Initially, she had only meant to tease the other. Just harmless fun, but she was caught off guard at Taejoon’s sudden forwardness.

She became visibly flustered by the man's words. "I..." She was usually very quick with her words, but her mind was completely blank at the simple thought of just kissing Taejoon. She let out a forced laugh and playfully hit his chest. "You play around too much!"

A starter for @thevictoryofthepeople ft. Hana and Taejoon

~A walk back in time~

The sky was a brilliant blue, and the breeze was warm. The sun was high in the sky, shining brightly. Today was the day she and her sister would travel to the palace and meet the prince for the first time since being chosen to marry the prince. Well, it was more like her sister was meeting the prince, Hayoung was going along as her sister's companion.  She listened to the birds as they made their journey. 

It was quiet for a while before she glanced over at the other woman, seeing the nervousness on her sister’s face she scooted closer in the carriage. “A penny for your thoughts, sister?” 

“What if he hates me? What if my looks repulse him?” Eunha let worry settle on her face as she fiddled with her thumbs. Hayoung reached over to place her had over her sister’s own. 

“His Highness would be lucky to have you.” Hayong tried her best to soothe her elder sister’s discomfort. “You're as lovely as spring itself! Don’t forget you are gifted with humor!” Hayoung smiled brightly at the other woman. 

Eunha smiled at the younger woman. "I just don't want to shame our family, and disappoint Mother and Father..."

"You won't, and you'll do good things! I believe it, Eunha. " Hayoung nodded. A good few more moments later, they arrived at the place. Hayoung and Eunha stared in awe. It was grander than any place they had ever been! They had been led to the front steps. Hayoung looked up to the top of the stone steps to see the prince and other critical looking individuals accompanying him. The girls both bowed deeply in the presence of the prince. He was definitely more handsome than the rumors lead them to believe.

A breath of relief passed pink lips after hearing Taejoon’s reply. “I should be thanking you. I’m terrified of thunder...” She admitted. “It’s silly but true...” She felt a little embarrassed to be admitting that to Taejoon. A particularly loud clap of thunder boomed loudly over them causing Hana to almost jump out of her skin. 

Loud noises were something she couldn’t stand. Sometimes the thunder would remind her of her father and mother fighting when she was young. So loud and they were always so nasty to each other. She was happy that Taejoon was here to distract her. 

“Can I get you something to drink, Taejoon?” The short brunette asked with a ghost of a smile as she made her way to the kitchen to find some tea, or cocoa to make.
