Of course they didn't know that he was a famous actor at first. What if Vil one day finds their sketches and paintings of him after months of knowing him? It's not like Crowley had given you a guide on Night Raven College or its students (though, wouldn't that have been nice?)

I mean, you had to reminded of Trey's last name not two weeks ago. How were you supposed to know who Vil Schoenheit is?

You'd only seem him at a distance. Passed him by in the halls while he scolded some poor first year. He even looked beautiful when he was angry.

He was just made to be painted.

You didn't show your friends the art. You didn't need to give Ace another reason to tease you, and being a stalker would've really been the cherry on top of your weirdness sundae.

Besides, it was just drawing. Practice! Sketches from a distance, doodles done in the margins of your notes, watercolors and paintings from memory...

It felt familiar. This man, this stranger, someone you hadn't even spoken to, made you feel a little closer to home.

"Really, you should have some sort of organizational system,"

Vil leafs through pages of alchemy reports and history of magic homework. "Might I suggest a recycling bin?"

You smile. It's not often that your friend- Vil Schoenheit, that is- has a day off. But today is Saturday, and your room is in desperate need of his touch.

"This is... chaotic," he says, brushing a clump of Grim fur off his shoulder. "And you live like this?"

You shrug. "I try,"

"Well, try no more. We'll have this done before dinner,"

His commitment is touching. Millions of screeching fangirls would give anything just to spend five minutes with Vil, and here he is, tidying your room for you.

It's almost cute. He's humming to himself, hair tied back in a ponytail, in one of your shirts (his are too nice to get dirty), sweeping Grim fur out from under your bed.

"Rook and Epel couldn't make it?" you ask, pretending not to care that it's just the two of you.

"I told them not to bother,"

"Oh?"

Vil tsks. "They would get in the way. We're much more efficient on our own- we work well together, after all,"

That's something he'd said before. You'd always wondered what it meant.

"Right,"

You switch places, going to strip your bed of its sheets for washing while Vil tidies your desk.

Off go the pillow cases, the comforter, the blankets. You're wrestling with your mattress when you notice that he hasn't moved in a while.

He's looking through some of the papers from within the bowels of your desk, smiling to himself, a finger held to his perfect lips.

"What?"

"Hm?" he hums, but he doesn't look at you. "Oh, just... admiring your work. You have quite an eye for detail, have I ever told you that?"

He's being weird. You let go of your bundle of bedding and look at what he's holding, but it's just your sketchbook.

Oh. Oh, no. It's your sketchbook.

"OH! Um, wait-" you say, rushing to his side. "Don't- don't look!"

Vil smirks, and he holds the art over your head. "How unfair. The muse should always be the first to see, you know,"

Damn his height and perfect, slender arms!!! Your eyes widen. "It's not what it looks like! I didn't know you when I did those!"

"Yes, I saw the dates. You could make a career out of admiring me, you know~" he chuckles. "I'd pay for these. I'm sure Rook would like a few, as well."

You're practically melting with embarrassment. "Come on- give it back!"

Seeing your pathetic, embarrassed whining, Vil relents, handing you the sketchbook with an eye-roll.

"What are you ashamed of? They're fine pieces,"

"It's not that," you clutch the book to your chest. "It's just- uh- weird, isn't it?"

Vil scoffs. "I'm weird?"

"NO! I meant- I didn't even know you, and I drew you almost every day- that isn't... strange?"

He takes a moment to study you, your body language, the embarrassed look on your face. From head to toe. And then he smiles, warmly.

"I am in a dorm with Rook. There are very, very few things that I find strange now. You admire me- I'm flattered,"

He gingerly takes sketchbook out of your arms and opens it again. "Not to mention, you have an artistic eye that any director would kill for."

You stand there, a little dumbfounded, but mostly very, very grateful that he's your friend, and that you can laugh about this together.

"I'm... well... thank you," you finally say.

Vil smirks, and pinches your cheek. "You're precious. Now, back to work. I want this room over with. These paintings won't frame themselves, will they?"

