Where they get married

In Mandeliu, France at the Château de la Napoule

When they get married ( ie what time of day, what month and season etc. )

It’d definitely be a summer wedding, likely the start of July

What traditions they include ( do they get married under a chuppah and crush a glass, garter toss, ‘something borrowed, something blue,’ etc. )

I feel like they would maybe do some traditional things like something old, new, borrowed, and blue and maybe do the bouquet toss and first dance but they don’t do every traditional idea

What their wedding cake looks like

OMG CUTENESS ALERT

So maybe Selene learns how to use her artist skills but with icing! So they get a cake and she is the one who paints a design on it! It’s meant to be a surprise for Will, so he’ll have no idea what the cake looks like and it turns out to something like this!

(except maybe it looks more hand painted like this, or maybe she does the art with icing like above)

Either way Will is completely shocked and loves this and is all like ‘oh my god it looks so beautiful!!!’ but then is like ‘........I don’t know if I want to eat it it’s so pretty’

I also feel like the cake would actually have like a fruit flavour to it like maybe blueberry

I also imagine them having like extra desserts like this where they have the main cake, then on one side is Selene’s art pallette and the other an old typewriter Will has and then beside them is something like this:

So I had another idea for this

So maybe with their first piece of cake, they are blindfolded and have to try and serve the first fork piece to each other (while blindfolded) so they both start to get cake on them (especially if there is fruit filling lol)

Who proposed to who first

Will proposes to Selene but I haven’t quite figured out how yet (let me know if you have ideas! :P)

Who walks down the aisle and who waits at the altar ( or neither )

What their wedding dresses / suits / other look like

So I didn’t want to choose Selene’s wedding dress but this is what Will would look like

What their wedding colour scheme is and what sort of decor they have

OMG SO MANY IDEAS

So I feel like the flowers colour scheme would be something like this but with things like red roses and white carnations and some dahlias and larkspurs and a few other flowers that might be a light pink to even out some of the red and white:

HOWEVER, TO GO INTO THEMES:

so I feel like the flowers would be the centerpieces but in vintage vases, all of which they got at the vintage store where they first met

There are also a few other vintage things around the reception like little decor figurines that fit with the theme or they have pictures of themselves (and the dogs) in vintage frames

Also each table is assigned either a favourite artist/painter that Selene loves or one of Will’s favourite authors. Each table place will have a postcard-like piece with the guest’s name on it but each guest will have either a different painting by that artist or book cover by that author and on the back of it is the story of that artist’s painting and what it’s called while the books have what the book is about and the story of the author

What flowers are in the bouquet ( if applicable. bonus: what do the flowers mean? )

thought you might want to do this one since it would be Selene’s flowers

What their vows are ( eg poetry, traditional, improvised etc. )

I think they would have their own personal vows that they write to each other but then they also do the traditional ones after

If anyone’s late to the wedding

No one is late to the wedding

Who’s in the bridal parties / groomsmen / other

Will’s sister and Selene’s brother are obviously in the bridal and groom parties but they also include a few of their close friends as well. It’s not a large wedding party

What their bridal party / groomsmen / other are wearing

the groomsmen would be almost matching Will but their shirts are more plain and don’t have the ruffles in it

thought you would want to do the bridal party :)

Who gives speeches at the reception ( bonus: what do they say? recount a sweet memory or two between them? tell an embarrassing story? )

their siblings and parents all give speeches at the wedding and recount funny and loving stories from their childhood with their siblings

Will’s mother tells of how she came to know Selene and knew she was perfect for her son and how much she loves her

Who catches the bouquet( s )

one of Will’s friend’s girlfriends?

What their wedding photos are like ( are they sweet, with the couple holding hands or kissing or ~gazing into each others eyes~? are they silly, with a snapshot of the ‘cake-smash’ moment? or are they artistic, with one of them facing the sunset or holding their bouquets? )

okay so they are at this beautiful destination

AND IN FRANCE

so they would take a lot of pictures at the actual Chateau and in their gardens but also get a few on the beach

they also get a horse drawn carriage to take pictures of them in the carriage or in places around the city (carriages are also available for guests to go on quick tours during the photos

the pictures are mostly beautifully artistic and sweet but they also have a few silly ones or ones where they are just talking and laughing

ALSO THE DOGS WEARING ADORABLE LITTLE BOWTIES

What sort of food they have at the reception

they would have some traditional dinner foods like a roast and maybe some fancy potatoes and steamed garlic vegetables but would also have some French delicacy foods in it as well

Who cries first during the ceremony

definitely Will. He the first moment he sees her he’s getting teary eyed

How wild their reception gets ( who dances the best, who gets drunk first, etc. )

they have a good party at the reception but it doesn’t go insane and is still tasteful

I also feel like before a big party they would have lots of slow dances as well where Will and Selene hold each other and dance

they also have a dance where Will dances with his mother and Selene dances with her father

What their rings are like

Selene’s:

Will’s: (I feel like she knew he would like a traditional gold one)

What sort of favours they have ( heart shaped sparklers, mini champagne bottles, personalised candy etc. )

They have mini champagne bottles from France and with it is a small itinerary of things they could do while staying in the city or surrounding area

Where they go for their honeymoon

In in Palma and Madrid, Spain

Something memorable that happens during the party / ceremony ( do they run out of ice and someone goes to get it in full formal wear on foot, does anyone fall asleep in the middle of the party, etc. )

One of Will’s friends (a groomsman) is dancing and splits his pants as he tries to go lower. Everyone is laughing and the friend just shrugs it off and keeps going. In a few wedding pictures he’s in at the party there are some where you see it rip and the reactions and then also just casual ones where you see in crowd shots

when looking through wedding pictures they love to play ‘spot the plaid’ (he was wearing plaid underwear

Who officiates the ceremony

A legal officiant in France

What song their first dance is to

OKAY SO

They agree their first dance will be to Your Song by Elton John (because well it’s them lol)

BUT

Will records himself playing it and singing it and it’s a complete surprise to Selene so they are dancing and she can realize it’s actually him singing the song

Who gives who away as they walk down the aisle

I rewatched Eternal Diva and this time I took notes as I went through

Dive under the cut if you dare to experience my mad in-the-moment ramblings (warning for spoilers for pretty much the entire prequel trilogy)

