once again. i am thinking about an alternate end of time ending where the master joins up with the doctor on the tardis, but now specifically, an au where the doctor still ends up regenerating and crashlanding in amy's backyard. au where the doctor doesn't show up 12 years late because two timelords piloting a tardis is (marginally) better than one, and now amelia pond is going on adventures in time and space in the care of the two least qualified being in the history of the universe to take care of a seven year old.
#an amy pond who grows up on the tardis would be a terrifying thing indeed.#i dont know if its funnier if the master doesnt regenerate too and now every time they show up in the modern day dozens of tabloids get#pictures of him and the doctor going 'FORMER DISGRACED PRIME MINISTER SPOTTED? GAY??? SECRET SCOTTISH DAUGHTER???'#the picture is eleven leading the way while a very disgruntled master gives amy a piggyback ride (if he doesn't she'll start biting again)#on the other hand. if the master regenerates into missy that's just as funny. evil mary poppins to raise amy.#doctor who#local bastard who keeps trying to destroy the world reluctantly fond of feral ginger child they picked up. still wants to destroy the world#but not before amelia gets to go out for ice cream first.

Frustrations ~ Dhawan!Master x Reader
Request: Oof these angsty master x reader are hitting hard 😭 can i request a funny / fluffy one? I had the idea that the master kidnaps the reader from the fam and he like handcuffs them together so the doctor can't hurt him without putting the reader at risk? And they both get more and more annoyed with each other, but the master realises he's actually beginning to reply like them? Even better if it ends with like kissing but IDK up to you obvs 😂 Thanks in advance! ☺ ( @resonate-concrete )
Warnings: Just pure crack. Honestly.
You paced around the space station, listening to the Doctor’s ranting as she did what she always does. Get distracted. The fam were watching her with amused glances as you took a look around the station, taking it all in. You were definitely in the future, that was for sure. You took a glance out one of the windows as you saw debris floating around outside. The planet you were on had a purple surface, as the deep night sky encased it. Peering back, you realised the others had disappeared, as you sighed to yourself. Every time. You mumbled annoyances as you stepped back from the window. They couldn’t have gotten far.
You began to search the base, calling out for your friends as you began to grow tired of looking. You sighed to yourself, before deciding to try calling them with your phone. As you pulled it out, you felt a hand grip round your mouth, muffling your yelps as you tried to struggle away. You instantly went into flight mode, as you kicked your leg back, hitting whoever was trying to keep ahold of you as you heard them hiss. However, their hand was still over your mouth as you narrowed your eyes, deciding to try your luck. Hey, it worked in the movies. You managed to shuffle your head slightly, in a way that their hand slipped, causing their finger to be over your mouth as you instantly bit it. Hard. The person yelled in pain as you flew forwards, falling to the floor. You gasped, as you turned around, looking up at your potential kidnapper.
“What the hell are you doing here?!” You exclaimed, seeing it was in fact the Master. He looked very angry. He was clutching his finger with his free hand as he glared down at you.
“What is wrong with you humans?” He hissed, waving his hand about as he took a step towards you, towering over you.
“You’re the one who tried to kidnap me!” You furrowed your brows.
“Doesn’t mean you had to bite me!” He growled, before kneeling down towards you, a small smirk on his lips. “Although, if that’s what you’re into.” He wiggled his brows suggestively as you pulled a disgusted face.
“In your dreams, psycho.” You spat, as his smirk fell at your words. Oh, it never fails to entertain you. Bringing down a mans ego. Alien or human. He reached into his pocket, revealing some sort of device as you looked at it in confusion.
“What’s your plan?” You asked, voice quiet as you stared into his dark eyes. He smirked once more.
“This.” Before you could flinch away, he quickly managed to place the device on your wrist as it bolted around your wrist, another part grasping around his own.
“Handcuffs?!” You exclaimed, trying to pull your wrist away from his, but he was too strong. “Wow you really are into power dynamics aren’t you?” You commented as he rolled his eyes, getting up as he yanked you with him. You hissed at the pressure on your wrist. “Right so, what now?” You asked calmly, seemingly bored of his antics already. “You better have a key for these things.” You gestured to the handcuffs.
“Like I’d tell you.” He sneered as you pulled a face at him. “You are insufferable.”
“Yup. Been told that before.” You replied, looking happy with yourself.
“Perhaps I made the wrong choice of captive.” He commented, tugging you along as you walked moodily next to him.