(she/he/they) Genderfluid (leaning towards fem mostly) - Panromantic Demisexual

Not me simping for my own design with this one oml.

- I've seen quite a few people headcanon Vil as Desi and I agree. I also view her as technically genderfluid but she normally presents very fem and is on occasion like, "Hm, masculine pronouns today."

- I was going to keep the blonde and make her have some root colour showing but it wasn't looking right. To be honest, she's slaying with the darker hair though.

- Made his eyes a deeper, purple-y blue and their earrings were a gift from Rook as they match her eyes almost perfectly.

- Totally a mother hen, keep in mind I literally have hardly seen her yet but I /think/ that's canon lol?

- Fashion nerd and could list the eras of different fashion trends and famous designers off the top of their head.

- Not a fan of physical activity, just does it to be in fit shape. She actually really likes to read nonfiction and love art history as well.

- Met Rook as first years and they bonded immediately. Probably the first person that Vil really clicked with.

Quick comment: Why does he look so fcuking weird w/out his hat in-game??? I have his ceremonial robes card and if he didn't already scare me, he definitely does now. I think my version looks a little less weird. Anyways, side tangent over.

- I kept his fuck-ass bob, it's simply too iconic, though I gave it a bit more volume and shape. You can decide if he's a natural blonde or not lol.

- I headcanon him to be Chinese and French, and he grew up bilingual. Has a hell of and accent and when he gets upset, they just swap to either Chinese or French, it's a fifty-fifty depending on the day.

- They're not super visible but the bow and arrow earrings were a gift from Vil to celebrate Rook winning an archery competition. I think it was pretty early in their friendship but that's when Rook registered her feelings for Vil.

- For as open as Rook is about finding others attractive, it gets nervous to directly compliment Vil to her face. This is more obvious with saying "I love you," which he doesn't mind tossing out to most people, it's just really personal toward Vil so they avoid saying it lol.

- Most of the compliments that Rook gives Vil are things Vil is already aware of so Rook doesn't chance bringing up all the things they love about Vil. (Can you tell I love them?)

*Breaks out the southern accent* Y'all thought the others thus far have been long, hoo boy... Y'all are in for a real treat.

- Firstly, my boy is transmasc. I feel like that's pretty widely accepted 'round these parts but I figured I should shout it out anyways.

- I made him mixed, Scandinavian? and Japanese and gave him some brown eyes to boot. Kept his face real dainty but gave him broader shoulders and a farmer's tan 'cause y'all know he's working at his parent's farm every summer.

- He's styled in like, the southern goth aesthetic and I added some green to his hair 'cause the 'poison' part of 'poisoned apple' wasn't coming across enough. By the way, his grandma dyes her hair in solidarity with him. She's cool. Be like Epel's grandma.

- When he first arrived at NRC, he only had his lobes pierced, then he saw Jade's piercings and was like "I want that,". Jade directed him to Cater, who gave him all his other piercings (not at the same time lmao). Everytime he got a new one, Vil would have a minor heart attack lol.

- I think he'd also actually really like cute things, one of the reasons he lets Vil doll him up for so long, but hates bringing it up 'cause people call him 'girly' or 'feminine' for it. This is another underlying factor for my Jack/Epel dynamic but I'll save that for later.

- Speaking of Savanaclaw, I think he has plans to transfer at the beginning of sophomore year. Also, because he hangs around Jack so much, they kinda consider him a part of the pack. In particular, Epel also really looks up to Leona and approached him in Spelldrive Club about transferring. Leona agreed and took notice of Epel's admiration and if he puts a little more effort into practise afterwards, that's no one's business. (I think he's be like, "Goddammit, these kids keep looking up to me... I should at least give them something worth looking up to." Only the MC would know, and probably Ruggie would notice just having know Leona.) Also, Epel saw Leona's chaps and immediately wanted a pair. Leona took him out to get some and when they got back, Vil was horrified lmao.

