Holidays
Pairings: Survey Corps - their fave holidays
Word Count: 871
Warnings: none
A/N: I considered Japanese holidays for this bit but then laziness got the best of me. Like most pieces I create with these characters a lot of how I envision them will relate to western/modern culture in some way or another. Though they probably won't celebrate half of the holidays I'm about to list, I want to reiterate that this is my idea of the traits these characters possess and also they are not real.
Headcannons Masterlist
Eren  - Christmas
Eren is big on family, especially the family he’s made with Armin and Mikasa. It’s clear that he stands ten toes down behind them and when he gets his own family, it’ll be much the same. I actually think having kids will bring out the fluff in Eren and he’ll be that obnoxious holiday parent that's doing the most with decorations and presents. But it's honestly the atmosphere that gets him going. The holiday cheer, the kindness, the emphasis on giving - he loves it all.
Levi - New Years
The new year signals a new beginning but also the close to another chapter. Each time Levi makes it to a new year he’s thankful but mostly shocked. From life underground to humanity's biggest threat, he never knows when disaster might strike. But, when the clock strikes 12 it's a moment of relief, one where he can sit back and relish in the thought that he’s made it to another trip around the sun.
Erwin - Fathers Day
Lmaoo I'm not tryna make Erwin sound egotistical at all, but I was also running out of popular holidays. The day the Scouts headed to their mission to plug wall Maria was the first time we saw them get a standing ovation and it was also the first time we saw Erwin express such vocal excitement. Even though he can come off a bit aloof, I thought it was fun to see him in that way. That being said I think he’d enjoy being celebrated and can even play up the wowwwws at the macaroni necklaces and handprint construction papers lol. He would love and take care of his family obvi but it’d also make him feel good to feel that admiration in return.
Connie - Thanksgiving
You feed this man and he’ll love you forever. It’s his favorite holiday because it has back to back benefits. There's tons of food, a four day weekend off from work, and the opportunity to spend time with his family. He’s the type to pitch in money but over the years Connie has been more inclined to learn how to cook and has even started bringing in a dish. He’s most excited to try a Friendsgiving as he considers them family as well.
Jean - Valentines Day
I firmly believe that Jean is a romantic. I don't think he’d be the most creative at gift giving lol but it’s certainly the thought that counts. On valentines day he goes all out - teddy bears, flowers, chocolates, etc. ya know, the usual. Although his gifts are very on the nose and sometimes he needs to be spoon fed the information, what he lacks in creativity, he'll gain in experience; learning to step his game up as the years go by. Again, sweet guy.
Onyankopon - Easter
He more so likes the spring break aspect of it. With the flowers blooming and the sun making regular appearances, it was usually the first sign to what summer would be like. Ony enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. So although spring break was meant to party, which he did, Ony always made the time to immerse himself in the customs of whichever country he visited. Now as an adult, he still indulged in his version of spring break as he always enjoyed the mini relaxation that it brought about; thinking of it as his summer outside of summer.
Reiner - Independence Day
Reiner is over the whole patriotic thing, however he can't help but enjoy the events that take place because of it. There’s literally a bbq happening on every corner so he’s for sure house hopping for a plate. There's all sorts of sales and Gabi is making him put that wallet to USE hunnie. And while he doesn’t mind, he more so enjoys their time spent together. There's also the beautiful fireworks that light up the evening sky. And at the end of the day he gets to spend his remaining time with family, gathered around over good food and even better vibes.
Armin - Mothers Day
Armin is def the type to dote on his wife. Hard day at work? He’s rubbing the stress out of your shoulders. Hungry? He’s cooking and prepping lunch for the week. Overwhelmed at work? He’s booking you a spa day. Armin literally adores his woman and enjoys any chance he has to celebrate her and Mothers Day is no exception. Expect him and the kiddies to hand make you some arts and crafts, cook you breakfast, and plan the holiday around your desired interests; with him making sure, at the end of the day, to show you why you celebrate the holiday in the first place.
