Something that kinda distresses me about ftm Vergil and/or Dante fanart is that the top surgery scars are the only scars they have

Dante getting impaled is basically a running joke in the games and VoV confirmed that Vergil was physically tortured, so where are those scars?

Don't get me wrong - I love the art and the concept, and I know the artists never mean to come off this way, but it feeds into the whole "pretty scars only" thing where people with artful slashes through an eyebrow are fawned over but anyone with acne scars is ridiculed

Idk it just makes me sad

#devil may cry #once again im not blaming the artists nor am i demanding they bow to my wishes #people are allowed to draw whatever the fuck they want #it's merely an observation that upsets me enough to make a mild post abt #bc i got so many ugly scars from acne and falling off bikes and other shit that it stands out when people should have scars but dont #amab fanart can get away w no scars under the logic that they heal so fast that it leaves no trace #the reason ftm cant do the same is bc the presence of the top surgery scars means that scarring IS possible #and therefore raises question abt why this one but not that #it just gets me thinkin yknow?