- Don Paolo’s voice sounds like what Papyrus’s voice probably should

- Winter Layton is precious in that giant coat

- Janice is so pretty omg an angel

- Layton geeking out over the Detrogan is goddamn adorable

- I love how everything is greyed out in Janice’s flashback

- Suuuuuuuuper subtle indication that maybe “Janice” seeing how young this little girl was is what prompted her to find a way to put an end to this whole thing

- Whether it’s a moped or the Laytonmobile, Emmy drives like crazy XD

- Bitch you ain’t on Top Gear

- God her big sister relationship with Luke is adorable tho

- Aaaaaaaaaaaah Layton smiling at their banter dad’s so happy for his son

- They did such a good job reusing the game’s music for this movie

- The opera house looks so cool but so precarious – my first thought upon seeing it was “when is this thing going to sink”

- I MEAN IT’S ON A CLIFF

- Janice’s voice is so pretty TToTT

- I like that they kept the Japanese vocals for her singing

- SONG OF THE SEA-SHADOWING

- I hate that Layton and Luke were the ONLY people to honestly applaud the performance. Everyone else is a DICK

- First time I saw this dude, I thought “that’s a puppet, no ordinary person moves like that even in animation”

- Once again, Layton putting a polite and gentlemanly spin on “fucked if I know, my dude”

- Lol I love that even the people who didn’t applaud and thus apparently knew what they were in for weren’t down for dying

- Fuking cowards

- Layton is always DTF (down to fight)

- GROSKY OF THE YARD

- FUCK YES

- This dude’s manliness is infectious

- “Gee, I wonder who’s behind this-“ *Descole’s theme starts playing* “-oh well never mind”

- Honestly who else but Descole would be this fucking extra tho

- Gotta admit I love the twist of the opera house being a ship, I was totally expecting it to just go plunging into the ocean at a moment’s notice

- Aaaaah the CG in this movie is really well done

- Layton’s angry face is kinda ridiculous but I love it

- I love that it’s pointed out like “where tf did all these sharks come from”

- I prefer Cartoon Saloon’s Song of the Sea, but this one’s pretty too

- Lol as if a MAN-EATING SHARK could keep down GROSKY OF THE YARD

- I’m surprised he can see over the top of his chest hair

- God, the detrogan is such a cool instrument and I really wish something like it existed irl

- Ah, it’s only like fifteen sharks, Grosky will be fine

- I love the air of mystery surrounding Oswald Whistler

- Layton’s hat is made of 100% pure uncut husband material

- AAAAAAAAAAAAAH I LOVE HOW PUZZLES ARE USED IN THIS MOVIE IT’S SO GOOOOOOOD

- I’m so glad they didn’t scrap it entirely coz I mean they’re so integral not only to the Layton games, but Layton himself

- This music box tune kinda gives me Gravity Falls vibes tbh

- I think the backing melody sounds pretty identical to the tune’s intro

- I love that this movie actually lets us see inside Layton’s head and his thought process, it’s so much better than just having him put everything together seemingly offscreen

- Tbh any puzzle where “the night sky” is the solution is bound to be a good puzzle

- I just fucking love the implied MASSACRES in this movie

- God Luke is so goddamn precious

- Pffft pumpkin dude is so subtly duplicitous

- Okay I have ot pause for a bit to rant about layton’s design because it’s SO GOOD. Warm colours make him seem welcoming and kinda comfy and the simple facial features, while a bit Ditto-esque, do combine nicely with his overall shape to scream “friend”. Professor Layton is friend shaped. And of course there’s the popped collar to show that he’s cool, the high collared shirt gives a scholarly vibe, his shoes which I stg are plimsolls show a practical side and of course the quintessential top hat shows that he’s a Gentleman first and foremost. Add the amazing voice to that and BOI I DIE

- Although I can’t help imagining that gif with the teddy bear slapping eyebrows onto its face to look angry whenever he gets mad

- Luke is not friend shaped. Luke is son shaped.

- Precious bab shaped

- Wpw a sea captain I would never have guessed other than the “sailor” accent and the fact that you’re wearing a sailor’s uniform

- Ugh I love these quiet moments where things can sink in and characters can just talk to each other, I really wish more movieswould do this

- I love that even if you don’t have a literal look at his thought processes, you can still see Layton THINKINg

- Agh Amelia is SO CUTe this series is so good at designing beautiful women and cute girls while also making them look DISTINCT

- I like that they hinted at her intelligence by having her solve the puzzles by herself

- One advantage a film has over the games is that the visual novel format kinda limits the dialogue, coz it’s hard to convey one charafter talking over another

- I really like the side characters. They’re simple, yes, but they don’t really need to be complex

- I will admit that the limits of Layton’s simple facial features means it can be hard to tell who/what he’s looking at sometimes…

- “that man” asked me to write an opera, huh

- WHY DOES NOBODY ASK WHO

- Fuck descole’s theme is SO GOOD

- WHERE DOES HE GET THE FUNDING FOR ALL OF THIS THOUGH

- And Grosky boards the ship just in time for it to blow up XD I love this dude

- I can only imagine his gigantic pecs act as a flotation device

- Layton preventing Luke from looking at the exploding ship THIS MAN IS SUCH A DAD HE’S SO GOOD

- I love this scene with Emmy investigating because these parent’s appearances are just enough to make it ambiguous whether they’re Nina or Amelia’s parents

- Seeing them all wrapped up in blankets is kinda cute tbh

- LET. THEM. SLEEP.

- I wonder what Layton uses to keep his hat on?