“My mum always said that if I got kidnapped they would return me.” You shrugged casually as he tried not to grow annoyed with your pointless rambling.
It had been ages since you had lost the others. Part of you worried they’d gotten into some trouble. Of course they had. It was the Doctor after all. You began to grow tired of walking about as you stopped, causing the Master to peer over at you, irritated.
“What now?” He huffed, exasperated.
“My feet hurt.” You whined like a child.
“Not my problem.” He gave you a tight, wicked smile as you glared at him.
“Also you owe me a new phone.” You pouted, looking down at the device in your free hand.
“I’m sure you’ll live without it for a few hours.” He rolled his eyes. God was this what it was like to have humans tag along with you? It was exhausting.
“Brand new model as well.” You muttered as he began to walk once more, pulling you along. You whined as you had to follow him, your feet begging you to stop. “So what was the plan? Handcuff yourself to me then what?”
“Well, if you’re with me, and I’m the only one who can release the handcuffs, then the Doctor wouldn’t risk putting you in harms way.” He told you as you narrowed your eyes.
“That’s a stupid plan.” You mumbled as he clenched his jaw. “I mean, come on!” You laughed. “Aren’t you meant to be like some sort of evil genius who comes up with these great big extravagant plans?” You asked, raising a brow as he gave you an amused glare.
“You try doing this for thousands of years.” He retorted as you pulled a face of ‘fair enough’.
Eventually, he let you rest, both of you sitting down on the metal floor of the station as you leant against the wall. You pursed your lips before clicking your tongue to fill the silence.
“Don’t you stop for two seconds?” He grumbled as you gave him a wide smile. “I’ll take that as a no.”
“Ugh where is she?” You whined. “How big is this place?”
“Too big. Apparently.” He dragged a hand down his face in exasperation as he was beginning to grow tired of his own plan. Was it even worth putting up with you?
“That’s what she said.” You joked to yourself, as he groaned, hitting his head on the wall behind him as you furrowed your brows. “Why are you doing that?”
“It’s distracting me from the pain you’re making me endure.” He said lowly as you rolled your eyes at him. Finally he stopped as you raised a brow.
“Better?” You asked.
“Much.” He sneered, clenching his jaw as he looked ahead. He had to admit, certain traits of yours reminded him of his last regeneration, Missy. You had that sarcasm, playfulness and didn’t seemed to be too scared.
“Okay this is impossible.” You groaned, trying hard to keep up with the Timelord. “She’s obviously got herself in some trouble. Knowing my luck they’re all dead and I’m stranded here.” You commented as he raised a brow at you.
“You’re a cheery one.” He smirked.
“If they’re dead, you’re taking me home.” You told him sternly. “It’s all your fault I didn’t find them in the first place, deciding to jump me like that, I mean, did no one ever teach you any manner-“ Before you could finish, you found yourself pinned against one of the walls, as the Master looked down at you with a tired expression.
“You are one of the most unbearable humans I have ever had the displeasure of knowing.” He sneered. “Oh your pointless ramblings, your empty words, and your god awful annoying personality.” You hissed as you looked unpaused at him. He wasn’t expecting that. It only annoyed him more.
“Sounds to me like you’ve got a crush.” You told him cheekily as he growled in frustration. Nothing phased you did it?
“Do you ever shut up? Do you always have a retort to everything?!” He exclaimed, his eyes searching your own.
“Just about, yeah.” You nodded, as you felt yourself blush being in such close proximity to the alien. You couldn’t help it. He was a bad boy. A very handsome, crazy bad boy. You swear the bad guys always look good on purpose. Before you could register what was happening, the Master had closed the gap between the two of you, crashing his lips to your own. He hated to admit it, but you were annoyingly chaotic. It was an energy he couldn’t help but be drawn to. You raised your brows in surprise as you allowed yourself to sink into the kiss.
As quickly as it had started, it ended. As you looked up at the man in confusion, before planting a smug expression on your face.
“So... The handcuffs, is that what you’re into?” You questioned, as he slowly blinked, calming his breath.
“(Y/N)!”
You both shot your head in the direction of the Doctor’s voice calling your name. You were almost disappointed she had resurfaced. No more action for you. You sighed.
“Now she finds me.” You groaned, as the Master smirked at you, before lifting your wrist up with his own as he placed a code into his handcuff, allowing it to fall off your wrists and to the floor. You looked at him confused. “What are you doing?”
“Leaving.” He told you, stepping back, before beginning to walk away.
“Hold on!” You called after him. “You can’t just leave!”
