when thinking about careers for the kids, including mabel, i try to think about what their goals seem to be in canon vs their talents

for pacifica, her goal is clearing up her family name and her talents are... quite a few for her age. she's charismatic, she has an eye for fashion, she's great at golf though i severely doubt she'd be interested in that as a career, and she probably has a decent amount of knowledge on legality and things in that vein considering who her parents are and what they deal in

she could be an actress, a lawyer, a fashion designer, a model... lotta options there JFDDS

for dipper, his goal is... well he doesn't quite have one tbh. neither him nor mabel lol

we know what he likes! he really loves mysteries, he likes singing (as shy as he is about it) and has a decent voice imo, he's pretty charismatic as well when he feels comfortable and confident in himself, and he's a very analytical guy

but none of those things are a goal per say, and they could all branch off into multiple career paths: archaeologist, adventurer, scientist, novelist, detective...

different circumstances could also change his career path very easily because of his not very solid goal - provided he has enough motive, he could absolutely pull a stan and exploit the supernatural for monetary gain, if something happens to his family or pacifica that would require an easy way to make a lot of money

there's a LOT of ways to decide for dipper and they're all centered around what kind of story one would like to tell lmao

anyway, onto pacifica's options!!

careers for her would depend on how she wants to approach clearing up her family name i'd say?

if she were to decide to become a well-accomplished person so that her family name would be cleared because of how great and well-known she was, she could pursue acting tbh?

there's a lot of things she could do but idk i feel like she could be a great actress if she wanted to be

that or a politician, but i don't think she's interested in the mess that would bring lol, that's more within her father's line of interests

the nice thing about her being an actress is her bringing dipper to all the galas and premieres and stuff and him not knowing how exactly to act in that situation (of course, assuming he didn't pick a career that has him deal with large crowds of people daily - he'd already be used to it in that scenario)

now, if pacifica were to decide that the best way to clear up her family name would be to take all legal matters into her own hands and go about that very literally, she'd absolutely become a lawyer or something in that vein

this could lead to a lot of sleepless nights especially while she's studying to be a lawyer, so - many fluff and flangst options there ;)

aaand that's all I have on Pacifica rn - it's 5 am so my brain's a lil mush

so this is me, rating the freaking seasons of lego ninjago. here we go

Masters of Spinjitzu: 7/10

Good set up. It's short and easy to watch. Also, nostalgia. Not my favorite, but good.

Rise of the Serpentine: 8/10

a good start to the series. it has its bad points like every season does but, yknow. I enjoy the building found family dynamic but you cannot tell me that that one cole-centric episode was not queer-coded as fuck. Because it was and I am not taking criticism. overall good!

Legacy of the Green Ninia: 7.5/10

This would have been a good end to the show imo. I'm glad it wasn't, but I can't really say I'm a fan of Lloyd getting aged up. He deserved a proper childhood dammit! The ending was good, solid banger. Also, Garmadad. Yes.

Rebooted: 5.5/10

I'm taking off points because it was eight episodes. Also, Zane and PIXAL's romance subplot? Literally took like, three episodes. Not even an hour, man. Not terrible, ending-wise But stop giving Lloyd and Zane trauma, damn you!

Tournament of Elements: 2/10

HOW. HOW DID YOU FUCK UP THIS BADLY. I loathe this season, solely because its supposed to be Kai-centric, AND IT DOES HIM THE FUCKING W O R S T POSSIBLE WAY. Also, the Kai and Skylor romance subplot sucks. And you're gonna tell me we DON'T address what happens when Kai holds the staff?! Bullshit.

Possession: 9/10

I adore this season with every fiber of my being. The Kai and Lloyd dynamic? Banger. Morro as the villain? Banger. The ending? Banger. By far, one of the better seasons.

Skybound: 6/10

Weehhhhhhhh, not my favorite. Nadakhan is a good villain and genuinely intimidating, and there are moments where you do genuinely fear for the ninjas safety. Hate the ending. How do you just erase everything like that?! I could also just say: "THIS NEVER EVEN H A P P E N E D." and my point would still be made.