- Lol Emmy pushing a fossil aside to look at the map

- I can only assume, given that they set off from the White Cliffs of Dover, that this island is SOMEWHERE off the coast of mainland Europe in about the same region as Spain

- Ugh I LOVE Emmy’s uppercrust accent, the fact that she sounds like such a refined lady is such a fun contrast to her literal arse-kicking

- Also this is totally BBC news lol

- I love the detail of the historian’s scrapbook being kinda hodgepodge with bits falling out

- And I love the Ambrosia Seal being super detailed but the subtle incorporation of a sheet music design

- Gotta admit I totally thought this little banquet was poisoned on my first watch

- Lol I love that pumpkin guy just KEEPS POURING THE WINE

- Ugh that beach looks SO PRETTY, I want to go there

- Janice is totally crushing on Layton, pass it on

- D’awwwwww luke trying to befriend ‘melina’ is SO CUTE this boy must be protected at all costs

- Layton how did you hear what she was humming from all the way over there

- Why do so many anime characters have inexplicable super senses

- Admittedly on my first watch I wasn’t as familiar with descole’s theme, but I saw that castle and I just thought “it’s descole, only he can be that extra”

- The twist of using the cages for personal protection rather than to trap the walls is simple, but so clever

- I love that Mr Whistler was one of those accidentally trapped outside. Keeps suspicion off

- And I love Layton saying “well that solved PART of our problem”

- YOU SHUT UP LADY THE PROFESSOR IS AMAZING

- And then he trips and falls lol that’s what you get for wearing old man shoes

- “Even a good gentleman needs to get some exercise!” pfft

- Oh hey, they found the starter house that Descole was using while he was building that castle. I wonder what texture pack he’s using?

- And here Layton puts MacGuyver to shame in the most Ghibli way possible

- I’d love to see someone try to build this thing XD someone call the Mythbusters

- Bjut I adore how even LAYTON isn’t sure how this fucking thing works

- The lack of background music in this scene is what makes it so perfect, the tension is so REAL

- Him being gentle with kids is so sweet

- Also damn this backstory is a lot. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a loved one, but I’m not surprised a father would do anything he could to keep his daughter alive

- “When did you realise I was involved” “ur an extra bitch who lives for drama, who else could it be”

- That brief bit of Luke without his hat just makes him look even more BABY BOI MUST PROTECC

- Okay real talk when did Janice get hold of the key

- I’m guessing it was in the commotion when Mr Whistler grabbed Luke

- SUCH A GOOD TWIST I LOVE IT

- My heeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaart goddammit

- In hindsight, the hint of Janice wearing Melina’s pendant was really subtle and clever

- GODDAMMIT DESCOLE CAN YOU STOP BEING EXTRA FOR LIKE TEN SECONDS

- It’s kinda cool that he’s an archaeologist too though. It really does run in the family.

- The way Descole and Whistler’s schemes intertwined was really cool

- Yeah, it just wouldn’t be Descole if there wasn’t some over-the-top machinery

- YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS MAGIC MUSIC THIS IS MY SHIT

- When escaping from a crumbling castle, do be sure to grab your boy.

- AAAAAAAAAGH THE SCENERY IN THIS MOVIE IS SO FUCKING GOOD

- Good lord, there it is. Descole just can’t function unless he has some ridiculous Humongous Mecha at his command

- This thing looks especially monstrous and I love it

- I don’t think I’ve seen ANY faults in this movie’s animation, jesus Christ

- Descole, did you learn nothing from the attempted excavation of Troy? It’s very possible that your efforts to unearth Ambrosia will be what destroys it!

- Aaaaaaaagh this flying scene is intense as FUCK

- Layton and Luke are SUCH A GOOD TEAM

- WHAT IS THIS MUSIC I LOVE IT

- Luke you are SUCH A GOOD BOY

- Sorry but you’ll never be mob tho

- Mob is perfection

- JESUS CHRIST DESCOLE ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL A CHILD

- I was about to ask where that explosion came from but then I realised it was probably a petrol-powered chainsaw

- Layton who told you that you could look this goddamn epic

- But I love that he’s taking on the sword-armed Descole with a PIPE

- That footwork tho

- Layton must be an amazing dancer

- So cool that he’s patiently explaining why Descole was wrong

- Sun, stars and sea. I feel like that’s a Dothraki term of endearment meant for oceanfairing

- MORE MAGIC MUSIC I AM BLESSED

- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH THIS IS THE FUCKING COOLEST

- I do enjoy that despite its emergence, Ambrosia is still partially submerged. Some movies would’ve had it rise from the sea completely

- Yeah, bad idea attacking someone right on top of your humongous mecha’s control panel

- “DESCOLE!” dude he’s fine you really think he’d die

- I was going to ask why Emmy didn’t use her plane but she probably couldn’t get to it in time

- Yeah, this is SO Ghibli. The gigantic industrialised machine self-destructing on the ruins of an ancient civilisation lost to nature

- Noooooooooo don’t do this to me movie, nothing kills me like sad flashbacks

- Ow my heart

- This hurts

- “I’m sorry, Father. I’ve only ever brought you grief and sadness, haven’t I” as someone who’s struggled with depression this is a whole-ass mood

- Also the lil detail of Whistler’s waistcoat being the same shade of purple as Melina/Janice’s dress

- “I’m so glad all of you were my very last memory.” Damn that line hits hard

- I said a hug, not a hand on the shoulder, she needs a HUG

- Seeing the destroyed detrogan really hammers it home, huh

- It’s very kind of Grosky to let Whistler play one last time in memory of his daughter

- When I got into the Layton series, I was no expecting to be hit so hard with the FEELS

- “Do you know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?”

- GNU Ambrosia, I guess

- Ugh it’s so PRETTY tho

- D’awwwww, I love the image of Luke patching up the wolves, he’s so sweet

- Knowing the truth about Emmy and seeing her being so happy with Layton and Luke makes it really painful :’(

“Don’t you dream impossible things?”

On Friday August 2, 2019 one of my biggest dreams came true. I met my favourite musician, role model and best friend: TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT. Here’s my story:

So it was on a Tuesday evening when I received the message of messages on twitter. The Direct Message from Taylor Nation. I was just casually looking at my phone since it had been around 6 PM. I also got a message from Tayswiftdotcom about the ME! Vinyl, which I won… But of course I read the message from TN first and I was SHOOK. I don’t know my exact reaction, but I must have been in shock. I was even wondering if this really would be for secret sessions??? I first told my best friend – the one I trust with my heart – as fast as I can. It went like ‘OMG E’ ‘OMG KSJOD OMG’ and she knew what it was. She actually didn’t know more info. SHE JUST KNEW.