I love Epel/Savanaclaw dynamic sm omg but onto my ocs... (Also, I really hope y'all read that with a southern accent, I think it's hilarious lol)

Third Year - (she/her) - Sapphic Aromantic

- She's twisted from Mother Gothel, who, can I just say, SLAYED in her movie ong. Though Disney really needs work on their representation, specifically the fact that her character is very Jewish-coded (I don't think she's canonically Jewish but please correct me if I'm wrong) but is portrayed in an anti-Semitic way, feeding into negative stereotypes. I'm not the most knowledgeable person to speak on this issue and I know it's been throughly discussed by others so please feel free to research it. I did have a friend who is Jewish help me make her character and I hope I did her justice!

- I made her Jewish, specifically Ashkenazi and conservative. I'm not quite sure yet how this would translate into Twisted Wonderland but we'll see.

- She's all about makeup products and she and Vil compare skincare routines in a sort of friendly competition.

- Another fun nod is she loves gardening. Namely flowers but occasionally crops and herbs. She's got her own little plot in the greenhouse and she and Epel discuss gardening tips together.

- She's also a nail artist and quite skilled at that. She has a small 'business' and is especially booked around school events.

Now for one some of y'all have wanted to see for a bit...

Second Year - (he/him) Transmasc - Pan-Demiromantic

The one man I've made this whole time lmaooo.

- Tupac is my Yzma twist! His name is Incan, ironically meaning 'royal', as I figured out The Emperor's New Groove is inspired by Incan culture!

- He's the most flamboyant twink to ever walk the earth and I love him for that. That being said, he and Rocío are my token 'heteros'. They've been friends since first year and get along extremely well. He's got book smarts but literally no common sense. She has no common sense either and so they j st get into silly shenanigans together. I love them sm my little sillies.

- He's more into dramatic makeup and loves to do Rocío's because she's not into makeup and doesn't really know how to do it lol. He's also made her get a nice skincare routine which she follows diligently as she likes routines.

- Probably a part of the Boardgame Club, though I'm not sure how well he does. He probably just enjoys hanging out with the people and the banter rather than the games themselves, though I think he'd be very good at chess and other strategy games.

First Year - (he/she/it) Genderfluid - Asexual Aromantic

- The first of a set of twins twisted from the Siamese twins in Lady and the Tramp (I think that's what they're in, it's been a hot sec lol). I made them mixed, Black and Thai as Siamese cats originate from Thailand.

- Onto Chaisee specifically, I think he's the 'black cat' personality out of the two of them. She's on the more reserved side and is more blunt and to the point than his sibling is. Also autistic and has particular issues with loud noise and food textures. Not a fan of physical contact and hates being touched without permission.

- He like to fluxuate between masc and fem styles a lot (with the fem pictured here) and enjoys suits for formal wear.

- While it's into fashion, he likes to be more of a rough sketch and designer than actually doing the sewing. Her designs are quite avant-garde and lean into lots of floral patterns.

- She and Nasira work together to come up with different floral arrangements, both for Chaisee's designs and for Nasira's dorm.

First Year - (they/them) Nonbinary - Pansexual

- Churai is the 'tabby' cat energy one. They're very affectionate and full of energy. They love to help out others and are constantly doing things with other people.

- A hands-on person, Churai loves sewing and is a part of the sewing club. They tend to be the primary person to work on their sibling's designs because of the level of detail needed.

- ADHD and has to be doing something at all times. Because of this, they have a TON of hobbies, ranging from scrap-booking to fishing to reading about random topics. Gets along incredibly well with Kalim and they love hanging out with him. Also a very touchy person, loves hugs and cuddles!

- Their style is more on the feminine side and they love making cute dresses to wear. Definitely takes a lot of inspiration from the gyaru and harujuku fashion scenes.

First Year - (she/her) - Asexual Aromantic

Last of my Pomefiore characters and second of the triplets, Corentin Benoit!

- The technical oldest of the triplets and she holds that over their heads. She's was both happy and not to be in a different dorm than her younger siblings.

- Looks up to Hestia a lot and wants to be like her when she grows up (as if Hestia know what she's doing but yk).

