If Crocodile gave you a purse dog (or kitty! Or any animal you want really) for being such a good basement wife what would you name them?

I wouldn’t want to name them after names I have for potential future cats (like “Purrrincess Leia” for example) because it’d make me sad thinking about my old life. I’d probably be really cheesy or something and name them “Hope” or after a fictional character that went through so much adversary and had a happy ending (like the One Piece equivalent of “Cinderella”)

That is a valid question, you're totally right 🤔 Having a little pet would be so bittersweet, I never really thought about that. But I have to confess - I am ass at naming animals. I've had a lot of bunnies in my life and all except for the first one had no names. That one had a people name - I love it when pets have people names, it's ridiculous to me. I'd probably name mine something like 'baby' or 'angel', that's just something I always say to animals I interact with. (Because that's what they are... angels...) It wouldn't be their proper name, rather a nickname that sticks, you know? And when referring to them - sticking to the pug for example - it would be something like 'thank you for walking her', 'did she have fun on her walk?'. That little thing's name is baby for all she knows and 'she/her' to others lmao

But I really like your take. Maybe you've always wanted x kind of dog or cat; and now that you have it - and the circumstances are beyond fucked up - it feels utterly wrong and empty... The more I think about being his basement wife (looking at some recent revelations in my life, too), the more I realize that it'd be utterly miserable and that I'd get depressed extremely quickly 😭