“Yes I can.” He said smugly. “Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon.” He gave you a small smirk. “Maybe next time I’ll bring the handcuffs again.” He winked, as you felt hot under his gaze. Before you knew it, he was gone, disappearing out of sight as you sighed, deciding it was home time.

Very dead
It seems Chibnall really wanted to make sure the Time Lords are really, really gone this time. And yes, I know how many times I said really but it really was an epic overkill. They were killed by the Master, their corpses Cyberised and then all organic matter was destroyed by death particle. I half suspect that Master’s real plan was to make Doctor complicit in the Time Lords final annihilation and that’s what CyberMasters were all about but still that’s one really dead planet. No Dregs there.
The problem is that it seems like we are supposed to understand why they deserved it just like Cybermen did and I don’t. I mean of course Doctor is anti-genocide so someone always has to do it for her (see the CyberMasters) but the way Master argued that they were evil and deserved it was for us to understand why show did it and I’m not convinced.
I get why this Master - somehow completely missing Missy’s memories and development - would hate the idea of all Time Lords are being derived of Doctor. But I’m not sure what supposed to be so horrible about them incorporating the Regeneration ability into themselves. It seems perfectly reasonable to want to give everyone that ability (but then I also don’t agree with Altered Carbon TV series on killing everyone because rich people are evil so maybe it’s just me).
And Doctor’s memory erasure seemed to have come due to RuthDoctor wanting to leave the Division. Doctor was clearly warned this was going to be the outcome - The Division does not exist, doesn’t have operatives and they weren’t even there. It looks like once you retired you had to forget you ever had the job. And since Brendan story and that scene suggest that Doctor wanted this job and understood the consequences. The current version of course has perfect right to feel betrayed as she didn’t signed up for that and she is now aware of all she’s missing but it doesn’t seem like the Time Lord civilisation did it to be evil to her. It doesn’t seem to be the justification for genocide Master seems to think it is.
I was expecting Doctor would turn out to be the Timeless Child and it does explain the extra regenerations (Time Lords only pretend to give them). This also plays with why Doctor was always so different than other Time Lords. Always smarter, more dangerous, able to stand up to all of them (like in Heaven Sent). And I wasn’t surprise Brendan turned out to be the Doctor either. At least in the false memory representation of her lost lives she got to be a redhead.
However, I’m not sure how River Song fits into all of this. If all ability to regenerate comes from the Doctor how did she get it? And her sacrifice to give all of her to save Eleven - that was a waste of her life too.
But I found it funny how the whole thing with Lone Cyberman, the great menace Jack warned her about, turned out to be just red herring. It only took a moment for Master to dispose of him. The real issue was Master getting his hands on Cyberium.
Also there are 3 last TARDISes standing around various places. I wonder if that’ll come up again.
Was Doctor arrested for destroying Gallifrey?
Also how long was Doctor a child first time and how prone was she to dying? Because that was a lot of regenerations before even getting to the teenage stage. Or was her mother killing her? But she didn’t seem distressed and all the story implied her mother loved her so that part was weird.

Doctor Who: The Doctor Falls (10x12)
I really quite enjoyed this episode. I won't lie, though, I also had a few complaints. I can taste freedom, though. Moffat is almost out of here. Let's dive in.
Cons:
Basically, this is just a continuation of next week, which is perfectly lovely, in that we're wrapping up the only real through-lines of this season's plots. Namely, Missy. The problem is that this episode had a lot of endings, and I'm not sure I'm satisfied with them. Namely, Missy. The Master and Missy kill each other in this episode, which on the one hand is like the perfect way for them to go out, but on the other hand, it still feels like we didn't have enough screen-time with Missy to make her inclusion in this season feel worthwhile. There was so much more to explore. And I get the whole dramatic irony thing, because now we know that Missy was going to go back and stand with the Doctor, but the Doctor doesn't know that... yadda yadda.... I just feel like there was a more satisfying ending that could have come out of this.
And then there's Bill... On the one hand, I love the way her character ended up, going off with another immortal lesbian to explore the universe forever more. I'm all about that shit. But at the same time, my complaints from last week still stand. She did a lot of reacting instead of acting in this episode, and I still feel like we're only just beginning to understand her as a character. I really wanted her to be the carry-over companion for our new Doctor and new show-runner. We didn't get nearly enough time with Bill.