- She's particularly interested in the poison aspect of Pomefiore and is keen to eventually become housewarden. As such, she's asked for Vil's help to learn as much as she can about making them.

I don't have a lot for her yet but god, this has taken so fcuking long to write omg. I hope y'all liked it! Ignihyde is next!~

Yes and no, I think. He isn’t always super jealous, he knows that Lilia is a popular guy; but a lot of Malleus’ calmness regarding this topic comes from the fact that he knows that Lilia could have hundreds of boyfriends, and none of them would take Malleus’ place. Malleus is way too special in Lilia’s life, what they have with each other could never be recreated with any other boy.

But this is also one of the reasons for Malleus’ pettiness. Malleus feels like he is entitled to Lilia’s attention, and always has this feeling that he is kind of neglected by Lilia. Sometimes he is just capricious and cranky and wants Lilia’s attention, and Lilia is busy out there doing other stuff with someone. And this isn’t right >:(

Don’t worry, Anon, you know us: what you just described was pretty much the idea lol

I think Rook expected Epel to react this way. He knows that Epel is tougher than he looks and that he lived close to the nature, so to speak, but in his eyes Rook sees a boy who hasn’t really encountered real blood before, especially blood of a wild animal that you’ve just killed. While Epel is tougher that he looks, he is also softer and more pure than he looks, so of course it’d freak him out. The only thing that Rook didn’t know was just how much it would. So yeah, he really really wanted to see Epel feel this wild animalistic fear and suffocating guilt, and Epel’s reaction wasn’t disappointing.

As someone who used to have a hard time understanding and expressing his own feelings, Rook is very drawn to the whole spectrum of emotions, and even the most negative ones he finds beautiful. And arousing too! I think he is pretty fetishistic about this whole thing and gets hard just thinking about how strongly one might feel about something. So seeing Epel killing an animal for the first time and being so panicked because the reality of what he did just hit him? One of the tastiest things in the world.

Alright you get the idea, Rook kinda thought Epel would scream and shiver, but the fact that he reacted the way he did was so much hotter.

And YES Rook would absolutely love Idia. There are a lot of reasons for him to be into Idia to be honest, and his range of emotions is absolutely one of them. While Idia isn’t really a “running through the forest” type, and is difficult to catch outside of his room in general, whenever they do get to interact, Rook is tickled by the potential this boy has. Rook would probably compare himself to a cat playing with a mouse.

Sorry for the late reply, Anon!

To be honest, all possible scenarios for these two are kind of “bad ends”, even if they end up working through their differences, maturing together and becoming a loving and functional couple of adults: their circumstances would still make the scenario a bad one somehow simply because we love the emotional anguish of it lol The possibilities are endless.

But if we talk more specifically, here is at least one bad ending with these two staying together that we actually discussed with Katsu, and if I remember correctly, it’s pretty much “the main storyline” of the AU:

Azul becomes more and more powerful; his business grows and becomes a monopoly that can’t be stopped because he is backed by the Shrouds + has built a lot of other useful connections with the elites, including governments of different countries. He doesn’t influence Styx too much, but it’s mainly because he needs to maintain the image of being open to a compromise, plus because he didn’t find a way to abuse the blot research to his own advantage yet. He doesn’t want to rule the world politically, but when food, clothes, housing, medicine and a lot of other parts of everyday life are controlled by the big and scary Ashengrotto corp, does he even need to do anything else?

Idia still does his thing, i.e. whenever he isn’t busy at Styx, he sits in his dark room and doesn’t talk to anyone. He still invents stuff, but doesn’t do it as much anymore, because whatever he creates either becomes a new best-selling gadget, or ends up being used by Azul and his goons to maintain the power he has. Idia tells himself all the time that he doesn’t care about the state of the world, and people are idiots for trusting Azul so much and basically allowing him to grow this big, but he knows that this isn’t really fair, and that Azul is a manipulative bastard that only gets more and more greedy with every new passing day, like a caricature version of himself. But all of that doesn’t matter, because it’s not like Idia can do anything about Azul, so he drowns himself in escapism more and more, and avoids people to the point that he doesn’t talk to anyone at all, even when he is at Styx. Ortho is still with him though, of course. So he lives in a bubble and probably even loves it that way.