Floch - Halloween
He’s big on the spooky vibe but not to a concerning extent. Like many others he just enjoys the activities surrounding it. This is actually where Floch flourishes in creativity and fun. He’s making spooky themed treats, decorating to upstage the next door neighbor, and enjoying all the movie classics. Let's not even get started on the lengths he’ll go through to make the most life-like costumes and the parties where he shows it all off?? Top mf notch! Bonus points for getting some action at said parties.

nsfw text under the cut
just had my smear test and yes it was distinctly unpleasant but on the other hand it's actually jokes how much having a stranger poke around in your vagina completely nonsexually can fix all your hangups about sex. like wowwww this person knows i have sexual organs that i could theoretically use for sex and didn't shoo me out of the gp surgery calling me a freakish little harlot... somebody saw my pussy and nobody died and nobody on the street was looking at me like wowww i bet she just had a speculum up in there like a whore. switch flipped so dramatically that when the nurse was like oh there's a paper towel to cover yourself i was like well what's the point in that you're actively rip to all the soldiers that died in the service i dive in her cervix rn what is putting a bit of tissue over the top gonna do 😭 might even finally overcome my fear of getting a bikini wax as a result of this experience who would have thought!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
Tumblr media
Series- Can’t Help Falling in Love with You
Relationship:Tom Holland x Reader
Summary: It’s Tom’s birthday and Jaxon gives his gift to Tom followed by the Reader giving him a a surprising gift.
Warnings: Swearing cause I love swearing IRL. Plus Tom swears too :,) Funny fluffiness, Dad Tom, SO much cuteness.
Word Count: 1,000+
A/N: Made the photo edit myself :,)
[Reader’s POV]
“momma where’s daddy?” your four year old son Jaxon whispers.
“he’s reading in the living room honey” I whisper back leaning down kissing his mop of curls on his head. He’s starting to look like Tom more and more each day. Your heart aching at wanting to have another child. You loved every moment seeing him grow up and being a stay at home mom even if you were sick.
“I wanna give him his gift”Jax whispers looking around holding the bag to his chest. He had red, white and blue tissue paper sticking out. Of course you were the one to help him stick the tissue paper in.
“Careful my little star, you’ll squish your gift” I rub his cheek holding the cake pan with one hand. The tea kettle whistling grabbing my attention. I head over to get Tom’s tea ready. The four of you were spending the morning together. Tessa was sitting in the kitchen waiting for food to drop. She always did that cause at some point I always dropped something. FIlling up Tom and I’s tea cups I set the kettle aside.
“Jax! where are you lil man?” Tom’s voice comes from the living room.  He must have been taking a break from his script. Even on his birthday he got caught up with a script.
“Hold on daddy!” his little body scurries past you out of the kitchen almost making me  spill the tea.
“Shit” I gasp as hot tea hits my thumb.Thankfully it was your cup that spilt a bit and not his.
“Daddy I have a present for you” Jax says holding up his gift to Tom from the doorway. Tom looks up from the script setting it aside.
“Here’s your tea love” I whisper kissing his cheek as I set his tea next to him on the table.
“Thank you darling, I was just about to ask for tea” He smiles pulling you back to kiss your lips. Pecking his lips one more time before pulling away.
“Jax worked very hard for your gift babe” I explain as Jaxon walks forward with Tom’s gift. Sitting across from Tom in your chair. Pulling out your phone you open up instagram to start a live stream. Thankfully it started working just in time.
“C’mon lad let’s see it” Tom grins as Jaxon hands him the gift. Tom pulls out the card setting it on his thigh.
“Daddy do you like the colors?” Jax asks looking up at Tom.
“Only the best colors ever am I right?! Such a great job on the tissue paper” He grins sending a wink your way.
“Daddy,I saved up all my pennies.. I helped mumma with washing Tessa, picked up my toys so you or mumma wouldn’t trip on them an-and my legos so you wouldn’t say swear words anymore so I could get your gift..” Jax smiles sitting down next to Tessa.
“Is that why the swear jar is missing darling?” Tom asks in disbelief looking between your son and the camera.
“Tom he swore in front of me when he dropped his Spider-Man toy down the stairs!” you defend yourself laughing at his reaction.