I told about the message to my parents, sister and another best friend too. My sister knew a bit about secret sessions and stuff already, but my parents didn’t. My mom was even a bit scared that I would get kidnapped or something jsfkdjsfldjs but I comforted her. This was all real and TN is real. Verified. Legit. It was real 100% SURE. The message was real. As soon as I read the message, I answered with my information and then the waiting began. And the wait seemed to be SO long!!! Although it wasn’t THAT long, but feeling wise… I kept checking my DM’s. Did they read my reply already? Fortunately I had things to do in the meantime. This helped me to distract myself from social media.

I got the call on Thursday, July 18, around 10 PM. It was after my mom’s birthday. I received a call waiting as I was calling with my sister already. It took me a few seconds to realize though. So I said “wait, I got a call” and checked the screen… and then I saw a US phone number. I immediately got back to my sister: “THEY’RE CALLING!!! I NEED TO HANG UP NOW.” So I hung up, but TN also did. So… I immediately called them back, while I ran upstairs with a notebook and pen. I didn’t even think about how much this call was going to cost me… I just didn’t realize, HAHAHA. I sat down behind my desk without even turning on the lights and waited. Then I heard “do I speak with Mrs. Jennifer?” and my nerves went SKY HIGH. It was Michael from Taylor Nation. The conversation remained 16 minutes and 23 seconds. I know, quite long, but that’s because of my lack of English… haha. During the call they invited me officially to go to the UK for… an event.

After the call it was time to rearrange things. Luckily enough I still had two weeks left. My sister helped me much with searching for flights and an accommodation. I’ve not much personal travel experience… I just really needed a little help. I wasn’t going to travel on my own, but with my mom who still had days off. We booked our accommodation in a lovely place near London. Of course I would have LOVED to sleep in the big city, but well… I’m definitely going back once. It was a nice and calm introduction to the UK for me.

On July 25 I had a lunch with my best friend E. We also had a little shopping spree. Of course I wanted to have a new outfit for this special day. AND I WASN’T THE PERSON WHO FOUND THE DRESS. No, my best friend spotted the dress and I immediately was like ‘YES!!! That’s it!’ It looked so romantic, lovely and it was screaming Lover at me.

In the two weeks before my flight I’ve been so excited. It’s been such a weird time, like… When I scrolled through my timeline and saw tweets about secret sessions (stuff like ‘which pose would you choose?’), I was giggling and thinking ‘wait, so I’m going to be THERE??? LIKE REALLY THERE – IN HER HOUSE?????’ It felt so insane and surreal. I couldn’t believe it.

We arrived in the UK on Thursday August 1 and took it slowly. We didn’t have much time and both my mom and me needed some time to acclimatize. We decided to stay just in the countryside of London, which was really okay to me. Actually I loved it very much. I love nature and more local places and especially the place where we stayed. On the other hand, our place still had this big shopping mall with shops like New Look, H&M and Top Shop. It was a small town, but not that boring haha.

Around 4 PM we were arriving at our accommodation, where we met the guest lady (Arie). She was so kind and friendly!!! And the house looked beautiful and lovely just like the town. My mom and me had room 5 which was one of the attic rooms. Normally we would have shared a bathroom with room 6, but that day we had a private one since room 6 hadn’t been booked yet.

So, when the guest lady was introducing herself, she also complimented my t-shirt. I wore my Meredith shirt from Taylor’s collection, so that was really nice! She even told me she was going to search for the shirt online! She needed it hahaha!!! That conversation made me like this lady even more.

But well… the day went by and suddenly it was Friday. August 2. THE DAY OF THE EVENT. And NOW I really felt the nerves and excitement. Yes, this morning I finally felt the nerves. Although it came even more later on the day, but I’ll talk about that soon. First things first, people. I’m the princess of details. (Taylor is the queen!)

We didn’t plan anything specific this day except for the event. I think I woke up around 7 AM first, but then I was going back to sleep. And then I woke up again around… ehm, 8:45 AM perhaps? I don’t know, but I woke up before my alarm set. (I set my alarm for 10 AM.) I ate my oats breakfast while staying in bed. Like, it was still a holiday, so let’s serve myself some breakfast in bed. My mom was also awake and had the same breakfast. After breakfast I watched one episode of Gilmore Girls and then afterwards it was time to get ready, I guess.

I was wearing the new bought dress and a flower headband, which seemed a really good idea. But I’ll come back at you about that later. We booked my taxi for 1:30 PM. I asked mom if she would walk with me to the gate. In this way she could see by herself who was going to bring me to the meeting point. It would made me feel a bit more safely. Also, it was a bit unclear whether the return taxi was included in the same booking as the afternoon one or not. This all ended well though. :) I arrived on the exact time as Google Maps told me I was going to be. This meant I was waaaaay too early, but well… Better early than too late, right? That’s why I brought a book with me (can you see me? – by Libby Scott & Rebecca Westcott). During the taxi ride the driver asked me where I was going. “Do you have to work?” he asked and so, I was like “no… I got invited for some event…” that’s it. Of course. I didn’t dare to tell ANYONE about this except the five people, who I trust with my whole heart. That was quite hard for me btw, since I’ve always been so honest to everyone. So, when I was arriving at the meeting point, I went into the lobby to sit down somewhere. I thought: no way that there’ll be someone already this early. But then there was this girl… she was on the phone, though, but I thought immediately: could she be invited too??? We were looking at each other a few times and then she hang up. She decided to sit near me and then… she (@yntcdtyler) asked. “Are you her for…?” And we were both like ‘YES!! FINALLY I CAN TALK WITH SOMEONE ABOUT IT.’ Apparently, I didn’t need to bring a book with me.

Later on more Swifties were arriving and for some reason we recognized each other immediately. Even though we didn’t really know each other. Or well… Sometimes WE DID KNOW each other. Like, that one time I met one of my fellow DUTCH SWIFTIES (@danique99xkiss) for the FIRST TIME AT THE MEETING POINT FOR A SECRET SESSION. Like… HOW??? APPARENTLY TAYLOR DECIDED TO INVITE US BOTH!! FOR! A! SECRET! SESSION! And we weren’t the only two Dutch Swifties. There were like six or seven people, who had Dutch as a native language. And there were so many different internationalities!!! People from Belgium, Spain, Croatia, Germany, Canada, even Singapore!!! But I was so glad with my fellow Dutchies. It made me feel a bit more comfortable. It was nice to meet everyone out there right before the evening of our lives was going to start.

