How OmMuse Revolutionizes Music Storage and Workflow with Cutting-Edge Technology
Are you tired of juggling multiple platforms for your music needs? Do you wish there was a simpler way to store, produce, and distribute your music? If so, you might want to check out OmMuse, the ultimate music platform for artists. OmMuse is more than just a storage platform; it is a creative and collaborative hub that offers everything you need to make your music shine. Whether you want to organize your music catalog, network with other artists, master your tracks with AI, or even create music with AI, OmMuse has it all. Read on to find out about our discussion with Chris Gertz-Rombach, OmMuse’s CMO about how OmMuse can transform your music journey.

Jzon Azari: How does OmMuse differ from other music platforms in terms of music catalog storage and organization?
Chris Gertz-Rombach: There are several advantages to using OmMuse that other platforms don't offer in terms of music catalog storage and organization, including:
Storing up to 5GB of music and music-related files for free - other "competitors" like Dropbox or Session Studio only offer up to 2GB, less than half as much.
In addition to music storage and organization, our entire platform is actually designed as an ecosystem for collaboration and discovery; once your files are uploaded, there are a host of other tools that help users with their creative process from inception to production and distribution.
We have unique discovery areas within the platform ripe for powerful collaborations, primarily by showcasing artists on the "Explore" and "Artist" pages with search and filter options as well as ways to easily browse tracks and artist profiles (that also allow you to send encrypted messages directly to each user).
Additionally, over the past couple of years we've internally built out a proprietary smart contract process that allows easy royalty structure splits for each music project within OmMuse. Once the project gets sold, all the money proportionally goes directly into the user's dashboard which they can then withdraw immediately.
What are the benefits of using OmMuse's machine-learning model to manage your music files?
In addition to storing and organizing files however you want, your data will be stored safely within our cloud. Our tech extracts the metadata from tracks to make it easy to organize. We also have tools like automatic BPM and genre detection to seamlessly organize large catalogs of music when needed, even from multiple artists in one batch.
The platform is designed for both pre and post-distribution, meaning artists can privately organize their stem files and DAW tracks with other artists/writers/producers pre-release OR, if they're ready, publish their existing works to the world by toggling their tracks to "public" which pushes them to our Artist and Explore discovery pages as well as the larger OmMuse network publicly.
How does OmMuse facilitate collaboration and networking among musicians and producers? What are some of the success stories or testimonials from users who have used OmMuse to connect and create with others?
OmMuse offers seamless ways for musicians and producers to intently search for the types of collaborators they want to work with - via name, keywords, genre etc or simply browse through their pages and music to see who would make the most sense to potentially pair with.
Our tools are specifically designed in a way that allows artists to add collaborators to their tracks and communicate via the platform to work together, including sharing other music-related files connected to their music project like lyric sheets, stems, DAW files, word documents, etc.
Lastly, we have a heavy community focus within our user base where we have groups like our Facebook group that offer a host of ways for artists to connect via similar interests or threads that highlight specific opportunities to match relevant collaborators. Our team is also constantly speaking to users and setting up sessions with other artists directly that would be a good fit based on personal conversations - whether it be through Zoom, messaging, or email threads.
The advantage of being a startup allows us the ability to offer these more community-oriented and intentional experiences.
One very recent success story is producer Michael Alvarado (from Us The Duo) partnering with an up-and-coming hip hop artist named Cullen Bonham on OmMuse and creating a new track together called "Green Light" - they had not met before and used tools within the platform to create and project manage a brand new (fire) song together. You can find the song on OmMuse or check out the sizzle video on our YouTube channel with the demo song in the background. It's honestly a great track and they're looking to build on it by bringing in a third collaborator to mass-release it soon.

How does OmMuse leverage Dolby.io's AI technology to offer professional-grade music mastering within the platform? What are the advantages of using OmMuse's presets and sonic adjustments to enhance your music tracks?
This is actually one of my absolute favorite parts of the platform. We worked directly with the Dolby.io engineering team to implement their tech in our backend and make it available to our users within the app so they get the premium Dolby experience without having to jump through any unnecessary hoops.
Typically, professional musicians need to pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars for a professionally mastered track from a mastering engineer, but with Dolby.io's AI tech on OmMuse, you can pre-select up to 14 presets and compare mastered tracks for free (up to 30 seconds per track) before purchasing the mastered track for a few bucks ($7.99 if you're on our OmMuse Major paid tier or only $4.99 if you're in our OmMuse Studio premium paid tier).
You can also adjust the sound level automatically based on what DSP you're pushing to (also a pre-set).
The entire process typically takes less than five minutes to go through.
How does OmMuse enable musicians and producers to sell their music through smart contracts and NFTs? How does OmMuse handle the minting, gas, and processing fees for its users?
It's super easy - simply upload your music file, connect your wallet (we make it seamless with MetaMask), type in the description of your project, desired price, add any collaborators that you want to assign royalty splits to and the percentage, then Mint.
OmMuse currently takes a 5% royalty fee (as of today - subject to change) and minting is heavily discounted if you are on our OmMuse paid tiers ($14.99 per track on OmMuse Major or $9.99 per track on OmMuse Studio).
How do you see OmMuse evolving and expanding in the next few years? What are some of the challenges or opportunities that you face in the music industry?
We currently leverage some AI in the organizational tools for our users but there will be a much heavier focus on using AI machine learning for music creation in the next few years as we grow and as the music industry continually adapts to the latest tech. However, we're taking a very strategic and calculated approach to this as there's still a lot of legal waters to navigate in terms of copyright for artists and we want to make sure that whatever we put out is fully compliant and in the best interest of each and every one of our users. I would say that will be both the biggest opportunity and challenge in this space moving forward. For more details visit OmMuse.com.