“Shit” Tom muttered.
“Thomas!”I glare at him from behind the screen. His eyes looking like a kid in fear. You used your mom voice on him. It always worked on him and Jax. Looking at your screen it was blowing up from comments.
“He said shit mumma!” Jax pointed at his father giggling.
“Jaxon Zander Holland” I groan smacking my head with my hand. These two would be the death of me.
“Swear jar, both of you after Daddy opens his birthday gift” your voice stern as Tom groans. He runs his fingers through his hair causing his biceps to move. My attention being slipped away because of that. Hearing a laugh I look back to Tom as he sends me a wink. Opening the card he starts to attempt reading it out loud.
“I know my handwriting isn’t as good as yours daddy so mumma typed a translation for you..” his head drops in embarrassment.
“Your handwriting is better than mine was your age, don’t worry your handwriting will be better in time..” he reaches tilting his chin up.
“Daddy, I love you soooooo much just as much as I love Tessa, maybe a little more. You’re Spider-Man but being my dad you’re my number one hero..” Tom’s voice wavers at the end. He has a smile with tears in his eyes.
“Thank you Jax for the lovely message.. Now let’s see what your hard work payed off to.” He wipes the tear away as he opens his gift pulling out the tissue paper.
“Open it up daddy!” Jaxon says excitedly jumping up and down.
“Wowwww look at this! Darling look what he got me” Tom smiles pulling out a Spiderman glove. Attached to it was a silly string can.
“I saw the video of Aunt Zaya spraying you it was funny cause you swore like you do when you step on my legos! I s-saw that glove when I-I went to the store with Aunt Zaya.. now we can play together!” Jaxon goes to his backpack pulling out his own glove.
“Man this is the best , let’s test it out shall we?” His grin grows as he looks over at you. Watching as his hand slips into the glove with ease. Taking the cap off he raises his arm towards you flicking his wrist.
“Tom, you wou-” String hitting you makes you flinch.
“Thomas!!” A laugh escaping my lips as I fumble with my phone. You quickly save the video before setting your phone down.
“Don’t worry I’ll protect you mumma!” Jax jumps in front of you shooting his string.
“Oh my herooo” I place my hand on my heart as Tom gets sprayed with string. Tom gets up heading towards us as Jax takes a Spidey like stance.
“Trying to take my lady away are you lad??” Tom gets up picking him up and onto his shoulder as Jax tries spraying him. Laughter fills your home as Jaxon gets tickled.
“I will get you!” Jax wiggles in his grasp, legs flailing trying to get free.
“Easy there killer, how bout I let you decorate Daddy’s cake? I put all the stuff you need on the table” Picking him up off of his shoulder and setting him down.  He takes off towards the table near the kitchen. Pulling out the chair he climbs on top of it grabbing things in his hand.
“Now that I have your attention, I have a gift well gifts for you actually” You explain kissing from his jaw to his lips. His arms pulling you close to his body, warmth engulfing you.
“Well well well, do I get some mind blowing sex tonight?” he cheekily grins reaching down grabbing my ass. You let out a laugh as you pull back. Walking over you pick up your bag that you set aside earlier.
“Thattttt but, here this is your gift”
Watching him open it finding the letter inside. His face looks confused as he opens the paper. Eyes moving as he reads the letter, eyes getting big after more reading. Our eyes meet as a cheshire cat grin prominent on his face.
“You’re serious darling? This isn’t some sick joke right?” tears fill his eyes as he places his hands on your cheeks.
“I’m very serious Tom” you let out a little laugh as he places his forehead against yours. Tears slipping down your cheeks. This moment was perfect.
A/N: Stay tuned :,)

Day 1555555- Time Travel☸️ *Warning, this is a long post, as it was a very long day. But it is my last post, so enjoy!