Around 4 PM someone from TN walked over to us. She greeted us and took us with her, while everyone was thinking ‘IT’S STARTING!!!’ But unfortunately when we were inside, we still had to wait for like an hour. Hahaha, but well, we were together and again: it was so nice seeing everyone there! I just knew everyone was going to be sweet. We all had one big common interest. We were all here for the same reason. I sat next to my fellow Dutchies Danique, Britt (@alltoowonderland13) and Mila (@taylaaahhh-13) and also behind Laurens (@gotthatwhitetshirt) and a few other people. While everyone was mingling, walking around and talking with each other, I just sat there… Although I tried to talk too, but socializing isn’t my best treat. @ London Sessioners: Sorry if I was a bit quiet… I’ve always been the shy, introvert person… Please don’t think that I didn’t like you all, CAUSE I DID!!!

We had to leave all of our stuff in this room and couldn’t take a bag with us. And then, around 5 PM, we were about to leave… NOW IT WAS STARTING. FOR REAL. So everyone walked over to the door, where we were waiting to get on the buses. I stood next to Mila and realized that I hadn’t drunk water, yet. But in that moment I started to feel a bit dizzy or something… Maybe because of the nerves? So I decided to take a glass of water anyway. I didn’t want to faint omg. Mila and I got on the first bus and… I just kept thinking: THIS IS REAL!!!!

When our bus was arriving at THE HOUSE, someone from TN told us that that we had to pretend we’re excited, hahaha. They were going to film us, when we ran of the bus. Well, of course we didn’t need to PRETEND everything. Our feelings were ALL REAL. Duh. Oh btw, my first reaction to her house was like ‘omg this is really the house of a queen! It looks so royal!’ Like, it was so big!!!! I actually don’t know what I was thinking, when I walked through her front door… I guess I was just very impressed. And in shock. Oh and when we were all standing in the bus ready for our run, I said to no one in particular ‘I hope I won’t fall during my run’. I really felt my legs shaking jkdsfjksjf but fortunately it went well. I think I looked SUPER happy and enthusiastic.

Taylor’s house smelled so good. So, I don’t know exactly what I was thinking on my way through the hallway, but I know that for a moment I really thought (OKAY THIS IS GONNA SOUND REALLY WEIRD)… I really thought for a second that one of the security said ‘goedemorgen’ to me. I mean ‘good morning’, but in Dutch. I DON’T KNOW WHY I THOUGHT SO OMG, I’M JUST CRAZY HAHAHAHA. I think I was dreaming. But I really heard him saying ‘good morning’ in my own language, BUT THAT’S SO IMPOSSIBLE HAHAHAHA! @taylornation please confirm so I could decide if I’m really crazy or not

Anyway. I tried to take everything in so carefully. I just wanted to remember this experience very well, so I was paying attention to the most small details. She had so many perfumed candles around her house!!! And there was a cupboard in the dining room with many boardgames. The dining room was a very light and bright room because of all the windows and glass doors, which were all open widely. We were allowed to walk onto the porch too, where we could find cold drinks. Inside there was a table with pizza and burgers and also one with vegetables, fruit and Lover M&Ms (those were SO cute!!!) I remember how at first everyone was just walking around and looking at everything. No one dared to touch something lol, but soon enough people took food and drinks. And later people were sitting on the chairs. It was very surreal and bizarre to be walking around her house as casual like that. In the garden there was a trampoline too and two soccer goals. We thought those soccer goals were Joe’s idea, but that’s actually bsh*t. I mean, we all know Taylor can play soccer. Riiight.

Inside the house I was still a bit quiet and shy, but I really had the time of my life. I promise. I was just enjoying the smell of her house and the people surrounding me in silent. Besides, actually I just really couldn’t wait to hear her album!! But it was really amazing to spend time with the group of sessioners in London. At some point You Need To Calm Down was playing and everyone in the dining room started to sing SO loud. Like, really, REALLY loud!!! I was in shock!! And of course I just sang out loud with them! Some lyrics we even sang out LOUDER, like for example the sentence ‘AND SHADE NEVER MADE ANYBODY LESS GAY!!!!!’ That was SO awesome. I was standing next to the girl in the red dress (@taylorisglowinginthedark) and we immediately looked at each other after that sentence with this big smile <3 I really think Taylor heard us. She MUST HAVE. @taylorswift YOU MUST HAVE.

Not much later after this moment the listening session was going to start, but just before we go to that I still want you to tell about something. At another point there was a butterfly flying through the dining room and THAT WAS SUCH A MAGICAL MOMENT. For me it felt like Taylor was inside the room, but like, undercover. Hahaha. I know, surreal, but this whole day was surreal. So. But it was really one of my favourite moments. I mean, everyone was looking at the butterfly. It connected us just like Taylor and her music connects us <3

So, time to go into her living room. WHAT. YES. I SAT IN HER FREAKING LIVING ROOM!!!!! I SPEND A WHOLE EVENING WITH TAYLOR AND 70+ SWIFTIES. I sat somewhere in the back, because the room was full already when I walked in. But I found the perfect place. Inside a fire place btw hahahahaha, which wasn’t on fire of course hahahahfdhsfosjfosjf why did I say that? Of course it wasn’t on fire, sigh. My mind. Anyway, I sat half in the fire place and next to the air-conditioning AND a tissue box. So, perfect place. I shared the tissue box with Zita and Danique immediately, because I just KNEW we were going to need that. The parents from some Swifties were also sitting in the back on couches, and Tree of course, while we sat on those light pink blankets laying across the floor. Taylor put multiple cushions as well on the floor, so it looked all cosy. I loved the atmosphere. Up in the front there was a big chair with a side table, where obviously Taylor was going to sit with her iPod. THE IPOD. WITH THE MOST PRECIOUS THING. LOVER. We’d been surrounded by candles again and much wood. It was just a really cosy and warm place. Just as warm as her heart.