When it comes to their relationship, Azul thinks it blossoms beautifully. He adores Idia, he is obsessed with Idia and his control over Idia’s life has gotten stricter. He makes sure that Idia is being watched at all times, doesn’t allow anyone to see him (so yeah at least he stopped forcing him to come to business parties). And Idia isn’t necessarily in love with Azul, but the way he treats him is a comfortable reality now, even if it’s suffocating. It is suffocating and painful sometimes, but at least Azul would gently stroke his cheek and giggle while saying that Idia doesn’t need to do anything, because Azul will always take care of things.

How I feel about this character

Omg okay, I like Leona a lot. I think that he's a character out of Yana's usual comfort zone which I find extremely interesting, if that makes sense? I don't think she's written anyone quite like him before, and as an avid fan of her work since Rust Blaster, that's very intriguing for me and was the first draw to this character. I can see parallels between personality for so many other characters to those from other works of hers ( cain and lilia, kei and silver, ciel/o!ciel and riddle, sebastian and jade/malleus, druitt and rook, kalim and soma, sebek and edward, etc. ) But Leona is pretty new characterization imo, especially given the pretty clear information we're given that he struggles with depression. It isn't easy to write characters with mental illness, but so many of the TWST characters have some type of it and they're all very well written. Leona's way of coping is what's perceived as his ' laziness ' or the constant napping. I think that's fabulous. He doesn't explain himself regarding it and he doesn't want to; he's a very private person when it comes to personal matters and he hides that behind an uncaring and sometimes borderline cruel facade in order to make sure people give him a wide berth so that he can deal with his own stuff and be alone with himself while simultaneously not letting it affect others. He does this a lot, with the Spelldrive tournament and his OB being the exception since that clearly meant a lot to him, and probably brought out/triggered a very old inferiority complex surrounding his relationship with his brother ( deemed the successful golden child ) whom I'm sure he saw parallels with in Malleus and his success.

Beyond the portrayal of his complicated mental health and complexities surrounding his family, however, I also love his not-so-secret soft side that comes out in small ways, mostly around his underclassmen. From letting Riddle sleep on his lap for three hours after they were kidnapped, to allowing Epel to follow him around all day to ' observe his manliness ', and even protecting Jack from upperclassmen who were bullying him, Leona is quite good to those who are younger, and often times in a sense weaker than he is, which fills my heart because it just goes to show that he has some innate instinct towards caring for others, something which he probably used to have towards the people of his Kingdom as well, but something that he's struggled to uphold as he's become more and more jaded whilst growing up and seeing how little he himself mattered in comparison to his brother, in the eyes of both the royal family and, very likely, his people, since he's merely the ' spare ' rather than the ' heir '.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Ruggieeeeee. My OTP is 100% Leoruggie. They make me so incredibly happy. I picture Ruggie as the type of person who simply doesn't bond with over people beyond surface level as a defense mechanism. He grew up extremely poor, literally having to eat out of garbage cans while he took care of his elderly grandmother and lives under the oppression of lions. But I fully think that the reason he first started sticking to Leona wasn't actually money or favors or anything of the sort, but because he saw something in Leona that he hadn't seen before. I think Leona is probably the first person of high status that Ruggie has ever met, the first royal, and the first lion to treat him like anything more than trash on the side of the road. After meeting Leona, they spoke normally, joked like equals, and all of that probably made Ruggie feel like he'd found a kindred spirit...as did Leona's frustration that - despite having all the skills to do so - he couldn't seem to climb higher than the station he was given at birth.

Still, I think Ruggie decided to start following Leona because he became a beacon of light for him, and of hope that if they were somehow able to get him on the throne one day, things might change for Ruggie's people. Or even if he didn't get to the throne, as a royal, Leona could still do something to participate in moving their society forward and uplifting the less fortunate. But I think he wants to help hoist Leona up in the world however he can regardless, because Leona is so different from everyone else he'd ever met, and because he sees the world from a different point of view. Different ideals, and all of that. And besides that, I think he probably felt like he’d found belonging with him.