Wowwww. I know time travel technically doesn’t exist but boy do I feel like Verb Ballets has accomplished it today. 28 hours ago, on Monday morning, we left our hotel in Taipei, and now we’re all finally home on a Monday evening! My body is so confused right now but hey, we made it! Most of us tried to stay up really late on our last night in Taipei to help us sleep on the plane the next day and flip our 12 hour time difference. I only slept for 2 hours so I think I was pretty successful–I’ve been tired all day! I got up at 5:45am, threw on my comfy flying clothes and set out for one last morning walk around the hotel. I grabbed coffee from 7/11 and sipped it while walking around Peace Park. I’m going to miss that enchanting place. The group met at 6:45am to say goodbye to Ming and Ping (they woke up so early to bid us farewell–so thoughtful!) and taxi to the airport. On our way out, we enjoyed the beautifully gloomy vistas of the industrially advanced city and surrounding picturesque mountains. Taipei sure does know how to look pretty. At the luggage checkpoint, I confirmed that the reason I had so much difficulty cramming everything into my suitcases was because I literally had too much stuff. My bag was several kilograms over the maximum, which meant that Michael and Kelly were each the lucky foster parents of a bag of Kate souvenirs. AKA their suitcases got even heavier thanks to me😬 Have I mentioned that I love both Michael and Kelly?  Thanks guys for saving me and all of my stuff! We made it through security mostly successfully (Kelly had to get her play sand she bought as a gift tested for illegal substances😧) and then we all went our separate ways to wait out the few hours before the flight took off. Unlike US airports, which are essentially expensive shopping malls, the strong sense of cultural pride is evident in Taiwanese airports, which I found out have mini history and art exhibitions in addition to shops and restaurants. I actually learned quite a bit about the various aboriginal groups in Taiwan while waiting for the plane. What a great use of airport waiting time! Another great use of waiting in an airpot time? Food! I went out in search of something savory and vegetarian for under $200 NTD (because that’s all I had left!) and had some trouble. Adorable pastries were everywhere, but I needed something of substance. The only option I could find was lasagna, so I decided to have my first ever breakfast lasagna. Unlike in the states, there was no to-go option (even though it was from a kiosk style cafe) so I had to wait 10 minutes. I had time to kill, so Lieneke and I sat down and chatted about growing up and learning more about yourself traveling and other philosophical things. It was quite the fulfilling pre-lasagna discussion🙃 The food came in a very hot casserole dish, so I let it cool down a bit. I was joking with Lieneke that it was my first meal in Taiwan served with a fork, and that it would have been difficult to eat lasagna with chopsticks. I had only finished about 2 bites when Lieneke said “Oh my gosh! They texted us to hurry back. They must have started boarding early!!” I didn’t want to leave my beautiful breakfast lasagna that I had spent my last NTDs on and waited a whole 10 minutes for, but I didn’t want to miss my flight back to America! I told Lieneke to run ahead and that I would be right there. I ran over to the lady at the kiosk and if she had a paper plate. She said she didn’t because they didn’t have a to-go option (us Americans and our obsession with eating food on the go). Losing hope, I started looking around but didn’t see any other cafes that had to-go options either. Then I saw paper cups behind the counter. “Could I use a cup?” I asked. The lady looked at me like I was seriously crazy as I scraped the lasagna from the casserole dish into the paper cup, repeatedly burning myself in the process. Then I took off running. Right as I was about to get to the gate, I saw Lieneke running towards me. For a split second I thought she was going to say that the plane left, but then I saw her smile. “Everyone is still there, they just told us to hurry back so that the group could move to a sitting area closer to the gate,” she said. We both broke down laughing with the ridiculousness of the situation–having lasagna for breakfast in Taiwan then Olympic sprinting through the airport with it sloppily shoved in a cup. The best part? I ended up having to eat the cup lasagna with chopsticks because I couldn’t find a plastic fork. That had to be one of the funniest breakfasts of my life! Also one of the most accomplished…I finished the whole veggie lasagna with chopsticks! Then came the longggg flight. Ugh. Verb Ballets had survived Taiwan successfully, but as soon as the plan crossed to international waters fecal matter started hitting the fan quickly (if ya know what I’m sayin’). Poor Stephaen spent the majority of the flight throwing up into shoddily