And then. . . . . . .Taylor walked in. AND WE SCREAMED. AND CRIED. AND SCREAMED. AND YELLED. She walked in from a door somewhere in the front, which lead to the kitchen, I guess. But I’m not sure. She was wearing a very soft and sweet outfit: pastel green shirt with stripes, white shorts and sneakers with stars pattern. I remember how I was just staring at her. I guess all I thought was ‘THIS IS REAL. SHE IS REAL.’ Her voice was so friendly and soft as well. It was truly amazing to hear all the backstories straight from her mouth. I could have listened to her FOR HOURS. I really wouldn’t mind. I was smiling really big the WHOLE time. I’m truly honest when I’m saying that I liked each song on the album. Also, Lover gave me many 1989 vibes, but more grown up.

During the listening session Taylor held a short break, so we could stretch legs and taste her SELFMADE PASTEL COLOURED RICE CRISPIES. AND THEY WERE DELICIOUS!!! Very sticky, but still very delicious. It was the perfect snack after hearing the most emotional song EVER.

Taylor took us outside while holding the plate with snacks. Although I was just realizing this in the dining room. Then I realized it was TAYLOR HERSELF who was walking in the front hahahaha. I really was on cloud nine. There were some Swifties who were allowed to jump on the trampoline. I didn’t hear this by myself at the moment, but apparently at that moment Taylor was saying ‘THOSE ARE MY KIDS’. After this she walked over to the parents – with a glass of white wine – to introduce herself, which is SO Taylor. And of course the parents took their children with them. It was all so amazing. The fact that she was just standing in the middle and talked to us in this casual way. Surreal. Taylor asked if people didn’t need to go to the toilet, but yeah, of course not. We all wanted to stay there with her. Duh. Hahaha!

After a while we were walking back inside for the second half of the listening part. First I was thinking of going to the toilet, but then I saw everyone going inside the living room and I thought ‘oh whatever’. Hahaha, I still had a place somewhere in the back though. But again not a bad place. Maybe it was even a better place. I had a bit more space now. I was still sitting next to Zita and Danique, and also to a girl with very cute cat shoes and @taylorisglowinginthedark. She had been sitting IN FRONT OF TAYLOR during the first half, which must have been a whole experience by itself!!! That’s also a reason why she wanted to sit more in the back now. I could understand. She wanted to give other persons the chance to have this kind of view also.

I tried to listen very carefully during the session. I couldn’t take my eyes off Taylor, but just because I didn’t want to miss a single thing!! I loved it so much how she was singing along with each song and doing those little dances. SHE’S SO CUTE, FUNNY AND SUCH A DORK!!! <3 When I was listening to the songs, I tried to let my body and feelings speak. I wanted it to experience as calm as possible, so I would let the songs sink in deeply. I thought that would possibly help me to NOT forget anything about this evening. If I’ll be listening to her album again on August 23 (or later), I hope I can remember everything again so clearly like I’m back again in her living room. This was such a special night. Once in a lifetime experience.

So, I said it already that I liked each song and that’s really TRUE. I’m not lying to you and also, this is just MY opinion. Personally I didn’t think during any song ‘meh…’ I also have some favourites… Track 7, 8 and 10… Not saying anything more. Just that.

After the listening session we were allowed to look into the DELUXE JOURNALS, which was such an honour. Unfortunately I didn’t hold one in my own hands, but well, I saw them and they looked really beautiful. And I was going to buy them (all) anyway. Hahahaha. Ever since we’ve heard about the content, I decided that I just want them ALL. GOTTA CATCH ‘EM ALL. My feeling between the listening session and the individual meet & greet was… weird. The evening was almost over, but the best part had to come now. And I just felt… I don’t know. But I know that I was walking from inside to the porch and back a few times. Mostly I stood with fellow Dutchies Mila and Danique, but sometimes it became a bit hot inside and so, I walked over to the porch. OH by the way, right after the listening part we got selfmade baking stuff again!! This time Taylor made VERY CUTE HEART-SHAPED PINK LOVER COOKIES. And since I’ve been a cookie monster, I ate them immediately of course. Although they were actually too beautiful to eat, but yeah… Wouldn’t it be rude if we did NOT eat them directly?

During the wait before the meet & greet I just couldn’t catch up with my mind anymore. I had so much stuff to process. It was TOO MUCH for my brain. But well, I survived anyway. But yeah, this evening was very surreal and a whole new fan experience.

Luckily I didn’t black out during my meet & greet with (THE ONE AND ONLY) Taylor Alison Swift. Since it all took a little longer than expected, some Swifties were given priority. For example, when people had to catch the train or booked a taxi. Something which I did indeed. Around 9:30 PM I told TN about this, but they were letting me wait anyway. Maybe it wasn’t necessary to give me priority, but apparently later on it was.

And then. . . . . . . I was in line for THE MEET & GREET. When I was standing there, I looked over my shoulder for a moment to check at my Dutch friends and was like ‘eeeek I’M ALMOST THERE’. I was standing behind the sweet girl from Singapore and we were both so nervous. Also, my eye decided to irritate JUST at that exact moment. Like, WHY???? Fortunately, I had everything under control before my moment with Tay. And I was so happy with the huge mirror in the hallway.

I don’t know the exact time of when I was walking into the living room. I didn’t wear a watch jksjdlfdsj, but I know what was happening at first. When I just entered the room, Taylor said to me, very enthusiastic, “THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMING OVER!” followed by the BEST. HUG. EVER. It was a really big, warm and REAL hug. She didn’t let go until I was deciding to (unfortunately). After her “THANK YOU” I was like “YOU’RE WELCOME” and told her how I would have come anyway. How I’ve done anything to come, because I just had to be there. Something like that.

Then I told her that I came with my mom. So she responded “Oh, she’s here?!”, but I was like “no, she’s still in the bed & breakfast”. Then Taylor said “oh, could you thank your mom for me for taking you here, please?” which was SO SWEET OF HER. How she thought about my mom <3 During our conversation she had this very sweet and friendly face the whole time. SHE’S JUST SWEET, PERIOD.

At some point Taylor also called me Jenni, probably because of my necklace. So I was like “it’s Jennifer actually, but…” and then she was a bit confused. She responded: “Oh, I always thought it was Jenni! But I’ll call you Jennifer then.” And just how she said my name and nickname… such a moment. It felt so personal. Hearing your full name said by one of the biggest musicians. I just--

When I told her that I liked each song on the album, she was like “REALLY??” when she held up her hand for a HIGH FIVE. LOVE HER. Oh, and also, HOW COULD I FORGET THIS???? Taylor also said “I like the flowers in your hair!!!” which was such a sweet comment!!!!! I’m so happy that I wore the headband. I just thought ‘this is very Lover era, so I should wear it’, but didn’t think of THIS.