Day of the Departed: 8/10

Thoroughly enjoyed this! Love the Cole-centric stuff. Pretty good special. Also, Morro! I love him your honor.

Hands of Time: 7/10

Not bad. Acronix and Krux are good villains. Not my favorite, but good. How many secrets is Wu gonna keep from the ninja? WHO KNOWS ANYMORE!

Sons of Garmadon: 7.5/10

Mediocre at worst. Harumi is definitely not a villain I saw coming until it was too late. She's also very hateable! Good written villain. But, the plots a little shakey.

Hunted: 8.5/10

HOLY SHIT GIVE LLOYD A BREAK MAN. My boy has been through so much and now he's on the run. Oh God. Oh can somebody please give him a break!! in all seriousness, I enjoy this one more than the previous. Its just better for some reason idk! Maybe its the dragons.

March of the Oni: 7/10

Why was this so short????? Wtf???? Bro, no. Solid, but short as hell.

Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu Scrolls: The Fire Chapter: 4.5/10

Character writing is shaky. Plot holds steady BUT NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF WU HAD JUST SAID SOMETHING.

The Ice Chapter: 7/10

Character writing is significantly better here. Plot still holds steady. Could be better, but at least it's not the Fire chapter.

Prime Empire: 7.5/10

Not the greatest in terms of plot writing. However, Unagami is a good villain. Redeemable. I like it. Good season. Not great, but good.

Master of the Mountain: 10/10

I'm biased, yeah. But can you blame me? Its just a really good season! And honestly, Cole-centric AND vague dnd-themes? You've won my heart. Also, Vania is a very well-written character. She's also not a love interest to Cole either!! I'm in love.

The Island: 8/10

A good special. Better if you watch it as the 40 min special. It's good set-up for Seabound. Its still not the greatest in terms of plot, though.

Seabound: 9/10

I cried. I will admit it, I cried during this season. It's such a good season, and the last episode just had me bawling. For this being pretty much the sole Nya-centric season, I hate that it just had her become the ocean at the end. I saw it coming- still cried. Also, if I had a nickle for every season of Ninjago that started with S and ended with -bound and killed off Nya in some way, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but its weird that its happened twice right?

Hinoka+Asama - Japanese support

Part one of a request. This was very fun to do and also a surprisingly good support. It’s quite different from the English one, like how it alludes to Hinoka’s trauma over losing Corrin. Also the S-support is a lot better (it actually feels like she has feelings for him), even if it’s still a bit  awkward. All in all a solid support chain and pairing imo.

C-support

Asama: Good morning, Lady Hinoka.

Hinoka: Ah, Asama. Morning.

Asama: I see your bedhead is a hopeless as ever today. It almost looks like an insect.

Hinoka: W-what!? Th- that's.. ugh. I thought I had fixed it already.

Asama: And not just that, your clothes have some awful wrinkles in them. Looks like you didn't fold them properly. As a princess, aren't you supposed to be able to dress well?

Hinoka: Uhhh.. you are right, but you need to shut up for a bit!

Asama: Oh, I remember how just a few days ago, you ended up dropping all your belongings and scattering them across the tent during a war council. Ahaha just thinking about it makes me smile. Now wasn't that just funny?

Hinoka: That was.. I was only reaching inside my bag and ended up spilling my stuff by mistake! Do you really have to keep nagging and teasing me about such a trivial blunder? … I never thought you would turn out to be such a jerk when I first met you.

Asama: Ah.. that was when you ended up crashing in the mountains while out training with your pegasus, right?  You were such a pitiful sight. I felt so sorry for you that I just had to help you out.

Hinoka: Pitiful sight..? At that time, you refused to be given a reward and left without even giving me your name, so I ended up mistaking you for a wise and noble monk. Still.. to think employing you would cause me such a headache..

Asama: How very rude of you. Didn't you turn over every leaf trying to track me down, only so you could force me into servitude? You were so overbearing, it was like being faced with a tyrant.