But as for the ship part, man, Ruggie has to love him in some sort of way, because how could anyone let themselves be nearly murdered by someone and still want to be by their side afterwards if there wasn’t love there? Leona seems to be the only person Ruggie truly trusts, and honestly I think that goes both ways. The two of them clearly have the type of bond other people probably can't understand, the type that allows them to stay together normally even after a murder attempt. I have a lot of feelings about them - I just love seeing them together. They've both suffered and been lonely their whole lives in their own ways, but finding each other has changed things. I adore them.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

This is weird but probably Cheka? I just love any chance to see their interactions. He loves his uncle so much, and despite the fact that Leona clearly has plenty of unresolved issues surrounding his brother that he needs to work through and that he projects onto his nephew, he's also not necessarily cruel to him. I think Leona is probably very special to a child like him because he's being raised with all of the weight of the world on his shoulders as the next in line for the throne, and is going through what I'm sure is a very rigorous education for it. I can't imagine he gets much time to be a normal child, and I can't imagine there's anyone in his day-to-day life that treats him like one, which is why Leona is such a significant figure for him. Leona just treats him like his pesky nephew, which for a developing brain desperately seeking a bit of normalcy, is a big deal. I also think that regardless of whether or not he realizes it himself, Leona also benefits in a big way from having the unconditional love of a family member in the way that Cheka gives it to him.

My unpopular opinion about this character

See above, where I discussed that he's not just lazy or mean like some enjoy writing him off as.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I want to see more of his relationship with his family, specifically his brother. I'd love for the two of them to reach a breaking point in Leona's resentment towards him and finally have an actual discussion. Maybe he doesn't even realize that Leona is feeling the way he is. Idk.

I'd also like to have a bit more information on how Leona and Ruggie fully made up after his OB, or if they even really talked about it beyond what we got. They're both the type to bottle up their feelings and pretend something didn't happen, so who knows - but Leona almost killed him. That seems like a pretty big deal, and something you need to discuss in order to move past.

I made some of Azul's favorite~" I can also see the same with Cater's sisters being all "let me show you some embarrassing cute Cater pictures of when he was little" while Riddle tries to hide the fact he's dating at all from his parents. Some like "This is a family event with some classmates and friends from school"

My God Rook's family would be the WORST once they hear he's dating Vil and Neige! "How you manage to find such lovely people to date??" "When's the wedding~?" And the other side of the protective siblings being like- "So, have any of you two get in a serious fight?"

And don't get me started on Epel x Deuce/Epel x Savannaclaw family meet up-

When Sebeks parents meet Lilia they are so confused first like hes a parent but also attending his sons school????

Vil doesn't take his boyfriends to meet his dad. Period. Because his dad would use their love story for money and exploit the hell out of it and even Vil knows where to draw the line for stuff like that

Idia asks his dad if he could bring his partners on this trip and his dad went, "oh you mean that nice princess? Eliza, wasn't it?" and long story short Idia didn't go on that trip

Ace Trappola:

Huh? What in Wonderland were you doing in front of his locker? Were you trying to prank him. Ha! Joke’s on you! He was about to catch you in the act.

He sneaks up on you and try to cage you in with his arms, with every intention to call you out with a sneer. 

Well, needless to say, it doesn’t go as planned.

You freak out and end up throwing your love letter at his face, nearly poking his eye out. You used your preemptive to flee. 

He’s already getting geared to chase after you when it actually registers what you threw at him.

Oh shi-

He’s gobsmacked after he reads it. You really had such feelings for him? Why in Wonderland didn’t you just tell him? Now he looked like a jerk!

He’ll track you down later to properly return your feelings. You were his partner in crime after all, he didn’t know where he’d be without you. Of course he felt the same way. Though, he will still tease you for trying to confess to him in such a cliche way. 