designed puke bags that often did not do their job holding puke. So we all donated our blankets to the cause of containing said puke. That poor guy felt terrible the whole trip. Christina also had to deal with a minor cross-contamination flair-up with her egg allergy. Though it was a “minor” reaction (someone must have touched an egg then touched her food, so she didn’t actually eat egg) she was still doubled over in discomfort for the majority of our travels. The flight didn’t have working outlets or internet again, customs didn’t open for a half hour until after we landed, and the aircraft only had one working door to deplane, so we got to sit in our seats for a longgg time after landing from our delightful flight feeling especially wonderful😖 When we finally got off, we had to cross back through a passport checkpoint, customs, baggage claim, and security again before getting to our next gate en route to Denver. Needless to say, our suffering company members really had to dig deep to stand in the endless lines with all of their luggage. Lieneke was trying to be helpful and carry some of Stephaen’s things, but then she also felt dizzy and had to lie down. For those of you who know Lieneke, this lady has amazon strength so if she’s lying down you know she’s really not doing well. However, we all eventually got to the gate and had several hours to recuperate before our next flight. Unfortunately, Nathanael then realized that someone had gotten ahold of his credit card information while we were overseas, so he had to deal with all of that fun stuff during the layover. Wooo man! Verb Ballets was on a serious struggle bus! I felt slightly guilty that I wasn’t dealing with severe physical discomfort or financial distress, so I did my best to help those who were suffering however I could. Once everyone was relatively stable in a recovery position balled up or lying down, I decided to take an airport walk to relieve my swollen tight muscles. During my stroll, I discovered that the San Francisco airport has a yoga room free for all to use! I felt much better after stretching and rolling out in the yoga room. Every airport should jump on that yoga room bandwagon. Our next 2 flights went more smoothly. We had a fairly quick turnaround from Denver to Cleveland, and luckily no new problems arose. I slept through most of those flights, which will probably complicate my jet lag recovery later, but I was happy to sleep. I was exhausted! By a minor miracle, we all made it back to Cleveland conscious and upright (in a precarious mental state, but that’s beside the point😜) with all of our luggage. If it weren’t for some serious teamwork and a lot of nice flight attendants, we might have never made it back to the beloved “Mistake on the Lake” that we call home. Delirious but happy, we bused back to Verb so we could drive back to our respective apartments. I blasted out of the parking lot in hopes of making it to Whole Foods before they closed at 10. I had been craving a big crunchy salad with cottage cheese for weeks! And my apartment was foodless! Some very kind employees took pity on me and let me scurry to the salad bar at 10:01. Thank you so much Whole Foods on Cedar! You made a happy ending to a very very very long day (a 29+ hour day to be precise!). My big suitcase filled with dirty laundry was so heavy I could’t even get it up the stairs, so I decided to throw a bunch of laundry in the washer before even making it up to my apartment (my machines are in the basement). I can’t explain how excited I am to have clean laundry! I currently have a washed face, an empty bladder, and I am enjoying a crunchy Whole Foods salad. Life is great🤗. You really notice the little things after traveling for hours on end. It was a challenging day, but I’ll take that in exchange for a truly amazing tour. Thanks to everyone who followed me along on Verb’s travels! We all feel deeply humbled to have had this experience, and want to thank everyone who made it possible. Cleveland Foundation–You rock (even more than the Rock Hall…shhh!). None of this would have been possible without you. All donors who contributed–thank you thank you thank you! BodyEDT–well you know we are obsessed with you and absolutely can’t wait to have you come to our neck of the globe starting next week. Your company’s futuristic vision and generous heart inspired us the whole trip. I am so looking forward to performing with you again in a few short weeks at Cleveland Public Theater! On that note, the travel blog ends here. Time for me to return to real life of dancing all day and teaching all night! If you have enjoyed learning more about Verb and Body EDT, I recommend that you follow our Facebook pages to keep tabs on our future adventures. -Verb’s FB page is: https://www.facebook.com/verbballets/?ref=br_rs -And BodyEDT’s FB page is: https://www.facebook.com/BodyEDT/ If you ever have to the chance to go to Taipei, definitely do it!