Hinoka: I wasn't being overbearing! Anyway, if I had known your true character, I would have never made you my retainer. But then again, your first comment after I offered to employ you was: “You are high-born? When I first saw you crashing with your pegasus, you looked like a tomboyish peasant girl to me.” I still haven't forgotten that by the way!

Asama: Ahaha, so that's what happened? It seems you are much more persistent about your nagging than I am, Lady Hinoka. How unpleasant. It makes me long for the women of the past...

Hinoka: Enough... I already know where this leads.

B-support

Hinoka: …..

Asama: My, my, you seem quite depressed.

Hinoka: Asama... It's not like I can help it. Not after seeing so many recruits lose their lives during the last battle. There is no way even someone as indifferent as you can just shrug that off.

Asama: Is that so? I can't say I really care.

Hinoka: Yeah, I should have known. Do you even have a heart?

Asama: Now now, please do not compare me to a demon or devil. I am but a simple monk in service to the gods.

Hinoka: Then how can you be so relaxed about this?

Asama: Just consider for a moment. Everyone dies someday. That much is certain without a doubt. Sooner or later, death always comes to us in the end. So there is no need to be concerned about people dying.

Hinoka: Then why did you save me from dying back then?

Asama: That was... because of the expression you made. You looked so utterly furious then, clinging to life with all your strength. I found it quite charming.

Hinoka: What..?

Asama: Letting you live might prove entertaining, I thought. I was quite interested in seeing what you would do with your future.

Hinoka: So the people who died yesterday just weren't stubborn enough for you?

Asama: Yes, they didn't make the same impression as you. That's all there is to it.

Hinoka: Although I am indebted to you for saving my life... I don't get you! This entire conversation has stopped making any sense. Just... your only reason for saving me and agreeing to become my retainer, was to see what I would do with my life?

Asama: Yes, that's right. Thanks to you, my lady, I find my days to be endlessly entertaining. I am truly glad I became your retainer.

Hinoka: I see.. Although you could really stand to be more polite, I can't help but get absorbed in what you are saying. Sorry for always yelling at you, Asama.

Asama: No no, it makes for an excellent way to pass the time. Thank you very much.

Asama: Are you perhaps talking about the soldier that was injured during the last battle?

Hinoka: Yeah, he's in critical condition... But I want to save him at all cost! This time.. for sure! The priestesses are still trying to heal his wounds right now. Asama, you will go and help out too!  

Asama: That would be a foolish act, Lady Hinoka.

Hinoka: … What are you saying?

Asama: He isn't long for this world. We should only let him die with dignity.

Hinoka: What!? You are ready to give up on him even though he's still alive!?

Asama: Yes, for his sake, for everyone's sake, and for your sake as well.

Hinoka: That's bullshit!!

Asama: It's just like I told you before. People will inevitably die..

Hinoka: AARGH!! This isn't the time for your damned philosophy!! Go and fetch your festal already!! You'll go in there and save him!!

Asama: Are you ordering me.. as my liege?

Hinoka: Yes, that's right!

Asama: I see... If it's a direct order from Lady Hinoka.. there is no way I can refuse.

Asama: Hah.. My my, that was exhausting. And yet he still couldn't be saved in the end. Did I not tell you so?

Hinoka: …......

Asama: He lingered on for quite a while, then died in terrible agony. And the other healers also exhausted themselves entirely in their efforts to save him. That's the result.

Hinoka: ...Stop it. Please stop making me blame myself even more.

Asama: If you are truly so pained by it, you should have stopped me sooner. You have a gentle nature, but it may well destroy you one day.

Hinoka: Asama....

Asama: My my, I am surprised at my own words. To think I could say something like that to you. But that's right.. Protecting your tender heart may be the reason I am committed to staying at your side and serving you.    

Hinoka: Asama.. I can now see how much you care for me. Sorry.. I'll make sure to listen to you more in the future. So please, continue to support me from here on.

Asama: Yes, of course. Since your way of living is so much more interesting than anyone else's, I shall always remain faithful to you, Lady Hinoka.