Then it was time for our picture.Taylor asked me if I was thinking about a pose already. I answered “maybe we can hug and ehm… hold hands??” So she asked me “oh, and do you want it like this…” – she took my hand and hold it in a ~normal~ way and then she intertwined our fingers – “or this?” And immediately I was like ‘YES!!!’ Then she hold me even closer to her and SNAP! PICTURE TAKEN! Afterwards I thought ‘I hope this picture turned out well??? Did I smile?? How did I look?’, but I didn’t ask about the picture anyway. Right before I walked out, Taylor was saying to me “SEE YOU ONLINE!” and so I responded “see you at a concert!!” and that’s that. Wow.

Outside the room the sweet, blonde girl with the camera – from TN – was waiting for me. She asked how it was and I was like “good”??? I didn’t really know what to answer, I was just in awe. I also got a customized bag with merchandise. And then I was walking into the bus, where everyone asked how it was and again I was like “GOOD”. Nothing more. I was really on cloud nine now and so much in shock.

When we were all waiting inside the bus to go back to the hotel, I felt really dreamy and sleepy. I also really felt the urge to call MY SISTER!! Or just someone, but I wanted to call my sister first <3 But yeah, we didn’t have our phones yet. So I talked a bit with my neighbour, which was the sweet girl from Singapore! Although she was talking more than me, but well :) I loved her energy. Then after some time the bus was going to leave. It was … ehm, around 11 PM? When the bus was driving away slowly, it came past the meeting room. And. . . YES, the curtains were open. So we had a little sneak peek inside and saw TAYLOR!!! Which made us scream of course haha. Unfortunately someone from TN decided to close the curtains then, which she did slowly though… And she was waving, haha. She looked sweet and friendly. A sweet goodbye :( <3

Back at the meeting point I was waiting outside with Britt. It felt weird to be back at that place, while having a Lover Secret Sessions tote bag with me. Like, SOMETHING VERY BIG HAPPENED TONIGHT. WE MET ONE OF THE BIGGEST POPSTARS. TAYLOR. SWIFT. TAYLOR SWIFT. WE WERE AT HER HOUSE!!! Britt was also panicking a bit, because she didn’t really know how to go back to her hostel. But luckily we fixed that together (and with a local AND Stephanie from TN!! SWEET!) and she booked a taxi, so she was safe apparently :) And then my taxi arrived at 11:30 PM. . . . . . .

I’m posting the story on August 18, which is more than two weeks later. I had some time to let it all sink in, which was quite hard. Like, it was just SO surreal. I keep using this word, but it’s just the only thing I could come up with. My feelings during this evening cannot really be described actually. I enjoyed EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss this experience!! I’m very grateful for the chance. Thank you @taylornation SO much for inviting me to @taylorswift‘s house. And thank you Taylor for letting me in your house! <3 I didn't tell you everything I wanted, since I had this whole list of things. But well... I had the time of my life with you and all the other Swifties. And that's what matters. This has been one of the happiest days of my life.

The Vaca Espanola (moo!) and her pals have long held that if Sam isn’t partnered up with Caitriona, then the only explanation is that he must be gay. Because if the male half of a shippered pair isn’t so married already to the female half, extreme shipper logic demands that that man must be gay, and any girlfriend of his must be a ‘beard’. But then according to these people, Tony is gay too. And now Duncan Lacroix. In fact, in this mind set, in any actor who isn’t married by the age of thirty must be gay. Oh, and any man who wears flowery shirts and shorts must be gay too ( I hope these people never take a vacation in Hawaii). And if single guys go on holiday together, why, they must automatically be gay!

Do you get the teensy, weensiest sense that Its-moopoint thinks being gay is a bad thing? I know Spain used to have a famously macho culture, but from what I’ve read and seen on the news, most Spaniards have moved on since the days of Franco. Or have they?

The Vaca Espanola spent most of last year pushing the theory that Ms Balfe has had a baby by Sam. She convinced herself that Ms Balfe was pregnant again right up until she did her marathon, and showed off her amazing washboard stomach. (It never occurred to her that such a baby -were one to even exist- Cait has denied being a mother- might be the product of the boyfriend of four years standing. OMG! That would really upset the applecart!)

But then according to the Cait ‘n’ Tony haters, any man with floppy hair and sideburns must be gay. Especially if he’s waving an umbrella pole round on the beach, and has gay friends. In fact, Jess insinuated that any child Cait ‘n’ Tony might have would have to be the product of artificial insemination. (Ah, Jess. Such a droll sense of humour. Doncha miss her?)

Homophobes can always tell who’s gay, you know. The have their gaydar switched on all the time.

🌻Football anecdotes (I will be updating :D)🌻

•Spain winning the world cup: I remember that with my family in a restaurant we were watching the final and it was a happy (and nervous ) day because my whole family was very enthusiastic and I was the same, well it was the first World Cup I saw.

•Costa Rica went so far: In 2014 I was very happy about my teams, but my mother said "Hey let's go watch the Costa Rica vs Greece game" after all I have family there :). But when we entered the restaurant we weren't alone nuh uh there was like a loooooooooot of people screaming for Costa Rica (literaly it was a section for sitting, and security) and we were so nervous when the penalties came, and I was just like (please this dude Navas stop the penalty) and then BAM! Everybody was excited because Costa Rica would be in the next round, the atmosphere was nice everyone was happy it was awesome.

•Nobody in the Croatia NT is handsome?: I was in language class and we where using some articles of the newspaper (we were in groups) and I was cutting and thinking... And then I heard from one of the ugliest girls, in the other corner of the class "In Croatia NT nobody is handsome, right?" While she was reading the newspaper. And I looked up and just stare,shooked, shaking my head.

