“With the current state of our world and the recent developments of yet another war in our midst, take a look at some of the ideas of 'Peace' found in our visual language today, and from the past. What is the most important, or relevant, symbol or design that comes to mind in regards to the idea of 'peace'.” I also agree that the peace sign is the most visually recognizable and distinct image of peace that we have in our modern world. However, for the sake of originality, I’ll be discussing the hand symbol for the peace sign. I use this peace sign in so many photos quite unironically. If someone takes a photo of me in a group, I automatically put the hand up. But why do I do this? I don’t even know myself. I think the origins of me doing this started when I was on tumblr and growing up watching Dan and Phil. Dan Howell made a joke in a video that his go to pose for photos was a peace sign, and I think I subconsciously adopted that from him; the two british gents were my favourite content creators after all. I see people do this everywhere, whether it be for a quirky pose in photos, or people like myself who get a bit camera shy when others take the photo and use it as a shield. The meaning behind this symbol, though, has washed away in the sands of time; or more realistically, the code of the digital landscape. Originally used as more of a ‘V’ symbol, it was used to show signs of victory after the allies won the second World War. Winston Churchill was actually one of the first people to have used the ‘V’ sign. However, during the war in Vietnam, the sign was used as counterculture for a symbol of peace, and is still being used worldwide as the iconic “peace sign”.  Now this symbol in photographs is actually inspired by Japanese culture! With the palm facing outward, the symbol is very commonly used by young Japanese people when posing for photographs. Known in Japan as ‘pīsu sain’ (ピースサイン), or more commonly simply pīsu (ピース), Americans and other nations worldwide have adopted this informal style pose in photographs. Although used as a symbol of peace after wars, now this symbol is used by quirky youth in poses. However, seeing this symbol everywhere might also show to people that you are cool to be around…almost peaceful.

the genius idea that gray proposed to her of creating a wondrous collab, displaying her gift for playing the guitar. the time that has passed by since she last strung the chords have been a couple of weeks. despite the fact that she isn’t too concerned of slipping up, considering she’s sat for a good number of days on this project. the language of the song is her native tongue, japanese, which is easy to learn the lyrics of. she’s got the lyrics but meshing the timing with the guitar play is what she’s predominantly focused her concentration on.

she’s not singing alone so she doesn’t reserve hesitations or fears, that could obstruct the magic of the art of music. so she gifts a smile to the camera every now and then, for the world is watching her. many eyes are locked to her, but she keeps singing to the best of her ability.

sakura is not an opera singer, merely an average gal with a soft tone to her voice that’s pleasant to the ear. she’s lived with the opinion of herself to be a good rapper, decent dancer and singer. by this notion, she strives to work hard and better her musicianship. the breaking high note from what she had originally hard is not one she follows. so she trusts in her comfort zone so that her voice doesn’t scatter in ranges of off-pitch.

蛹のままで 眠る魂も 食べかけのまま 捨てたあの夢を もう一度 取り戻せ she catches her breath in the moments where there are gaps within the lyrics to hold her voice control. she’s realised that breathing control is an important technique in singing but has not perfected this feature entirely. the momentum of the song is one that suits her timbre, low and gentle to the ears. gray keeps going on with the guitar, his consistency has sakura at shock at the undying effort and will he has.

lost in paradise by ali [ jujutsu kaisen ]: sue me. this song is everything. i was absolutely torn when they took it off of spotify. i could probably be resuscitated with this song alone. it’s worth like three lifetimes.

hunting for your dream by galneryus [ hunter x hunter ]: it’s so good. like this song makes me ascend. it gives me wings. it’s audio redbull. there was a time where i could only listen to this song but i’ve kind of phased out of it and no longer listen to it that often but it’s still number one. so so fucking good.

shinzo wo sasageyo! by linked horizon [ attack on titan ]: this is the best song in the aot soundtrack and i literally will not accept any other answers. i do the salute like a complete dork when i hear it.

ピースサイン by kenshi yonezu [ my hero academia ]: this song is so good it makes me want to cry actually like it fills me with indescribable happiness.

paradise by rude-a [ sk8 the infinity ]: the guitar!!!!!! its so klhdjsfgiudkjsfuiajkhd like it scratches my brain and i scream its so hype im just like wow!!!! WOOWOWO!!!!! yeah.