Deuce Spade:

Wait, what were you doing? Why were you in front of his locker? Did you mistake it for yours somehow?

He walks up behind you, reminding you that this was his locker.

He doesn’t expect you to shriek and make a break for it, running as if Riddle was chasing you for breaking a rule.

He is so many different levels of confused. What did he do wrong? Why were you suddenly so frightened of him? Had he been making his delinquent face without knowing it? 

That’s when he notices your letter.

He doesn’t know what it is at first. Were you trying to put this in his locker? Had he forgotten something and you felt the need to remind him via letter? 

He opens the letter, and puts Riddle to shame with how red his face becomes.

You...him...you have feelings for him?!?!?! How? Why? When?

He spends the rest of the day overworking his brain, trying to come up with a way to answer you. You had taken the time to write this letter for him, the least he could do was show you the same effort. 

Jack Howl:

Don’t think he hasn’t noticed how skittish you’ve been around him lately. He’s been meaning to confront you about your behavior, but was hoping that you would just tell him yourself.

Little did he know that he wouldn’t have to wait long.

Yeah, at first, he’s at a loss as to why you’re struggling to get his locker open. Were you trying to break into his locker? Jack’s mind immediately went to accuse Ace of daring you to do something stupid again. But then he notices the envelope in your hands. Huh? Why were you trying to slip a letter into his locker? Again, he hasn’t ruled out Ace as the culprit.

Unfortunately, you spot his approach. You always seemed to know when he was coming, as if it were a six-sense. Your face paled and you took off, leaving the letter behind.

He reads it, noting how it was far too nice looking for anything Ace-related. He’s starting to have his suspicions about what it truly is when he finally reads it. 

His heart accelerates dangerously as he reads it. You had feelings for him? Honestly? He tries to keep calm, but the way his face lights up and his tail wags gives him away. 

He sneaks glances at you during class, waiting for the bell to ring so that he could give you his answer. 

Epel Felmier: 

He’s definitely curious about why you’re standing in front of his locker, fidgeting like a scared rabbit. Were you waiting to talk with him about something?

Then, he sees the letter. Suddenly, all the dots connect in his head. He’s in Pomefiore, for goodness’ sake. He knows a love letter when he sees one. He just never expected to receive one from you. 

He’s already slightly blushing when he clears his throat, alerting you of his presence. You barely spare him a second glance before you’re taking off.

He reads your letter, a little flustered at the heartfelt words. Your letter makes it clear that you like him for his personality, brash words and country-accent and all. It makes him a little lightheaded to think that someone would see past his looks and still like him all the same. 

Ugh. He’s gonna have to confess to you now, isn’t he? Fu-

Since he’s in freaking nosy as hell Pomefiore, it’s only a matter of time when either Vil or Rook discover his plans to confess (or worse, both). 

He takes their advice with a grain of salt.

In the end, he expertly carves an apple to resemble a rose bud and he waits in front of your locker this time, with no intentions of running away. 

Sebek Zigvolt:

Subtlety? What’s subtlety? 

The moment he sees you loitering in front of his locker, he’s marching up to you and demanding to know what it is you’re up to. He draws everyone’s attention to you, and you suddenly feel the urge to drop dead in embarrassment. 

You try to make a break for it, if only to save yourself from further humiliation. Emphasis on the “try”. This man has been training to be a knight all of his life and he catches up with you easily, cornering you.

It’s clear he won’t let you go until you fess up. So, you reluctantly hand over your letter. 

He honestly has no idea what it is at first. He begins to read it out-loud, to which you quickly and firmly tell him to shush it! Thankfully, he takes the hint. 

He’s about halfway through the letter, admiring how well-written it is, when it finally dawns on him what it is he’s reading.

He coughs, for once rendered speechless. 

He then carefully refolds the letter, putting it back in its envelope and into his jacket’s pocket. 

He tells you to expect his letter within the next two-five days, and then promptly stomps off before the blush on his face could become too obvious. You’re left wondering what the hell just happened.