So, the Doctor bravely sacrifices himself in order to give Nardole a chance to help a bunch of children escape from the Cybermen. Bill, in Cyberman form, also stays behind. Essentially, they save the day by blowing up as many Cybermen as they can, thus buying Nardole and the others more time to get away and plan how to escape in the future. I understand the logic, and I'm not saying I know what the better alternative would have been, but at the same time there is just something so fundamentally wrong with the image of the Doctor blowing things up with the Sonic Screwdriver. It's just so wrong to see him exploding things and using violence to win. And I get that the Cybermen are trying to take over, but isn't part of the tragedy of Cybermen that they were once human? And if Bill was able to resist and still be herself in some way, what's to say that the human part of these other Cybermen couldn't come out to play?
The Doctor nearly regenerates at the end of the episode, but then the original Doctor shows up, which is cool and weird, and it looks like we're getting Peter Capaldi for the Christmas Special. I mean, good, yeah, I like that, but I also don't like fake-out regenerations. It lessens the impact of the real thing in some way.
Pros:
Those are some long paragraphs of complaints, but I honestly really loved this finale. Let's just touch on each character really briefly:
Nardole. He may get MVP for this one. He was just so caring and kind and he helped so much to save everybody. The last conversation he had with Bill and the Doctor was actually the most tragic part of the episode for me. He really wants to stay behind and make the Doctor go on, but the Doctor convinces him by basically forcing Nardole to admit that he's stronger than the Doctor. As he leaves, he tells Bill and the Doctor that he'll never be able to find the words. It's so sad to me that as this episode stands, Nardole has no way of knowing that Bill and the Doctor both actually made it out alive... sort of. Is Nardole carrying over to next season? I kind of hope so!
The Master. Evil til the end. I love the fact that he didn't have any sort of redemption arc that would overshadow the character work with Missy. It really wasn't about him. He's just evil. The moment when the Doctor gives his big speech about doing the right thing, and the Master clearly takes none of it in and just keeps walking away... ouch. I flash back to that moment in Series Three where the Doctor is cradling the Master in his arms and begging him to regenerate. The Master will do anything to spite his former friend and current bitter enemy, even if it means his own destruction. That's hardcore.
Missy. I mean, come on. She's incredible. All of the interplay between the Master and Missy was undeniably funny and great, but the moment when she tells the Doctor that she always wanted to stand by his side, but then says "no" and walks away... ouch ouch ouch my heart. And then the fact that she knows she's meant to stand with him, and then the way she laughs when the Master kills her... God. I don't even know how to speak coherently about Missy, to be honest. I loved her in this one.
Bill. She gets to run off with another immortal lesbian. This means that both of Capaldi's companions went off to be Doctor-like space explorers. I'm not entirely sure how to feel about that, and as I mentioned above I do really feel like Bill deserved more time on this show. That being said, her moments with the Doctor in this episode were adorable and tragic. Watching her deal with her new reality as a Cyberman was difficult to say the least, and her decision to stay with the Doctor at the end and die by his side felt like the perfect decision for her to make. I particularly like the fact that the Doctor didn't fight her on it. That's true friendship right there. Also, Bill snarking to the Doctor about how she normally likes women her own age was perfect.
The Doctor. Peter Capaldi has one more episode to get through, but honestly I rather wish he didn't, because he gave the best performance on his whole run in this episode. That speech he gave to Missy and the Master was a thing of beauty. I honestly don't even know what to say about it. The script itself was obviously good, but I also feel like it's the kind of dialogue that could come across so cheesy in the wrong hands. Capaldi knocked it right out of the park. It was glorious. I actually got a little choked up. And then of course his desperation not to be regenerated, his grief over Bill's fate, his missed connection with his dear friend Missy/The Master... there were a lot of intense emotions for the Doctor in this episode, and I think Capaldi did such a good job with all of them.
I'll end by giving a shout-out to some of my favorite small moments. When the Doctor tells the Master to "knock yourself out," Missy obliges by hitting the Master over the head, and then saying "I was secretly on your side all along, you silly sausage." Nardole's line about never being able to find the right words was really touching. Bill's final quip to the Doctor. The Doctor and Missy's final moments. The Master and Missy laughing as they die. Bill and Heather sharing a kiss and going off to explore. Nardole bashfully accepting one of the human woman's crushes. The list goes on.
I'm going to miss Bill, and if this really is the end for Missy and the Master, I'm going to miss them as well. I guess I'm happy that Capaldi isn't quite gone from us, but I'm curious if the Christmas Special will be able to top this! Time will tell...
8.5/10
