hey whats up so uh. not to be a normie sadstuck story but ive always hc’d his parents as dead. like mostly always been dead. died when he was young etc etc BUT… he lived with his grandma for like, all his growing up. so its not really a Sad Story bc Jesse was so young he just didn’t know his parents to begin with, he fucking loved his grandma and she fucking loved him too.

she was this very very fun and bright figure in his life, she’d very staunchly insist on only speaking spanish within the home so that’s what jesse grew up speaking first, she taught him how to make his favourite foods though he’s still not all that good, he got his love of candles from her, she made his ‘original’ serape for him. She’s still around, still in that same old tiny house as before, and jesse fusses over her constantly and he regrets a lot of what he’d done to her (towards the end of his time living with her he acted out a lot, got in trouble, ran out when he joined deadlock, basically lost contact with her for ages), but he knows its safer if he keeps contact minimum

idk if im making it ~*canon*~ for this acct or if im going to make it so that all contact is cut but ive talked about him visiting her anyways and she still calls him by his birth name and he loves it (but it also means he only ever visits by himself), he towers over her now, and spends his visits taking care of small things around the house and eating WAY too much food, and he just wants to make sure to visit when he can even though that’s excessively rare.