•HAHA LOOSER: Word cup 2018 hit my school, really HARD. So one they, the teacher told us that the next day we had to came with a shirt of the team that we support (all the school would be like that). That day I went with my sister and my godfather to buy the shirts, we bought the one of Costa Rica ^^ The next day was the match between Brasil and Costa Rica and I was listening all the way to school the match in the radio of my MP3, I was really nervous when I arrive at school because everybody was wearing shirts of Germany and Brasil (In my circle of friends we were Japan, Spain, Costa Rica and Nothing :v) The first hour I had social studies and that class was always so silent, while in the other classroom it was math class it was really permisive and loudly and they were listening to the match while I was dieing with my MP3 down the table, and then it just sounds GOAAAAAAAAAAL from the other class, my class was very impatience we wanted to know what happened, I know they don't scream for little Costa Rica, so while the teacher wasn't seeing my classmates took out their cellphones and told me "Brazil 1-0" and at the end of the period "Brazil 2-0" I was sad but I wouldn't cry there, but at recess I was walking and one from the other class saw my shirt and said: " HAHA LOOSER!" I just laughed and my friend (with the shirt of nothing) told me "Don't show your shirt, cover yourself!" But I was in the mode of " Bitch you want a piece of me fight me huh". Even my math teacher told me " Nice team, I'm sorry they lost" At night when I arrived at home from my friend's house, I was talking with my mom and then I just started crying.

•The other Modric: I was with my father watching some players and then he saw Mandzukic and say :" Mandzukic? The second Modric?" And I was just like: yeah 😅 and then he said : "Rakitic? The third Modric?"

•EW DON'T WATCH THAT: I was in a restaurant with my family and they were repeating a Match of Sevilla and I, joking, told to my sister: "Hey did you know that Çarrico is gay because he kiss another boy?" And my mother said :"What are you talking about, I wanna know, why you never tell me?" And I show her the video of Çarrico kissing Ivan Rakitic, I told her that the kiss was an accident. But she said "OMG THAT WASN'T AN ACCIDENT, LOOK AT THE ANGLE EHHHHHH EWE DON'T WATCH THAT". I was laughing and thought "Mother thankfully you haven't seeing my internet history 😂"

• KEYLOR NAVAS IS HERE I was very happy watching the phone and a friend of mine send me a picture of Keylor training so I ran to see if there was a match, and it was Guatemala vs Costa Rica, so when I saw the stadium, I asked where it was and they told me that it was here in my country, and then That's where I started... OMG NAVAS IS HERE, HERE IN MY COUNTRY AAAAAAAAA I WANT TO GO I DONT CARE IF I DONT HAVE A TICKET AAAAAAAAA WHEN YOU HAVE AN OPORTUNITY LIKE THIS AAAAAAAAA yeah and I freaked out

·HE HANDSOME: It was a normal day of school and out of nothing my math teacher started talking about football, and he said: ... for example that footballer Chamberlain from England..,, and the girls from my class were like: HE IS HANDSOME, OMG and i was like ;_; since you guys watch football for knowing who is he lol.

·Goalkeepers do nothing: Again at school they were comparing teamwork with football, ‘’If in a football team the keeper doesnt stop the shots...( its because of the bad defence, disorder and poor control of the strikers, i thought)... Its a bad goalkeeper and the team is going to go down’’ me: :\. Then a girl said: ‘’If that’s the case i want to be the goalkeeper in the teamwork’’ ‘’that means doing nothing you know” replied her friend. Me as a goalkeeper: :’’/

Finally getting to watch all the Eurovision entries!!!!! I’m sure I’ll have lots of thoughts and since most of you don’t care (but you should! it’s magical! have some fun in your life!) I’ll just edit this post with all my important opinions.

Poland - Meh. It’s fine. I feel like it will get lost among the rest though because it’s seems a pretty standard and bland pop song. Also, I thought some dude in the video was wearing a MVMT shirt from the watch company all over social media and I hated him but it was a MVMNT shirt so I may be biased.

Albania - I love when songs are sung in their native language! Also the lyrics are super emo so this Pisces is feeling it.

Armenia - I got excited by his early use of a fog machine but it didn’t really go anywhere. Oh! Guitar solo! His big on the arms wide open pose to show his pain. He ends on an island in a lake surrounded by pretty hills that I definitely want to travel to now.

Georgia - Their entry is called the “Ethno-Jazz Band Iriao” and there is a hipster dude getting super into the keyboard so it’s gonna be a hard pass from me.

Azerbaijan - this is a really fun pop song that could do well if she has a good stage performance.

Czech Republic - My people! This has a ton of views so hopefully it’s good and they get voted on to the finals. Oh, it has a cute boy who thinks he’s hot shit and is playing the trumpet and now he’s on a camel??? Yeah sure! I’m sold!

Norway - going for the win! They are bringing back the violin guy who won with the most points ever and he’s telling us how to write a song and there is a grandpa dancing and now he’s scatting. Eurovision!

Switzerland - It feels very now which could be on it’s side but I didn’t really know what she was singing about. Not throwing stones or something?? But it’s good to have a rock song thrown in there.

France - so far this is VERY FRENCH singing in black turtlenecks against a white background being somber. Now they are wearing life jackets because the song talks about being born at seas during war time i think? Now they are wrapped in those gold foil blankets. Can’t wait to see these looks on the runway next year.

Cyprus - she has some great looks (nothing but glitter!) but i have a feeling the song will be pretty forgettable.

Lithuania - the artist is rocking the indie girl voice https://youtu.be/8SU0gFPMwP8 so obviously she’ll do well.

Moldova - so far this is a much needed pick me up after that boring entry from Lithuania. More upbeat songs please!

Bulgaria - very spacey? rainbows? it’s called bones? they love beyond the bones!! this is more of a lyric video which is fine and it has the most views so far? i am very bad at predicting what europe loves i guess because it’s just meh to me.

Spain - dang this has a ton of views. it’s a very sweet long song between two youths. keep being sweet you guys!

Russia - this seems to be just a lot of words thrown together? i bet it would be better if she sung in Russian.

Montenegro - so dramatic! here for drama! running through a forest? something about frost has formed? they are playing a big game of chess? lots of running.

Israel - I don’t know what’s happening, there is trilling and clucking and I’m here for it. OMG so much clucking!! hahaha and it has like 14million views which is by far the most so far since I think Spain had almost 6 mil.

FYR Macedonia - This could be really fun but the artist has like not charisma. ALSO, OMG I’M NOT EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH! I’m only gonna talk about ones that I like after this.
