce Wayne and debonair, faux debauched billionaire Bruce Wayne. (In my mind, in that universe, the bridge will always, always, always be Selina Kyle.) I also keep writing bits and pieces of what Roswell, New Mexico robbed us of – namely Kyle Valenti's Olivia Rodrigo-fueled road trip through Mexico to find Allie Meyers but of course make it awkward by having Isobel be his road trip buddy (pre-declaration because a post-declaration road trip is a level of awkward that no one wants to see). There's almost nothing I love more than road trip fic punctuated by seedy motels and drunken debauchery!

hello syb how r u !! i love looking at the posts you put into your original writing tag. is there anything about your original writing you'd like to talk about? setting(s) or ocs or something?
Hiiii shoop what a sweet ask and question! Thank you!
I'll be real here, the "original writing inspiration" tag is more of a "saved" list than anything else-- no particular story attached to them, I just fancy that someday I'll want to Write Something and if I don't have an idea I'll look through those for vibes. The images or quotes are ones that I feel could be attached to a story, if I was sifting through them with a creative eye. It might just be scratching a scavenger's itch though, I've never actually gone through them with the intention to come up with something new.
Stuff for original writing though, if it's got a concrete character or vague-ish vibes, it probably has its own tag! Most of the time they skate off inspiration from a fanfiction or an OC from a fanfiction that really gains their own life. For instance #braided with a knife I started because I kept thinking about the Okada/Jay dynamic that I liked so much, but I had nothing else to say about in kayfabe canon for (I really liked where my friend left the fic with her sequel :") ).
Another one I recently was poking at again was #stripped to the teeth (link goes to my cowboys blog since the original idea was from a cowboys fanfiction). I named one of the lead characters Medea Horsewhip the other day -- she picked the name herself since she's a bit of a mythology nerd (and a bit extra). She's a ruthless outlaw / bank robber, but at the start of the story finds herself in a weird situation where due to Weird West shenanigans, she's a ghost inhabiting the body of a kind of rival-lover-ish >:)
Original writing is tough for me, I'll admit! I had the best run with writing Ambergris, a novel I got 2/3s of the way through. I had to pause on it first due to pandemic, and then due to personal reasons. I kind of want to rework the climax and ending but I'm not sure where to start. It's tough because it's very easy to write in community for fanfiction, and that's a big motivator for me. I like to share and co-create. So I've been thinking if I want to get back into that, I actually was thinking about whether I should look into a library writing group today!
#chatter#original writing#about my writing#the tag is braided with a knife because i have terminal brainrot. and think okada should braid jay's hair#i think that would be terrible for jay (positive) and mildly pleasant for okada#wrestling shipping
